I went here today for lunch and ordered their lunch specials. They have options where meats already cooked or you can cook it yourself on the grill. We ordered combo lunch special that comes with bulgogi, bbq chicken, and Kalbi. We also ordered their meat chun, grilled yellow corvina, tofu soondubu, and their Korean purple rice with beans and pumpkin. Everything was delish and it was a lot of food!

Good quality food served here with very friendly staff. We had a meal set which included a stone pot rice with many treasures, bulgogi and tofu soup, along with some individual orders of meat jun and stone pot bi bim bap. We did not have yakiniku, but that looked popular many of the other tables. There is a smoke sucker at each table to remove the grease and cooked food smell. Parking is available in their lot, but was quite full the evening we were there.

The meat quality here is really solid. We got the combo for two, and it was the perfect amount. Usually at other places the portions feel small, but here it was just right. The brisket was tender and flavorful, and the marinades on all the meats were perfectly balanced. You can tell they really care about their cuts and seasoning. The only area that could use some improvement is the banchan and service. The side dishes were average, and getting a server's attention was a bit of a challenge. Still, the food itself definitely makes this spot worth coming back to. If you're here for the meat, you'll leave happy.

My partner has been wanting to try this spot out for a while, he said has visited for their yakiniku a long time ago but haven't gone back since. We finally got the chance to try it out so we made our way here before their dinner rush. They have a pretty large parking lot just to themselves but it does fill up pretty quickly when it gets to dinner time. Upon arrival we were seated quickly and given menus. After we ordered the LARGE variety of banchan's arrived at the table, I was literally marveling at it when the waitress wheeled it all out. We ordered: - Hot stone bibimbap: 8/10 My partner really wanted to try this and it was very fun to eat and flavorful. It also came with seaweed soup which I happily gulped up. - Seafood Pancake: 10/10 probably the best seafood pancake I've had. Perfectly crispy and packed with ingredients (so not doughy at all). - Meat Jun: 9/10 Solid meat jun. It came with rice as well. It didn't come with the typical meat jun sauce so it wasn't hitting as much as it could've. The portion was also on the smaller side especially compared to the seafood pancake or other spots I've been to. Overall, I would really recommend this spot. I'm not sure how worth it is their yakiniku as we didn't get any but plenty of people were grilling up meats. The yakiniku seems to be a bit on the pricier side so order at your own discretion. I would definitely recommend their seafood pancake and I would love to come back again to try other dishes and experience banchan heaven again.

This is one of my favorite KBBQ on the island! Mostly locals eat here and the meat quality are better than majority of the KBBQ restaurants in the area. Best kimchi as well and spicy! The grill hot plates always fresh since they're being replaced several times for the duration of our time ate there. I love the short ribs. The place was snug and cozy, service was efficient hence little bit slow. I would recommend.

Food is standard restaurant quality Korean fare but when there is left over dish detergent in the tea cups and soup bowls - yuck- therefore 3 stars my pet peeve is when dishes are not properly rinsed or when restaurants smell like pine sol or when tortillas are wrapped in suaveltel scent towels -

This places deserves more stars. Food is delicious and relatively affordable for how much you get. Our entire meal was about $150 for 5 people. Super reasonable. Food: SO GOOD! My favorite is their seafood pancake. I love seafood pancake and have had it at many restaurants, but theirs is the best. It's tasty, crispy, chewy and packed with green onions and other things. Get their marinated kalbi... thst was really Yummy too though a little chewy. Bibimbap was solid. The only thing I wouldn't get again is the kimchee stew. It was too salty. Instead, I suggest ordering their seaweed soup. It's AMAZING! Best seaweed soup I've ever had. So flavorful. Service: decent, not amazing. Our serve was good but sometimes forgot about us/didn't check on us enough. Though he didn't offer to bring my toddler a small seaweed soup, which was super nice. There are a ton of tables here and they even have a back area. The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks from the street.

Food was great, service was fantastic! We ended up meeting friends that were already there so they ordered a bunch of food for us ahead of time. The whole set up was waiting for us when we arrived.

Still absolutely love this place! One of the best spots with reasonable prices. I came here for a friend's birthday, and they were able to accommodate our big party since we reserved in advance. We ordered the skirt steak, beef tongue, and brisket--everything was delicious! The meal comes with a variety of side dishes, salad, and rice, and the best part? You can always ask for refills. We also got the seafood and kimchi pancake, which was amazing! Service was excellent--super attentive and always making sure our water glasses were full. Overall, a fantastic spot to enjoy great food and a fun time with friends. Highly recommended!

This is our favorite Korean food spot!! We tell all our friends and family about this place too. Service is always fast and the food fresh and delicious. No matter how busy they are (they get busy) the wait is never more than a 20 min. Wait. The only thing I can think of that needs improvement is parking. Parking is very tight especially if you have a bigger vehicle.

Best Korean bbq on the island. Idk why it has such low ratings... They give you a variety of banchan and have an extensive menu of traditional Korean food. I always order the outside skirt meat and marinated kalbi. If you order 2 meats, you get a free soup and I always opt for the soft tofu soup. I always get their hot stone bibimbap and seafood pancake as well. This is the only kbbq I go to!

Got a bento from Korea House today-so good! Great variety of ban chan that they offer and 5 pieces of fish! Perfect for the beach, picnics, and quick lunch! Order ahead to be sure you'll get your bento at the designated time. Other options of chicken and beef available as well. Great service, and ordering process. Casual, take out food at its finest

Just dined there in July 2024 and had another exquisite family meal. Staff there hustles like veterans. Must be family or training like a rented mule from Gordon Ramsey. Cold beer and BBQ, just like MAGA cultists require. Try something different like tongue or BiBimBop. Try to keep up and you'll roll out the door like the Michelin tire Bibindum Man.

Walking in, it was dark, cozy, smelling delicious and it was Full House. We were seated quickly with servers that were friendly & fast. You know this place is authentic when you have bean paste dipping sauce and raw garlic slices. They are not trying to tailor to westerners. I really enjoy the Korean comfort foods! 4 stars for the food, soups, and ban chan, 5 stars if the service was great. Typical service you will get at a Korean spot but no complaints. Just gotta be patient for ban chan refills or if you need anything else, I don't expect much just happy that I get to have my Korean food. During this recent Saturday visit, I decided to go here for our late lunch, after hiking Koko Head Trail & Makapuu. It was about 4:30 pm, we were the only ones there, but it filled up pretty quick an and they do have many take out and Uber/Door Dash orders. My favorites here are the combo set, choice of soondubu (combination, kim chee, spam, beef, sausage, clam,) & either meat jun, fried mandoo, bulgogi, yellow corvina, seafood jun, or BBQ chicken. The combo use to be $20.55 my first time but now went up to $23.55, hence the increase, it is still a great deal, this meal comes with rice and 5 different ban chan. This combo was more than enough for the both of us. My favorite is the spam soondubu ( yes. who picks Spam right?! hehe) & the seafood Jun. Although it so hard to decide since all the choices are good, I will have to visit again for the other selection. The other half and I cannot eat an entire combo set by ourselves. I love the ban chan, especially the daikon & kim chee, so fresh and crispy! When I first dined here, I was surprise to see they give you a fresh egg to crack in your soondubu soup, I am use to the egg already in there. We always have leftover soondu soup which I take home and add to my Korean ramen the next day, so good! Support this local mom & pop restaurant, So Gong Dong has been around for the longest time just only recently I've discovered it. I will be back for the next Korean soondubu, ban chan fix!
