Matcha pour

No beanz about it... That I love matcha and yes you can find and so much more right here in the lot of YMCA right across from Ala Moana Center. Bikini N Beanz is this adorable pink trailer that you can't miss and you can find them Wednesday to Monday at 7am to 2pm and I chose to start my day with a quick pull into the driveway. While they do have an impressive selection of matcha you can also find various latte including Blueberry Muffin, Dubai Chocolate and even Banana Bread which I noticed later as it's a homemade syrup but went with "Matcha Pineapple Juice" as I've tried Lilikoi but not pineapple juice and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you it's a beautiful pour and definitely a generous stunning green matcha which was very nice and fresh not sure about the pineapple juice for me personally but really enjoyed the freshness. The staff is very nice and friendly and love the whole vibe with surfboard menu and with some shared seating available it's a nice spot to start your day just down the road from the beach. Thank you!

Cassie was one of the sweetest girls ever! My friends and I came straight from the airport to try the Biscoff cookie latte and it was a solid 10 out of 10. My two friends don't even drink coffee and even they really liked it! The truck itself was so cute and so pink and was perfect to take cute photos Cassie also makes her own jewelry, which is really unique! Overall I loved the vibe and the coffee, I definitely recommend going!

My husband and I went to bikini n beanz multiple times while in Honolulu. There were some pastry items. We did not try any of the food though. The barista's were very knowledgeable and friendly. The vibe of the truck was so fun. I also bought some handmade jewelry from them. They had a bathing suit for purchase as well, I wasn't in need of one. It's mobile but in a stationary spot, that's close to the convention center and Waikiki Beach. Out of all the coffee places we went to while in the area, this was definitely our top choice.

Cute little truck, friendly staff, great menu selection with great prices. Yummy lattes. Definitely make sure to check out Bikini N Beanz!

Nothing comes easy in this world; especially starting and maintaining a small business in the state of Hawaii. I am always on the lookout for a new local small business opening up...and Bikini N Beanz showed up on my IG feed the other day. Their grand opening was on Sunday, the 18th of May. Located in the parking circle for the YMCA on Atkinson Drive ( across from Ala Moana Center ) which has become a new food truck/trailer spot. The owner Cassie is friendly and her trailer is Barbie pink. I made the joke that she could have called her establishment Barbie N Beanz; she proceeded to tell me there was at least a half-dozen similar quips previous to mine...the joke's on me. She also works with/for Zuco Swim - a bikini clothing line. Hence she's got 2 bikinis with 1 bean. If you utilize a gimmick for your business: must deliver on the product/service. I requested an iced latte with vanillla syrup and it was excellent. Frothing wand was wonky - if I recall correctly - but I hope to try a hot espresso-based beverage in the future. Hours are 7a till 2p...not sure about the days of operation. Parking? AMC is across the street. There is a dearth of coffee options in the Ala Moana area if you care to avoid the corporate chains, so this is a welcomed new business.

Perfect combo! Leonards and Bikini n Beanz latte!

Cassie was super friendly and accommodating! Coffee is 10/10. Got the Banana Bread latte! A must try Love how everything is cute and pink and it's woman owned!

I like my lattes to taste sweet and more flavor forward than coffee forward so this was perfect! I loved their house made raspberry! I love all the different flavor choices! I wish I could try them all but I'm leaving Hawaii today :(

This place was worth the try, I love to support small businesses. Worker Cassie was super friendly Go try it.

Great tasting coffee , Cassie was friendly, I will definitely return when I'm back in town!

Blueberry lavender matcha

Come in almost every single day for a Coffee, matcha, or redbull. It's small business but has more variety and flavors than any other coffee shop I've been to, you could seriously try a different drink every single day. Very reasonably priced and I also love that they do punch cards! Super sweet girls working, really good service. Come support this small business, they deserve all the love

Blue (I hope I spelled that correctly), was awesome! Such a sweet girl! She recommended the strawberry latte and made it less sweet as I like my coffee a little bitter, and it was perfect. Great coffee tastes just like how I make it at home

Homemade shell earrings made by the owner!

This place is a hidden gem! It's the sweetest little coffee truck that's painted the cutest pink. The owner served us yummy coffee and was so kind. She has multiple homemade syrups, which I always appreciate. I got the iced brown sugar latte and it was perfectly made. The owner also makes her own jewelry with shells from the island, so I couldn't pass up buying a pair to remember my trip to Oahu!

banana bread latte

had the banana bread latte and it was amazing !!! service was great they were quick and helped us with recommendations! def recommend this place for some delicious coffee

No parking in the area, closest is at Ala Moana

The owner/operator was a barista at my regular Sunday morning coffee spot. I heard that she was opening her own place so decided to stop by on her grand opening. She recognized me and remembered what I normally order. She has a very extensive menu. I got a Chai Latte instead of my normal decaff. The only drawback is parking, there is none. Closest is at the mall. Gotta admire a young person with the guts to open a business in Hawai'i.

With the recent flood happening at the end of March, and our trip being in early April, going to North Shore wasn't advised. While we have some great Hawaiian garlic shrimp spots in Arizona, we had to at least try to get some garlic shrimp while on Oahu. We gave this place a try just because we were already in the building. It wasn't a choice we made prior because honestly, I would have suggested trying a more well-known spot like two miles away, haha! We shared a $14 Shrimp with Original Garlic sauce on it and made it a combo with rice, a scoop of potato mac salad, and regular salad, $14 + $6. Sam's Kitchen was okay. I would have loved to have the shell-on but this place does not offer shell-on shrimp. Still, they make a decent garlic shrimp.

It was ~$30 and easily shareable with 2-3 people. Everything tasted great and I loved the smokey flavor and bbq sauce. Beef brisket and short rib were kinda tough and chewy. It came with three sides so I got cole slaw, potato salad, and Mac and cheese. Cole slaw and Mac and cheese were solid; Potato salad was just alright. They also gave one warm bun too. The reason I gave 3 stars was because service was extremely slow. It seemed like they were short staff and had one person at the cash register AND getting the food. He would take a few orders, and then grab the food. When I arrived, he was grabbing food for multiple folks so then I stood there waiting like 15 just to place my order. Then when he restarted and took my order, he took like 5 more orders before grabbing the food so then I waited even longer for another 15 min. That's 30 min of waiting! Also he wasn't serving food in the order that orders were received so it felt actually felt even longer. There needs to be a better system! Surprisingly he did a employee discount on my order. Not sure if it's because it was close to closing time. Btw they charge extra if you order to-go because of the supplies for packaging. I think food is alright but wouldn't return and wait that long for bbq.

It was love at first bite for me with musubi and onigiri, so when I saw a spot dedicated to this deliciousness you better believe I made a point to go there! I ran even faster when StaciLei, Yelp Hawaii's amazing Community Manager, told me it's a must and gave me her list of greatest hits and must not miss items as a guide! Now I've had a lot of these in my life, and I must say, Iyasume are easily the best. See musubi and onigiri have humble origins as a quickly made homespun snack or on the go lunch, and when you spot them in the convenience environment they're often a giant ball of rice with a tinge of protein or seasoning for flavor. At Iyasume, these are culinary adventures, stacked with ingredients, all in handheld form, and the variety they offer is IMPRESSIVE! Of course musubi starts with the classic, SPAM. I had to order the kimchi + spam, shiso + spam, and unagi + tamago + spam, all of which were awesome (even the next day!). Onigiri here are actually layered with ingredients, so you get them in every bite, unlike the convenience store versions! They have a HUGE menu, and I went with spicy mentaiko and salmon, spicy mentaiko and ikura, ikura and salmon, and tuna mayo curry, all of which were great. I LOVE that they make these to order. You can see the line in the back hard at work, and they're very fast. You're sure to encounter a line when you arrive, but don't be scared, it moves quickly. I only had to wait about 5 minutes for mine to come up! Well worth it. Reasonably priced. Very filling. A taste of Hawaii and Japan in one place that'll have everyone smiling!

However, after having to abandon our original dinner plans, we were no less intrigued after randomly stumbling across this place. While they may not have been our first choice for dinner, coming here was far more appealing than eating fast food or at the nearby IHOP! Although seeing so many folks at this mini food truck park may have been what caught our attention, it was the boxes of fried chicken on nearly every table that swayed us to try Waikiki Chicken in Paradise in particular. After skimming the menu, it wasn't hard to see why they were such a popular choice - everything on it sounded great. Granted, that's not overly difficult when there are only eight items to choose from, but tough to argue with the likes of fried chicken loco moco, fried chicken curry rice, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken & croffle, and fish & chips! Since we saw how big the portion were and didn't want anything too heavy (read: sadly, no loco moco or Japanese curry), we opted to split a FRIED CHICKEN RICE PLATE ($16.95) which came with a Fried Chicken Cutlet over White Rice with Mac Salad & Green Salad. Funny enough, despite already having a sense of how much food they give, I was still surprised by the generous portion size. As for how it all tasted, this was great. The breading on the chicken reminded me of Popeye's (though, without the spice), the batter was crispy, and the chicken itself was rather moist. As for the sides, the mac salad was pretty good, but the salad was a little heavy on dressing. If there was one thing I could change about our order, I think I'd want to see how it would taste with a sauce or glaze. At the very least, I'd definitely go with a different dipping sauce, like their Pineapple Ginger, Lilikoi Mayo, or Guava BBQ, as the Honey Mustard we went with tasted a bit generic. Of course, we could've solved both problems if we had gone with the Fried Chicken Loco Moco or Fried Chicken Curry Rice instead! I guess I'll just have to wait until the next time I'm in Waikiki!
