Tuna Crispy rice and chicken tenders
    Sara K.

Good food, service and vibes. Tuna crispy rice and chicken tenders were tasty. Ambiance is trendy and nice but not too fancy. In the heart of Waikiki.

Came here today with my hubby for dinner. It's in the heart of Waikiki and this evening is also the 80th annual Aloha Festival happening in the main strip, Kalakaua street. Reservation is highly recommended as this place gets very busy in the evening. We sat by the lanai where I can see the hula dancing down the street. That was a plus!!! The seats were very comfortable and the place was intimate with the dim lights. We ordered 2 Honey Glazed Tomahawk Pork chop!!! Our eyes lit up when our entree came! Huge 14oz Kurobuta pork chop, beautifully presented with the mashed potato, broccolini on the bottom and Chermoula sauce on the edge of the plate with some crunchy topping for texture. This pork chop was so tender and juicy, grilled perfectly, medium well and the best pork chop we ever had!!! The date chutney complimented the pork chop with sweet notes while the chermoula sauce was bright and zesty, similar to chimichurri sauce. The mashed potato and broccolini worked well with the dish! It was a well composed entree! Compliments to the chef! This was an epic meal! We recommended this restaurant to anyone searching for a great meal in Waikiki. You will not be disappointed!

We decided to stop by for dinner since we were nearby, and my friend had been raving about this place. It's a good idea to make reservations because it can get pretty busy! The restaurant has a spacious, warm, and lively vibe. I was really impressed by how beautifully decorated the space is. Earl's kitchen and bar is renowned for their steaks and seafood. But if you're not in the mood for those, their menu has a nice variety of other dishes to enjoy. Here's what we ordered: - Sticky Korean ribs - so tender and bursting with flavor - Szechuan Shrimp and Pork Dumplings -- tasty with just a hint of spiciness - Crispy rice sushi with spicy ahi - Spicy California Roll Honestly, everything we chose was absolutely delicious! I'd happily order these again and try even more next time. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our meal. It was such a great experience, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! FYI: -15% Kamaaina discount on food till 2 pm - Happy hour -- daily from 2PM-5PM and 10PM until close in the lounge area only - Brunch hours -- weekends and holidays from 11am to 2pm

Came here right after they opened and oh boy, I was surprised! The interior design was well planned and I love the vibe of their dining area. A very decent place to dine in on special occasions with family and friends. FOOD. KOREAN RIBS - it was pretty good actually, savory and tasty DELUXE BURGER - my favorite that i ordered, the patty is cooked just right SOUTHWEST CHICKEN AVOCADO SALAD - love the vinaigrette dressing but the chicken meat was dry, it was seasoned well though LIME CRUSH TEQUILA SODA - the perfect drink to have at that time Overall t'was an awesome experience and Jessica our server is such a gem! She is so nice and accommodating making sure we are taken care of. I truly appreciate her hospitality as well. Great ambiance, clean atmosphere and pretty friendly server I think Earls Waikiki did a great job in here. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering

Our first time here, we had Ethan I believe? as our server and he did an amazing job making sure we had everything we needed, as well as offering extras in a convincing way and not too pushy at all!!! He made great conversation and took his time with us which we appreciated. Very kind guy We ordered the spicy calabrian pasta with chorizo and the sirloin steak and crunchy ahi tuna sushi. These two are popular picks we saw in videos online and of course when trying a restaurant for the first time we wanna go with the safe popular choices. They were pretty good. The pasta was not that spicy at all, I even think kids would be okay with it. The crispy sushi was actually so crispy that it took a while to chew because it almost got a little hard but it had good flavor overall. We also ordered a mango margarita which was good. It seems like they have amazing happy hour deals but unfortunately we didn't come during that time but i'm thinking of doing so a later night in our trip! Dark ambiance was a vibe and good for photos.

Had a great experience at Earls Kitchen + Bar in Waikiki! We parked at the Waikiki International parking garage and walked over, which wasn't too far at all. We had a 7:00 PM reservation on a Sunday night and were seated promptly. Our server, Christian, was amazing! She was super sweet, attentive, and consistently checked in on us throughout the meal. Our food and drinks also came out really quickly, which was a huge plus. As for the food, everything was pretty good overall. The tortellini, steak, sushi, and fries were amazing and definitely some of our favorites. The corn and avocado dip was also really good, although the chips were a little overly salty. The oysters were unfortunately super tiny, and we felt like some of the portions were on the smaller side for the price. One thing to note is that it's an open-air restaurant, so it was REALLY muggy when we went. We were literally sweating while eating, but that's more of a weather thing than the restaurant's fault. Overall, we had a great time! The service was excellent, the food came out quickly, and there were plenty of dishes we really enjoyed. We'll definitely be back to try more items!

Had a great time at Earl's. Went for dinner about two weeks ago. I ordered the tomahawk pork chop. See photo. The food was really good. Our waiter was very nice. The restaurant overall was nice, modern decor. Definitely recommend for a nice dinner out with family or coworkers.

    Fish tacos, southwest salad

Where are all the cool people in Waikiki? Earls. My friend and I stumbled in here for an early lunch before it was busy and we were blown away by the aesthetic. The decor is gorgeous, the staff are all good looking, the food is amazing. For lunch, we split the southwest salad and fish tacos. All were great - the blackened chicken on the salad was DELISH - juicy, flavorful. Yum. I had an espresso martini and my friend had a margarita! We liked it so much we decided to come back one night for drinks and dinner. Heads up - make a reservation or be prepared to wait if you want a table. We were told there was a 1.5 wait for a table so we hovered over the bar a little bit until two seats opened up. The bar top is first come first serve - full bar and you can order food! I got the blackened chicken entree, we shared truffle fries, and she got the fish tacos. It's right in the thick of Waikiki. Also have to shout out our amazing server Ali'i - he really helped with recommendations and made the whole experience great.

    Strawberry Margarita

Made a reservation online two days before coming. So I would suggest making a reservation for this restaurant. Upon being seated, our server Rachel made my party aware of any specials, suggested cocktails that were fan favorites, and checked with our table often. I ended up ordering Steak+Truffle Tortellini, and paired a Strawberry Margarita cocktail with my meal. Everything was so good. The steak was so tender and had a great flavor. The atmosphere was very nice in Earl's. We were celebrating a birthday so we came with a theme color and it went well with the esthetic setting of this place. Our server was aware of the birthday also, so she made sure it was acknowledged before our departure. The entire experience was 10/10 and would highly recommend stopping into Earl's and catching all the vibes.

Steak frites, Birria Tacos, Pork and Shrimp dumplings
    Nate R.

We stopped in for the late-night happy hour, and from the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The atmosphere was incredible--it had the energy of an upbeat lounge with a fun, lively vibe. We were even offered champagne while we waited for our table, which was a nice touch. Our wait was only a few minutes before we were seated. My wife and I both ordered espresso martinis. They were pretty average, but still enjoyable. For food, we ordered the steak frites, pork and shrimp dumplings, and the birria tacos. The steak frites absolutely stole the show and were easily our favorite dish of the night. The dumplings were also very good. The birria tacos were a little too salty for our taste, but since we loved everything else, it didn't take away from the overall experience. A special thank you to our waitress, Sophia, who surprised us with a complimentary dessert after learning we were celebrating our honeymoon. The dessert was absolutely delicious, and we really appreciated the thoughtful gesture--it made the evening even more memorable. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back. Between the amazing atmosphere, great service, and standout food, this ended up being one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip.

    Tomahawk pork chop
    Lena K.

Absolutely insane food. Our whole party loved everything we ordered. I had the tomahawk pork chop and the spicy margarita. I would come back again and again for that pork chop! Our server Kaiea was great. We are visiting from San Diego and the ambiance and menu reminds me of the trendy restaurants we have there (shameless plug to request a San Diego location!). I would definitely recommend coming here!

This restaurant was really nice and aesthetically pleasing. It is very popular and would recommend making a reservation. Even with a reservation you will still be waiting. Once they send you up upstairs you have to wait longer to actually be seated. This was a good recommendation for our hotel's front desk. We really enjoyed the food and drinks here. The vibe was nice. I would recommend when visiting Waikiki because it was our experience that the restaurants are hit or miss.

    The menu.

Unfortunately, there is no espresso machine so you cannot get fresh drawn espresso to make a Carajillo the way Cafe Miro use to. The ahi brioche is a carry over from all Chris Kajioka places. The grilled cheese is excellent. Hotdogs are kicked up - it used to be a black truffled miso chicken sausage but the current one is a little different. The problem is the food preparation totally undermines the whole place. Without a separate kitchen you have frying being done just a few feet away from where cocktails are made. If you sit on the right side of the bar you will quickly understand why this doesn't work. I would come here more frequently if i didn't have to smell like cooking oil afterwards. Fix that problem and this place would rock.

The ambiance inside is a unique blend of Japanese and urban with musical tracks from artists like Nujabes to match. Fern and Elsa served us and were friendly and so welcoming, answering questions and the menu and making great cocktail recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks (several of which are named after famous anime characters) which were a unique blend of Japanese inspired botanicals, and a couple of side dishes. The ube sake shot was dangerously delicious and the mushroom boa were savory and tasty. This was the most unique place we vision our trip and we hope to visit again on our next Hawaiian vacation. If you are in the Ala Moana area, definitely stop by!

Firstly, the vibes are IMMACULATE. 20/10…read more Wild Orange is a speakeasy hidden behind an old-school Aloha Maid vending machine. Apparently you're normally supposed to put a coin in to open the secret door, but it's broken right now, so the whole vending machine just swings right open. Slightly less secret, but still very cool. Inside is where this place really shines. Moody lighting, a giant orange tree in the middle of the room, Japanese hip hop playing in the background (I want to steal this entire playlist), and extremely cool and friendly servers and bartenders. I've been to a few other attempted "speakeasies" in Honolulu, but most are basically just dark bars with a fun door or code word. Wild Orange actually has the VIBES to make the whole concept work. Definitely worth coming just to hang out and chill. They have a full bar and an extensive specialty cocktail menu. Tried the Purple Dragon, made with ube liqueur and coconut cream. Very sweet--a little TOO sweet for my taste--but tasty and pretty. Probably should have listened to the menu and kept it as a shot, but I wanted something I could sip on for a while and chill. The Umeshu Highball was also very pretty and tasty. My friend who works as a sake distributor was impressed with their selection of good sake, so of course we had to order a bottle. Our server brought it out in an ice bucket, kept it off to the side, and completely served it for us throughout. Very classy. The food menu is fun and creative, but unfortunately not really for me because it's entirely vegan. Most times, but ESPECIALLY when I'm drinking, I want MEAT. Tried the Wild Musubi, a vegan Spam musubi. I'm not actually sure what the "meat" was. Possibly fried tofu? Whatever it was, it was definitely a passable alternative, but would have been 100x better if it were just plain old Spam. It also falls victim to what I find is a common problem with vegan attempts at Japanese food: anything teriyaki ends up being way too treacly sweet without actual meat or seafood to ground it in reality. Also tried the Char Siu Tofu Bao, fried tofu in a red Chinese-style char siu sauce on fluffy white buns. Again, fun and certainly not bad, but these would be 1000x better with actual pork. If Wild Orange had this exact same creative food menu but carnivore edition, this place would probably be 7/5 stars for me. That being said, I know being vegan will actually be a huge draw for some people, and I appreciate that the food is creative rather than just the usual sad vegan afterthoughts. Parking is pretty easy by Honolulu standards. It's inside Hawaiian Brian's, so there's a large shared parking lot. That being said, you might still have trouble finding a spot during peak gym hours since you're competing with all the 24 Hour Fitness customers. All in all, I LOVE this place. Definitely a fun stop--first, middle, only, or nightcap--on a chill night out. Will absolutely be adding Wild Orange into the rotation of places to bring out-of-town guests when I want to impress them with something cool and different. The vegan menu probably means it'll be a couple-times-a-year place for me rather than a regular haunt. But for drinks, service, atmosphere, and pure VIBES? 20/10.

What we thought was a pawn shop turned out to be... a speakeasy?!…read more What a lovely surprise. A gem of a find! I will never forget this experience. I was just skipping around town exploring wanting to check-in to as many places as I could like the responsible Yelp elite that I am and then I find this amazing hole on the wall speakeasy. The lovely gentleman in the front welcomed us in to take a look around and I asked him if I could take photos for yelp and he told me that if I was going to write a review, I had to join them. So of course, I took the invite and decided to stay for a little while. We sat at a nice area. A perfect little place. I just want to take a snapshot and keep it in my memory so I can emulate it and turn it into my home study. I could stay here forever. The vibes were on point. The server recommended drinks that he thought we would like, and we loved both of them. I don't remember what the drinks were called, but mine had a blueberry taste to it, and my friend had a mock tail, but some sort of Yuzu to it. We also shared a $15 charcuterie graze. 10 out of 10 would recommend being curious and opening doors to finding out that there's a speakeasy randomly in an area you never thought would be there. What an amazing experience.

What surprised me most was how good the food was for the price. Usually spots with this kind of atmosphere rely on the drinks to carry the experience, but every dish actually delivered. The chicken karaage was crispy and packed with flavor, the beef takoyaki disappeared almost instantly, and the taro chips with mascarpone were such a unique combination. Between the cocktails, food, service, and atmosphere, everything just worked.
