Starting off with the good, the cashier was knowledgeable about their offerings and super sweet. Their menu had a lot of yummy sounding options! The ambiance is super cute and picture-worthy for sure. I'm giving it a 3-star because I ordered an oat milk matcha with half sugar and it ended up tasting very watery (my friends tried my drink also and agreed) -- it only got worse as the ice melted into the drink. I couldn't bring myself to finish it. Also, I wasn't asked what size I wanted so they just automatically charged me for a medium, which I didn't realize until after paying and walking away from the register. The price point is relatively okay, around $8 for a medium but not sure if it's worth it given the quality of my matcha.
I stumbled across this coffee stand when going to a poke spot around the corner and I needed a pick me up afterwards. The smell of coffee was enough to convince me to give it a try. My only complaint is that the roasted Mac nut latte was a syrup instead of a roasted Mac nut milk. But, I ordered an iced cinnamon latte and really enjoyed it. The coffee tasted really good, the drink was just the right sweetness, and the cup is super cool!
Very rich matcha flavor with a nice hint of vanilla bean. My drink was made super fast, in less than a minute. It was $8 for a cup of matcha. There's a small parking lot right in front of Ono Seafood. Definitely a good spot to get your matcha fix!
Better daze is a cute little coffee shop located on a small lot with limited parking out front. They have some adorable outdoor seating and the staff was very friendly during our visit. I ordered the coconut cloud cold brew (5/10) it wasn't really flavorful, I ended up adding some macadamia nut syrup and that helped a bit. The toasted mac nut latte was pretty good (7/10). The bagels were also delicious (9/10), I'd definitely recommend going with the roasted garlic herb cream cheese if you enjoy savory.

I tried a new coffee stop each day I was in Hawaii and this one by far was my favorite! I got the toasted Mac nut latte and it was made perfectly. Also such a cute and quaint little spot. 10/10 go try it

I've seen a lot of post on this nice little coffee kiosk so had to give it a shot . I really enjoyed their coffee plus very nice and helpful ladies working inside the kiosk . I asked one of them first time here and she ask what type of coffee do I like . I replied I like white chocolate mocha she said they can create a coffee very similar since they do not have white chocolate mocha. So I said that will be nice . She advised me that it will consist of Cacao mocha with vanilla syrup w/splash of milk . That is customer service explaining the type of coffee that I'll be having that was really awesome. Better Daze shares parking with Ono Seafood and Soccer Locker so you can imagine it can get very crowded. Support local and I'll be definitely back in the near future to try something else

It shares the same lot as Ono's seafood so if you go at the same time as their opening hours, it could be difficult to find parking in the lot or there is street parking as well. There is a lot next door but it is for the customers for their property only. We ordered the coconut cloud matcha and the mushroom elixir latte both with oat milk. The matcha flavor was lacking and their foam was a nice light coconut flavor. It was a bit on the sweeter side. I enjoyed the mushroom elixir latte it was good and their ingredients complimented the espresso to still have a strong coffee flavor. I would come back for their coffee espresso items. If you're looking for a strong matcha, this wouldn't be it.

Taste is not worth the price tag! I get supporting local but they charge prices on par which actual cafes that have seating...

Every time I visited, I'd get a pour over and was super happy with my drink. My husband is more picky with his coffee and even he said that this was some of the best coffee he's had. So if you're thinking about coming here, this is your sign! The store is moreso a stand if anything, but it is super cute and aesthetic. The service here has always been friendly and the barista went out of her way to make conversation with us (positive points too that she's also a California native like us). This spot shares the same parking lot with Ono so be prepared for a struggle finding parking and tight spots.
Cute coffee & matcha spot in Kapahulu! Went here with my brother and boyfriend on a whim, after brunch and on our way to Waikiki. I decided to order the coconut cloud matcha with oat milk and it was pretty good. They don't skimp on the matcha so you can really taste it. It was my brother's first time trying matcha latte so he ordered the iced vanilla bean matcha with whole milk and it did not disappoint! I'll probably try that next time as well :) Service was great. It was a Saturday so it's expected to be kinda busy, but we got our drinks pretty quickly. Parking is very limited but nonetheless I'd definitely come back again! read more

Cute shack next to Ono Poke. Very cute and aesthetically pleasing. The barista was super nice and helped us choose a drink! The matcha is pretty expensive for the quality. Coconut Cloud Matcha - my rating is 1/5 and my boyfriends rating is 3/5 - my opinion: this is vanilla matcha with coconut foam on top. The drink doesn't taste like coconut at all, the coconut foam flavor is very light and when you mix the drink it is non existent. Imo the drink just tastes like a sweet vanilla drink. Very cute little shack that sells amazing coffee - and I wish we have this in LA. We got the vanilla bean and brown sugar latte, coconut cloud cold brew, and a matcha latte. Everything was so good we wish we had more of our drinks cause we finished it so fast. I love how their coffee is strong but it's so smooth!! Wish I could have this everyday. Friendly staff, fast service, and they even have some seating next to their store. I love how cute this place is. read more
Continuing our coffee hunt, we trekked to Kapahulu to visit this cute cart located within a parking lot attached to a walk up apartment complex. Its a nice cool morning, so perfect for some coffee! Americano ($4.00) - nice temperature, not bitter Organic Pumpkin Spice Latte ($6.75) - cozy and autumny Locally made (Big Time Bagels) plain bagell with roasted garlic and herb cream cheese ($8.00) - seriously worth every cent! When we first arrived there was just one other customer, but as we sat in their little dining area and enjoyed our bagel, at least 20 people had ordered and departed with their drinks and baked items. Service is friendly and rather quick considering its a crew of two. read more
Cute coffee/matcha hut that's tucked away near Leonard's. Really friendly barista when my partner and I came in the morning. Great vibes from her that further elevated our visit, on top of the delicious drinks! We got the coconut cloud matcha and the coconut cloud coldbrew. The matcha was really balanced and the cold brew was not bitter at all, both paired well with the coconut cloud topping. Cozy sitting area and a couple of parking spots available too. read more
My amazing husband made it a point to research different coffee shops on Yelp so we could try a new one each day of our trip. Better Daze was our choice for our final morning. We made the walk over from our hotel and had a great walk, it's a bit out of the way, but totally worth going to. It's a little coffee cart that you might miss if you're not looking for it and it's next to a plaza with parking available. I ordered the Iced Rose Latte ($7.75) and my husband ordered the Cloud Chai ($8). The staff members warned my husband that they make their chai with a good amount of spice, and some customers aren't fans of it, but this made him even more excited. My rose latte was delicious and had decorative rose petals on top. The rose flavor wasn't overpowering and the coffee was great. My husband LOVED his Cloud Chai so much (I didn't even get a sip!) and he ended up buying a second drink right away so he could try more of their menu. His second drink was the Soul Chai with honey ($7.75) and he liked this one as well, but says the Cloud Chai is the one he'd order any time we get the chance to visit again. He even says it makes his top five chai that he's ever had. This is a small coffee cart/kiosk and there's only two people working but you can tell they put a lot of heart into their drinks. read more
These cute little coffee truck was a great stop post workout. The baristas were friendly and the drinks came out very quickly. In the morning the other shops around it are closed so there was parking available which was nice. We got an iced honey chai with almond milk. The chai was flavorful. It was a bit in the ginger side, which I enjoyed but something to be aware of. The honey cinnamon latte with almond milk was also delicious. Prices are reasonable. One of the best coffee shops on the island. A nice 15 min walk from central Waikiki for a great cup of latte every morning during my week-long stay was so worth it. Coffee tasted soo good! I'm a simple girl who got an iced latte with no sweetener but I can tell from the first sip it was gonna be great! The ladies behind the counter is super kind and friendly. Very unexpected but I actually enjoyed the matcha here! One of my girlfriends makes the long walk here every morning to get a Coconut Cloud Matcha Latte and I couldn't understand the hype. I know there's always a bunch of people in front of this little shack stand ordering coffee or teas. But my girlfriend used to frequent Ars or Daily Whisk and raved about their matcha, but I was pretty disappointed every time I went to either café. I poo-pood this place until recently when I went to Pai Cafe to compare their matcha to the Coconut Cloud Matcha here - wow..the matcha they use at Better Daze tastes significantly better. The coconut foam taste is a nice added layering flavor. I've had so much matcha recently, but I think this one stood out in a good way. Probably up there with the ones I had at Cooke St and Cha to Zen. Still on the hunt for the perfect matcha on island! read more
A little cafe spot hidden next to Ono Seafood and the bank on Kapahulu. Very little and tight parking. Gets pretty busy! We mainly came here for the drinks. Ordered: Rose matcha - lacking the rose aroma in the matcha, but drink itself pretty good. Been wanting to try this little coffee spot for quite some time. Located right next to Ono seafood there is minimal parking depending what time you come. Their menu is pretty extensive for a little coffee shack - lots of variety and good drinks to choose from. I like that they had a handful of matcha options! We got the Mushroom Elixir and Coconut Cloud matcha. I thought the mushroom elixir would've been more earthy but it actually tasted great considering how it also tasted strong. The coconut cloud was sweeter than I like but still good if you need a pick me up. We also got the banana ulu bread. I felt the texture was a little mushy and I probably wouldn't buy it again. It wasn't gross tasting just an interesting texture. read more

I loved the matcha here at this little coffee hut! I got their coconut cloud matcha and it was delicious i finished this way too quickly! The girls at this spot are very friendly and even offered me a sticker on the house as a congratulations for my engagement :) this is in a corner of a parking lot so have fun finding parking if it's busy otherwise great walking location! read more

I was so sure I reviewed Better Daze in Kapahulu before, but apparently not! This cute business is located in the same lot as Ono Seafood. They have an adorable set up with plants and seats by the business. All of the drinks I tried here are delicious! My current fave is the coconut cloud matcha, and I'm not even the biggest fan of coconut. Absolutely delicious and well made! The baristas are always so sweet and lovely. Only downside is it can get pricey, but totally worth the occasional treat! Check them out and support local! read more

Cute area. Little stand is tucked in the back of a small shopping plaza. Virtually no wait at 730am on a Sunday day. Matcha and coffee are good, not 10/10 tho. I would say stick to coffees over matcha read more
Cute coffee shop, but parking was a pain. I found a spot on the side street and walked up. Everyone was ordering the coconut cloud matcha but I just went with the vanilla matcha. Service was quick, even though there were about 7 people waiting! The matcha was good, reasonably priced, and the girls working were nice. read more
Better Daze is tucked away in a shack in the same parking lot as Ono's Seafood. I will say that this is one of the worst parking lots to get stuck in and it can get pretty packed knowing how famous Ono's is. I would say this is the ONLY downfall to this business. However, there is some street parking behind the lot as well as parking stall at the business plaza next door, but this does request payment if you aren't visiting a business within this plaza before or after your trip to Better Daze. There are so many great coffee and matcha shops within the Kaimuki and Kapahulu area, but the one thing that outshines this place from all the other is the Coconut Cloud Foam. This is basically a haupia whipped cold foam that adds +5 points to any drink it's on top of. I would love to try all their other drinks, but I always end up ordering either the coconut cloud matcha or the coconut cloud cold brew. Great service, staff is always friendly and super cute outdoor seating. It is kind of small, but it is a shack in a parking lot, so nothing too crazy. I recently had a friend from the Bay visit and she requested to grab some matcha. I ended up taking her here and after her first sip she said was "Kira, this is fire." What more do I need to add? read more

Such a cute kiosk!!! Right by know seafood on the corner. You can see them from the main road. The parking is very small and tight so go on a good time lol I got their local honey & cinnamon iced latte and it tasted like the cereal Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Super good. I like my coffee strong so I would add another shot if you wanna taste the coffee taste but just like that was alright too. Not too sweet, just right. The worker there was super sweet. She was friendly and patient. She made my drink super fast. They also have food there. I know I seen banana bread and I think acai bowls. They even have matcha and teas. I am def going back! read more
