The girls are super sweet and nice I feel like maybe my standards for matcha are just too high? As an Asian American. I like my matcha drinks to be strong flavor and delicious. Not enough matcha, not enough haupia. After the tsunami alert yesterday, life is too short for mid matcha. Sadly I would not get it again or recommend. But it's a super cute spot and nice girls, they still added more matcha and sweetner to my drink and it still wasn't enough. Been wanting to try this spot for quite some time, but it is far of a drive from the Westside. Finally got to try it this past weekend when I was close in the area with friends. You will see the stand as you drive down Kapahulu. Parking might be tight as it shares with the same area with Ono Seafood. But people should be going in and out, if you don't mind waiting. We were there on a Saturday and it wasn't too bad. There are a couple tables out front of the stand if you want to enjoy your drink for a bit. Love the greenery near the stand also. I hope maybe someday they can open a storefront (if that goes along with the plan). But I can see the vibe that they are going for. The drinks were worth the drive out. Definitely mix in the coconut cloud to taste the flavor in the Matcha. Not too sweet, which I like. You're able to modify the milk, for my fellow non-dairy drinkers hehe. The Vanilla Bean was pretty good mild in flavor and could've been a bit creamier for my taste, but still enjoyable. They moved fast and efficiently-- considering the small parking lot they're in. Great pit stop for a caffeine fix! I got the coconut cloud matcha latte with oat milk and I loved it. It's a tropical twist on a matcha latte, but still has a good amount of tea flavor. It was also the perfect about of sweetness, especially with the coconut cream. Better Daze is located in a small parking lot so parking could be hard if you come at peak time. On the hunt for the best matcha on island. My coworker brought me a vanilla matcha from here in a large cup and it was pretty good just super sweet. I went back to get my own so I could get it unsweetened. The cup was way smaller when I went (they must've shrunk portions) and my matcha had no flavor or notes. Because I got it unsweetened, this proves to me that it's only good because of the vanilla syrup and not the actual matcha, so I'll pass. Especially for $8 and a tiny cup. Love it came here after work for a matcha fix My friend and I both ordered the cloud match and it was delicious. It's definitely on the sweeter side which I'm a fan of so I give it a 9/10 my friend who prefers more less sweet drink gave it 7/10. It's a cute little outdoor shop in little plaza and by apartments. I was super excited to try this place as a lot of people told me about it. We came a little early this morning but we didn't know what we wanted, so we decided to take a look at the menu as it was displayed out, and we were aware they weren't opening for another five minutes as we looked at the hours beforehand. She seemed like it was a pain to be opening the cart and servicing once 7 AM hit, and I get it as I also worked at Starbucks for the longest time, but she didn't even greet us nicely or say thank you at all, and that's why they lost 2 stars. Though the drinks were really good, we all got a sip of each drink: Front to back: Honey cinnamon latte- 10/10 the best drink of the bunch! The flavors all worked and it tasted like a honey teddy graham! Vanilla bean & brown sugar latte- 8/10 good flavors and you can never go wrong with the classics! When getting regular milk, i'm always scared it'll taste too "milk-y" but the espresso shined through. Lavender matcha- 7/10, good if you like lavender flavor but it was a little heavy on the lavender! The matcha was super yummy and the color was the right shade of green. Overall, I'm glad the drinks were yummy, but the customer service makes me not want to come back. Maybe she was having a bad day, and I'm not asking for anything bubbly or anything over the top and you don't even have to smile, but even a simple "hello" would have sufficed. There were three other people that came to stand in line by the time the cart opened, and we all waited patiently til open. The Worker was super nice on Sunday, they have a small seating area with two tables and chairs. Street parking is pretty much the only feasible option.
