Hands down, this place was my favorite restaurant in this area. One star lost due to receptionist telling us all tables inside were booked but yet the entire time we sat outside with the flies, there was maybe one table with people there. Odd. Just odd. Food and servers made up for it. Best lamb chops I have had ever. Loved the Brussel sprouts . The salmon was pretty perfect as well, First time I have had wyagu but wasn't impressed since it was so fatty! Food presentation and timing were beautiful. Definitely a place I look forward to returning to.
Love a Michael Mina restaurant! Celebrated my bf birthday here, big shoutout to Philip and the team for the wonderful experience. It's romantic and AC, but also has a beautiful touch with the open window concept. We started with the shrimp cocktail, super succulent and fresh. We also had the caesar salad, lightly dressed, but love the texture of the croutons. We ordered the ribeye and mashed potatoes and had a side of the truffle butter. All of the food was AMAZING!!!
We sat at the bar and just made happy hour! Yay! We were taken care of quite quickly considering they were a bit busy. Bartenders doing their thang, noticed however if you are a regular they'll engage in conversation a little more... overall it was a nice experience.
Where do I even start?? What an amazing Place! From the host, to the decor to the service to the food! everything was perfect! Food is amazing, really worth the splurge. Service is friendly and tentative! I was really enjoying my time with family and friends which not much restaurants can offer that nowadays. this place is must go and must enjoy! They have free validated 4hr parking for dine-in guests.
Service and food was excellent! We ate during happy hour as a family of six and the prices were awesome for the food quality and quantity. There were many option for kids as well. Headed back tonight for dinner.
Stripe Steak by Michael Mina is my new favorite restaurant in Waikiki. The patio seating is perfect for large parties while the inside looks very romantic for an intimate evening. Probably the best oysters I've ever had, each seafood option was absolutely to drool for. The bar manager recommended a red which paired perfectly with each bite. I am already thinking about going back!
I absolutely loved the ahi crudo roll... and the Rockefeller oysters.. I would return for those plates and drinks. The filet minon was also very tasty and well cooked/seasoned. Overall, one of the best meals I've had while visiting Oahu. Service: The only negative id point out is that the table next to us was treated a bit differently (better). It was a young couple celebrating their birthday (as we were) and they received a slice of cake with a candle while we received nothing. Not a big deal. We were pretty full, but it was the principle. Their waiter had more of a rapport with them (discussing night clubs and 420-chatting). So maybe next time we just need to smoke a little to get better service ;) Because of this experience, I'd say I wouldn't pick this spot as a birthday dinner in the future ...
I'll be back. The Oishi oysters were the best I've ever had as tiny as they were and the the octopus was so soft! We also ordered Bone in Rib eye and that was awesome. Louis is a great server ask to be seated in his section!
Strip steak is a great place to eat at. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We had Rich, and he assisted by giving us a heads up as far as what we can share and if the plates were shareable. My wife and I stopped here to have dinner on Sunday night. We shared the 20 OZ RIBEYE, which they cut up for us and shared the whipped mashed potatoes. Both were amazing! I'm not a mashed potatoes type of person, but they were very good here! Would definitely be back!
Honestly, this place is dope and our server (I think his name was Ronaldo??) was amazing. Got fries with different dips and the caviar and tuna appetizer- just FABULOUS. The ponzu sauce on the caviar was delicious and the bottle of chardonnay we paired with it was just I also had filet mignon with chimichurri and asparagus, while my partner had the American wagyu and ribeye fried rice (try it with a glass of red wine, you'll thank yourself!) Everything was so good, all we could do was shake our heads lol We also had a slice of cake since it was my partners birthday and the cognac, although it's not my thing, was a great way to round off the evening. Great experience, wonderful flavors, personable staff, comfortable and clean atmosphere. I would definitely come back, mostly just for that caviar and tuna!
The ambiance at Stripsteak was great, but it was loud enough that having a conversation was a real challenge. We tried the tuna tartare and the steak--the tartare was solid, but the steak was honestly underwhelming for a steakhouse, especially at these prices. Portions were small for what you pay, and while the service was top notch, the food just didn't deliver. Probably won't be rushing back.
The food, ambience, and service was excellent. I'm so glad we choose this place to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we walked in and when we left, customer service was 110% on point. Our server Anders was amazing! (Thank your for your service again!) The managers and workers are attentive. The food was great along with the drinks we had. My husband got the modern old fashion and I got the maitai. Their dinner menu is a simple 1-2 page menu and easily to choose from. We choose the ahi hamachi tacos which were delicious and their pork belly. Our entree was enough to share for the both of us. The brussel sprouts were also delicious and tasty. For the dessert part, the molten lava cake was the BEST I've ever had in my opinion. So so yummy! They also gave us a slice of cake for our anniversary which was sweet of them. Oh and also, their restaurant is known for their complementary fries which was awesome. We sat next to the live performance. The guy who performed that night was really good. I will definitely come back here again.

We liked the ambiance and the servers were efficient. We all enjoyed our meals, and I tried some steak someone else ordered and it was very good. I paid with the inkind app, which went smoothly. My sister also paid with inkind, and when I saw her bill I pointed out an error after she has already paid. She tried to get it corrected but I think she's still waiting.

Our party of 4 came for happy hour. We all had shrimp cocktail, which was impressive. I also had the wedge salad, which was pretty good. The happy hour strawberry marg was also very good. Went there with 3 dear friends and they did not disappoint from start to finish, EVERYTHING was perfect. The restaurant was nicely busy but that did not damper the service, or the delicious food. Everything was perfect, our waitress Tori was such a sweetheart and Douglas the Manager was very attentive. Ambiance was nice and comfortable. Cannot wait to go back. read more
Celebrated a birthday and a promotion at STRIPSTEAK Waikiki and honestly... it couldn't have been a more perfect night. The ambiance is dark, moody, and intimate--exactly what you want for a special occasion--but what really stood out was the live music. It added such a beautiful energy to the space and broke things up in the best way without taking away from the vibe. Every single dish we ordered was impeccable. Not one miss. The drinks were also perfectly balanced--crafted with intention, not just poured--and it definitely showed. Service? Top-tier. Our water glasses were never empty, and the entire staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. Huge shoutout to our server, Tori, who was absolutely amazing. She knew the menu front to back--ingredients, preparation, flavor profiles--and guided us with the best recommendations. You can tell she genuinely cares about the experience. And the finale... the 24-carat gold dessert. Easily the best way to end the night--such a fun, elevated touch that made the whole experience feel even more special. Pro tip: If you're driving, park at International Market Place and make sure to get your parking validated. Overall, an unforgettable experience. My husband and I enjoyed a birthday weekend dinner at Stripsteak. We went after the cirque Ole show. Our server Tori made it a great experience. We had the Ohana 4 entree prefix meal. My husband had the gold Clase Azul and I had the wine pairing. The ambience was nice, we sat outside and really enjoyed the whole. Also, I'd recommend the waiter moving folks to a bigger table if they get the Ohana prefix menu as it was way too much food for a small two person table. read more
THERE BACK!!! They poached the chef from Mina's Fish House at the Four Seasons and their food has returned to the standards that one expects from a flagship steakhouse of the Mina Group. IMPORTANT: 1. As of 08.10.2025, the much hyped by influencers "Market Fish Menu" is gone. Instead replaced by a Mon - Sat special nod to Michael Mina's Fish House specials menu. 2. The "Sunday's on Ice", a special HH that adds cold seafood and caviar to the regular HH menu is still ongoing but subject to change / cancellation at any time. That said, holy F***!!! StripSteak Waikiki is back baby!!!. Straight to it, the Sunday only, "caviar madeleine", a reinvention of the caviar Twinkie with a corn bread base, yuzu creme fraiche and caviar with a dollop of caviar is amazing. At just $24 each, a great way to begin. Add to it the "chips and dip" AKA house fried potato chips with powdered ranch spices, creme fraiche and caviar, a truly indulgent bite though they should offer an option to add more caviar for a supplement price. More in this case is better. Sure, this dish is stolen from Caspian's Rock and Roe in Vegas but who cares, it's so good. Moving on, the fish and chips, excellent. A meal on its own. Large pieces of fresh mahi mahi, batter coated and fried extremely crisp. It is sat atop a bed of fires that have been spritzed with malt vinegar and what seems to be African harissa (not furikake as the server indicated). It is accompanied by a completely unnecessary picante cocktail sauce and pink peppercorn aioli. Fish, excellent; fries, over seasoned but passable. The HH chop wedge outstanding as per usual. Mina's ahi poke, outstanding as always. Mixed tableside to adjust spiciness. Don't run your fork through the "shaka" and lick it. Service is stellar. From a host who sat us at a regular table during HH to the personable bartenders and servers. Finally, the return of a real chef making sensible, steakhouse worthy dishes using locally sourced ingredients where possible makes StripSteak Waikiki and once again, worthy of being highly recommended. read more

With all of the great food options in Hawaii and restaurants that actually treat their guests with the aloha spirit that best represents the islands, I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. Our party of 3 arrived at Stripsteak around 5pm on a weeknight. The dining room was empty with a few people at the bar and outdoor patio. Although we had made a reservation, we let the hostess know that we were interested in the pau hana menu (a 3 course set menu) as well as the happy hour menu. She guided us to a booth letting us know that it'd be okay to order from there. Our server arrived to greet us and was initially friendly. However, when he saw us looking over the happy hour menu and we let him know that the hostess had said we could order the pau hana meal set, his mood immediately changed and he made a sarcastic remark how he guessed it was fine. The pau hana meal set includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. The portions are smaller, so I'm not sure that it's that much of a deal. It more so seems like the discounted price just represents the smaller portion of the item you'll receive. The food itself was good, but nothing was outstanding. Throughout the meal, the service continued to be uncomfortable with a few specific incidents that were awkward and unprofessional. At the end of the meal, I went to the restroom. For a nice establishment with premium prices, you'd expect nice facilities but they were disgusting. The bathroom was a mess and there was something wrong with almost every stall either with lights broken so the stall was pitch dark or locks being broken and not working. Overall, I was really disappointed by this meal. When everything's a miss, it feels like such a waste. Even though we did order from the happy hour/pau hana menu, we still ended up paying over $200 not including tip. Very disappointing and not a great representation of Hawaii. read more

Always a great time at strip steak! I come here so often I know the staff and they always have great service. I sit at the bar usually and the bartenders are attentive and have good conversation as well. I love coming here for a solo date, before heading out to party for the night, or with friends to celebrate an occasion. I usually get the Mahi Mahi, but this time I spoiled myself and splurged on the gelato.. paired with the complimentary duck fat fries, was an insane flavor combo! I'm excited to see their Sunday menu with champagne and caviar highlighted. I definitely have more reasons to come back. Not once have I had a bad experience with food or service. CJ was so informative and helpful. He was very accommodating to my vegetarian needs. The service here is exceptional. There are so many staff and everyone is always watching to take care of your needs. We sat outside and it was beautiful. Not too hot, and there is plenty of shade. The lychee Lilikoi martini is delicious! Also had a lychee martini and it was perfect. Neither were too sweet. You are served fries her instead of bread, which is what I love!! CJ was wonderful and had mine prepared sans duck fat. The Caesar salad was excellent, I had it sans the tempura anchovy but my partner ate that and he loved it. My partner had the mina's tartare and he loved it. It was cool to have it prepared at the table too. He had the wagyushu for his main course and it was marbled with fat, had a perfect cook, and flavor. The cauliflower steak was delicious! I recommend the chimichurri sauce for it! Truffle Mac is a must! I love that they don't put breadcrumbs because it keeps it creamy. CJ made our experience so much more enjoyable, we can't wait to visit him again when we come back to Oahu! read more

Great food. I'm a picky eater and look for quality vs qty. I had the oysters, crab-cake, octopus skewers, and ahi tartare. My waiter was awesome. He recommended a few plates and his wine pairing was amazing. For cocktails I had a dirty martini and a gold rush; perfection. Blue cheese olives were amazing; runchy the way they should be. Overall great food, great drinks, and the service was amazing. Highly recommend. I have traveled trying food over the U.S and overseas and this is a must go to when u are in the island. Our server Eulen knew the menu and wine. He paired our food and mixed my ahi. Amazing read more

Celebrated an engagement with close friends and family! We were a large party of 9 with a reservation at 9pm on a Saturday. Restaurant was lively and had perfect weather for a semi outside table and an open floor layout. Our party arrived at different time but our server Rick was extremely helpful. He kept our drinks coming and got all our orders in a timely manner. Everything tasted great and we enjoyed all our drinks as well. Highlight was the lamb and the tako skewers! (My personal favorites) a lot of our table got the chicken jidori and swore it was their favorite thing here. Overall a wonderful experience with great food, amazing service and the perfect ambiance for a nice celebration. Not my first time here and won't be my last! read more
We tried the tasting menu, it costs $135 per person. It's very casual, patio dining feel, with live music which was awesome. It's a lot of food, and not a bad deal for the amount of food you get. Your entire table needs to order the tasting menu. The dishes from the tasting menu are served family style. There were 4 courses. Appetizers, salad, entree and dessert. The crab cake, Caesar salad, truffle Mac were the standouts. The cocktails here are really good, but they're pricey starting at $19. The service here is very friendly and attentive. read more
We sat at the bar for a few happy hour drinks and some appetizers. We both had the steak tartare bites which were delicious. We split an order of the tako on skewers with sausage and peppers. Tako was very nicely cooked and it was an interesting dish overall. As always great service and lovely decor. Drinks on point. This is definitely a must stop place on our trips inter island. We visited Stripsteak during International Market Place's Grand Lānai Restaurant Week 2026 from May 1 to 10. From the tasting menu I had the crude, steak & cheesecake. All ingredients were fresh and items were superb. Our waiter Richard had us try (and possibly name) some of the bartenders newest libations. It overall was great time and with a nicely priced 3 course menu for this week's event. read more

Strip steak was phenomenal!! Sexy fun vibes and elegant dining experience. I ordered the Mai tai for my drink that was made really well the bartenders were amazing!! We sat at the bar since the view was amazing! For food I tried the poke tuna tacos and the cocktail shrimp that was sooo good!! Customer service was great !! And it was happy hour that had a great menu selection. I will come back here many times when I visit!! read more
We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. I made a reservation online and noted the occasion--and wow, the staff truly went above and beyond! They wished him a happy birthday multiple times, surprised us with a handwritten card, and even brought out a complimentary coconut cake. Such a thoughtful touch! The entire staff was incredibly attentive, and we're sooo appreciative of the warm hospitality. Drinks: They offer a great selection of liquor, wine, and cocktails. My husband especially loved the Wild Turkey 70th Anniversary 8-Year--he highly recommends it if you're into bourbon! Food: Their menu features fresh, local-inspired dishes, and we were impressed. The truffle scallops were a highlight--savory with a nice citrusy finish. We, of course, came for the steak, which was cooked perfectly. It was a touch saltier than we prefer, but it actually paired well with the broccolini and mushrooms we ordered as sides. Overall, it's a classy spot that showcases delicious local flavors. We'd absolutely recommend it--whether you're celebrating something special or just want a great night out. read more

Family took me here for my birthday. What we had: Steak - I forget what kind but it was tender and juicy and flavorful Ceasar salad - I loved this! Celebrated Chef Michael Mina's empire continues to grow and be durable thanks to his latest steakhouse concept in Stripsteak. Located on the Grand Lanai rooftop of the International Market Place Shopping Center, Stripsteak brings together the vibrant flavors of a modern American steakhouse with that of unique Asian influences, thanks to their menu featuring a wide variety of meats including all-natural Prime Certified Angus beef, American Wagyu, and Japanese A5 Wagyu. What sets Stripsteak apart from so many of their competitors including many of which are located right near them along Kalākaua Avenue, which serves as the main tourist thoroughfare in Waikiki, is the fact that an extra special attention to service is given to everyone who walks through their door. With an open-air patio ambience that actually was revealed as I dined there at their bar area, Stripsteak truly is an exceptional place to dine and is in line with other restaurants that Michael Mina operates with his name on the masthead. What brought me here on a recent visit to Waikiki, was the fact that Stripsteak hosts what they call a High Tide Hour, which in essence is a Happy Hour exclusively in their bar area from 4-6 p.m. every day. I'm always on the lookout for a good Happy Hour, and with Stripsteak so close to my hotel, a visit was a must, and it did not disappoint. With plenty of open seating at their bar area, I was presented with a menu at Stripsteak that presented as if it was a massive binder thanks to the abundance of wines and liqueurs they feature here. To start my meal I ordered their Lychee Mule which had a nice combination of vodka, lime and ginger beer in a chilled copper mug, and it was a refreshing way to start my meal. To start my meal, I ordered their 3 Piece Jumbo Tiger Shrimp Cocktail, which was served on a bed of ice and with wasabi cocktail sauce; and their Spicy Ahi Tuna Taco which was served with Avocado Purée and Sriracha Aioli on a deep-fried seaweed paper. With my drink in hand and being able to enjoy my two small Happy Hour entrées, I enjoyed my time at Stripsteak as live music was playing in the dining room as I was able to watch others enjoy their meal at their tables. I loved the taste of both entrées with the jumbo shrimp being super large and enjoyable and my only regret with tuna taco was that it was so small that I wanted a second one almost right away. Instead of ordering that second helping of tuna, I looked at their Hide Tide Hour menu and saw a number of items that intrigued me including their Chop Chop Wedge and their Holo Holo Burger & Fries. But there was something about their Fish & Chips which was a market fish served with hurricane fries and a pink peppercorn tartar dipping sauce. After enjoying a refreshing Lychee Mule, I decided to try a second Happy Hour cocktail, the Lilikoi Mai Tai, made with their signature rum blend, lilikoi, and lime. It was strong with every sip, and while I was glad to experience Hawaii's signature drink, I quickly realized it wasn't my personal favorite. As for the Fish & Chips entrée, it was plentiful with deep-fried fish, almost too plentiful as I had trouble finishing my dish and the tartar sauce had too much peppercorn which would overpower the entire dish. For a total bill of $77.49, a generous spread of food and drinks, Stripsteak delivered the best meal I experienced in Waikiki when it came to service and ambiance. It's clear they know exactly what they're doing here: as I lingered past Happy Hour, the crowds only grew, proof that this spot has staying power. read more

I was quite impressed with this place! Everything from the service, food and presentation was spot on! I also love how they give fries instead of bread and butter lol! For the appetizer we ordered the grand chilled seafood platter and then I got the diver scallop pasta as my main. I don't usually eat chilled seafood platters but this one was great! The seafood was fresh and the shrimp, crab and lobster were all nice and meaty (I don't eat oysters lol). My diver scallop pasta was delicious! Everything about it was just so good. The pasta was nice and al dente, scallops were cooked perfectly and the pesto had a bright fresh zesty flavor from the arugula and yuzu. I tried a bite or two of the steak with some mashed potatoes and the steak was so tender and the potatoes were so creamy and buttery! For dessert, I think we had the 24k chocolate molten cake sundae and that was the perfect way to end our meal! If you want to splurge on a fancy high end meal this is a place to check out! read more
We went there on weekday's early evening. It was empty when we got there, but pretty packed by the time we left. The staff were pretty attentive. The atmosphere wasn't so upscale and more casual. Mai Tai - I didn't like the crushed ice in it as it melted fast and made the drink watery. The drink was not as strong as expected. Guava Margarita - It was on a bit sweeter side, but was tasty and interesting. Complimentary French Fries - Duck fat and a hint of rosemary made these fries really good. Accompanied by three different sauces made it more enjoyable. Jumbo Lump Crabcake - It was smaller than I thought, but a strong Old Bay seasoning was kind of unique and tasty. Boiled Diver Scallops - It was good yet a bit bland for our liking. Washugyu Ribeye - The taste of meat and doneness were excellent. However, there was too much finishing salt and that kind of diminished the goodness of that. Charred Broccolini - It was a bit undercooked for our liking and also the sauce was insignificant. Garlic Fried Rice - This was delicious! A bit of Chinese seasoning and pork did it. Kona Dark Chocolate Layer Cake - There wasn't much dark chocolate and had more cream than expected. Is there a kid's menu? Is it kid friendly?
Yes. It may not be a formally printed one but on my visit I saw some kids with mini cheeseburger sliders and fries. Simple but looked amazing. I actually had meal envy looking at it!
Is there a bar?
Yes there is! In fact, Stripsteak is known for its fabulous wine list!

We were there for a couple of hours and noted a variety of dress...including shorts and flip flops, even tho the description of the restaurant specifically says no flip flops and "upscale casual". Just dress casually nice and you'll be fine...Great…
