We celebrated Mother's Day yesterday at Giovanni Pastrami with a party of 18, and we would highly recommend this place! Our server, Ricky, was amazing -- super friendly, helpful, and attentive. Our food came out quick, fresh, and hot, especially impressive with such a large party. The GM, Laurie, was the sweetest! She gave all of us mama's beautiful roses for Mother's Day, which was such a thoughtful touch. She also gave my mom a few special treats made by the manager/chef Marissa herself... but of course the keiki spotted them right away and had to have some Overall, we had such an amazing first experience there, and we'll definitely be back. Mahalos plenty to the whole team for the hospitality! Also, parking was literally one minute away and super convenient -- especially for Waikiki. The valet uncle was right: "...and won't be your last time here."

Day 1 here 5/5 Day 2 here 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Good day 1 5/5, day 2 3/5 You know it's very decent! Close by our resort we stayed and it was just easy. I guess maybe it was Togo. The chicken tender/fingers made the fries soggy, maybe separate the two items when offering Togo. Pizza was 5/5, fried calamari's 5/5 salads 4/5, Overall 4/5! I also saw a live person playing music the second night here! There's a bar area with also sit down dining, nice place near your resort to eat n get Togo! Side note!! Wyndham Waikiki beach walk guests gets 10% discount! Please make sure you mention if you are staying there.

My honey and I wandered in on a leisurely walk through waikiki to catch some play off basketball and were promptly seated at the bar. The portion sizes were good and the food fresh, although the menu was wayyyyy extensive (not sure if that's actually a bad thing, as we're indecisive). That being said, there's something for everyone on the menu, and we'd definitely bring family and friends back for a cold beer and good service. It's super convenient in terms of walking distance form any place in Waikiki, and the crowd was a nice combination of tourists and locals alike.

When you first walk in you notice that this is a cool place to hangout, have a beer, cocktail, or a glass of wine and have some bar food. The service was excellent and she was very helpful in helping us navigate the menu. The meatball sandwich was okay, but really needed a bit more seasoning. The fries were really good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The prices were reasonable for the area. Glad we stopped by.

    Meat lovers pizza. Very good.

Visiting Waikīkī and read about this place. Overall not impressed. Ambiance was lively and place was clean. My wife had the pizza and it was very good. I had the pastrami sandwich and it was very dry. Just meat and bread. The pastrami was overcooked and dry. The server pretty much ignored us the entire time. I had to ask another server to get a refill on our drinks and again when we needed a Togo box for my wife. Because the pizza was so good give them a 3 star, otherwise might have been a two star.

As a weird guy I pulled a weird move. In my slippahs on a holoholo round da streets of Waikīkī my eyes caught the stare of a cookie rack. With no slack, on full attack, I walked into this pastrami joint to confront the pretty little thang eying me down. Fired up marshmallow on the top of a non-shallow cook in a pastram spot. Lotta pastrami round these parts - Is that a Hawaiian thing? Can't be... but must be. I asked in a demanding way whether or not I needed to sit my tail down to cop a cook, the lovely hostess/manager answered my commands to my favor. I picked a cookie to go, my choice - The best in the rack of course... bet ya bottom I left with no remorse. The $7 hole in my pocket was just that... a hole. We move on. My tubby tummy needed a last bit of cook to send me full chubby. Physically I couldn't handle anymore but mentally I'm not as weak. Cookie cake crumble type vibes with nice chocolate and lovely marsh. I left content, and that's all we can ask for in this shell of a world. Formerly dominant and now overrun by the hustle. One day we will return to a life of freedom. I long for AI to take all of our jobs, but will i live to see the day that most of you brainwashed swashbucklers fear? Low 8's type cookie - Better treats in the area but I won't act like this wasn't a noiccce dessert.

Giovanni Pastram, Lewers Street, Waikiki is always a fun stop, and this visit was all about Bloody Marys. Out for a Saturday morning stroll in Waikiki, we were craving a good Bloody Mary and headed to a familiar favorite. I was excited to see they offer four different Bloody Mary options and went with the Pigskin Special, loaded with thick-cut bacon, celery, olives, and extra pickle juice. It did not disappoint. Although we did not eat this time, we had a great seat and saw pizzas, wings, local plate lunches, and deli-style dishes flying out of the kitchen, everything looked solid. The place was pretty full, and our server was also bartending, but she was awesome, kept checking on us, and provided great service. Giovanni Pastrami is great for locals and visitors alike. Pro tip: if you want to watch football here, get in early. If you are in the Lewers Street area and looking for a casual spot with good drinks and a lively sports bar vibe, this is always a good call.

Wasn't planning on going there to eat but we were in Waikīkī and my husband was hungry and we decided to eat here. We were greeted with a friendly host and got seated right away in a booth. I was very pleased that they knew what people would want. We got water served right away while we make our decision what to order. The ambiance was nice and since I went there in the day time I'm sure at night it is spectacular. I menu had a variety of food to choose from like pizza, salad, burgers, and comfort food. The upstairs had a bar and more seating. There was an area upstairs for a band to play. The bath room reminded me of cheese cake factory only disappointment was that it smelled pee and wasn't kept clean like the other stall hand wet toilet paper in the seat. The stall I used smelled pee on the floor and the stationary pad trash was open, the toilet paper was not in holder but outside. Again it could be that they were busy or short handed. The music played while we entered and then it stopped for 15 min. It then returned and the television that played sports; there was no sound. The food my husband ate was good which was the burger and I just ordered soup... it wasn't that hot, the noodles was like spaghetti and not noodles for noodle soup... it did lack taste. But all in all it was a good experience unlike other Resturants I been too. Just needed some improvement on certain things was night time is probably more enjoyable considering the atmosphere and food. Go check them out. I'll probably be back again to eat there.

The service here was alright, nothing special but not terrible either. The food was pretty solid for bar food, I enjoyed my meal. It's a great spot to watch football games, the atmosphere is always lively. Overall, it's a decent place to grab some food and drinks. I would definitely go back again. If you're from out of town this is the place to go for football games!

First off, the hostess is very friendly and will offer recommendations. Don't blow her off, she's the real deal. We were seated promptly and the menu is extensive. There is a bar area up the stairs with multiple tv's. The seating is comfortable and the staff is superb. I'm not sure why the 1 and 2 star reviews were given, but I'm glad we ignored them and came here for lunch. My SIL had the patty melt with macaroni salad. The Mac salad is very mayo based, so if you don't like that, then don't order it. She ordered it medium well, but it did come out between medium rare and medium. She said it was delicious also. My BIL had the spaghetti bolognese which he said was good, but the bolognese was a little too thick for him, as he likes it like marinara. I told him he should've gotten the marinara as the bolognese looked fantastic. My wife got the sky high turkey with onion rings and Russian Dressing on the side. She said the sandwich was excellent with the exception of the toasted bread was a little state. Next time, she'll order it with grilled bread. I got the GP Dip which when it initially arrived, I thought it was lacking some on the amount of meat. I was wrong. There was plenty of meat, the au jus was outstanding and the horseradish aioli was spot on. Overall, it was an excellent sandwich and I would definitely order it again. I did order the onion rings and found that the Russian dressing makes an excellent dip for the onion rings. They definitely don't short you on the rings, which is very nice. We're actually looking at coming back for breakfast. Try this place out and disregard the negative reviews.

Great place for kegs and eggs watching Sunday morning NFL games. The staff is friendly and it seems like they had all the games on tv (the had the Patriots on which is all that mattered). The pastrami reuben was good a the atmosphere was lively.

If you're visiting Hawaii with a big group, 100% recommend taking them here…read more We initially were a party of 16, and showed up without a reservation at 6pm on a Saturday. The staff was super nice about it and was able to accommodate us, with only a small request that we be out by 8pm since there was another big party with a reservation coming in. Absolutely reasonable. They sat us right away at three large tables, which gave us plenty of space for food and didn't force us to sit super close together. Menus, waters, plates, napkins, and forks were all brought out immediately, and our waiter was quick to take our order. We started with the prix fixe menu for 8-10 guests and were going to add other items à la carte, but a handful of our group accidentally went to the other Side Street location (make sure your group is all on the same page), so what we ordered ended up being more than enough. We left stuffed and with 5 boxes of food still. Edamame was nice and steamy, and large enough to easily pop the beans out with your mouth. Wish there was a bit more salt though. The farmer's salad had everything going on from citrusy to salty to crispy. Avocado had a little bit of oxidation but the capers, dressing and potato curls provided plenty of reasons to overlook it. The fried rice came in a hefty portion, with sizable pieces of bacon and sausage. The chicken I didn't realize was boneless based on the shape of the deep fry, but it was nice to freely bite into it without worrying about hitting anything with my teeth. Probably a bit too much on fried bits but still good. Pork chops had a better meat to crisp ratio in my opinion, as well as juiciness. They even came with ketchup on the side, which I love as a pairing but don't see much of at restaurants. My favorite meat item was definitely the sizzling boneless kalbi. The presentation on the sizzling plate with a side of kimchi was spectacular, and the meat was full of flavor. We also ordered yakisoba, which wasn't part of the prix fixe. Tasted good but nothing past standard expectations. We let the waiter know we had a 30th birthday at the table, and they brought a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream with a candle, and did a decent job getting the whole room to participate in the singing. It could also be the type of crowd this place attracts, since it seemed that everyone was so friendly and approachable. Thanks to the quick and consistent service, we were out in a little over an hour with no complaints.
