We had such a great time at Skull & Crown! I ordered the Koloa Colada, and it was perfectly balanced. It tasted clean, well-crafted, and had just the right amount of sweetness to complement the rum. The atmosphere is lively, and it's a popular spot, so reservations are recommended. They also offer a small but varied selection of food options. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ensuring our water glasses were full. Free street parking was a bonus. Would absolutely come back!

We visited on a Friday night, after taking a ride share from Waikiki beach resort area. This restaurant and bar is a full Tiki experience- complete with carefully selected artifacts and decor, treasures and Japanese fish floats and all the brick a Brack you expect to find in an adventure escapism themed bar. A beautiful cast mermaid behind the bar, tiki carvings and a ship wheel and other ocean things. It really creates a mood and atmosphere. There are lighting affects and a low track of midcentury instrumental music you would find at Trader Vic's or Don the Beachcomber. We ordered a few dishes off of the menu, and had two rounds of cocktails. The food was fantastic - every aspect was spot-on. We loved the drinks, and they were very balanced with great bright flavors and over the top garnishes and matching glassware. The team working there is top notch and friendly, both the service manager and our waiter were knowledgeable and welcoming. We loved it here! Make sure you check it out!

This little place is off the beaten tourist path in Chinatown, but has the coolest vibes of any tiki bar I've been to in island. The decor is done right. They hit all the details of spooky and fun. Even the lights flicker to the music and thunder. Great selection of drinks and appetizers. Service was in point, and the place was packed even during the week. My only regret is they didn't have any tiki mugs available for purchase. They had glasses but I would have loved to take home a mug from this place as I collect them....and this place is worth a momento. Apparently they drop them and they are very collectible

We happened upon this establishment while talking a stroll through Chinatown, on Hotel Street. We were looking for somewhere to grab some after dinner drinks & dessert. Don't judge this establishment by the storefront, as you'll need to walk in to really see how they themed the decor with their name. From the sound of storms to the skulls on posts and ship paraphernalia, it was a constant reminder as to where you were. Fun!! The establishment was clean--restroom is always the tell-all. Customer service was great--we never had to wave anyone down for another drink, as someone was always coming by to check in on us. Remember this drink: Crystal Skull (Clarified Zombie) Yum! It wasn't what we were expecting--let's say that we were pleasantly surprised! This drink is presented beautifully--loved the branded ice cube--and the taste and flavors are just smooth & so enjoyable! Definitely a must-try! We ended the evening sharing an Ube Tres Leches and wow--it was truly the perfect way to close out a night of delicious libations and a dessert. I'll be back to try their dinner menu!

Get your reservations now!!!! Loved the pirate ‍ sailor vibe. Super fun cool cocktails! Plates are small but easy to share. Each dish was packed with flavor. The ribs fell off the bone . Lettuce wraps. Am with a sauce I wanted to place in a jar and take home!!! Nachos were so good I wanted another plate. This place is small and good so you probably won't get a table unless you have a reservation!!!!

Skull & Crown Trading Co. is a tiki bar located in the Chinatown area of Honolulu. We made reservations but it was pretty empty on a Wednesday night. The crystal skull ($20) was a clarified drink and was spice forward (mostly cinnamon) but easy to drink. The jaded jungle ($18) was sweet, light, and refreshing. The skull and crown ($40) is their namesake drink that serves two and it was good with hints of absinthe. The dagger mai tai ($20) is a collaboration with Smuggler's Cove in San Francisco consisting of a secret recipe but had fruity berry notes on the front and was spirit-forward on the back. A lot of our drinks had the cinnamon sprinkle over top to give a fire show. There was decor everywhere including a giant woman statue in the middle looking up. Throughout our time here the lights went in and out and spooky music would come on, adding to the ambiance.

Stopped by during our visit to check out this cool fun spot! Cocktails were delicious especially the skull drink. Service was amazing and everyone was so nice. The ambiance is funky and fun! Make reservations to secure your spot but walk ins are acceptable if there is space Did not get to try much of the food

I didn't take all the pics of the food but everything was delicious and fun cocktails! A bit on the pricier side but it's a fun place and had great service.

This place has the best tiki drinks on the island of Oahu!! We were expecting a cool bar with mediocre food, but wow the food was amazing too. We had a large party including kids and had a fantastic time. We went out of our way to go here twice on our vacation. The lettuce wraps and chicken wings were the favorite food items of our group.

The rangoon nachos were excellent and I don't really care for seafood! Not that it was very seafood to begin with. The size of the place is great. It wasn't too crowded on a Wednesday night. We're still glad we had a reservation though. Ordered the Dagger Mai Tai, Lapu Lapu, Bird of Paradise, and Zombie. With the nachos bill was $99. They were all great. I don't know if it's because I had it last, but the Zombie was an Avengers level threat and put me on my butt.

Absolutely worth visiting if you are looking for a fun tiki bar experience with amazing food just outside of Waikiki. I liked everything we tried and the favorite was a tie between the nachos and bolognese (mala flavor was a nice touch). Just a note, the area is a bit sketch but there is a garage nearby across from the Honolulu police station if you are looking for a spot.

Skull & Crown Trading Co was such a fun spot with full-on tiki vibes. The decor is awesome--from the mermaid perched on the back bar to the life-size tiki statue--and the atmosphere feels like an escape. Service was excellent; the team was personable, attentive, and clearly knew their cocktails. Every drink was a hit, especially if you're into tiki-style creations. We've been on the hunt for the best Mai Tai in Oahu, and the Maunakea Mai Tai was our favorite so far. They offer a few versions, but the Maunakea comes closest to the original Trader Vic classic. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Oahu!

This establishment is much more than a tiki bar or rum joint. The drinks are elevated and purposeful with excellent presentation. I can't say I begin to understand the levels because I am no craft bartender but I definitely enjoy sipping on these libations and they pack a punch. The food is so inventive and Laotion which is not something I have had before this restaurant. I love all of the dishes I have had the pleasure of trying. The Lucky Lantern Chicken, the Crab Rangoon Nachos, the Shrimp Skewers, the Shrimp Ceviche, the smashed potatoes of which I cannot remember the name and have such a refreshing taste. The food is for sharing and plentiful per plate. On average when I eat here I leave stuffed and haven't made it to dessert. One day I hope to mention how that part of the menu tastes. To recap, you must try this place and I'll be back!

Are there branded tiki mugs for purchase?

Tiki mugs available on occasion but no bar-specific regular release, more like limited run mugs. Mai Tai Glasses, pins, and shirts more common but when we went they were sold out of everything, so check back often?

Aloha, I'm trying to make a reservation on RESY for January 21, 2023 at 7:00 pm. The RESY site wouldn't let me. Does S &C have another number, besides the one that is not…

It appears they only book out a month in advance. I am not affiliated with the company, but dined there once. That was sort of what I figured out looking at their availability when I made my reservation a few months back.

Can we bring a well behaved 11 year old who's a tiki enthusiast and loves cool dining atmospheres?

Yes - S&C is a restaurant as well, and welcomes kids! Happy to serve a mocktail for them as well!

Can we get a drink at the bar without a reservation?

It is possible to get a drink at the bar if there are no standing reservations and there are seats available. However, if there are reservations for the seats within the hour, those seats are unavailable.

Is food served all day? I have a reservation today at 7pm and wanted to have dinner there as well.

Tuesday - Thursday, food is served from open to 8PM; Friday and Saturday, until 9PM. Food is from… Read more

Are they taking only reservations or can we just walk-in?

You can technically walk in, but the place is tiny and you should definitely make reservations if you want to get in.

Can we take our 17 year old there? Do you serve food?

    Yes and yes

Chat gpt recommended this place and I have to say the AI was right! The place is really fun. You can park downstairs and they valet Park you and they will stamp you for free parking. The atmosphere is a fun vibe. They had live music. It's a indoor outdoor place. One thing to note, they don't serve their lunch menu after 4:00 so we went there expecting burgers and they don't serve them. So we kind of stayed reluctantly. I ended up ordering the guava ribs and my wife got them too. Those had to be the best ribs I think I have ever had! They literally fall off the bone as you're trying to pick up the meat. One of the reasons we wanted to go here was we wanted the options of seafood but one of our adults doesn't like seafood and they said that they had all kinds of stuff, which they do. Our server Maka, was incredible. He brings us out a free appetizer and said that was from the chef. I don't know if it was the chef or him but I was impressed and it was good. It was some kind of little fried dumpling. It was awesome! One of the people in our party had thought he was not going to order something and I gave him one of my ribs and after he tasted it, suddenly he wanted some too. I grabbed Maka and asked him If he could get those ribs fast because the rest of us were already halfway through our meals. He got right on it and had that order in. The ribs came out just in time and everybody was happy. It ended up being one of the nicest meals that we had the whole week. We were here and it was a great way to end our vacation here in Hawaii.

All this to say, Tiki's is a must if you're walking down Waikiki! There's also FREE 3-hour parking downstairs when you visit. Tom told us of the daily happy hour from 2-5 and late night, and occasionally live music! Original visit (2021): We left the beach in search of a cool place to grab a bite and enjoy some beers! Tiki was the perfect spot! Our wait was short and our food came out quick! Our bartenders Marteen (sp?) and Kama not only provided excellent service, but were a pleasure to talk to! We had the Ahi Poke, the French Dip Sandwich and the Kalua Pig BBQ Sandwich. The BBQ sandwich came out on a taro bun and smothered in guava BBQ! It was our favorite! Forgot to snap a pic before devouring our food, but if you find yourself in the area it's a must stop!

Tiki's used to do happy hour specials so I was hoping Cuckoo Coconuts would be similar, but our server said sadly, no happy hour prices here. Full price cocktails it will be then! They are a bit on the higher side but I do feel like they give you your drink's worth--there's enough alcohol to feel like you're drinking a cocktail, not just a slushy. My chi-chi was tasty, although not as coconutty or creamy as I thought it might be. My friend enjoyed her $26 pina colada in a pineapple shell, and the presentation was great, with the top on the pineapple and a little paper umbrella. My husband got an Amaretto sour and it was good. Live musicians were tuning up while we were here and there's a decibel reader nearby, presumably because it may get loud here. Nice place to go if you want a tiki-style drink in a casual environment. I will say that I am going to miss Tiki's Meeting Spot's happy hour prices and I can't do $17 cocktails all too often.
