From the moment we walked in, we loved the atmosphere. The space has a cozy, intimate feel with a unique New York-meets-Tokyo vibe that makes it perfect for date night or a night out with friends. The cocktails were exceptional. My favorite was the Melon Prosciutto--it was refreshing, creative, and unlike anything I've had before. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the flavors and presentation. The food was just as impressive. We visited during oyster happy hour (5-7 PM), which was a great deal, but the standout dish for me was the mussels. They were served in a cotton candy-infused broth that was incredibly unique and absolutely delicious. It's one of those dishes you'll still be thinking about days later. We caught the happy hour oyster special. The oysters were a little on the smaller side and I wish they gave more toppings portions (too little amount was given). Our meals were heavenly, so delicious. We ate the entire dish. Perfect amount. Looks small when you get it, but it's not. I got the sea urchin and salmon roe. I will get this dish a thousand times. I came across this hidden gem recently and decided to give it a try since I usually avoid Waikīkī food scene in general. The ambiance of the restaurant was sophisticated but modern. I normally don't drink but decided to enjoy a cocktail. The Melon and Prosciutto got my eye. And wow what a delicious drink! Sweet and savory with the bite of the prosciutto. The menu of this restaurant was not large but all the dishes were well executed. The oysters were so fresh. Tip: they have daily happy hour special for oysters from 5 pm to 6 pm. If you are an oyster lovers, you won't be disappointed. My buddy and I sampled other appetizers like scallop ceviche and cotton candy mussels. They both blew my mind in terms of presentation and favors. The only thing it would have topped it off was some toasted bread for the leftover broth from the mussels. I didn't want to waste it so I just spooned it off to satisfy my taste bud. It was so yummy. For the entrees, my buddy had Sapporo Ramen. Again, it was full of umami. I had the Wagyu and bone marrow ramen. It was very rich and savory. Just a heads up, this restaurant does not serve dessert but you can find plenty options while in Waikiki. One of my new favorite places in Waikiki! Newly founded by Joji Watanabe, a Japanese mixologist and restaurateur who relocated from NYC where he started NR and ROKC. As the name suggests, they specialize in ramen, oysters, and specialty cocktails. They are most known for their wide selection of clarified milk punches, which were fantastic. We had the Smokey Pina Colada ($18) and Banana & Miso ($18), both fantastic. All of the food was also delicious, including the ramen, scallop ceviche, and pork bun. Underwhelming. Every dish was overplayed to the point of sounding fancy for the sake of it and the ambiance was token at best.
