Been here a few times already. The Kimchi Stew is my go to dish. They give free side of kimchi and radish- and they will offer refill. Clean restaurant, average prices. Good service. Definitely a good place to keep in you rotation of dinner spots.

I came here 3 years ago when they first opened and didn't have a yelp page. I returned here and was glad to see them still here. This restaurant is attached to Azure condominiums. They serve classic Korean food with simplicity. The service is always quick and friendly. I tried the seafood kalguksu. It wasn't the best I had, but after eating hawaiian food for a week, it really hit the spot and fulfilled my korean food craving. The restaurant is small and has many takeout orders. Very close to Ala Moana mall.

This type of restaurant is my jam! Very casual with good selection of tasty Korean comfort foods at around $20 each entree! Wasn't crowded at around 8pm on a Wednesday night. Also, BYOB. Staff was very cool and chill, too. Definitely would go back!

Parking is available in the Azure Building on Keeaumoku St. We wanted to try someplace new to us. We've been on a hunt for places that are small and intimate that are not too pretentious. Ireh Restaurant is very welcoming and warm. We were shown a table near the window and were told away from the air conditioning. The menu is simple and enough choices to make it difficult for us to choose. We decided on a soup and rice plate and chose Yukgaejang aka Hangover soup and Bulgogi Bibimbap. The soup was good and the Bibimbap was good. My dining partner asked where the beef was? I agree, they could have used a bit more. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will return.

We love ireh! They have different dishes from other Korean like Kong guksu! I had their mul naengmyeon which was so refreshing with the plentiful serving of daikon and cucumbers. My husband had their green noodle and he enjoyed it with the vinegar and mustard. My son had their mochi & mandoo soup

Amazing service & food!! We were greeted and seated right away! We ordered the Kimchi Seafood Pancake, Cold Buckwheat Noodles with side Kalbi, and Yukgaejang. It came with banchan (kimchi & onions/daikon). We honestly ordered way more than we could eat, but that just meant leftovers for another day. The kalbi was worth it to add on! The Kimchi Seafood Pancake was delicious and the sauce was a little salty so I didn't put too much on it and it was so good! We'll definitely be back!

Really love the rice cake and mandoo soup. It's a bit of a small place but there's hardly any people there. The service was great. They gave us some tea and water when we first walked in. The food came out fast and was delicious. Another great Korean restaurant to go to in Hawaii

This was my first time visiting the "new" location on Keeammoku and I really enjoyed it! As of right now parking is free in the building and it's super easy to get down to the businesses. Inside the restaurant was very nice and modern. It wasn't too busy around 7pm on a Wednesday night so we were seated immediately. We ordered the tteokbokki with cheese, kimchee fried rice, and the spicy buckwheat noodle and kalbi combo. The spicy noodles were perfectly seasoned with a nice kick. The Kalbi ended up being my favorite for the night as it was well marinated and very tender! The tteokbokki was also very tasty and the kimchee fried rice was as well. I'd definitely go back again when I'm craving a comforting korean meal.

I have been to Ireh countless times, ever since their original location on Keeaumoku St. Their food has always been consistently good. The service is friendly and pretty attentive. The space within the establishment is clean but also homey. My partner and I usually always get the meat jun and seafood pancake, with another item that changes dependent on the visit. We usually get heir Yaekjang but we decided to try their cheesy pork tteokkbokki as I was craving it. Unfortunately, it was just not for my taste. When we were ordering, I asked our waiter if the base of this tteokkbokki has everything that the other dishes have (fishcake, veggies, tteok, egg, etc) and he was able confirm that. However when we started to eat, we realized that it was missing fishcake and egg. I didn't want to be bothersome but it definitely didn't help with the experience. It was very flavorful but I do feel like the pork was really fatty and didn't pair well with everything. I would say, if you're craving tteokkbokki, the cheese may not be the way to go. I feel that cheesy tteokkbokki would be better with a rose, creamy base. Our kimchi also tasted off this day we visited, my partner suspects that they added rice wine in the ingredients of the kimchi, which created a "chemically" aftertaste. Although this experience doesn't dimmish the spot that ireh was occupied in my heart, it definitely falters it just a bit.

Darn. Had to drive around few times and asking two parking attendants at the nearby business. It is so easy after the fact. 1st floor of the nice hotel. Park at the multi story garage and down to 1st. Super clean restroom on 2nd floor. It is a mom and pop type but very clean and modern compared to similar types of eatery. Most dishes are priced at around $20. However, quality and quantity built in. Lots of options and most appears to be unique. The two dishes we got, I have been eyeing on it before I even got to Hawaii. Overall, clean, good service and wholesome. Definitely will ne back. Thank you Jina. And yes, we did stop by few days later.

3.5 stars I came here with a craving for yukgaejang, and this place popped up on Yelp. They also serve meat jun, which is a Korean dish unique to Hawaii. There was plenty of metered parking, and arriving for a late weekday lunch, I was pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant was 70% full, mostly with Korean customers, all Korean employees --a great sign! The food was good. The yukgaejang was packed with vegetables, although I would have preferred a bit more meat. The meat jun was fine, but since it's not my favorite dish, I'm not the best judge. I really enjoyed the kimchi. Overall, it's a solid Korean restaurant, but there wasn't anything particularly unique that would make me rush back right away.

One of the older Korean food establishments on Keeaumoku Street. We have been coming since the old location. This was our second time to the new spot. Their menu has changed throughout the years. Service was really good. They keep refilling our tea and checking on us. Food was pretty decent. Place was clean and well kept. Only humbug is the bathroom is upstairs.

First off, all the complimentary banchan (Korean side dishes). From the classic kimchi, fishcake, cucumber kimchi, and radish. If you're doing take out, they still give you all of the banchan!v We did dine-in but take out / online orders seemed popular. But I loved dining in because of the Ajumma here! She was so sweet and funny, and even made the perfect bite (radish kimchi on top of the meat jun, so the acid offsets the oily fried jun) and fed it to my boyfriend LOL. We got a ton of food! The seafood soondabu soup, seafood korean pancake, seafood bibimbap, meat jun, and zucchini jun. We had a lot of leftovers that we took home. The food was good but it's really the service and love that makes this a 5-star experience.

The tofu was silky soft and fresh, soaking up all the flavor from the broth. The lunch set is a great value--you get soondubu bubbling hot, rice, and banchan that were all solid and well-seasoned. Portions were filling without being heavy, which makes it an ideal lunch option. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out fast even during lunch hours. This is definitely one of those places you crave when you want something warm, satisfying, and comforting. I'll absolutely be back for this again.

The premium AYCE option is around $60 per person, which would be reasonable if the quality matched the price. Unfortunately, it doesn't. We're from the Bay Area and have been to countless Korean BBQ restaurants with significantly better meat quality for the same price or less. To make matters worse, even at the highest-priced AYCE tier, fountain drinks aren't included. What really left a bad impression was the automatic 20% gratuity. Our group consisted of two separate parties of three people each. We were seated together at one large table with two grills, but we had separate bills, ordered different AYCE meats option, didn't share food, and made that CLEAR before ordering. The menu states that automatic gratuity applies to parties of five or more, yet we were still charged because we happened to sit together. Had we known this was their policy, we would have chosen another restaurant or sat at different areas of the restaurant. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because our servers were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions about the menu and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Unfortunately, when we brought the gratuity issue to the manager, he insisted we were one large party despite us being separate parties with separate orders and separate checks. At the end of the day, the only difference was that we happened to be sitting at the same table. Overall, the service from the staff was great, but the overpriced food, disappointing meat quality, and questionable gratuity policy make it hard for me to recommend this place.

The meat is reasonably high quality, the banchan is generous (the last few times I went they even had poke as a banchan included with the meal), and the service is friendly. The "kimchee soup" is one of my favorite kimchee jjigaes on the island. Refills of meat flow generously out of the kitchen, unlike some other AYCE experiences where each subsequent order gets smaller and smaller until they finally cut you off because you've reached the time limit. I only have one gripe. While each table has a very powerful burner for grilling the meat, their universal approach is to prop up a tilted cast iron plate over the fire to grill on. It's propped at an angle so that the oil flows into a catch pan on the side. This usually means that the half of the plate tilted closer to the fire gets really hot, while the other half struggles to get hot enough and risks just boiling your meat. It also makes adjusting the fire a tricky process - if there's a lull between meats coming to your table, someone might come by and, understandably, turn down your flame. That's fine, but when the food does come out, it takes a long time to get the cast iron hot again. This doesn't stop me from coming back for more here, but just one thing I wish was better about an otherwise great experience. There is a parking lot out front but it is cramped and usually fills up. There is usually someone helping to guide parking, but when it's completely full there's only so much they can do. Street parking in the area can also be a little bit tricky.

This place makes their soondae in house as I can tell the difference with frozen soondae and non-frozen ones. Until I go to Korea to try the real thing, this is the best I can get. The aunties here are still very nice but as always give grace because it does get busy here and one aunty would have to take care of multiple tables and party size as well. Overall I'll be coming here whenever I need my soondae fix!! If you haven't tried, definitely come and try! I still need to try the acye here with friends one day!
