We were very excited to try this spot bc there is always a line outside, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. There are just way better brunch spots to settle for this place. We enjoyed it don't get me wrong, but it wasn't anything to wait in line for. David, the worker who calls people off the list to seat them sets the whole vibe of the place. He's so funny and good at his job. Hope he gets paid well! But sadly I leave this place a solid 3 stars for the hyped up soufflé fruits pancake and açaí berry topped with moldy blueberries. I quickly spat it out and was just glad my daughter didn't eat it. They apologized and replaced the acai bowl, but quite frankly we immediately lost our appetite after seeing that they had not even washed the blueberries... I do recommend their Lobster Eggs Benedict. That was delish and solid. Aside from that, the rest were mediocre at best. Acai bowl was bland and too icy under the fruits. Soufflé pancake was just okay... My iced hazlenut latte was too sweet and husband said his Kona coffee tasted like Starbucks. Also the bathroom was filthy and stank...
Great place for some awesome bfast and fluffy pancakes. This was our 2nd time here in the last 2 years, and this place didn't disappoint. Food and service are always good. However, expect to wait since the place is on the tiny side.

3.5 stars A friend recommended this place because of their high reviews for soufflé, so I came to give it a try. I arrived around 8am and there was already a long line, at least 20 people waiting outside and it was fully packed inside. Given the situation, I decided to just order one popular soufflé to see how good it really is. When I went in to place my order, the staff told me that to-go orders don't start until 8:30am and it's cash only, which was a bit inconvenient. I waited until 8:30am and ordered the coconut soufflé. The soufflé itself was light, creamy, and mildly sweet, with a few small pieces of macadamia nuts. It was good, but honestly nothing that stood out, it tasted like a pretty standard soufflé. This place is definitely hyped for soufflé, so the long line wasn't surprising. But at $19.90 for a coconut soufflé, I don't think it's worth the wait or the price.
My family and I went here for breakfast during our 1 week stay over Spring break. There was a wait but the food was worth it. Service: The service was super courteous Ambiance: It was very clean inside. Food: We all got different things and I have to say everything was delicious! * Souffle Pancake: My wife got this and I am not a pancake eater but I was intrigued and I tried it and well I had SEVERAL bites b/c it was so good (the picture doesn't do the presentation justice). * Eggs and bacon: My older son got his trusted breakfast and he loved it. * Acai Bowl: My younger son got the acai bowl and loved it. * Veggie Omelette: I got my veggie omelette and it was so tasty (with egg white and cheddar).
Aloha Kitchen is a pretty awesome breakfast spot right off the main strip in Waikiki, across from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It's a small, but very kitschy little dining room that fits at most 20 tables so definitely go early or pack your patience as you wait for an opening. However, the service is fast, but friendly and they are able to turn the tables with extreme proficiency and also making you feel welcomed. The items to get at Aloha Kitchen are its souffle pancakes and loco moco. The souffle pancakes is essentially the size of the plate that it came on, but because of the airness and lightness of it's execution, you leave feeling full but not weighted down by normal carbs. The recommendation is the coconut macadamia nut pancake with its unique combination of flavor and textures. The other local item is their loco moco. Get it in its tradition form with the hamburger patty with an egg over easy, but add the spam fried rice over the white rice. The combination of flavors along with its terrific gravy makes this a can't miss item on your stay in Hawaii. The one thing to be aware of is, the will announce the name quickly and only a few times and if you're not present after the first few announcements, you'll be marked as a "no show" and will have to go back to the end of the line, so definitely wait out front if you're there any later than opening. Otherwise, in a sea of numerous breakfast spots in Waikiki, Aloha Kitchen really does stand out. I only wish they had a bigger space, but wonder if that would take away from the charm of this space.
When you arrive, don't be concerned at the line outside the door. It moves fairly quickly and so worth the wait. Service was excellent and fast even though they were extremely busy. Food was amazing! It will definitely be on my must go to whenever we are on the island. (We will be back next week, which will be twice in the last 6 weeks). All food looked great but expect leftovers. They serve big portions!
Awesome spot! The service was awesome and the guy was super funny! There was a line but the wait was very short! The food was so good and everything was really nicely don't.
This place is pretty small, and the wait was about 20-30 minutes. The line was long, but the host/hostess was super energetic and definitely kept things lively. When my group (party of 6) finally got to the front, things took a weird turn. The host joked that I was "too big" and said they'd have to give our table to another party of six, implying that if I wasn't there, my group would've been seated right away. I brushed it off at first, but there were a few more side comments during the meal when he came by to check on us. It definitely put a damper on the experience. As for the food, I ordered the loco moco -- it was okay, nothing to rave about. The standout dishes were the soufflé pancakes and the lobster egg Benedict. Both of those were actually really good and worth trying. Overall, I'd say go for the pancakes. Just be prepared for a tight space and, apparently, some unsolicited jokes -- especially if you're 6'4" and 280.
Prepare to drop some cash here. The 5 star item was the berry soufflé pancakes. Worth it. The coconut cream were also great! 4.75 stars! Everything was good, especially the eggs and bacon. Cooked really well. The lox bagel was good! The French toast was okay. The waffles weren't great. They were just okay. I take a point off because of the price of the waffle. A plain waffle is $18. Turn off. The prices here are high. It was quite busy. We waited about 30 minutes but everyone behind us had a longer wait. Staff is nice and things turn out as quick as can be.
This place was SO good! I definitely recommend hitting this spot if you're in the area. It's very small and there's always a line -- but today, there was almost no line due to a torrential downpour. We only had to wait like 20 minutes to be sat! That being said, due to the sheer volume of people coming and going through this admittedly very small restaurant, the service does lack a bit. Our waiter was always rushed and barely had a moment to say hi. NHe wasn't ever rude though, and he was doing his absolute best, but we definitely sat for just a bit too long waiting for our check at the end of our meal. Now, back to the compliments. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and it definitely feels like a small and comfortable eatery. The food is far and above other eatieres that have souffle pancakes. My French toast was as light and fluffy as a souffle pancake despite being French toast, with great cinnamon flavor. I regret not getting a dish that came with the breakfast potatoes though, those were SO good. My partner got Eggs Benedict with Kahlua Pork, which were delicious. You could taste every flavor, and the poached eggs were positively perfect. I think there will definitely be some growing pains with this place due to it's popularity, but despite that, this place is certainly one of the best spots to grab a filling breakfast near Waikiki beach.
I didn't know anything about this place before my vacation. I was driving back to my hotel around 0645 and saw a line forming. My hotel was just down the road so I made note of the restaurant name and looked it up as soon as I parked. The reviews were amazing so I walked back and got in line. You put your name on a list and at 7am the host starts greeting and calling for parties to be seated. The host was full of energy and very welcoming. Such a fun way to start the morning! They are quick to get food out to you. The first guests seated was a party of 6. All were eating by 0715. My wait was only 10 minutes because I arrived at 0657. My food arrived within 15 minutes as well. I ordered the apple Alamode pancake with a side of bacon (5 strips). My food was absolutely delicious. I ate everything! Highly recommend you visit. WOW AND WOW!!! Our first place to have a meal after arriving in Hawaii and this place didn't disappoint. Service spot on and everyone is friendly and welcoming and everyone ensured we were take care of. Small quaint place but big on flavor from the local coffee to the meat lovers omelette and the strawberry and banana soufflé (pancake) was spectacular and so yummy. Wife and I will not be eating again till dinner lol. read more
This is one of the more popular spots in Honolulu for breakfast. I highly recommend coming right when they open as it can get pretty busy. We got their omelette, loco moco and their soufflé Mac nut pancake. The food was great here and the highlight was the Mac nut pancake as it was super soft and the sauce was so good and addicting! Worth the wait in line. Generous breakfast portions from a welcoming and friendly staff. A lilting "Aloha!" greeting as they seat you is a warm hug. The food is delicious and do not miss the soufflé pancakes. Custard-y and pillow-y and so satisfying with ample fruit. We had the Strawberry -sautéed bananas-Macademia nut soufflé pancakes with Nutella. So yummy! The lobster benny is a savory eggs Benedict with expertly poached eggs in Hollandaise sauce. The crispy potatoes were light and crunchy. A lightly dressed salad was a perfect addition to balance the dish. It was hard to stop eating the dish. Truly, there is a reason the line out-the-door begins at 7:30 AM. They close at 1:00 PM so, go before Noon to fully enjoy your breakfast. Awesome brunch! This place is about 5 min walk from Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. We had the Salmon & spinach eggs benedict (delish), Bacon cheeseburger, tried the Loco Moco, and the Portuguese sausage meal. My Benedict was delish, loco moco was ok, cheeseburger was, well a cheeseburger..we enjoyed the meals. Service was as fast and friendly. Happy tummy! read more
One of the fluffiest and lightest soufflé pancakes we've ever tasted. It was perfectly done and there was no waiting for the soufflé cake to be made! If you can only pick one soufflé go coconut Mac -- it is light, fluffy, flavorful but not overwhelming and just right sweet. Get the O.G. The kahlua loco moco was delicious and the service was great. We tried the country potatoes per another Yelper's suggestion and they slaaaaapped! Do not miss if you like seasoned, crispy home fries/breakfast potatoes. It "wasn't busy" by their standard when we visited and we waited about 30 mins for a party of four. Worth the wait to taste these amazing pancakes. Aloha kitchen was located pretty close to our hotel so gave it a try. We came on a Sunday morning and there was a decently long wait. There is no online queue system as you just have to put your name on a clipboard. We waited for maybe 20 parties and was only 45 ish minutes. Once we got seated we got to order right away. My friend and I shared the soufflé pancake and kalua pork eggs benny. Kalua pork was super tasty! I liked how it had pickles in the pork giving it extra flavor. The soufflee pancake was also super fluffy and fun to eat. Everything came out really quick after we ordered. Service was friendly and quick. Everyone seems very attentive. Excited to try this place because of their reviews. Walking up there was a long line, but luckily we were able to take out. Thing with their take out is that it is cash only. We ordered their coco Mac soufflé and Portuguese sausage. Soufflé was ok, one soufflé for about $27. Glad we tried it, but with so many options in the island--we'll try others as well. read more

First time dining here, and I have to say--it was definitely worth it! The soufflé pancakes are an absolute must--so light, fluffy, and delicious. You really can't go wrong, though be warned... they're so good, you might end up ordering more without realizing it (guilty!). The service was amazing--super friendly and attentive--and the whole place has that laid-back, chill Hawaiian vibe you'd hope for. But hey, we are in Hawaii, after all. Be prepared to wait - the place is smallish and popular. I got there around 8:30am on a Thursday. ~25 minute wait for a table for two. The menu has lots of options across sweet, savory, and local. We opted for Eggs Benedict with pulled pork and fruit soufflé pancakes. Eggs Benedict were very good. Healthy portion as well. Fruit soufflé pancakes were really good, be ready they are very sweet. Best breakfast we had during our trip here! The workers are all super friendly and attentive! We got there around 9am and then 30 min wait was soooo worth it! We ordered loco moco, monthly special pancake, French toast, and iced pour over coffee. I couldn't not speak more highly of this little shop! We decided to come because the soufflé pancakes looked so delicious online, we had to try it ourselves. We got to the sign in sheet and only had to wait about 20 minutes and were seated by Mark, who seemed to be the energy ball of the day! He took our order after recommending the loco moco. We ended up getting that with fried rice, an egg bagel sammy, and a very berry soufflé pancake to share. The loco moco was so rich, the egg sammy was perfect for a fulfilling breakfast sandwich and the soufflé pancake was my favorite, it was topped with vanilla ice cream The overall vibe was casual and relaxed, and Mark was great in wishing people Happy Birthdays and even shined a light for me when he saw me trying to take pictures of my food (that's why the picture quality looks so good, haha!) All in all, I would definitely recommend this little walk-up spot! If you're in the downtown area, I'd say to walk or uber here as the street parking can be tricky to find. Try to come earlier as we saw adjusted hours closing at 1:30pm until the end of September. From the sounds of it, the staff were fluent in Japanese so it's perfect for those traveling and visiting abroad. The coconut Mac soufflé pancakes are super soft and the coconut on top is super creamy. Really one of the best soufflé pancakes I've ever had. And just a few blocks from the beach in Waikiki, it's got a great location and amazing service in both English and Japanese. read more

Great friendly service. They are super quick and on it because there was a long line outside for brunch this morning. There is a parking lot that charges about five dollars an hour right next-door or you can park by the lagoon or street side parking if there is any. There is a bathroom in the back and they are super accommodating for any size party sign the waitlist at the front. read more

This place came highly recommended from my sis so we decided to walk there after reading reviews that there is street meter and paid parking. It was not a bad walk from our hotel. Lots to look at while walking there so the time fly by. When we got there is around 9 am. Not too busy yet. There were 5 names ahead of us, but right after 5-10 mins it started to get packed. The entire front was filled with families waiting. We got seated fairly quickly and we were able to place our order right away since we knew what we wanted. We shared the following items. 1) spinach and salmon eggs Benedict- fresh hollandaise sauce that didn't feel so heavy like some other places 2) soufflé pancakes with Mac nut sauce - my daughter and I were surprised how it was not too sweet which was perfect for us. The soufflé pancakes were so light and fluffy. We were full without feeling full. We even had some left over. They also have Togo, but it's cash only. Dine in they take credit card. Been wanting to try this place for a while but there's always a long line every time. Yesterday finally got to dine in here for breakfast. The service was great but the food was very disappointing! This place is overrated in my honest opinion. With the price and mediocre food, you absolutely aren't missing out on anything. I would rather explore other places given that there's so many options for breakfast. We ordered their soufflé pancake, eggs Benedict with salmon and greeny omelette. Salmon wasn't very cooked, the eggs were very runny and the taste overall was okay. The soufflé pancake was a waste of money. It was expensive and we ended up having few bites. The portion was big but the taste was underwhelming. This place is okay. read more

Had this place bookmarked for a while and so we got a chance to try it on our Spring Break in Hawaii. Restaurant was located about 10 minutes from our hotel. Parking was hard to find during peak hours. We arrived around 9:30am. My husband found metered parking a block away. My daughter and I didn't wait for him to get out. We booked it to the restaurant cuz we saw the line when we drove by. I wanted to put my name on the list as soon as possible. By the time I got there and put my name down, I was #24. The restaurant is small so #24 was a long wait, especially when the parties ahead were for 6, 7, 8, 9 people. There was one bench outside for people to sit on while they waited, probably fit 6 people. Everyone else stood around. We waited an hour. Once we were inside, we got our waters and ordered a few minutes afterwards. We ordered the strawberry banana souffle to share. My husband got the loco moco. I got the lobster benedict and our 6 year old got the loco set breakfast. Overall, food was delicious. Lots of chunks of lobsters in my benedict. Great flavors on the loco moco. Pancakes were so good, better than regular ones. Was worth the 1 hour wait. Staff was nice and friendly. Checked on us throughout. Turn over was quick also. People were in and out within 40 minutes. We stumbled on this eatery awhile back maybe a year or so now. Whenever we do a staycation in waikiki we always make our way to aloha kitchen. The vibe is always so cheerful and lively Especially the guy that seats us. He is always so lively. He always shouts our names jokingly. He also has a light so that you can take great picture. The servers are always so nice and attentive. The service is fast and food is always delicious; the Kalua pig and lobster benny is our go to. We also always grab the soufflé pancakes. It's a fluffy airy pancake. Only a few places make these and the are huge, you have to share the portion. If you are in the area and willing to wait 30-40 mins to be seated. The food comes really quick about 5-10 min wait. Try it you won't be disappointed read more

Wow, what a Hawaiian experience of hospitality! David, was the host with the most! great hospitality the right amount of comedy getting the customers ready for the tasting experience. i also noticed all wait staff tend to the. customer not like most places were the wait staff is assigned to an area it appeared that all staff took responsibility for good customer service! I recommend the "signature pancake soufflé i never tasted anything like it! light, fluffy right amount of sweetness, berries fresh not frozen. read more

When there's a steady line at a restaurant. That means it's probably a good place. We waited 40 minutes on a Wednesday morning. Not too bad, especially when you're waiting for some soufflé pancakes. I've never heard of them until this place. And I gotta say, the soufflé pancakes are AMAZING!!! Soft, sweet jiggly goodness topped with fruit. So good. It's unique and a special treat. I highly recommend. The lobster eggs Benedict was a savory treat as well. Only problem was the poached egg was more of a hard boiled egg than a poached egg. Overall, a great place for breakfast. Incredible food and service! So friendly. We only waited about 15 minutes and it was well worth the wait. We enjoyed Loco Moco for our first time and it was one of the most flavorful dishes I've ever had. We split a Coco Macnut Soufflé and it was delicious! Very light. The entire staff was attentive throughout our meal. And it was within walking distance of our resort! read more

I was just there a week ago...so yes they should be open. They are crazy busy so might not have anyone free to answer the phone. Wait time for breakfast is always 45 minutes to an hour
Where can I park?
We found limited parking in town and walk from our rental condo which was 3 blocks away. I saw parking on the side street like Lipeepee St or Horbron Lane.
Do they take Reservations for Mother's Day Breakfast?

Yes. Wait was long and service is bad when it's busy. Try to sit closer to the kitchen. We were seated in the corner next to the window and we thought that was prime seating. But when it came to being served it was awful. The only thing good there…
