Ban Chan House is located where the old Likelike Drive Inn was. Easy to spot as they also share the same parking with Yogurt Story. Anyhow, if you are craving for some Korean small side dishes this is the place to go to. With its diverse flavors, you'll surely get obsessed with these. They have a variety to choose from fermented kimchis to pan fried dishes, seasoned vegetables and more. Service is okay, not that friendly although they get the job done in here. Space is just right, it's a grab and go situation so just so-so. Mahalo for reding and happy juandering fellow Yeeps.

Picked up some Kim chee this past Saturday and it was so delicious! Perfect balance of spicy and very fresh. There was a lot of variety of banchans , but I only needed Kim Chee for a party. There was one lady in the back prepping and another one helping customers. I rang the service bell at the front register and someone came out quickly to help me pay for my items. I will definitely be back to try some of the other items! Happy eating!

I love my banchan but have no idea how to make them myself and going to a Korean restaurant to get my fix regularly is getting expensive! In comes banchan house, wow!! a huge variety of authentic kimchee and other banchan at reasonable prices. Also fresh mandoo and jun (meat, fish, other!!). Picked out my favorites fishcake and Taegu to sample and was NOT disappointed!! Chewy, super flavorful, overall delicious. Can't wait to go back to restock and gift to my family!

Plenty options, all made fresh and with care! Service here is great too, parking can be tough but keep circling around and you will get one eventually. The cucumber and garlic stems from here is my favorite!!! I recommend everyone to try something new!

Banchan House. Located on Keeaumoku Street, old Likelike drive inn. Same parking lot where Yogurt Story is. Shared parking. Small tight spaces. Open 8am-6pm Monday thru Saturday. Closed Sunday. Many refrigerated prepacked items. Also, on the counter. Kamiya papayas. Frozen mandoo as well. Recommend: Hamburger Jun, Chop Chae, kimchee, mandoo. Mandoo can be boiled or pan fried, but thaw first Note: Good to go after 2pm, more parking stalls.

The tastiness of their items (I got spicy green peppers and spicy marinated kkaennip perilla leaves) is enough to have me return. The cons are that their choice of banchans are limited compared to places like Palama Supermarket in Kalihi. And overpriced. $8 and $10 kinda high. Parking is also challenging at different times of the day.

Business is located at Like Like Plaza and opens at 8:00 am. Per conversation with male owner, they make their own food unlike another business who has food from S Korea. There are refrigerators full of banchan., meat jun, fish jun, hamburger jun, frozen mandoo, and frozen marinated meats. Prices are affordable for the size. It is grab and go as there are no tables and chairs.

We've been loyal customers of Banchan House since it was known as "Keeaumoku Produce" at its former location, from which they, along with other businesses, were forced to move. It's a small, clean, cozy shop. My wife loves their kimchi and other banchan. She recently picked up some kimchi mandu, which she kept frozen to portion out and add to soups and other dishes, enhancing them. Today, I went there intending to purchase some mandu and kimchi. Unfortunately, I was told they were out of kimchi mandu and only had the regular kind. One of my personal favorites is their hamburger jeon. It's surprisingly flavorful. I usually have it with hot rice, but I recently tried it in a sliced bagel, and that made it stand out. I've mentioned a few items, but I don't know all the names of their full range of products. If you like genuine Korean foods, you may enjoy discovering your own favorites. https://bsky.app/profile/raymondkaya.bsky.social/post/3lg2qnsxcdc27

Oh man, I really would hope this could be my spot for all my banchan needs but after trying a bunch that I took home, unfortunately I don't think it can be... I've had better kimchi bought from other places. Their kimchi here lacked depth and umami. I don't make kimchi so I can't tell what's missing but it's just not there. Their bean sprouts don't taste savory either, maybe lacking some sesame oil, and it's mostly just salty flavor that I picked up. I've tried 2-3 more other banchans. All just OK. The only one that I liked was the seaweed salad with a good balance of saltiness, tanginess and sweetness. The staff were friendly and it seemed like things were made fresh in the morning. He was bringing out some japchae from the kitchen when I was there. Maybe I went on a wrong day? Maybe I picked the wrong items? I wish I could find more banchans I like from banchan house.

Doing my routine dash to Banchan House. I can get in and out of here faster than going through McDonald's drive-through because everything is pre-pack and ready to go. I wish they sold the Korean dipping sauce for their meat Jun & boiled mandu. Today I tried something different than my usual and it was good. I think it is a cornmeal batter with chives and vegetables. Next time I'm there, I'm gonna ask what it is.

Have you ever eaten at a Korean restaurant and thought "I love all the side dishes, I wish I could order just the banchan to take home!"?? Well this is your place. They have refrigerated sides, frozen home made mandoo, and freshly made ready to eat meat jun, fish jun, jap chae, and other goodies. SECRET TIP: the fresh eggs are very good too $18/30 egg tray. So fluffy and creamy when you scramble them. There's no place to sit and eat, this is purely grab and go. Parkings kind of tough.

Stopped by today to pick up cucumber kim chee. Looks like the prices have gone up on some items. So yummy that you can't pass it up. Fast service here. Area is clean and most items are refrigerated.

Banchan is the meal for many... Here you'll surely to find something that will pair perfectly with what you're having and after picking up some Korean food only to find the lack of banchan they offered I thought this would be the perfect place to make up for that adding something different. Here you have a line of display cases so neatly organized and filled with banchan of all kinds Kim Chee of all kinds, Seafood (Taegu, Anchovies, Squid and Octopus), Japchae and even Mandoo and marinated meat all ready for you to take home to prepare. I have managed to decide on a few on is a seaweed which we both didn't like another is julienne kimchee daikon...too sour for our personal preference and the third is "Sliced Nori Salad" and that we both loved it's nori with daikon, carrots and onions all together made a light and refreshing salad. The lady there is just a delight asking if she makes all of these yummies only smiled and responded mostly my husband...super sweet! A plain and simple concept filled with many options all to make or make it your meal the vibe here is just fresh and yummy! Thank you!

I really enjoy the Korean comfort foods! 4 stars for the food, soups, and ban chan, 5 stars if the service was great. Typical service you will get at a Korean spot but no complaints. Just gotta be patient for ban chan refills or if you need anything else, I don't expect much just happy that I get to have my Korean food. During this recent Saturday visit, I decided to go here for our late lunch, after hiking Koko Head Trail & Makapuu. It was about 4:30 pm, we were the only ones there, but it filled up pretty quick an and they do have many take out and Uber/Door Dash orders. My favorites here are the combo set, choice of soondubu (combination, kim chee, spam, beef, sausage, clam,) & either meat jun, fried mandoo, bulgogi, yellow corvina, seafood jun, or BBQ chicken. The combo use to be $20.55 my first time but now went up to $23.55, hence the increase, it is still a great deal, this meal comes with rice and 5 different ban chan. This combo was more than enough for the both of us. My favorite is the spam soondubu ( yes. who picks Spam right?! hehe) & the seafood Jun. Although it so hard to decide since all the choices are good, I will have to visit again for the other selection. The other half and I cannot eat an entire combo set by ourselves. I love the ban chan, especially the daikon & kim chee, so fresh and crispy! When I first dined here, I was surprise to see they give you a fresh egg to crack in your soondubu soup, I am use to the egg already in there. We always have leftover soondu soup which I take home and add to my Korean ramen the next day, so good! For the meats, the beef brisket and beef toro were the stars, but the beef chuck was slightly tough and dry. They were also out of bulgogi, which was disappointing. The pork had a really strong boar taint smell/taste, which completely turned me off from ordering any of the pork. We had to ask for more meat and banchan refills multiple times. There was usually a pretty noticeable lag before anything came out, which was frustrating for an AYCE spot. They also seemed to be selective about which banchans they would refill. They would bring more of the dishes like kimchi and cucumber, but when we asked for more tuna mac, they wouldn't give us any. It also looked like there were only two people working while there were probably around 10 tables during the Tuesday lunch rush, so I do think they were understaffed. If you're offering AYCE, the refills and service should flow a lot more smoothly. It felt like they were paying more attention the tables that selected a higher tier of AYCE. Not a terrible experience, but definitely not as seamless or enjoyable as I was hoping for.
