I actually came to Fishcake for a different Matcha popup that was supposed to be there, but instead stumbled upon Kynd Tea. Let me tell you, this Matcha place is EXCEPTIONAL. I got the strawberry matcha and the Guava Paradise. Let met tell you, they were both SOOO GOOD. First off, you can tell the owner really takes his time to create the most perfect matcha. It's both creamy and earthy at the same time and the strawberry puree is just the right amount of sweetness (none of that artificial strawberry puree here!) The guava paradise though was definitely the show stopper. Dairy Free yogurt topping with oolong? SAY LESS. It was so floral and aromatic that when you brought the cup to your lips you could literally smell the floral flavors. It was absolutely divine. Just the right amount of creaminess, with the fruity flavors from the guava and the finish with the tea. Absolute perfection. 11/10 would recommend this tea place to absolutely anyone! I got to try Kynd Tea at the Hawai'i Foodie Con and enjoyed my drink very much. I ordered the Earl Grey matcha with sea salt cream topping. The topping is blue! That was fun. It's not overpoweringly salty. I found the balance of the match and Earl Grey to be good. My partner got a cold brew with simple syrup and the sea salt cream, and enjoyed it. I got to try some and found that the cold brew was a good level of sweetness without being cloying. I thought both our drinks were very nicely presented and reasonably priced at $16.75 for the two drinks. Service was friendly and prompt. I would certainly order from Kynd Tea again. read more

My Yelp buddy Irene and I braved the stormy weather and heavy downpours to sample pop up vendors Kynd Tea and Bintana. Both are excellent food and drinks establishments! I ordered my new found favorite of strawberry and matcha tea. It's one of Kynd Tea's most ordered matcha drinks. I asked for half sweet. Mike was the mixologist extraordinaire! The summer heat outside isn't too bad at 3:30pm... especially when Miki is working! Yes, Miki is a fun, knowledgeable staff who was training Sarah on her first day of work! Wow! What an ambitious, bright, and efficient worker Miki is! Anyway, I ordered a Lilijoy Refresher AND a Strawberry Matcha Latte. They were both pretty and high-quality! I've seen her do some markets too. Her drinks are organic and ranges between 8-10$ each, all very beautiful and social media worthy. Though the hunt of finding them popping up around town is much harder than it seems for me personally but luckily they were at Taste of Aloha Night Market the newest market in town with the a vibrant vibe so you know that I had to hele on down to Waterfront Plaza is where it's at happening every second Saturday of the month and wow the line not surprisingly was quite long but gosh the team worked in tandem to make each drink which is meticulously crafted. On this night there were five to choose from and I got a couple of them the "Guava Princess" and "Golden Hour" both couldn't be any more different though I did love them both. I got the Guava for my bestie but did take a sip of it and WOW the taste of the globe it had fro the guava, yuzu with Oolong tea base topped with whipped yogurt cream was a bougie sip. Golden Hour was more on the sweet side for me personally though they did make sure to inform you to stir it really well as the marmalade is on the bottom but the yuzu-ginger and kahuku honey wasn't as prominent as I think the marmalade over powered it all though I love the Mamaki tea base was very light and refreshing though you have to take a moment to enjoy the "Kynd-ness as all their drinks are garnished so beautifully...you can also find them at Fishcake and follow them on Instagram for their latest location for their delicious and refreshing teas. One of the most refreshing drinks I've ever had! I wish they had their own store front but I'm glad they do a decent amount of pop-ups so that you can easily get your fix. This is another cute mobile tea spot that my mobile coffee truck have been promoting (yay team), and I finally got to try them out a few months ago at Wai Kai. The drink menu is very unique, and beautiful, thus very instagrammable and of course yelpable. So I understand why they didnt put a lid on my order when it was ready. Because duh, I needed that portrait style photo. And they came out great. Almost as great as the drinks tasted. I am clumsy... well not really, but I am a mom of 4, so I had a lot to carry as I put the lids on so I did spill a little which annoyed me a little. BUT thats more on me and my kids. Out of the countless drink spots at Waikai today, what drew me to this booth was the clean and organized aesthetic, the calm green hues and yes, the kynd faces! But wait, their tea was even better yay. I tried the guava princess and I loved it. Sometimes you order things and you just feel meh. But I really liked this. It wasn't too sweet and the flavors were really balanced along with the oolong tea. I also thought the yogurt cream top complemented the guava, yuzu syrup. The pretty presentation just makes it too! So I told my son he should try their tea as well. Before leaving, he bought the strawberry matcha shortcake. Again, customer service was friendly and patient with my son. The drinks were absolutely delicious. Its a place my partner wanted to try so I wanted to surprise her with this because they open on weird ass hours. This was a Sunday, and I was a little early like 1055 waiting for the place to open at 11am like yelp suggested.
