We were looking for something casual and relatively inexpensive and Yard House hit that perfectly for us. We went in on a Friday for happy hour and had about a 20 minute wait for a table. When we got seated our waitress was prompt and helped us get our order in before happy hour was over. We ordered exclusively from the happy hour deals menu and the portions were extremely generous. Chicken nachos were tasty, my favorite topping was the quick pickled jalapeños, so delicious. Also got the Brussels sprouts and they were some of the better Brussels I've had, crispy and the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The sliders were great for the kids, they still came with fries which I thought was surprising for an appetizer. The truffle mushroom pizza was also savory and delicious. The wait for a table was about 10 min but the bar and the Hightops behind the bar are open seating so we sat there. They have fall seasonal beers and a Pumpkin spice beer which I loved served with a sugar rim so yummy! The blue cheese and bacon burger was pretty good too! I grabbed a beer and the Whiskey Glazed Salmon. The beer was not what I expected, but I was good since I took a shot in the dark. As for the salmon, that was amazing. Cooked perfectly and the glaze was the right amount of sweetness. The rice and veggies pairs nicely as well. It was a nice and simple dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed. Went here because they had multiple vegan options mixed throughout the menu with the "sub gardein chicken" options. It ended up being happy hour so we had half priced apps which is always exciting! We loved the variety of options this place had which will probably make us return while we are here this week. I got the gardein wings (delicious!!) and the steak bowl with gardein chicken. I don't usually take the time to review chain restaurants unless something stands out good or bad. In this case. We had a really good experience with someone named Val. She greeted us asses her names and helped us out with our beer selections and food selections. Even though the bar was quite busy, she always took the time to find out if we needed something or asked how things were. As much as she was hustling. I was surprised she even made the effort but she did and we are appreciative of that. We came in during the happy hour so we had three appetizers and all three were delicious. The first was the ahi nachos which were gone in almost an instant because they tasted that good. Next up we had the seared ahi tuna which was quite plentiful and for happy hour half price, a very good deal. Lastly, we had the calamari rings which were okay but nothing spectacular. I think that would be the only appetizer we would not order again here. There was a baseball game going on and it got quite loud at times but that's what happens when you have about 20 TVs in a bar area with a lot of alcohol. read more

This place is always fun to stop by with a group of people. I usually come with friends and family. Not exactly date night spot for me because of how loud it can get. Easiest way is to get here on a moped. If not, I take the car and park at the hotel behind with validated parking. You'll have to make a reservation just because it's in Waikiki and can get busy. They open late so most people tend to come here because it's the only this open. But their staff works hard and fast to get people in and out. Lots of food on the menu to select from. Nothing crazy stands out to me as the best of the best. Everything is as it is, and their food is good. I don't think I've had anything bad here. We went to happy hour yesterday and , oh boy, we had AMAZING AMAZING time. SO SORRY Megan, we stayed 5 hrs at the big table for just two of us. The food was so so good, with big portions too!! Truffle pizza, poke nachos, caramari...so so yummy! Pineapple beer that Megan suggested was very good too!! But more than anything, Megan, she was THE BEST, product knowledge A+, very nice A+, polite A+, patient A+, smile A+. I just ate at the expensive restaurant in Ko Olina and had a $600 dinner. This is a great restaurant in a central location just off of Waikiki Beach near the Royal Hawaiian shopping plaza. It's quite busy but was quick for us to get in at 5pm. We went here twice during our vacation here at Waikīkī, Hawaii. This was one of the best steaks Ive ever eaten. It was juicy, tender, and delicious. It was so tender that I was really easy to cut. I got some nice sweet potato fries as a side to replace the asparagus. It came with mashed potatoes and it was super creamy and soft. My mom got the chicken and avocado sandwich which was actually a burger. It was huge and she loved it. The chicken was made perfectly and it was juicy and tender just like my steak. The staff here are really nice. They also have a nice bar. I would definitely come back here for lunch when I come back some time in Hawaii. read more

I was in Waikiki for vacation in May and came here with my husband for a weekday happy hour. There was not much of a line when we arrived and we were seated pretty quickly. Drinks: I had the Long Beach tea. It didn't pack much of a punch and didn't give me much of a buzz if any. The flavor was ok but I wouldn't order this again. Food: I tried the cheese curds and chicken lettuce wraps. These were both good! The cheese curds were nice and salty (but not too salty) and came with good dipping sauces. I appreciated that they provided multiple toothpicks for picking up the curds. The lettuce wrap was tasty as well. Everything inside of the wrap was seasoned really well. The sauces were also very complimentary to this dish. It was a treat to also get to eat off of the wonton cup once I finished off all the lettuce. The price was very reasonable and actually felt like happy hour pricing in this economy. My average scores for the drink(2.5), food(4.0), and pricing/service(5.0) are a little under 4 stars but so I'll give them an overall 4 stars. read more

They looked pretty busy and decided to walk in since we were tired and just wanted to sit down at this point. The bartenders were very friendly and offered us to sample any beers if we wanted to. The yard house seems to be the place to go these days. They have a quite extensive menus and depending where you're visiting they have some menu items that are local just to that area with something for everybody. And for guests staying at the embassy suites there is a 10% discount and free delivery to your room as well. There's always a long line at night so plan accordingly but there's a nice area right outside to sit and wait. Service here is usually pretty good and food here though a chain is consistent. It was so funny we ended up stopping at Yard House. We usually don't go to chain restaurants very often, but we had to stop by since we used to be regulars at the one in Santana Row for a while. It's been a long time since I've been to a Yard House, but honestly, they're the only real option in Hawaii if you're trying to eat late. They're open until 1:20 a.m. on Fridays, and Monday through Sunday they're open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Their chicken nachos were so good super flavorful. The burger sliders were just okay, nothing I'd order again, but their onions were surprisingly good. That's funny because I never ordered them at the Santana Row location since I usually prefer panko, but this one had a different texture I actually liked. The staff was really nice, and I believe last call for food is at 1:00 a.m., which is pretty cool for Hawaii considering almost everything else closes early, aside from Duke's. It's a fun little spot and pretty much the only place you can grab food after hours in Hawaii, restaurant-wise lol. read more

The kale Caesar is definitely a step above most Caesar salads as it had yellow raisins, Brussels sprouts, and pistachios! The service is usually fast here, but we usually opt for bar seating.
