Always great food whenever we come here! They changed their ordering system so you can now order in an iPad instead of having a waiter come to your table. Portions are huge so I always have to wait for at least 2 people to join me to make the trip here worthwhile as the food is best when eaten at the restaurant. My favorite dishes has to be the rabokki and the bossam.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got around to it. They have a very small seating and an electronic waiting list, which made it easy to sign up. When you get inside, they see you at a table and everything is electronic when ordering. We wanted to try a bunch of things and the portion sizes were huge. We definitely walked away with leftovers. Loved that they gave banchan before the meal. The Rose tteokbokki was the best item on the menu it was so flavorful and not something I would typically order, but we loved it. The Bossam was fresh and the pork was tender it made for great leftovers too. The chive pancake was delicious, but wasn't a must try with how big everything else was. We will be back to try the rest of the menu.

I loved it omg. The ahjumma who helped us was so sweet and I loved practicing my very limited Korean phrases to her lol. Once I stepped in it felt like I was transported back to a restaurant/bar/pub in Korea. The Bossam was the big star of the show. Meat was so tender and the vegetables were so fresh. Super delicious and definitely enough to feed two people comfortably. Their soft tofu soup was standard, but honestly I have tasted better ones at my other fave Korean restaurants, so I'd pass on the soup. Everything else was amazing though! Definitely want to come back and try the other items!

I was craving Bossam and this was the place to get it. I ordered 1/2 size bc my husband wasn't going to indulge. It was pretty good, fresh veggies and pork was well cooked. Hubby got the spicy pork but I think the sauce on that was a-bit too much, I would have liked that dish not so drenched in sauce. Same with the trio style chicken. I just liked the dry chicken bc the other two had abit too much sauce. Just my two cents. Food came out fast tho!

Jagalchi is hands down my favorite go-to Korean spot. They're open late, which already makes it elite, but the vibes seal the deal. It's trendy, dark-lit, colorful, and gives full Korean bar energy -- neon lights, funky decor, and that lively 분위기 where you want to grab a beer and stay awhile. I highly recommend making reservations or getting there early to put your name on the list. It fills up fast, especially late night and on weekends. My must-orders every time: Pork bossam Meat jeon Some version of their fried pancake (seafood or chives -- you really can't go wrong) There's a parking lot out front, but it gets packed quickly, so plan accordingly and show up a little early. If you're looking for a fun, late-night Korean spot with solid food and great energy, this is it.

Jagalchi offers the best ambiance for a cute date night or hangout with friends! Plenty of free parking at the lot, lots of seating inside and clean restrooms. The food is delicious! I can't help but notice a slight change in the offerings, but everything is still yummy. Only thing is--the price for the food seems steep to what it is. The bossam comes with plenty meat and veggies, even the half size. The flavor/seasoning of the meat was inconsistent dependent on which piece, but the radish kimchi that accompanied it was lovely. The banchan was okay, a little under-seasoned for my liking. The Tteokbokki was more spicy per my request, but a bit of a let down. The sauce was good but the portion of fishcake was a big disappointing. Not nearly enough cabbage. The deep fried seaweed rolls and mandu on top were soggy, even cold. No crunch. The garlic shoyu wings were juicy and super garlicky. The texture of the breading was not crisp or light, but rather crunchy and thick. It reminded me of the breading often found in chicken tenders. The food took quite some time to come out. It was a busy night, and I don't mind waiting; however, the wait was not rewarded with fresh or hot food--which is the bigger issue. Customer service is always friendly. Very much a safe, welcoming space. The kiosks at each table make service more efficient. Overall, positive experience.

Ordered take-out because I was craving Korean food. I didn't want to dine in because I wasn't sure of the vibes, but after stepping in I think I would actually consider dining in next time. The ambiance was laid back and cozy. There was a nice "private" area for a group of people to the side. The workers were attentive and friendly. And the food was so good! It was definitely worth the money to me. I would love to come back and try new stuff next time!

My food here was amazing. I definitely recommend the rappoki and the shoyu wings. the shoyu flavor on the wings was really good along with the texture and taste of the rapokki! i love that the rappoki didnt just come with the noodles and tteobokki but also with other stuff like the seaweed rolls and mandu. the only thing i would probably not recommend is maybe the kalbi. i felt like it could've been more flavorful in my opinion but it was still cooked well. the service was good considering we had a big table and ordering on the tablet was simple. although its a little pricey, we still ended up satisfied and the rappoki was filling as well. I would still definitely try this place again.

This is a newer Korean restaurant spot and it's definitely worth a try! The restaurant itself is very small, so limited seating. The parking lot is also small and you probably want to be using a smaller car to fit in stalls. I have visited this spot twice and both times were at opening times, so I got fortunate that both times wasn't busy. The food comes out pretty quickly. We ordered a variety of appetizers to start and then shared a stew and a platter of meat. The fried mandoo is a fave for me, along with the cheesy corn go appetizers! The banchans were great and we got refills for our banchans! For the main entree we ordered a platter of pork belly and pigs feet sliced up. The platter comes out cold, which I don't care for but the flavors and softness of the meat were good. If I could choose to have it come out hot I would have enjoyed it much more! I will definitely come back again to try more items on the menu!

Call for reservations! The wait time can be busy on a weekend evening. There is also an online waitlist you can join before you arrive. The kalbi was soooo good! I wish I ordered a full order. The rose tteokboki was also delicious. Next time, I'd probably skip the fried chicken. It was good, but nothing stand out-ish. I would also skip the corn cheese. It's pretty expensive for just corn and cheese... Love that you can order half orders of the main meats! A pretty small place so not the best for a large group, but call in advance to see if they can accommodate.

This place is an absolute TREASURE!!! Absolutely MFing treasure!!!!. If you are picky, have multiple allergies, or plan to substitute and modify dishes, this may not be the right place for you. Thus food is meant to be enjoyed as it appears on the menu. Out cost was $76 without tip. We did tip 20% for a lunch time trip. We are two people. We could of Totally taken our 3 pre teen boys to eat today since we did order so much food. So the spicy garlic wings are life changing. Like life changing hella good. The Kalbi was delicious. We did order the full plate instead of the half. I could have used a little more crisp and caramelization/char on them, but that's a personal preference. But so good. The chive jeon was so delicious. We can never not order his! Perfect!! The kimbab was very good!!!! Portions are hefty and the two of us could have fed three more for sure. The vibe is great, plenty of seating for being downtown .

I've been to Jagalchi twice so far. The first time was when they initially opened, and my experience back then was just okay--nothing special. I hadn't returned until a few weeks ago, and this time the experience was great! We called around 7:00 pm to see if they had a table for two. They told us they had one left, so we headed over and were seated right away. It was pretty crowded, and the restaurant felt smaller than I remembered, though still fairly spacious. If you plan on going on a weekend, I definitely recommend making a reservation. The staff was super friendly, and the food was delicious. We ordered the rosè tteokbokki, kimchi jjigae, and bossam. Portions were huge--we left with plenty of leftovers. They also have a nice variety of alcoholic drinks. I'll definitely be back again soon!

Friendly service, fun atmosphere, reasonably priced, and tasty food. What more could you ask for? Came in with on Saturday night at 6pm with a group of 7. Definitely would not have gotten seated quickly without a res, so highly recommended with a bigger group. Big parking lot with lots of free parking. Tried the chives jeon, bossam, army stew, bacon bean sprouts (more like thick pork belly, which was a disappointment but still good in its own way!), crispy wings, kimbap, corn cheese, and L.A galbi. Everything was tasty! Also had more than few bottles of sugar-free Saero soju (yay for no hangovers) and Cass beer. Left so full and with leftovers, too. All that for $57/person including tip. Not too bad! It was also fun being able to write all over the tables and walls with the provided markers. Definitely a great spot for a group dinner. Will definitely be back!

The premium AYCE option is around $60 per person, which would be reasonable if the quality matched the price. Unfortunately, it doesn't. We're from the Bay Area and have been to countless Korean BBQ restaurants with significantly better meat quality for the same price or less. To make matters worse, even at the highest-priced AYCE tier, fountain drinks aren't included. What really left a bad impression was the automatic 20% gratuity. Our group consisted of two separate parties of three people each. We were seated together at one large table with two grills, but we had separate bills, ordered different AYCE meats option, didn't share food, and made that CLEAR before ordering. The menu states that automatic gratuity applies to parties of five or more, yet we were still charged because we happened to sit together. Had we known this was their policy, we would have chosen another restaurant or sat at different areas of the restaurant. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because our servers were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions about the menu and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Unfortunately, when we brought the gratuity issue to the manager, he insisted we were one large party despite us being separate parties with separate orders and separate checks. At the end of the day, the only difference was that we happened to be sitting at the same table. Overall, the service from the staff was great, but the overpriced food, disappointing meat quality, and questionable gratuity policy make it hard for me to recommend this place.

The meat is reasonably high quality, the banchan is generous (the last few times I went they even had poke as a banchan included with the meal), and the service is friendly. The "kimchee soup" is one of my favorite kimchee jjigaes on the island. Refills of meat flow generously out of the kitchen, unlike some other AYCE experiences where each subsequent order gets smaller and smaller until they finally cut you off because you've reached the time limit. I only have one gripe. While each table has a very powerful burner for grilling the meat, their universal approach is to prop up a tilted cast iron plate over the fire to grill on. It's propped at an angle so that the oil flows into a catch pan on the side. This usually means that the half of the plate tilted closer to the fire gets really hot, while the other half struggles to get hot enough and risks just boiling your meat. It also makes adjusting the fire a tricky process - if there's a lull between meats coming to your table, someone might come by and, understandably, turn down your flame. That's fine, but when the food does come out, it takes a long time to get the cast iron hot again. This doesn't stop me from coming back for more here, but just one thing I wish was better about an otherwise great experience. There is a parking lot out front but it is cramped and usually fills up. There is usually someone helping to guide parking, but when it's completely full there's only so much they can do. Street parking in the area can also be a little bit tricky.
