The CHEF is HAPPILY making tacos that are REALLY GOOD. I'll admit - the service here is always hit or miss. One of the managers has never spoken to me, but she will stare. I overheard her talking to a bartender so she seems cool, but I've never received service from her. The guy manager (if he's still there) is a wealth of knowledge, experience, and generosity. There's one drink I love that only one bartender can seem to make, and I haven't seen that bartender lately. The other bartenders and servers are lovely, but it always seems a bit...disorganized. They're really good about it, though. One night it took a little too long to get a soda for my niece, and they comped our round of drinks (and her soda). The other food has been 8/10. That's dining in - not take out. I got take out once and threw it in the trash. Avoid the guava ribs and pot de creme at all costs. Went here on a Friday night, made reservations beforehand via Open Table, though when I got there, it took a moment for someone to help me at the host stand. Didn't seem as if he checked any books for reservations and told me to sit anywhere I wanted. So I grabbed a seat at one of booths inside. It took quite a bit for a server to come around to ask if I've been helped, though by that time, I've already looked over the menu and knew exactly what I wanted. When we received the food, some items were a hit and some a miss for me. Such as the hummus with the pita, the hummus was way too salty for my liking. As for the Diavola pinsa (flatbread pizza), they ran out of Italian sausage and replaced that with pepperoni. I appreciated the gesture, though now I have to go back to see what it tastes like with the Italian sausage instead. The tiramisu was a healthy serving, super tasty. finally got to try out favorite son - but did i bring my favorite son with me to lunch (that is still yet to be determined). They are located in Ambassador Waikiki - on the corner of the hotel. Not sure if they validate parking for the restaurant tho. I actually called in the morning to check to see if they allowed dogs on the patio and they said yes! yay! I had this spot bookmarked forever and wanted to try out their restaurant week menu. Checking in took awhile - i did not want to bring the dogs inside to wait with me so we kinda stuck out by the door for a bit until someone came over to the host stand. We had a female server at first - i had to ask her for the RW menu since it wasn't originally offered to us, but she also said we can sit anywhere we wanted outside. The most shady spot was already taken, so we got the next best thing that was a little near the street since none of the umbrellas were open. I originally wanted the meatballs as our starter but she said they were all out (but i litterally came an hour after opening). I opted for the Hummus instead. It was ok - little bit on the tangy side. the entree i chose was the pizza which was decent, and i took the tiramisu to go which i enjoyed. it wasn't bitter and was perfectly balanced. towards the end i had a male server who i think probably picked up my call earlier. He was really nice. Only downside is service is really slow. i must have been there for over 2 hours just for lunch. I actually wanted to get going already since the amount of birds outside kept lingering and it was making one of my son's pretty crazy. The service was highly uncoordinated; half our table got their food in 20 minutes, while the rest of us waited 45 minutes for basic items. The food itself was "meh" across the board. The $20 avocado toast was a ripoff--just a thin smear of avocado and overly citrusy. The salmon lox came on a soft, warm croissant, creating a very weird, mushy texture compared to a classic bagel. We were looking for some quick food on our way back from the main strip, and this spot looked interesting enough. It was late as well, we were still adjusting to the time, and they were one of the only spots with a kitchen still open, so it was perfect. The bartender was fantastic and super helpful the whole nice. The cocktails were amazing. Pizza was okay, but the spinach dip was super delicious. It was a perfect meal for my husband and I. I honestly could have sat and drank here all night if the drinks weren't insanely priced, because they were some of the best cocktails we had in the area. As Hilton Diamond members, we were very disappointed. The good: Our server was an absolute gentleman--patient, attentive, and the best part of the meal. The bad: * The bartender was incredibly rude. When I asked about changing an order, she gave me an awful look. I then overheard her complaining about other guests, which is highly unprofessional. This restaurant was located right by my hotel and when we checked in it was recommended we try it because they had just opened. One our first day we stopped by and had a slice of pizza and a pog star martini! Both were extremely delicious and we ended up coming here almost every day for a slice of pizza before we hit the beach. On my last day before I went to the airport I decided to try the vodka penne pasta to eat before I boarded my flight. Not sure if it was because they had just opened but the dish was very salty and the sauce was thick and created this unpleasant texture. I was disappointed since the hotel staff recommended this dish and I just expected more since it was almost 30 dollars for the pasta. Nonetheless I had great experiences besides the pasta and would still go back for the pizza and drinks. Hopefully within time I am able to go back and I would love to try the vodka penne again! The crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings generous, and the flavors well-balanced. We ended with the tiramisu to share which was just what we needed to complement our meal. Everything came out to about $100 with good portion sizes! Tucked Away in the Ambassador Hotel Waikiki Tapestry by Hilton, Favorite Son is their All Day Dining Venue and just a wonderful Dining Experience here for Breakfast. Breakfast Menu is somewhat limited but the items we ordered were simply fantastic. We had the Breakfast Burrito which is stuffed with Scrambled Eggs,Waianae Mushrooms,Pepper-jack Cheese and added Bacon for an extra charge and Pico de Gallo served on the side wrapped in a Flour Tortilla. What an Excellent Breakfast Burrito full of flavor with the exception of the Picco de Gallo which could've used a little more flavor but it wasn't a deal breaker because the Breakfast Burrito was really Delicious and Flavorful without it. We also had the Lox and Scallion Cream Cheese Croissant which was also a hit. Beautiful presentation and a great combination of flavors. Freshly Brewed Coffee also delicious and we truly love the vibe of this place. But I have to tip my hat to the cashier who was a an Asian Guy with a ponytail with a tattoo on his arm. His service was simply amazing and was also very helpful and pleasant . What a great way to start your morning when you have a Cashier that is full of the Aloha Spirit. So, we came here for breakfast because we stayed at the hotel and had credit to use. We pretty much only got breakfast to go. For 6 nights that we were there, we had 6 breakfasts...right? Well, the menu was super small so there weren't that many options. Some things were good and some was just OK. I can't imagine paying full price for any of the food items. Very overpriced for what it is. $12 for a yogurt? No thanks. We got acai bowl a few times but like, were they waiting for the fruit to ripen before blending it or something? Took like half an hour to get our order! The decor was cute and live music on the weekend was nice but service could not be any slower. Don't recommend coming here unless you have some credit to use if you're staying at the hotel. There are plenty of other cheaper and quicker options to get food. read more

This was my second time staying at the Romer, and I was excited that there was a restaurant now. On the second night of my stay, I had no plans, so I thought I'd eat in. It is a little confusing when ordering, but I get it. However, I was told later that the bar offered full service which is where I sat. I ordered the kale salad which was delicious, especially the dressing! I also had a slice of the pepperoni pizza which was good. I started with the Bramble Lama Ding Dong which was like a blackberry margarita and very good! For dessert, I ordered their version of a canneloni with POG filling(?) or was it just passion fruit...either way, it was delicious! It was a very pleasant dinner. I actually came back the next morning for breakfast after my workout. Driving back to the property I was thinking of where to go, and then I just realized, why not just go back to the hotel. Now the order at the counter for breakfast and lunch is great, but for dinner, I would rather have table service. I had a cappuccino, the Greek yogurt cup, and a croissant. The coffee was great! The yogurt hit the spot. The croissant was a disappointment. Perhaps warming it up in an oven would be better since it wasn't flaky at all. The staff is young, some a little green, but friendly. We were staying across the street and went here for pizza and salad. We were greeted very warmly and seated at a booth. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a salad. The pizza came in the shape of a rectangle on a French bread crust, and there was a lot of very tasty pepperoni!! Just enough cheese and sauce!! I would give ZERO stars. I ordered a hot coffee and one Acai Bowl to go, with the 15% hotel guest discount. The coffee was absolutely bitter -- probably the end of the pot. The Acai Bowl was ridiculous for $17. It came in a clear plastic cup that wasn't even filled, leaving plenty of empty space at the top. There was maybe one scoop of acai, three slices of strawberry, two raspberries, and about eight thin banana slices. The granola was the most abundant ingredient. No honey was included either, not even for takeout. I told the girl the portion was way too small, especially for the price. She offered to remake it or refund it. She took it back and returned with an even smaller cup that had basically the exact same pathetic amount of product. I was furious, but I paid my bill and left.
