It's been years since I've visited...in a previous era of my life when I used to come here after a nightclub drunken fest. My friends used to like this place because we wouldn't leave smelling like heavy BBQ unlike other "cook your own meat places." I came with friends after the Maoli concert to get our grind on and after many years I was pleasantly surprised to see not much has changed (in a good way). The menu seemed a bit more limited than what I remembered but it was still quality (especially the meats). I enjoyed the variety of sides and starches. The hot plate has Mac and cheese and corn and cheese in the side compartments which melts when the plate fires up. Everything was flavorful and service was good except my request for sesame seed oil and gotchujang was never brought to the table. We didn't park there (Ubered) but saw there is valet parking available. It was enjoyable to revisit this place again.

Not bad at all. Great deal for what you get. A step up in quality from Gen in my opinion. The meat quality was good and sauces were very good too. Service was excellent as well and we were well attended to. Tip. Don't bother with the steak. It is tough, takes long to cook, and is not worth wasting too much of your calories on it. The thin sliced meats were the best. Get some lettuce and make a lettuce wrap with your favorite meat and some kim chee. yum. Overall a great experience and good value for your money.

Grills have side sections for mac and cheese, corn cheese, and egg custard that all cook while you're grilling!

Best AYCE kbbq on island! Sura has a great selection of meats and side dishes (which I feel Gen is lacking in). The only downside is that service can be slow and often leads to us not being able to eat as much since we have to wait between rounds. However, because of the various side dishes and ability to make reservations for parties of any size, I always opt for Sura over Gen. Parking is valet only and is $5 cash or Venmo - don't park in the public pay lot across the street or they'll make you move your car!

I was hoping to like Sura a lot more than I did. The service was great and love the ring of cheese corn, steamed egg, and mac&cheese. The meat was not as flavorful as other kbbq I have dined at. There is a sides bar (the cucumber kimchi was the BEST) but it is limited. Wish they had more 'traditional' sides or more variety. Overall, I would want to try more kbbq places on Oahu before coming back here

I treated my brother here for his bday. This place is great! Lively and I love how they flick the lights on and off to loud music for your bday. We ordered their beef brisket and pork belly. Love how their skillets come with mac and cheese and cheesy corn. We also ordered an appetizer of their chicken karaage and seaweed soup. We left this place feeling stuffed! Parking is a bit tricky here but they do have valet parking. Service was good.

I love how easy it is to make a reservation for Sura with Opentable, most KBBQ on island don't let you and its a wait. I took a friend from outta town here and they loved it. Its a good option to choose in between price and quality. I wish they had tongue but I'll settle for kalbi and brisket. Just found out this last time that they will refill your cheese corn and mac n cheese, definitely enjoyed that! FYI the mac n cheese is so good because its actually mac salad and cheese. For all you can eat its a good deal if you're looking for a good bang for your buck.

FOOD/PRICE -- All-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spot located right across the convention center. The menu is very limited if you only come here for beef, about four choices (brisket, bulgogi, kalbi, steak) but those meats are good, for the most part. Brisket, kalbi, and bulgogi are amazing. Steak was underwhelming. Hard to chew. $31.99 per person. $34.99 for solo dining. 1.5 hour time limit. All of their drinks are non-refillable, except for water. A can of soda is $3. Everything else is $7+. I always love their lychee flavor stuff, including the lychee iced tea and the lychee capri soju. I do like that soups and bibimbap are included in the AYCE price, because in other AYCE KBBQ spots in the area, those items are additional charge. The mac & cheese w corn; and corn & cheese sides on the grill are unique to this AYCE BBQ spot too. SERVICE -- What I like best about this place is their late-night hours, which is open until 2am. Though, their wait time is super long, which is around 30 minutes every time. Reserve your seat ahead of time online to avoid the hassle. Service is decent. Quick to serve meat orders. Recently, they introduced a system in which sides and sauces are now self-serve. I found it a bit chaotic for my liking because it could get crowded really easily, and that you may have to make multiple trips to be able to hold all of your sides and sauces, if you are taking some for the rest of your table. AMBIANCE -- The ambiance is a bit dark, which can be difficult to cook and look around if you don't have perfect vision. Less smokey than other places. There are scribbles of permanent markers everywhere throughout the whole restaurant, which is part of their aesthetic. I think that the vulgar language on the walls are cheeky, ***BUT PLEASE CHECK YOUR WALLS FOR RACIAL SLURS***!!! That is a bad look on you for keeping it on there. PARKING -- Parking is very limited in the area. Look for parking elsewhere. Review for service received on August 6, 2025.

Great meats fun a little work but all worth it !! Classic Korean bbq all done up like graffiti vibe perfect for 2 people or 10 . Packed make a reservation.

The best Korean bbq ever! Their marination for the meats are so good!! As far as the sides.. the Mac and edamame were my favorite! The kimchi was rlly acidic. The service was fast and good. The place was big & spacious between each table. They have rlly cool graffiti walls! I saw other reviews of food or oil popping onto people, but we're cooking it ourselves so just beware! I didn't have this problem so don't let those reviews get to you!

Janey T.

This is the perfect spot for KBBQ especially since they close late. My boyfriend made reservations for 8:00pm but weren't seated till 8:45. Other than the wait, everything is was great. The service was quick, the food was amazing! I would highly recommend coming here and also try to make an appointment since it may be a long wait if not.

CLOSED and not updated on YELP. You're welcome.

The worst first time experience ever visiting Hawaii. Drove by here a few days ago and checked Yelp and food looks great so we decided to stop by today after visiting the temple. However, If your restaurant is closed why not update your business hours if you're complete closed? I'm a restaurant owner myself. It only take 30 seconds to update your hours. Horrible management.

This is one of the AYCE where your money is worth. Good food, they give pretty good amount of serving unlike other places. Good service, they're all attentive, you don't need to chase a service crew to place your order.

Ask the Community - Sura Hawaii

Do they have takeout?

Yes

Is it all you can eat?

Yes

Is it all you can eat?

Yes.

You take reservations?

Yes they do on open table ! U have to secure with a credit card !

Where do you park?

They have parking in the back, on kapiolani in the small lot, or valet.

Why are prices never listed? It would save a lot of people time.

Probably because the price of meat is always changing. It wouldn't make sense to have a menu with prices that change every couple of months

Is the lunch menu different from the dinner menu? Usually, all you can eat places charge less for lunch but dinner has more options. I went online and it looked the same.

Is it all you can eat?

Yes! When I dined in ! it's delicious !!! Big groups are fun !!!!

Do they still take reservations now?

They do now! I called in to make a reservation today.

What time is last seating? When is the latest I can order take out?

The seating varys I went in a big group of 20 ppl so it's limited. Best to call and make reservations or you'll wait outside. Food is delicious!!!!!

Where's the parking?

They only have valet parking. Turn right from Kapiolani (going Ewa bound) just before the building. Valet immediately on your left.

Is it a Byob?

Yes. Monday thru Thursday.

Happy hour times and days?

Happy Hour is everyday from 10:30pm till closing (2am)

Is the taste or service different from the Kapolei store?

I personally think the service is a lot better than the Kapolei location.

Is there a happy hour? If so what time is it?

Yes, they do have a daily happy hour. It runs from 10:30pm til close. It is not the best happy hour but none the least a small discount on food.

What type of dipping sauce do you guy serve for the meat?

They have soy and a sesame oil with salt.

Is the parking free or paid?

Parking is free in their designated parking lot on Kapiolani Blvd. Look for the Sura sign in front of the lot.

Do they include the same delicious beef meat they used to include in the combo, such as premium etc. in their all you can eat menu now?

If you're talking about the rib eye, I was told the "premium meat" is the same. But I doesn't taste the same ;(

Is this place all you can eat?

It is now.

Do they take Apple Pay?

I'm afraid we do not accept Apple Pay as of yet. However, the situation may change in the near future!

Walking in, it was dark, cozy, smelling delicious and it was Full House. We were seated quickly with servers that were friendly & fast. We picked the menu option on page 1, $77 per person lunch set menu that includes 4 types of meat, steam eggs, kimchi pancake, different dipping sauces; including bean paste dipping sauce and raw garlic slices and abundant Banchan little appetizer dishes. The meats were fresh and tasty. The spicy cold noodles were refreshing, and all the Banchan little dishes offered lots of varieties and refillable. You know this place is authentic when you have bean paste dipping sauce and raw garlic slices. They are not trying to tailor to westerners. The grill was hot, the meat was sizzling and the food kept coming. We ate as much as we can, and there were so much food, at the end. We were about to explode. We ordered a spicy squid with kimbab, chive jeon, and an extra bowl of rice to share. The spicy squid was not spicy, but had a smokey depth. I drenched the kimbab in that sauce and it was easily the best thing I tried here. The chive jeon was extra crispy and packed with veggies. We easily agreed that we need to come back with a few more people, so we can either share the army stew or joxxam dish. Thanks for reading my reviews! Let me know what I should try next!

I really enjoy the Korean comfort foods! 4 stars for the food, soups, and ban chan, 5 stars if the service was great. Typical service you will get at a Korean spot but no complaints. Just gotta be patient for ban chan refills or if you need anything else, I don't expect much just happy that I get to have my Korean food. During this recent Saturday visit, I decided to go here for our late lunch, after hiking Koko Head Trail & Makapuu. It was about 4:30 pm, we were the only ones there, but it filled up pretty quick an and they do have many take out and Uber/Door Dash orders. My favorites here are the combo set, choice of soondubu (combination, kim chee, spam, beef, sausage, clam,) & either meat jun, fried mandoo, bulgogi, yellow corvina, seafood jun, or BBQ chicken. The combo use to be $20.55 my first time but now went up to $23.55, hence the increase, it is still a great deal, this meal comes with rice and 5 different ban chan. This combo was more than enough for the both of us. My favorite is the spam soondubu ( yes. who picks Spam right?! hehe) & the seafood Jun. Although it so hard to decide since all the choices are good, I will have to visit again for the other selection. The other half and I cannot eat an entire combo set by ourselves. I love the ban chan, especially the daikon & kim chee, so fresh and crispy! When I first dined here, I was surprise to see they give you a fresh egg to crack in your soondubu soup, I am use to the egg already in there. We always have leftover soondu soup which I take home and add to my Korean ramen the next day, so good!
