    Vanilla ice cream cone $3.75
    Lauren D.

This review is only for their snack bars incredible ice cream. I've been coming to this snack bar since I was a little girl for their ice cream cones. It's my favorite vanilla ice cream. It's kind of icy, yet creamy at the same time. I love the flavor so much. It's gone up in price over the years but it's still cheap for ice cream in Waikiki at $3.75.

Still a great place to go for lower-priced good food. No tax too. Located inside Hale Koa property. This place is available to public. We always eat breakfast here. Breakfast bowl has eggs, hash browns and choice of meat (bacon, sausage or Portuguese sausage). Starbucks drip coffee available. They have fruit, and breakfast sandwiches too. Lots of kid friendly food they will eat. Service is super friendly. Plenty of seating. You can even sit at Barefoot Bar and view the ocean.

Happy's is a really affordable place to grab a quick bite to eat if you're staying at Hale Koa. My family frequented Happy's for their breakfast bowls and fresh fruit during our stay. The serving sizes are decent and prices are fairly low compared to prices you'll see in the area. They are open really early too which is great if you're a little jet lagged. This isn't really a restaurant more of a convenience store with outdoor seating. Depending on the time of day there might be a short line but don't worry it will go by quick.

Best place for fast snacks, ice cream and dinner if you don't want to walk 10-15 minutes to McDonald's, Subway or anywhere else. Breakfast, lunch and dinner food right down the stairs.

Was passing thru this place and it was getting crowded. The food here is ok but I can tell you a great deal if you are on a serious budget!

We got a breakfast bowl and it was so much food for under $9. It's so nice to have something reasonable in the area in case you need a bit while on vacation. They had lots of coffee and fruit to supplement your meals. It's a serve yourself kind of place so don't expect there to be waiters or waitresses. There are a lot of birds and seating is all outside and there isn't a ton of it.

Great place to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack. Perfect service! Eat outdoors and enjoy the fireworks on a Friday night.

Breakfast bowl was too salty and greasy for my taste. I rarely throw food away, but this time I did.

I love being able to grab my own banchan and sauces. Our server, "Kai", was very attentive and helpful to my family and I. He constantly picked up our plates and trash and always checked on our table. :) The butcher cuts and kitchen food selections were quite fresh and well kept! Most of the time, the shrimps at most restaurants are spoiled without them knowing, but these shrimps were great! Great place for a group dining or with friends and family that doesn't mind the "pub" vibe and lively atmosphere. Inside is a bit warm because of all the grills so I'd dress light. The restaurant playlist had so many throwback songs so we loved that too hahaha Will bring back more friends next time!

I've come here as a date night with my husband, family dinner, and even with my newborn. This place has never let me down. I love that it's AYCE and the service is top notch. It looks small and cramped from the outside, but I had enough room in the inside for our party of 10 and my stroller! I was also able to rock my baby to sleep while standing and eating. And yes, he did fall asleep in the restaurant and stayed mostly asleep. Something that's very interesting is the corn and Mac and cheese side - you don't see that anywhere else. Of course, they do have the classic banchans, but those really influence my decision when I think of where I wanna go to eat. Overall, just figure out how to park and the rest of your night is gonna be great food and you just gotta bring the good company!

That detail set the mood right away. Inside, it is definitely larger and roomier than many places we've eaten at in Japan, but it still had that warm, simple, Japanese restaurant feel. We sat at a two-person table and still had plenty of room for all of our food, which is always appreciated because nobody wants to play plate Tetris during dinner. We ordered the Wagyu and the chicken tonkatsu, and both were so good. The Wagyu was especially fun because we got to grill it ourselves at the table, making the meal feel more like an experience than just dinner. The chicken tonkatsu was crispy, juicy, and exactly what we were hoping for. I also loved that they offer refills on the cabbage and vegetables, just like in Japan. It's one of those small touches that makes the whole meal feel more authentic. The highest praise came from my preteen, who said it was the best tonkatsu he's had outside of Japan. Honestly, that is a serious review from a kid who knows his tonkatsu. Great food, fun experience, nice ambiance, and a little Japan-in-Honolulu moment. We'll definitely be back.

Some of the offerings are: From the bakery: scones, muffins, bread puddings, cookies, cupcakes, bread, pies, and mochi desserts! The selections vary day to day. I highly recommend the banana-chocolate chip muffins, the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and the scones. If there's fried poi mochi you better jump on that! From the kitchen: the breakfast specials are always on point. Buttermilk pancakes and breakfast crostinis are really quite delightful. I generally go with the fried rice loco moco because it's so filling. Bacon seems to be very popular in this place so make sure you leave room for that! Special events are great! The Table has themed gatherings that are invite-only and the food is plentiful (as well as the laughs). So far there's been a taco bar, a breakfast bar, and one day we had freshly made Rosemary lemon garlic focaccia bread with a spread of the Italian meats and cheeses. The only thing missing was the vino! I understand that The Table is working on their liquor license and they don't recommend BYOB yet as there are some restrictions based on the location. I love this place. Highly recommended!

Not only that, but I have to bring my significant other along to share in the deliciousness! I don't know how I'm just now talking about Marugame Udon. When I first came here, my friend and I decided to give it a try because we saw the longest line and wanted to see what all the hype was about. There was a couple in front of us who said they come here every time they visit Hawaiʻi and that it's a must-do stop on every trip. When you walk in, it's a small place. You can watch a team member washing the noodles and portioning them into bowls right in front of you. Then you choose your bowl size, small or large, and select your broth. After that, you get to choose from a variety of fried items and other à la carte options displayed on a warmer. Seating can be limited because of how busy this place gets. You line up to get your food, pay for it, grab your condiments, utensils, and a cup of water, then find a seat and enjoy. I've already been here twice, and after writing about my experience, I need to make a third visit happen very soon! There are not enough days off in a week to enjoy all of the amazing food on this island, but I'm going to do my best to experience as many places as I can. This place is totally worth the 45-minute commute from Wahiawa.
