Lunch is better than breakfast. We had a credit for $15 per day per person through my companion's Diamond status. We had breakfast and lunch there everyday of our stay. Pro tips for breakfast- order the Hawaiian local fresh eggs. If you want, order it over rice and bacon. It tastes like a broke person's fried rice as they give you soy sauce on the side. Pro tip for lunch- I ordered the famous bbq ribs and they were very good. Nice and tender. I wish they came with a side of sauce. Tacos were good but mediocre. It's hard because I'm from CA, IYKYK. They always forgot about the 15% discount for Hilton Diamond members (only applies to the non-asterisked items). Tables are always clean and service was usually good. Every time I pass by, dinner seems to be busy. I would say breakfast and lunch are pretty quiet.

Happiest hour in Waikiki

Nice pau Hana (happy hour) but not too many options for vegetarians or those who don't eat much meat. Would love a few more seafood options too. Sat at the bar and our bartenders were excellent. Nice HH beer, wine and cocktails and maitais were a steal at $6 each. Clean, buzzing place right on Kuhio but just enough off the beaten path to feel a little local vibe.

Enjoyed a really nice time with my buddy at Fire Grill in the Hilton Garden Inn on Kuhio. The place was packed at 6:30pm on a Wednesday night, and we had to wait several minutes before we could grab two seats at the bar. We specifically came here to have their bone marrow appetizer and try the ribs. My buddy said that they bought the ribs recipe rights from the former Tony Roma restaurant. They were definitely "fall off the bone" tender, and had a very similar taste, but had a bit more acidic taste, like apple cider; still good. The bone marrow came with two good sized pieces, along with several pieces of bread to enjoy. They were buttery smooth and delicious. Our bartender, Kris, was a champ. She handled the entire bar of a dozen diners and the drink orders for the rest of the dining room quickly and efficiently. She was friendly and helpful with food and drink suggestions. They do have a Happy Hour menu, which I will definitely check out in the near future. Although I really avoid going into Waikiki, Fire Grill is a spot that's definitely worth the hassle.

We made reservations for Valentines day with another couple. The service was good, but the food is overpriced foe the quality. Didnt really enjoy the decor and the location of the restaurant. Definitely wouldn't be back.

Happy hour is where it's at. Prime rib tacos $10.00, half rack of fall of the bone ribs for 26.00 and 6.00 Mai Tai's. I would 100% recommend. The food is excellent and the staff is super friendly.

Half ribs $22 special

Came here during happy hour for dinner and they had some great deals! Sherry was our server and she was excellent! A lot of NY personality. She really made this an enjoyable dinner. I got the prime rib tacos and although small, they were tasty! I also got their truffle mashed potatoes which was also delicious! They also had baby back rib deals. A half rack was $22. We noticed other tables ordering this as well. It came with fries and some slaw. The ribs were excellent! They had some great drink specials as well, $7-8 beers. $10 cocktails. I would definitely come back here. Also, don't be afraid to speak up and request a table in the front and next to a window! When we initially walked in they tried to sit us in the back of the restaurant! No view or anything!

My husband took me here for the first time and we had such a great time. Our waitress.. I wish I remembered her name was amazing! She was soo sweet and kept complimenting on how my husband and I were her "goals" in life. She recommended on what to try and she was def right! We loved everything. The ambiance was perfect for our date night! We will def be going again!

Did you know they now have paella? I was curious to try their new offerings so off we went! They also have great happy hour options too. We got: - a glass of red wine (they have a great deal on bottles at HH) - a glass of sangria - always a hit - arugula and prosciutto salad - know that it's literally those 2 ingredients plus parmesan and a delicious light dressing - their famous ribs - next time I'll ask for less sauce but omg is was so tender and falling off the bone - squid ink paella - what a unique offering and so flavorful! It had little tempura-ed shrimp on top too! - their famous smoky prime rib - it's like a show with the food, cooked medium rare like I wanted it, and such good flavors. The meat was a bit fattier than I wanted but I'd still get it! Overall, recommend, go before 6pm for the happy hour bonuses! This is part of my places to visit in Waikiki Youtube video!

Service and food was amazingly great! We ordered the focaccia bread, ceasar salad, ribeye steak and manager's dessert special. Everything was delicious forgot to take pic of the bread and salad.

Had an early big dim sum brunch late morning, picked up some souvenirs from Big Island Candies at Ala Moana, shopped the stores, got hungry, decided to try Fire Grill's Happy Hour eats. Their HH is from 3-6, quite an extensive HH menu. The day we were there, there was a 'special' on their pork ribs for $24 We shared beef bone marrow(2pcsof bones+2 pcs of French bread), crab stuffed mushrooms and octopus bourgignon. We asked for more bread and staff said $6, came on a plate with 2 pcs! Anyhow, all dishes are good and tasty, came out piping hot. Will come again next time to try their ribs.

Food a bit priced not gonna lie. Ordered fhe salmon dish. Fantaaaaastic served with mash potatoes (for once!!!!!!(most restaurants serve salmon with rice - so siiiick of rice w/ every meal!!!)) (I get it - Not in my home turf where potatoes was 1/4 - 1/2 the time on the menu in one form or another) Please keep serving beautiful potatoes!!! Now can I just go back to those potatoes? I savored that flavor of the fried skin too W/ the potatoes more than ever - even now I just wanna go get some mashed potatoes a la fried salmon skin!!!! and some truffle butter and a bottle of chardonnay and i will be QUEEN! (for a few minutes before I possibly get dragged away (didn't happen folks)) - that mead me to many other questions that would probably not be allowed here. Ok of course the spears were to die for and paired with the lovely little pettle morsels - was really quite eye opening! Desert - MJ came truly back from the grave on a slate plate - encased in glass cover and was all foggy inside. Alas, server removed the lid to quickly and to my THRILLER delight had this in front of me!!! C'mon ya know the song ya know the moves ya know that deep voice......Bobus ya get to keep the syringe (that may be questionable for your dining experience, the the Frankenstein hand!!! Solid ding is they only had a Lefty hand - ummm is it right cost then if they don't carry right handed frankenstein hands (woulda mad it complete if the right side was coming out with the main course and the lefty on desert?) (hint hint wink wink) Now my major ding to these folks - as great and awesome as they are - they have t moved forward to electronic paying tabs!!!!!!! Get updated folks!!! I had to run baaaack to my hotel come baaaack with my wallet when my banking info is ON my phone!!!! Everywhere else can do e-pay; move forward with the times. Bar tender was good, hustling a lot to get everyone covered.

The moody speakeasy vibe was cool and our server was friendly, but the problem is nothing on the menu is very appealing or affordable. I decided to gamble on the 3 taco flight. Mexican food in Hawaii is always a gamble, but these were the worst tacos I've ever had in my life. They were comically small and, unfortunately, quite disgusting. Especially the tortilla, which was made from ulu and tasted like oily construction paper. The presentation was pretty underwhelming as well and did not include any salsa or hot sauce. When asked, the server offered Tabasco. Really?! But the real crime was the $27 price tag. We're all used to Hawaii prices, but come on. How can you charge NINE DOLLARS per tiny taco with a straight face? The drinks I had were ok, but nothing super memorable. Loved the vibe and I could see this place really popping off if they overhauled the menu. Until then, it's a pass for me.

The drinks are well balanced and have a lot of Japanese flavor influence (i.e shisho, matcha, yuzu). To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

We sat at the bar, which was a highlight, Michael and Tony were welcoming, easy to talk story with, and clearly know their craft. I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick. The tomato soup was fresh, bright, and made for dipping you didn't want to stop. We were welcomed with a table that had our name on it, a small touch that goes a long way. Prices are on point for the quality and experience you're getting. It's a bit of a hidden, hip spot, not for a quick drink but for when you want to sit, relax, and enjoy it.
