We stopped by Banyan Coffee mid-morning and ordered a matcha with vanilla lavender (at the barista's recommendation), a Kona latte, and an ube cheesecake. Unfortunately, the drinks were not great. The Kona latte was so sweet that it overwhelmed the coffee flavor, and the matcha was both gritty and overly sweet. The ube cheesecake was also disappointing, as it had noticeable chunks of unmixed cream cheese throughout. The bright spot was the service. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and served us with genuine smiles, which made for a pleasant experience despite the drinks. One helpful tip: the coffee shop is located inside the hotel. You can enter through the lobby and head down the hallway to the right, or access it directly from the parking area. Overall, while the customer service was excellent, we wouldn't return for the coffee or desserts. read more

Super convenient location in the Waikiki Banyan. They have a good menu of coffees, pastries, breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Fair prices, and pastries all look good! this was one of the coffee shops we tried on our Waikiki trip. Although we love Starbucks we wanted to try the local shops instead. this was a small spot inside a nearby hotel. my daughter loved her drink here so much! she asked to return on a later day. BUT..,.i had black coffee and the coffee was not so amazing. We opted to try something different on subsequent days. service was great..2 guys working who were happy and friendly. read more

This spot was pretty good in our prior vacations to Oahu. However, we stopped by a couple times during our recent vacation and it was definitely lacking. The first visit was during lunch and they were out of lettuce so I couldn't order a sandwich with any and the second visit was a couple hours after they opened and they were out of açaí bowls. The service wasn't friendly either during both visits. read more

My son and I wanted a quick breakfast before heading to an excursion and landed on Banyan Breeze after another spot we had previously chosen didn't work out. Banyan Breeze is located inside a hotel and we had no issues accessing it. The staff greeted us upon entering. The cafe is cozy with limited seating. They offer coffee, tea, breakfast items, and a few lunch items. My son and I each got a breakfast sandwich and iced coffees. We were in a bit of rush and were grateful everything was prepared quickly. Both the coffee and the sandwich were both ok, but decently priced. Good spot if you're looking for something quick and fairly priced. read more

Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee and a bite for breakfast and it was good. I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and it was as expected. They toasted the bagel and the cream cheese came in one of those little disposable containers. It was $5 and did the trick as far as breakfast goes. The coffee was okay, too. The gals working there were friendly enough, so all was good! read more

Banyan Breeze was our go-to place for breakfast over the MLK weekend. It's a great choice if you want to pick up a quick breakfast without spending too much money. Each time I got the egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich. It was filling and tasted good. Twice my fiancé got the everything bagel with cream cheese and a strawberry and white chocolate scone. He enjoyed the bagel. The scone was ok, but a little too sweet than he would have liked. He got it though because he wanted to make sure he'd be full enough for the morning and he's not a breakfast sandwich person. Overall I enjoyed the breakfast we got from here. And the service was quick so we could go about our day. read more

Loved the accessibility to our condo in Banyan Breeze condos which was 2 blocks from the beach. Took our coffee and pastries to the beach for a nice relaxing morning visit. The decor of the cafe was very creative and connected us to the Waikiki vibe. Hailey, the Barista was very kind, helpful and enthusiastic and the food choices were expansive. Banyan Breeze is a quick grab n go breakfast shop located inside a Hilton hotel in Waikiki. The restaurant has limited indoor seating and a small menu. However, the staff was super nice and got our food out quickly. The bagels and croissants were a bit expensive and bland, but a good walkable and convenient pick up breakfast option while staying at a hotel in the area. read more

Tourist review. It's fine? I wouldn't call this a destination, but if you're nearby looking for a to go bite.. They have a few, limited smoothies, breakfast sandwiches that they reheat, along with pastries, coffees and other eats. I went with an overpriced protein smoothie and it was fine. It's a very small, dark shop in a hotel. So definitely a to-go only spot. Fine if you're in the hotel or nearby, pretty average for anything else. read more

Was looking to try a different coffee shop than the usual ones I go to in Waikiki. Found this place nearby and located in another hotel. I ordered the Haupia Latte ( hot) 2 shots of espresso mixed with Creamy coconut and sweetened condensed milk. It was delicious. Nice coconut notes in every sip. read more

This coffee shop was such a nice way to spend the morning!! Employees were super nice and friendly which made the experience that much more enjoyable. This was a hidden gem! I was looking for a small coffee shop to head to and was fortunate to find Banyan Breeze. It's in a hotel, but it seemed to be independently operated. The folks working there were super nice, and my mango smoothie and breakfast burrito were great! It was awesome to be in a smaller, less commercial coffee shop in such a touristy area and I'd happily go back next time! read more

Nice breakfast! Tucked within a resort, this little coffee shop has good breakfast food and coffee for those early risers. Stopped by in the morning before our tours and I love how this shop makes our hotel hallway smell like coffee everyday. It's quite dark inside and it's more like a quick pit stop than a working location, I'd say. The service was very friendly. The drinks were made quickly. We got the haupia latte. It really packed a punch! It was less sweet than I thought, which I enjoyed. If you told me this came from a swanky hipster coffee shop, I would've believed you. The matcha latte was a bit powdery, similar to the flavor of the package sold at Trader Joe's. I'd opt for their coffee-based drinks instead. read more

This is a small cafe located in Tower 1 of the Waikiki Banyan condominium. The cafe is small but large enough to maneuver (carefully) a stroller through if you're like me and have a baby in tow. Husband and I recently were short on time and opted to grab food and coffee from this little cafe. Husband ordered a breakfast sandwich with an iced mocha latte while I went with the chili and rice with an iced Thai latte. The coffee were both delicious. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich while I found the chili to be bland. (Perhaps, just an off day/batch?) I've since tried the iced white mocha, Buffalo chicken wrap, and peanut butter cheesecake - all of which were really tasty. The cheesecake is rich and flavorful and perfect for nibbling on and saving some for later. The staff here is always really friendly and patient while you figure out the perfect snack or coffee for your day. read more

This was a cozy little shop off the Waikīkī Banyon lobby. Standard little coffee shop with food options. Got a ham wrap which was good and a vanilla frappe which was very tasty! While visiting Waikiki, you see a LOT of Starbucks in hotels. The last thing we wanted was to visit a chain coffee shop in Hawaii. We were lucky enough to find, and be staying about a block away from Banyan Breeze Coffee. From the first visit (we went almost every day after) we were greeted every time with a smile, a "good morning" and a pleasant experience. The iced coffee and chai we selected were excellent, and all staff was great. I would highly recommend grabbing a coffee here anytime. read more

This place is awesome! If you're staying in the building, it's a great place to grab some early morning coffee. They also have snacks, a printer, and a good amount of tables to work at. The 3-star rating is not for the drinks I ordered; it's for the service I received! I ordered 2 lattes that tasted a bit bitter, so I requested extra milk. However, I couldn't believe their response: 'NO.' This is the first time such a thing has happened. Whenever I've ordered a latte and asked for extra milk, they've never declined before, and their negative attitude was a problem. Does someone who says 'NO' not feel any shame? I felt even angrier that I had tipped her when I ordered the drinks. She doesn't deserve it! read more

Food always delicious. I really like the wraps. Deserts wonderful. Lemon bars just perfectly sour and sweet enough. Coffee is delicious. My friend from Kona (owns a coffee label) says this is the place for authentic Kona coffee. I take my food and coffee out to the Banyan indoor/outdoor lobby with the big waterfall. I usually frequent this place for breakfast and early lunch - I live nearby and it's one of those consistent go-to places! read more

Established in 2008.

We felt the need for a coffee shop without the "touristy" feel in this Waikiki neighborhood and wanted a comfortable place for locals and tourists to come and get coffee, eat lunch, grab a newspaper or just hang out.

Meet the Business Owner: Bree S.

I moved to Hawaii in 1992 from the Seattle area. I've worked in the coffee/dessert industry since I was 16 and have always enjoyed it. My husband and I started out with a small cart in the downtown area and then had another cart at Straub hospital for years. We took some time away from the industry to pursue other businesses and to start a family. When our kids got older and I had more time, I realized that I really missed the coffee and the customers. So in 2008 the Banyan Breeze Coffee Co. was born. I really enjoy meeting and talking to new people (as well as our regulars) on a daily basis and hope that they find our little shop a place that they want to return to.

I looked forward to it every morning. I also tried the chia pudding, and wow... it was absolutely to die for. So fresh, flavorful, and the perfect breakfast. Before heading home, I grabbed a few bags of their 100% Kona coffee because I wasn't ready to give it up once my trip was over. The shop has a really nice, clean vibe and is connected to the Moana Surfrider, making it an easy stop whether you're staying there or just walking around Waikiki. It definitely gets busy, especially in the mornings, but the line moves fast and the staff is always friendly and efficient. This was easily one of my favorite coffee spots in Waikiki. Great coffee, delicious food, and consistently excellent service. I'll definitely be making this one of my first stops the next time I'm back in Hawaii!

I wanted the breakfast burrito but unfortunately they weren't able to leave the sausage out as the burritos were premade. I wish they would offer a non-meat breakfast burrito for those of us who don't eat it. Fortunately the spinach quiche was satisfying and quite cheesy ;) though you can't see the ube in the latte, i could definitely taste it. We came around 8:20-25am. As we were eating, we noticed the line was longer and more people were waiting for their orders. Service was friendly and employee was patient with my questions. Worth checking out if in the area!

Towards the end of our time, we were the only ones in the Cafe, so the handlers allowed us to stay a bit longer and talked to my niece about the cats. Honey Matcha Latte is my current favorite: just the right balance of matcha, milk and honey :) The vibes are so nice. You'll be greeted by the green green plants (which are actually for sale!), and then grab a drink down the hall. I also like how they have a "Sip & Chill Zone" where no ipads or computer work are allowed, so you can just relax and talk story. This is my favorite spot because I can just do some people watching by the window as I sip my matcha latte. It's a nice place to detach from the hustle even just for a while.

The mint is refreshing and so many health benefits with the blue and glow drink. Also...did you know that Everyday prides on all clean/organic products? They use natural sweeteners no refined sugar and get this....Malk milk IYKYK... this milk brand has no gum or fillers just either almonds or oat with water salt. Coffee is great here. All of the staff is on another level good looking and very helpful. Make this your work/study spot it's a beautiful place good music playing and lots of seating options. By the way Lava is open upstairs with contrast therapy cold plunge and sauna and hyperbaric chambers.

We ordered 3 drinks to go: 1) Strawberry Glow Smoothie- a very well made smoothie and tasted delicious. However for the price point I don't think I'll be buying again. 2) Small Matcha Latte- unfortunately my boyfriend wasn't able to finish his drink. It tasted mostly of milk with a splash of Matcha. 3) Hojicha - I always get this when it's available at any cafe. Their Hojicha was very well made and something I would go back for.
