    Shoyu ramen bowl (cooked)
    Jess W.

I got some bowls for a fundraiser at my kids' school. It is a really convenient fundraiser and it sounded like good food. I really liked not having to go park on King Street to pick up my bowls. Pick up was at the school. It was very easy to microwave these bowls to eat. The instructions were clear and simple. These bowls are jampacked with noodles and veggies. A little bit light on the meat. It was pretty tasty though. For the price, I'm not sure I would get it again unless there was a fundraiser attached because I always try to support in some way. The bowls were good though, so I would recommend trying them.

The microwave bowls are a full meal. Pretty tasty. Just heat up in the microwave for 4 minutes, no need to add water or anything. I'd buy again.

I love that this place is still close in location to me and still tasty with more bowl options! They moved from market city to south king Street across the library right next to stadium park. You can street park and pick up your to-go bowls, fast and easy. The price went up a little but I think they are a little bigger in portion size now still very tasty and the convenience of a microwavable bowl so I think it's still worth it! I got the sukiyaki udon which is the original one I always get (soup broth is soo yummy!) and the cold noodle which you can choose I believe from I think three different sauces. I always get the vinegat one. When I can't decide what to eat and if I remember this place or I want some udon/ramen and eat it in the comfort of my own home, this is the go to place!

These are so goood! They have a grab and go concept. They offer fundraisers. Over all they are easy to heat up and great to eat! I enjoy their spicy udon!

Mini pot togo... One of the creative changes covid has created as once they used to have a hotpot restaurant in Market City Shopping Center only closing the dine in portion during the pandemic having them forced to pivot to take out only didn't really interest me whatsoever. Fast forward to the Kaiser Farmers Market held on Tuesday nights marketing their "Micorwaveable Bowls" which is a fascinating idea you don't see around very much is brilliant. The soup portion is in a jelly consistency piling on the toppings bringing the vision of a mini hot pot and now to have their current brick and mortar location right on South King Street next to the Old Stadium Park you can pick up any of their items at your convenience. On this visit they had a special of "Tomato" ramen or udon and decided to give it a try along with the Maido House Shoyu udon for mom as she wasn't feeling well I though this bowl of hot soup with the load of veggies would be the perfect remedy. You're given a card to give you the ideal timeline to keep your bowl in the fridge which is two days max recommended and to crack open the lid a bit for ventilation and heat on high for about four minutes...we did that but since everything has been cooled down we did a couple more minutes after giving it a break from the first heat to get it that nice super hot throughout the dish. Very yummy and fresh it really is a great way to take home the comfort to enjoy at your leisure. Thank you!

Really delicious soup and fresh ingredients. Shoyu is my favorite flavor broth. I always opt for the keto bowl and am never disappointed. It's just enough food to feel satiated, without feeling too full.

Our church had a fundraiser, We go try Nabeya Maido. It's quite different, picked it up from church, 8 bowls! Delivered to my cuz'ns house. Got home, tried it! read the instructions because it was our 1st time trying this "do not add water" microwave bowl meal. 5min in the micro... yes! Oishii! It's filling, it's perfect and hearty. Lots of veggies (yumm) Like the instructions say "do not add water". Enjoy

My single cousin who doesn't like to cook if he can help it likes this place. He's been picking up from here for several years. You buy a ready made hot pot type of bowl, take it home, microwave it and you have a hot meal. Multiple bowl choices on their website. Went to purchase gift cards for his Christmas present. Limited time special - for $50 you get six $10 gift cards. They are also at pop ups. Parking in the back so it's convenient.

My aunty and uncle purchased these bowls for our family through a fundraiser. We were excited because I think we saw them on the news or some type of local food show so we always wanted to try it out. The bowls are simple, just microwave and enjoy! Lots of food, definitely enough to make you full. My only issue is that the broth isn't as flavorful as I would've liked. We did add some of our own chili garlic oil which made it better. I seen some reviews mention sauces so maybe it needs that added to the side but it doesn't seem like it comes with the bowls, separate charge I would assume.

I'm not sure what happened to my original review when I tried this spot 2 years ago but this update…read morewas well deserved! During both visits, the employees were so accommodating. Even with a decent amount of seating, there is minimal space so they ask that you leave your strollers outside. When we called the first time saying our daughter was asleep they arranged everything in order to fit the stroller inside. The second visit, I had an even bigger stroller because it was a double stroller for my daughter and son. When I said my son was asleep they again, quickly tried to arrange space for the stroller until we realized he woke up. I truly appreciate them being so welcoming because I've come across many establishments that are not especially towards kids. As for the food, the first time the tonkatsu was a miss for me. I was comparing it to a popular spot on the island that books out months in advance that I tried just before my first visit here and it just seemed a lot more oily and not as tender. We were actually going to eat at the other business again but with two kids and walking non stop on our trip already, I was so happy we had an option closer to us. Both times, we were coming from Hilton Hawaiian Village. They have the cutest car bento boxes for the kids, and they let you choose the car color. My daughter loved the mini umbrella that came with her plate. My son was days before turning 1 year old so a lot of things ended up on the floor and even then, they were so kind about it. The best thing though for my husband and I AND my son, was the loco moco which we were told was limited and a new item for dinner since it was primarily only served as a lunch option? The flavor of the gravy alone was sooo good and rich. My son ended up eating my whole portion of rice and gravy with no crumbs left behind or on the floor lol. The other katsu items we ordered were nice and lightly coated and were not heavily oily at all. The only thing that I felt lacked was their curry especially in comparison to their gravy. I would definitely recommend coming here and I can't wait to come back. That was one of our favorite new dishes this trip and we come every year!

I got the pork loin with shrimp combo (the mixed portion instead of the large), and everything was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling too heavy. One of my favorite parts was grinding the sesame seeds myself in the little ceramic bowl with the wooden grinder, then mixing in the tonkatsu sauce. It made the whole meal feel interactive and intentional, and the sauce was SO good on the pork loin. I also ended up getting a refill of the cabbage because the sesame dressing they served with it was honestly addictive. I went around 8 PM to avoid the dinner rush and was pleasantly surprised I got a table pretty easily. Taking my time with the smaller mixed portion made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable instead of rushed. Overall, really delicious food, great atmosphere, and one of my favorite meals I've had in Waikiki so far. Pictured are the before and after of my dish. Probably a better "go with friends place" than a date.

Very random one morning after stopping by kona purveyors in Waikiki, I went to the restroom and while my husband was waiting for me he decided to randomly check if they had any reservations available and we were able to get one for the next day! Getting a reservation is definitely the way to go, I've seen people wait in standby however seating is not guaranteed since they prioritize those who have a reservation. The service was amazing! They are constantly checking up on you to see if you need anything else. I like how they offer different kinds of miso soup. I personally had limitations due to my shellfish allergy, but it was amazing! The katsu we ordered was one of the biggest one that they offer. It's crazy how big the katsu was and surprisingly it was super crispy, light, and even juicy in the inside! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try katsu in hawaii!

The atmosphere and decor were great very warm and inviting and the service and overall vibe felt authentic. However, our experience with the food was disappointing this time. I've been to Mitch's a few times and when I saw that they opened up an Izakaya next door, I knew I had to try it and made a reservation on Yelp. Izakaya Mitch's specializes more in cooked dishes while the other side is more about the fresh / raw fish. But that didn't stop us from ordering the assorted sashimi. All the fish were from Japan and yes you can taste the difference. The fatty tuna was obviously my favorite but even the regular tuna and the hamachi was so buttery, it just melts in your mouth. Plus, it comes with real wasabi. Not horseradish, real wasabi. For the cooked dishes we got the hokkaido crab tempura with a side of matcha salt. One of the best tempuras I've ever had. The kamameshi, a rice dish with their fish of the day. We got the half order and it's kinda like a bibimbap where they mix the rice for you at your table. I saw that people were raving about this on Yelp and put in our order right when we got in because it takes 25-ish minutes to prepare. On special, they had a karei karaage. Karei is a flat fish and I've never had a fish karaage before, it was perfectly fried and dipped in the ponzu sauce it was so good.
