The food is amazing I love the seafood pancake and the Wagyu set. Service is great, very friendly awesome service. Ambiance is lively great for family or dates.

Mediocre food for premium price, not worth it. We've much better KBBQ in Honolulu for half the price! Should have known when we were the only customers during peak dinner time.

We walked in without reservations at about 5 pm on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. The staff were friendly, efficient and came and went frequently. After we ordered, they were nice enough to relocate us to a bigger table, due to the big back order we placed. We came in feening for intestines after not having anything of this style on island, like we've had in Los Angeles or Korea. We also got a side order of pork jowl, mandoo and yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and honestly, it was too much food. Ajumma cooked all the intestines for us, and towards the end you can choose to do fried rice or noodles. We saved some of the intestines and pork jowl to mix it into the fried rice. Both of these hit. Max joy. The only let down was the yukhoe (Korean beef tartare). It was still partially frozen, which is fine, but it just lacked seasoning. The main attraction is the intestines so this is an easy pass Overall, would definitely come back for the intestines and definitely late night with soju.

Right next to Femme Nu. Few parking stalls right in front of the restaurant. Menu is a little pricey but the portion sizes were decent. 2 meat portions were enough for me and another person. They do give side vegetables. Quality of the meat was excellent. You can tell you're getting what you're paying for. Service was excellent. Staff helps cook and serve in the beginning. The restaurant wasn't too smoky. I didn't feel like I smelled like the restaurant coming out. Open late, which is a plus. I will be back!

Big let down. Big fan of kbbq and went to try since they opened down 10 min walk from where we live. And they "specialize" in gopchang. They did a new opening since the old kbbq, and the old tables and chairs remain with stained cushions, greasy tables, and it just felt like an old space inside and they just put in tables. Oh, we got an egg-crusted spoon. Still to this day, I don't get how they miss this. Service was subpar, the waiter would dab up his buddies then serve us, went to his buddies tables, etc. inconsistent. The female staff was great checking in and cutting our meat, etc as they normally do. As pictured, that's a $43 beef brisket, normally a cheap cut of meat for kbbqs. They stuck "prime" in there and there was nothing prime about this. Chewy and didn't taste at all fresh. Onions and other vegetables? Look like a neglected dried up vegetables in my fridge. They didn't cut the end of the onion off, so when I flipped it the other end was pointy (falling rose petal emoji) Big intestine has a funky taste, which when cleaned thoroughly it's not supposed to have. Inconsistent cook, and honestly exudes greed from this place. Checking off places to not visit in Oahu. So far the number one contender is the Hangang kbbq and it doesn't even come remotely close. You go to kbbq for good food, convenience, and vibes. I'd rather have kbbq at home than come here again.

Moon Korean BBQ is a late night KBBQ restaurant on Kapiolani Blvd, across from the 24Hr location. It was my first time going and I liked the lively atmosphere and quick service to get seated. Their signature Intestine special was unique and had rare cuts of meat like small and large intestines. We ordered their medium size, which comes with 3 choices of meat, assorted banchan, and an option at the end to do fried rice or chaphagetti noodles. It looks small, but because intestines are rich and fatty, the 3 of us couldn't finish it all. I would say 4 people would be the right amount for the intestine special! Overall, I thought the food was good. It can get pricey, expect about $40/person. A great late night option for KBBQ.

Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... Moon Korean BBQ is a hot new business! It's clean and modern inside with a private party room and convenient restroom. There are free parking stalls right outside the restaurant on Kapiolani Boulevard (near the Convention Center). Service was efficient and helpful. My friend wanted to order takeout for her sister, so the server came back and took the order later on the portable charge card machine. I got the Lunch Special Combo: LA Kalbi with cold noodles. Maybe I should have gotten bulgogi instead of kalbi because it had an oddly tart taste. The noodles were good and chewy! This was a good experience except for the loud music. The air conditioning was much appreciated!

Jjapaghetti at the end. You add it to the order and they'll give it to you at the end on the grill. Yum

Finally an authentic gopchang kbbq place in Hawaii!!! This place is legit, authentic Korean gopchang style, ambiance with excellent service. Food was absolutely delicious!! The steam egg was made perfectly and not too salty. My toddler really liked it. The kimchi was so delish we asked for a refill! We got the Medium size gopchang combo: Small intestine, large intestine, and tripe. Served with garlic, pineapples, enoki and king trumpet mushrooms, and thick slices of potatoes all prepared on the grill, you just wait for it to all cook and eat together. Next time, we are trying their other meats and stew dishes!!

This place is legit good! They give generous serving of everything down to the ban Chan! Crazy pricey for everything tho. $30plus for each meat entree and the sides for for an average of $14. The old saying goes you get what you pay for and the quality of the meets were good and the chef did a great job of preparing the food. Even the seafood pancake was excellent chock full of squid and Korean green onion as well as red peppers. There was a surprise jalapeño peppers in there so beware. We rolled up at about 5pm on a Friday but the parking can be tight cuz it's located right next to a strip club and you have to share the parking with their customers. Nevertheless. This place was CLEAN and no crazy Smokey air or greasy floors. The food came out quick and the service was super friendly!

Service is above and phenomenal here!! I love how they cut the meats for you, and they even grill the fried rice for you. I like how the meats come pre-70% cooked before they bring it out to grill in front of you. The banchan is very good and the fried rice at the end is amazing!! Water is filtered, which I love. They have parking in the front and the back. There are a lot of tables and this is good for a late night spot to eat vibe. This tastes very authentic Korean. In addition, the workers speak Korean and English. The ice cream is very tasty as well.

A perfect late night spot...located across the street from 24 hour fitness and in front of Femnu on Kapiolani blvd. We called in ahead of time and they were able to accommodate our party of 10 and we arrived at 10:30pm. We were greeted warmly and immediately received water for the table. Drink orders were put in right away as we perused the menu. A really good friend of mine is an expert orderer and I'm glad we went with her picks. My favorite part of Korean BBq is the banchan. We were practically fighting over the kimchi it was that good. The rest of the banchan was just as delicious, fresh, and authentically prepared. Let's talk about the pancake most people would go with the kimchi pancake but we tried the crispy, cheesy potato pancake dipped in the sauce provided and it's golden. The yakiniku meat selection was excellent. Every cut we tried was tender and full of flavor. You could really taste the quality. Moving on to the pork soup this is a must try that's all I'll say. The place is clean and nicely lit, I love a place that's jumping and seems like everyone is happy enjoying their meal. I look forward to trying more on the menu.

Liked the variety of Banchan side dishes. Got the LA Kalbi lunch special with cold noodles. Great!

The right way to do Kbbq.

As a half Korean that eats better than a full Korean, this is my new go to spot for Korean bbq, especially when it comes to samgyeopsal (pork belly). It's cooked on a lid so all the fat drippings make their way onto the bean sprouts, kimchi and other vegetables. It reminds me of Korea. You'll just have to check it out for yourself.

After reading some of…read morethe reviews I was little hesitant to go but I decided to give them a try anyway and boy was I disappointed....sorry to say that if a place like Yummys can do better better than you then it's probably a problem. The quality of the plate was well below standard for myself and it all started with the service. They aunty behind the counter just seemed like she didn't wanna be there and it showed, after ordering my plate she quickly asked for my sides (banchan) and if it wasn't the skimpiest amount of veggies put on the plate... Like they were on their last amount of vegetables or something, mind you that there were mounds of banchan left, most places won't hesitate to give you a hefty amount of banchan to accompany your mean and this place sadly doesn't, and with prices north of $20 a plate, you would expect a little more. To top it all off, the Bqq chicken I ordered that day was the dryest chicken I've ever experienced and a Korean BBQ restaurant. They are located in the manoa marketplace a couple of doors down from Safeway, if your craving Korean food in the area, do yourself a favor and make drive to town. I will not be returning to this spot unless some drastic changes are made...

The food was really good, and I would definitely recommend the bossam if you're with a group. The meat is super soft and flavorful, and even the half order was a generous portion. The chicken was okay, but not something I'd order again. The spicy sauce was drenched all over the chicken and was very spicy. The regular crispy chicken didn't have enough salt for me and was overcooked.

My fiance and I particularly enjoyed the beef tongue, marinated galbi, and the marinated finger beef. My noodles came quickly and then the banchan. Unfortunately I finished my noodles before my husbands dish arrived. It finally did come out, sizzling and he started eating. Our server didn't check back on us once. She was eating her lunch and waiting on the tables with the BBQs. We had to wave at her a bunch of times to ask for a refill of 1 side dish and when she finally came over she said a bunch of not so friendly Korean things to me and then stormed off. A few minutes later she came back with the side dish and sort of flung it at us. We won't be back. The service was terrible and the food just okay. I really don't like the taste of their cold noodles but Choi's Garden closed down last month and Yu Chun has the same problem with surly servers who can ruin a meal. Come on. Korean restaurants can do better in Honolulu. We don't always feel like BBQ so treat those of us who don't order the meat spread with a little more respect. Plus, we are seniors who don't like food being flung at us and being yelled at in Korean. We still tip 22% for almost all dining out, but I think we will need to be more selective in the future. What has happened to dining out lately. It is a sad statement that one is treated like that when eating out is so expensive and becoming a luxury for a lot of us. I hope their management cares about their service ratings.

I would not recommend eating somewhere where you're made to feel like an inconvenience. My soon do bu tofu soup was literally thrown onto the table, causing some of it to spilt over on the side. We were not given enough chopsticks, and when we asked for straws because the ones we had broke, his attitude became even worse. He started slamming things around, and when we tried to get his attention, he clearly heard us, laughed, said something under his breath and walked away. Thankfully, the other person working with him came over and helped us. At that point, I couldn't even enjoy my food because of how uncomfortable and unwelcome we felt.
