    Mandoo House on Nuuanu Ave

Mandoo House on Nuuanu Ave is the spot!! Stopped by last week and bought a bag of the vegetable/chicken mandoo. They were so good, we cooked the rest the following night and stopped by a few days later for more.

This is how you Mandoo it... Chances are many of you have driven pass this place right on Nuuanu Ave though if you blink may have passed it and it's a shame as this cute little place does Mandoo and knows what they're doing. Located right across Hosoi Garden Mortuary just look for the "Hand Mandoo" sign and street parking is the only thing I know but you'll only take forever if you're indecisive as it's an easy choice... - Vegetable with Chicken Mandoo Half bag at $22 for 20 pieces Full bag at $35 for 35 pieces - Kimchee Mandoo Half bag at $28 for 20 pieces Full bag at $45 for 35 pieces Pan fried, Deep fried or just plop them in your soup these yummies can hold it all in regardless and are just delicious! I usually get the chicken and love the convenience as it's kept frozen and cooked when you feel like it. Thank you!

Vegetable Chicken Mandoo (Dumplings) 10 pieces for $12

Today I got to try the vegetable chicken mandoo (dumpling) 10 pieces for $12, and "WOW" it was so tasty. The only thing is you have to cook it. The ladies are very nice also.

Right off the side on Nuuanu Rd. You'll probably see the Tio Tamale shop 1st. If you see Nuuanu okazuya you went too far. Anyways they only had frozen when we went which is fine so I can make a few here and there when I want. These are very good sized mandoo and the outsider wrapper is thicker with more chew. In other words perfect for soups and making your own won ton mein at home. The more Chinese Japanese gyoza potsticker is was smaller and thinner that'll fall apart. Overall very satisfied and will try the kimchee one next time I'm around. Not sure about parking as we had something across the street and just walked over

Love the aunties here, making fresh mandoo daily! Yum

Best mandoo in town, made with love! You can eat it straight after pick up (if made on that day), or freeze to eat later!

Frozen handmade Mandoo (Korean dumplings) to go ... If you want authentic Mandoo in the comfort of your own home, you might want to try Omega Mandoo House on Nu'uanu Avenue in Honolulu. I've passed by this cozy shop hundreds of times. I think my friend had gotten a bag of Mandoo and let me taste a few many years ago. It was pretty good! The other day, I was getting some lunch for my mom at Nu'uanu Okazuya and found an open metered stall right in front of Omega Mandoo House. Since I was there, I thought that I should get a bag of Mandoo. The best deal was 40 pieces for $35. If you buy half a bag, it's 20 pieces for $20. Hmmm... Note: there's also a kimchee Mandoo. I got the Chicken and Chives version. The nice lady seemed so appreciative of my purchase. She said that it's best to defrost the Mandoo first, then fry them. Ok... I can do that! ...and I did! It was quite simple and quick! I had a nice lunch at home! Check it out! Maybe try boiling them in soup for a change up! Enjoy!

Cute ladies making mandoo all day. They are filled to the max and they taste delicious. It's always a great thing to have in your freezer to enjoy. They're so sweet and friendly and work, work, and work hard all day for our enjoyment. I know a lot of restaurants that use their mandoo so it's legit delicious. Prices went up a little but for all that hard work + the ingredient prices going up, it's ok. They're not overcharging and gauging prices like some places. It's hard work and it's delicious. Boiled, steamed, or pan fried I enjoy these!! $35/40 mandoo of the chicken and vegetable. It's a good price for me!!

Decided to pick up some homemade Mandoo at the Mandoo House located on Nuuanu couple doors down from Nuuanu Okazuya. They was originally located across the street from Liliha L@L on Liliha. I got there and wanted to buy Kim Chee Mandoo and the vegetable w/chicken Mandoo. The sales person told me that they only had Kim Chee Mandoo left so I ordered a half bag @ $25. Looks like you get a price break if you order the full bag . The Kim Chee half bag of 20 pieces is for $25. The full bag you get 40 pieces @ $40. The chicken w/vegetable half bag of 20 pieces @$18 and a full bag of 40 pieces @ $30 . It comes frozen so you'll need to cook it yourself . I had their Mandoo before and it's very good but that's when they was located in Liliha. Now their at a new location I'm sure it taste the same . Good for the Holidays and you can't go wrong with Mandoo being your favorite pupu's. Support local and keep wearing your mask

Chicken veggie mandoo. You bring home to cook/fry/steam
    Tara K.

They close at 2pm! Total hole in the wall. Wished the aunty's at least wear mask while they make the mandoos. The mandoos come fully cooked frozen. They are handmade daily. So it's super fresh! The chicken veggie mandoo is soooo delicious! They sell out pretty fast so go early. Get plenty parking outside.

They have free parking in the small lot right outside their restaurant, but there is also paid parking across the street. We were lucky, and people were leaving as we got there. For 7 of us, we got the rabokki, meat jun, half order of bossam, and kimchee pancake. This was more than enough food for everyone, and we probably would have skipped the kimchee pancake next time. The food was really good, and I would definitely recommend the bossam if you're with a group. The meat is super soft and flavorful, and even the half order was a generous portion. We also ordered the lemon soju and yogurt soju pitchers. They have tablets for you to order the food, which was super convenient. The food comes out pretty quickly, and the service is friendly. Overall, would recommend here for good Korean food and fun vibes.

The restaurant gives off Korean pub vibes, decently sized, and best suited for smaller groups. We ordered a variety of food: chicken combo, kimbap, bulgogi, bossam, and spicy rice cakes. The food was very delicious. My favorite was the bulgogi because it was tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed the spicy rice cakes, but I wish they gave a bigger portion of it.. The chicken was okay, but not something I'd order again. The spicy sauce was drenched all over the chicken and was very spicy. The regular crispy chicken didn't have enough salt for me and was overcooked.

However, since I was in the area, my partner and I decided to give it another shot...and now I'm hooked In fact, I went three times last month. Not only is the food amazing, but the service is on another level. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend calling ahead for reservations. My go-to order is always the poke and kalbi, and the third dish depends on whatever my partner is craving that day. Parking can be a little challenging, but I promise it's worth it. We are extremely disappointed with our recent experience…read more We've been loyal customers and typically eat here twice a week whenever we're on assignment on the island in the last five years. We have also left two previous positive reviews because we've genuinely enjoyed the food and wanted to support this small business. Earlier this week, we ordered the bulgogi for our kids, but the meat was too chewy and tough making it inedible. Wanting to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, we ordered the bulgogi again the following day and even requested it be cooked well done. Unfortunately, it had the same too chewy and tough texture, and again, could not be eaten. After feeding the kids something else, bathing them, and putting them to bed, I called the restaurant around 10:00 p.m., but they had already closed. I called the next day, and the owner (a lady with glasses) returned my call. Instead of listening to my concerns, she repeatedly interrupted me and spoke in a passive-aggressive, dismissive manner. I was on speakerphone with four other adults in the car, and everyone commented on how unhelpful and condescending the conversation felt. I explained that I wasn't calling simply to complain - I wanted to share feedback because we genuinely care about the restaurant and have supported it for a long time. I even mentioned that I had previously provided constructive feedback about the takeout bowls, which the restaurant later improved. Before I could finish, she cut me off and said, "We're not talking about the to-go bowls right now, are we? We're talking about your bulgogi." She insisted that if I wanted a refund, I needed to return to the restaurant in person, and that if something was wrong in the future, I should come back immediately so they could remake it. Unfortunately, that's simply not realistic for us. We're staying in a hotel with two young children, and the restaurant is about 40 minutes away. By the time we discovered the problem, got the kids settled, and called, making another round trip would have meant roughly 80 minutes of additional driving with tired, hungry children. I understand that mistakes happen, and I wasn't expecting perfection. What disappointed me most was how the concern was handled. This business does not value customer feedback and will never first listen respectfully, even from repeat customers who have consistently supported and recommended them. Sadly, based on this experience with both the food quality and the customer service, we won't be returning.
