One of the food trucks. Very good food here.

Fun spot. Not a lot of food choices but maybe because it's new. The music was great and had places to sit and eat. Parking is free which is a huge plus.

A night in Kaka'ako is always a fun place to explore, and just be entertained! The Honolulu Night Market at Our Kaka'ako is indeed a fabulous adventure into the biggest street/block party filled to the brim with all things local...food, retail and culture. I've been to so many and each and every one is very unique where you can find either fashion runway stage, live street art, or even a dance night in the barn. I just love the vibe SALT and surrounding Our Kaka'ako brings with the vibrant art we're so blessed to have and this particular night (November 19th) there was actually much more shopping just perfect for the holidays and the party went further down to Ya-ya's. Tonight I was fortunate to have gone after work so I kept it short but found some awesome treats. Some straw toppers to add to my holiday gift giving and some cheesecake cups (OG, Strawberry and Cookie Butter) of course I got one of each to share...ate the Strawberry which of course omg was yummy!! Not too sweet as the Strawberries was just perfect as I tried to get an even scoop of it all in every bite. Walked further down and honestly wasn't in the mood to wait too long for anything found something that would just exactly work for me. Ya-Ya's Chophouse & Seafood and tonight they had two items - Steak Kebabs - Fat Fried Rice with TAB (aka Thick Ass Bacon lol!) I seriously wanted the fried rice but thought that the Steak Kebabs was more sensible for me personally and it came with two kebabs each fully loaded with steak, mushrooms, peppers and onions with a huge scoop of rice! So many options I really was considering including Henna from Henna Happens, Birria Tacos from Dolce Vita, Corn from Corn Onoz Hawaii but though there's always a next time yes!?! I remember pre-pandemic Yelp had a booth here and hoping as things return to normalcy that we'll see it back again one day (hint hint!) Absolutely love this Honolulu Night Market as it offers so many cultural coolness that you can't find anywhere else! Thank you!

The Honolulu Night Market was very crowded. The lines were long and slow-moving, at least at the food truck that we ate from. While the chicken katsu and noodles were good, I did not find the approximately forty-five minute wait to be worth it. This was a fun experience, overall, as there are so many vendors here. We took a ride share to and from the Honolulu Night Market, so I am unsure how the parking situation is here.

Amazing variety of options! This kind of crowd is something I've avoided since the pandemic, but that day I was lost in excitement for eating. Spent 2 hours exploring, shopping, eating, drinking and what not! There are multiple locations where there's live music, one being just beside the waikiki beach that takes place every Wednesday and Saturday. They have a small stage where the localites display some simple hula skills, which is fun to watch. Came across one more band that truly impressed me. It's a family of 3 that has formed a band named FREE LITTLE BIRDS. They are simply great. They are on guitars, ukulele, and one's a singer cum rapper, and the girl's voice is very catchy, very melodious. Very talented young group that can go really far with some more encouragement!

Block party in Honolulu... For years, I've had a mental block about going to the Honolulu Night Market. Why? Traffic, crowds, lack of parking, long lines for expensive food were some of the reasons why I stayed away. What made me go this time? 1) FREE tote bag from Hawaiian Airlines with a floral print from designer, Jana Lam. It was given to the first 1000 customers. We got there at 4:30pm and were first in line for the opening at 6pm. 2) My friends - they made time fly by quickly. Standing in line for 1.5 hours was fun with them! Thank you! You made my dream come true! And... it was Jessica's first visit to the Honolulu Night Market five years ago! Happy anniversary! Note: we parked on the street for free. Signs are tricky, so we asked a police officer if we could park on Auahi Street. He said only green, red, and blue vehicles may park there. My car is silver. Awww...shucks! Nah... he was joking! He said he'd watch my car for me... LOL! Anyway, Honolulu Night Market is a great place to go for food that you normally can't get. There are unusual eats and businesses that are starting out. Just chance 'em! They are worth the price because admission is free! If you go at 6pm, it probably isn't as crowded as later on! P.S. There are other vendors selling items besides food - didn't get to see them all. Also, there was a stage for possibly live music. I had to leave early to get to work... (super sad face)...

Market is finally back open! Brought the family Sat night (6/25/22) and it was awesome. The website said 6-10pm, but we got there a little after 5 and most vendors were already set up. I recommend getting there early if you have kids, it gets pretty packed by 7:00. Tons of awesome food choices, clothing, jewelry, live music, etc. The market was much larger than I was expecting. Definitely worth visiting!

Geez, what has taken me so long to write a review for the Honolulu Night Market which has been taking place on a monthly basis since August 2012?! The HNM has expanded tremendously since its beginnings but has basically set up in the same area on Auahi Street yet had temporarily moved to Cooke Street and to Ala Moana Boulevard until construction of SALT At Our Kaka'ako completed. The HNM is a vibrant monthly gathering AKA Block Party of local street performers, retailers, various ethnic cuisines (food trucks), music and artists. The block party also includes events or retailers at SALT. The public is invited to join the festivities and you can check their schedule at the website (www.saltatkakaako.com) or on other social media sites. The party starts at 5:00PM and usually lasts until 10:00PM. Parking is available at SALT (first hour is free), metered street parking or at several designated private parking lots within the many new condominium units that have opened in the Kaka'ako neighborhood. Come on down to the Kaka'ako neighborhood and party on! We hope to see you next month.

It was a beautiful night to be out and about in Kaka'ako! The event itself was great! Lots of food vendors and a few others. Parking was not ideal, we had to park on South Street at Restaurant Row. For some reason the Salt Parking Lot was unavailable until later in the evening. The food we had was really tasty! Prices were a bit high, but if you add in the atmosphere, I guess it was worth it. Best part...for the vendors with the Hawaiian Airlines Master Card banner, they were offering $1 off your food if you used your card to pay. We are looking forward to the next Night Market!

Ask the Community - Honolulu Night Market

Who do I contact to perform music at the Honolulu Night Market?

Does anyone know when they're open and is it nightly?

It is an annual event. Check on ourkakaako.com for dates.

I'll be visiting Honolulu from August 27 through September 13. Is the Honolulu Night Market in the Salt area open during those Saturday nights?

Sorry, I haven't seen the Night Market being advertised during your visit. The current event that is being celebrated is National Dog Month which ends August 31. However, the upcoming event on September 17 is Oktoberfest after your visit.

Is this still going on every week?

No. It's basically quarterly but follow them on Facebook, IG or check their website for the exact dates. FB seems the most dependable

Kindred's Cookout = Soul Food Done Right…read more If comfort food had a love language, this would be it. Kindred's Cookout is the kind of place that reminds you why Southern food will always have a chokehold on us. I went straight for the Southern fried chicken & shrimp with mac and cheese, and let me tell you--every bite hit. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, juicy on the inside with that crispy, golden crust that actually crunches. The shrimp? Fried just right, not greasy, with bold flavor that stands on its own without needing sauce. But the real star of the show--for me--is the Cajun fried catfish. This is my personal favorite and for good reason. The seasoning is on point: spicy, smoky, and flavorful without overpowering the fish. Crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside--exactly how catfish should be done. You can taste the care and experience in every bite. And the mac and cheese deserves its own moment. Creamy, cheesy, rich, and comforting--no shortcuts here. It's the kind of mac that makes you pause mid-bite and nod in approval. Kindred's Cookout isn't just serving food, it's serving heart, heritage, and serious flavor. If you're craving real Southern comfort with bold Cajun flair, this spot is a must. The options they have, the ingredients they use, the cooking, and the flavor... it's made exactly like how I remember in the Philippines. It kind of does bring me back to my days growing up in the Philippines. We've been ordering platters from 2NO 2NO (pronounced "tono tono" like "pono") for a few years now. I've yet to receive anything that I didn't like. Their platters of food, like pancit and lumpiang shanghai, and their BBQ sticks and Filipino street food offerings are really good. I can eat a whole pan of kwek-kwek all by myself. Not in one sitting though, but spread throughout a few meals and late night "snacks". You can even choose fried rice or macaroni and cheese instead, even though it was dark and I couldn't see my food I really enjoyed the flavor of my garlic and rice, they had chunks of pineapple at bottom which made it a little difficult to eat with a plastic fork, but I appreciate they didn't waste it. My boyfriend ordered what we thought was an elote or Mexican corn from "The Corn Project" it was very good but the corn was so small, was a bit expensive for $6. We finally decided to get drinks at "ICE HNL" we saw they had bloodbath drinks on Instagram but were out so we ordered the smokin drink love potion instead, which was good made a instagrammable photo. I also checked "Eat The Streets" page and saw Postmate and Aokis shaved ice was giving away free shaved ice! I thought it was a awesome way to give everyone some nice free treats, make sure you tip! As we were leaving I of course saw a table of donuts laid out! Modo donuts was selling mochi donuts for $2 each and I had exactly $4 left so I asked for cookies and cream and my boyfriend got the matcha flavor. I've never had mochi donuts in my life and I'm so upset I didn't buy more! It was so chewy and delicious my boyfriend tried to steal mine and I had to swat him away! Most business accept card but they have an ATM in the park Incase.
