Came out to Earl for my friend's birthday and it was a nice experience! The atmosphere is nice and service was pretty great too. We were seated in the partially outdoor area, which was really nice, but it started to drizzle and they moved us indoors before we even had to ask. We got plates to share and everything was pretty good! I especially liked the crispy rice with spicy ahi and the tortellini with steak dishes. The fries were also addictive. The bibimbap was okay but I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall it was a really pleasant experience and I would come back again!

Hubby wanted Earl's for Father's Day. Got there a few minutes early & was ushered upstairs after being asked if we were celebrating anything. I responded Father's Day. Greeted immediately then waited w/several other couples/families to be seated. Hostesses were milling around & waiting. Not sure if tables were being prepped or? We were seated by our reservation time. Table was closer to the street, while there were ceiling fans because the windows were open & it was a humid day it wasn't as comfortable as our previous visit when we were seated farther in behind the bar, near the restrooms area, which has A/C. However, it's Waikīkī so many restaurants have open air which works well for the tourists who come (and we are happy they do), just not us locals. Father's Day card on the table - nice! Server came promptly, asked us about drinks, returned with some of them (one keg was being changed out so there was an understandable delay). Asked if we wanted to order any appetizers but we weren't ready since two in our party were delayed. When all were there, more drinks were ordered. Overall, not as good s as last visit. Peach mojito didn't have much peach flavor. Earl's old fashioned was not as tasty as expected. Basil and Hayden on ice and the old fashioned came w/big ice (good). Pale ale we waited for - a disappointment, evident there was a keg change - it was very cloudy! Person who ordered it commented that they could have tossed out the first glass to get rid of some of the cloudiness, but didn't complain since he used to work in food service & had empathy. Overall, drinks were good. Crispy rice sushi w/spicy ahi - very good. Korean beef bibimbap w/crispy rice, pretty spicy, good. Truffle tortellini w/shrimp - tasty, but could have used more sauce. Fish tacos (2) - good, breaded mahi, big. Tomahawk pork chop - very large, good sauce. Earl's deluxe burger - good but beef patty seemed a little smaller than before. Sticky Toffee Choc pudding- very good but pudding was dry lava cake, almond Florentine crisp very good, vanilla bean ice cream - ok

Okay, the hype is real. The food was sooo good like what people were saying. I recommend doing a reservation or you'll be waiting. We got seated right away & was served quickly. Our waiter was very kind and because we were celebrating our anniversary, there was a cute personalized anniversary card. Thank you! We ordered the truffle fries, steak + sushi (ahi w/ crispy rice), aburi sushi, and barria tacos and just did pupu style. Everything was 10/10. The truffle fries & steak + sushi combo was my fave. The dessert was also great!! We got the cheesecake brûlée. The food came at a reasonable time. Their happy hour menu looks good too so I will definitely come back to try it out. Parking may be a issue but we parked at international market place & walked there. However, they do not validate so you have to purchase something $25+ at IMP.

Lychee martini ($18; not on happy hour special but worth it!!!) and the seschwan dumplings on happy hour special - yum!

Another 5 star experience at Earls -- got here at 4:57 just in time to order on the happy hour menu, which means $20 off of a dozen oysters and $5 off the delicious shrimp and pork dumplings. And the best lychee martini in town!

    Perfecto!

Earls Kitchen and Bar is a chain with many locations throughout the US. Earls reminds me of Doc Bs here in Austin regarding elevated service, menu options, and cocktails. We stopped by for an early dinner and again for their happy hour. The HH is awesome with some great Apps and drink deals. Their sticky ribs are an easy 5-star experience. They were moist, fall-off-the-bone tender, with a bit of heat. Our martinis were perfect, and during HH ( our second visit), our margaritas were excellent. Service at the bar was on point, and everyone provided great guidance regarding their specials. They recommend reservations, but we had no issues finding seats at the bar, and there were a few available tables. Sports fan? Big screen TVs are positioned around the bar. Because of the time difference, I got to see most of the basketball and hockey playoff games!

While in Oahu, we passed by here all the time and on our last day here we were trying to figure out where to go for dinner. My partner suggested this place so we looked at their menu first and reviews to see if it was something of interest. After making the decision, he made a reservation for us at 6pm. We got there before 545pm to check in with the host and was told that we would have to wait since "its still pretty crowded upstairs" and so we just waited standing next to ABC store. But then we saw a lot of people just going up and not so much people coming down from the restaurant. At 6pm, we decided to approach the front host again and this time was tols that we can go up now. Upon going up, we just waited a few minutes before someone approached us to bring us to our table. We were seated closer to the stairs which at first I wasnt too happy about because my partner and I cant sit next to each other. We are used to ALWAYS sitting next to each other and this time we sat across from each other. Not a big deal since there was breeze where we were at. Sometime during the night, I had to use thr restroom and walking going there, you can tell the difference. It was warm as you approach the inner side of the restaurant. Anyway our server came to us to give us the menu. A few minutes later, we ordered the chili crispy tofu. It was pretty good actually. The sauce did complement the tofu. We took our time eating it. Once we were done, we ordered our main entrees. I got the steak with sushi. For the sushi, I got the spicy California roll. It wasnt spicy at all. The steak was cooked and marinade to perfection. My partner got the steak with truffle tortellini. I got to try his food and it was good too. Now our issue is with our server. She wasnt rude but she wasnt nice either. She had a little bit of an attitude. We will definitely be back if we are in Hawaii

Definitely the spot for a night out or if you want to dress up and take pictures. It's a bit of a wait so either plan for a reservation or show up early. As a Californian, this place is identical to Joeys. Food wise, the tacos are a bit on the spicier side so be ware. My friend has no spice tolerance and could barely handle it. The pasta is absolutely delicious though. I would order different entrees and split it with my friends if that was an option. Lychee tini here is yummy but not as strong as I hoped it would be. We came here for a celebration and they gave us a free decadent chocolate brownie.

Took in a late lunch and found an escalator up to this restaurant bar on Kalakaua Avenue on Waikiki Beach. Cool setting, sat at the bar and ended up treating happy hour menu as my early dinner instead. Great service, inviting staff and good vibe. Attentive from bartender, Ata. Great appetizers, signature cocktails were all home runs. I'd be back when in town next. Perfect for solo travelers.

Upscale vibes with great drinks , delicious food and a top model staff ! The ambiance is moderne and sexy with beautiful wood trim around. Escalator and steps entrance take you to second floor where you can enjoy the bar or dining area. Good service as every employee looks like they stepped off a surfing of modeling runway lol! I give this a 100/10

Earls is one of those spots you go to more for the vibe then the food. The ambiance is super lively, and it strikes a balance between beachy and modern, almost club-like. It feels like the kind of place you can dress up a little, grab drinks, and just enjoy the energy of the night. Service was also really impeccable - attentive and very friendly. Seared Ahi Tuna: 8/10 - Tuna was very high quality and the sauce was really flavourful. Super unique twist on a carpaccio. Crispy Tuna Rice: 5/10 - Quality and Flavour was there but the portion of Tuna was really small. Rice wasn't that crispy either. Steak: 3/10 - Don't recall which steak I got but this was a big letdown. I almost never send dishes back but I did in this case. Ordered the steak medium rare but it came out well done. Not a huge deal but the quality of the meat just wasn't there. Fries were pretty bland as well and the salad was a letdown. Truffle Tortellini: 8/10 - Truffle flavourful really came through and was well balanced by all the other elements on the dish. Pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was rich, and there was a good amount of veggies sprinkled in. Honestly, my favourite dish of the night was actually the clase Azul cocktail. Super stiff but well-balanced and smooth. All-in-all, even though some dishes missed the mark, ill definitely come back just for the atmosphere and drinks and maybe to try more of the appetizers.

Came here for happy hour after seeing all the great reviews, and it didn't disappoint. I came with a friend and made a reservation for the lounge since happy hour seating is limited to the bar or lounge--definitely recommend doing this because it gets busy. Even with the crowd, service was fast and our server was attentive. Ordered margaritas and really enjoyed them. I usually don't like the strong triple sec taste, but these were smooth and well balanced. I made mine a double and it was perfect. For food, I had the Petite Steak Frites and a Fish Taco. The steak was lean but cooked perfectly medium rare, just how I asked. The fish taco had great flavor and tasty garnishes. Both dishes were solid. Overall, a great experience and a fun time. This place is popular for a reason--make a reservation if you plan to come during happy hour.

Been waiting awhile to try Earl's. The food was delicious our favorite was the tuna crispy rice sushi, but the charred corn and avocado dip was a nice appetizer. We waited about 45 minutes for a table and the service was slow, but I did appreciate how friendly and attentive our waitress was. They even gave us a birthday treat to celebrate at the end. I really liked the design of the restaurant and all the plants gave a nice tropical feeling and created a nice ambiance. The restaurant is really dark, so it was difficult to read the menu.

Yes! Delicious! Great Ambiance! Friendly Service! Located in Waikiki across fro Mui Mui, near H&M, kitty corner from Gucci... you can park at International Market Place (I did not, I parked on the next corner in a garage I had never been in and was lost, but it all worked out...) and take the stairs, escalator, or elevator up to the 2nd floor. A great big area with a nice presentation, massive bar, great touches., to greet you upon entering. Great Korean style food options with awesome flavors mixed in with some random other options. All delicious. Seating is spaced far enough away for privacy. Dress code is upscale however, it is Waikiki so you get a little bit of everything. I even saw two women come in with bathing suits. WET BATHING SUITS !! I will still return and recommend.

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick.
