My first time trying YogurStory! I know, I know, kind of sad this place has been around for a while. I've heard good things about them, but never actually had a chance to try them until recently. We came here for brunch, and ordered the eggs Benedict. One was the classic eggs Benedict with fried rice. The other was the smoked salmon eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. Food was very good. I was surprised at the quality of the egg Benedict. We had also ordered hot coffee and an iced coffee. Service was a bit slow. Iced coffee was brought out, but nobody brought out my hot coffee. Our food then arrived, but we weren't given any utensils in which to eat it and it took a while to flag down our waitress for us to get utensils as we stared hungrily at our food. Atmosphere is a casual diner type feel, but was clean. Note this place gets busy very quickly. They don't take reservations, but you can put yourself on a waitlist on Yelp which helps cut down on the time you actually have to wait at the restaurant. Food 5/5, service 3/5.

Highly rated restaurant close to our condo. Didn't realize they have a wait list you can join via Yelp. We joined wait list once we arrived and wait was about 20 minutes. Bit of a line folks waiting to get in. Very spacious table seating. Wide isles and mostly tables for 4. There are large picnic style tables around the side for large groups. Nice portion size of crab cakes but looked a little burnt. Tasty tho. Fairly hefty English muffin. Poach egg cooked to perfection. Crispy and tender tater tots were the star of the show! Asparagus was perfectly cooked but portion could be a bit more generous. Big slice of prime rib, requested medium rare but came slightly more done but not bad. Decent tenderness and flavor. Sauce a little salty but the mushrooms and rice tames the saltiness. Over easy eggs cooked perfectly. Espresso martini didn't impress. Tasted like vodka poured into coffee. Bloody Mary was good but not spectacular. Came with two olives and lemon wedge. Still tasty. Had a good meal overall. Given the very large portions they offer good value for the big eaters. Didn't try their pancakes which are highly praised by reviews. We ordered... Crab Cake Benedict Tater tots, asparagus, sauce on the side Espresso Martini Prime Rib Loco Moco Medium rare Bloody Mary I would come back given they serve you a lot of food which is important in my book

INCREDIBLE food, amazing service, and very casual vibes. I found Yogurstory on Tik Tok and was drawn by the Ube Pancakes, which did NOT disappoint. The staff was so kind and our food came quickly. It was a little bit of a wait and definitely busy, but for good reason! I fear this establishment is a new staple any time we find ourselves in Honolulu.

Everytime I go to Oahu, this is a must go - a staple if you will, of my Hawaii experience. Service is always impeccable, and there's always a line/wait time, so make sure to account for that! Food came out in reasonable time, and they had so much flavor! Be prepared for some Hawaiian sized portions as well! Ambiance was a classic diner feel with a modern Hawaiian twist. Highly recommend any of the bennys and the Ube pancakes :)

My family & I dined here for my birthday & had a great time. Make sure to add yourself to the Yelp Waitlist because there is usually a wait. Friendly customer service, great food & delicious mimosa options. Unfortunately, a few of our dishes were wrong so ensure you double check the receipt. The portions here are huge! Be prepared to take home leftovers. Ube Pancakes: What they are famous for & rightfully so. Delicious, fluffy, amazing ube flavor. Prime Rib Loco Moco: My hun loved this! So tender. House Special Fried Rice: Extra side of Portuguese Sausages. Tasty! We were obsessed with the PS we had to get more.

Years ago, I saw someone post on Facebook a photo of YogurStory's ube pancakes and was immediately intrigued by the hotcakes covered in a vibrantly deep purple sauce. Needless to say, when we made our way back to Oahu in September, 2023, I knew that I had to brunch here. That day was with my cousin, Michelle, and family on the morning of Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Contrary to what one might understandably assume from the eatery's name, YogurStory is no longer a simple yogurt shoppe. In fact, on the day of our visit, I didn't see any yogurt listed in the menu offerings. They have, though, become a beloved destination for both locals and visitors alike as one of Honolulu's hottest breakfast/brunch Asian bistros. Nestled in the heart of Honolulu, although the restaurant offers free parking in their on-site lot, spaces are limited and tend to fill up quickly, so be prepared to wait for something to free up or to opt for metered parking on surrounding streets. The venue's spacious interior welcomes guests to a brightly lit and clean space for dining. YogurStory's menu serves aloha fusion fare, blending Hawaiian flavours with Asian-inspired twists. Creative dishes are crafted to enchant the palate with delectable dishes as well as dazzle the eyes with artful presentations with vibrantly colourful touches. From the first glance to the last bite, offerings are a feast for every sense. Below are what we ordered: Eddy, Michelle and I started with indulgent caffeinated iced drinks from the espresso bar section of the menu; 2 taro lattes ($5.75 each), one regular and another with a milk alternative like oat or soy milk, and macadamia nut latte ($6.25). The beverages were delightful. prime rib skillet ($18.50) - Eddy ordered this hearty skillet of tater tots topped with prime rib bites, veggies, gravy and two over easy eggs. He appreciated the generous portions of meat and enjoyed that the crispy potatoes absorbed the buttery, garlicky juices and gravy. porkbelly oinker ($15.95) - Michelle went with this house specialty, topped with scrambled eggs. The dish had a nice balance of sweet and savoury notes and the chicharrones added another level of flavour and texture. veggie omelet ($14.50) - Unfortunately, DJ was unimpressed by this omelet with bell pepper, mushrooms, onion and zucchini. Lacking in alluring flavour he found the beaten egg concoction. prime rib veggie rice ($18.50) - Michelle and Eddy shared this medley of veggies with prime rib, rice and an over easy egg. Some of the chunks of meat were substantially fatty. ube pancake ($13.95) - Although listed as a single pancake, the serving is actually a generous stack of at least two or three, maybe even more. The fluffy Okinawan sweet potato pancakes, covered in that rich, beautiful purple sauce that captivated me, perfectly showcased the exotic taste of both ube and coconut. To be honest, I have never been fond of pancakes, but, yes, I went to YogurStory specifically for this breakfast item and it did not disappoint. In fact, I LOVED every single bite, so ono! These pancakes are a must try, especially for ube and/or coconut lovers. Truly a standout dish for its unique flavour and visual appeal, they are unlike any other pancakes. Service was attentive. knowledgeable and friendly, enhancing the warm ambiance and overall dining experience. We will definitely be back - I need more of those ube pancakes!!

We have been here several times and the food usually hits. But the few times from January until now, it's slacking. It's so disappointing. I have been hoping to just think it's a fluke but it was not good today. We waited for about 20 minutes. Not the worst. Got seated and the waiter got to us in about 5. Not bad. There were busy. We immediately ordered. Got the ube stack pancakes, got the pork loco moco, onion rings and truffle Parmesan fries. Also got the croissant sandwich and the omelette. Every was cold. Barely warm, like I was sitting there for a long time. The onion rings were wet tasting and over all not good. The fries were perfect. The fried rice didn't have the Same tastes as last time. The loco moco was off too. Perfect over medium egg, but also Cold as well. The ube pancakes didn't taste as good as usual doing to be cold and feeling if as they sat for a long time and had the burnt grill taste on them. I know it was busy, this place is usually kicking, but we aren't sure if the wait is worth it and trying to find parking if the food is going to keep being like this. Food was presented pretty. But other than that it's not the same.

Me and one other friend came on a Saturday around 9am, added our name to the waitlist. I think we waited maybe about 15 minutes. Service was super friendly, despite having to wait a while for our food. Our server constantly reassured us that it would be out soon. We ordered the crab Benedict and ube pancakes to share. Everything was phenomenal! I love how crispy their tater tots were. And the ube sauce for the pancakes, so fire. The restaurant gave like a cute old school diner vibe. Would definitely come back whenever I visit again!

We ordered takeout from YogurSotry on a Saturday morning around 10 AM. When we arrived, there were a big line waiting outside...so glad for the takeout order and not to wait. Got our pancakes, a side of hash brown, a side of Portuguese sausage and went home. Each pancake order came with 3 pancakes: big pancakes that I was only able to finish half, it all came with two generous jars of Ube pancake sauce, sweet but not too sweet. We really enjoyed the Ube pancakes. It was soft, moist, and when you pour on the Ube sauce. It was thick and creamy sweet...really hit the spot. The two sides that we ordered, hashbrowns in Portuguese sausages were equally delicious. We will be back! Pay attention to your pick up order: we ordered 2 plates of Ube pancakes, and they only gave us one at first until we told them that one is missing.

Hawaiian Loco Moco

Recently stopped by Yogurstory and had a great experience. We went on a weekday around 2pm and were one of the few diners, which made for a relaxed visit. Heads up, they stop taking orders at 2:30pm. Hawaiian Loco Moco (5/5): Huge portion with a patty that weighs close to a pound. Juicy, savory, and paired perfectly with over easy eggs and a rich house-made brown gravy with hints of red wine and garlic. Fried Rice Upgrade (3/5): Paid an extra $4 expecting the House Special fried rice with bacon, kalua pork, Portuguese sausage, and egg, but mine seemed to be missing most of those proteins. Still had a strong garlic flavor that I enjoyed, but didn't match expectations. Corned Beef Hash Benedict (5/5): One of the best I've had. Crispy, well-seasoned corned beef without being overly salty, paired with perfectly poached eggs, mozzarella, and hollandaise on a crisp English muffin. We went with the Tater Tots for our Starch Choice which were erfectly fried, not oily, and no frozen aftertaste. A great side. Overall, a great brunch spot with both quality and portion size. I'd probably stick with white rice for the loco moco next time, but everything else hit. Definitely worth checking out.

Ube Waffle

Solid place. I got the ube waffle, wife got corned beef hash benedict with kimchi fried rice and asparagus. I don't normally get waffles, so take this with a grain of salt, but they were good. On the light, airy side and tasty. I'd get it again. 8.5/10 The corned beef hash and kimchi fried rice were good, kimchi wasn't too hot. This is closer to my usual breakfast vibes, and the kimchi fried rice gives me Big City nostalgia. Solid 8.5/10. Service was coo but the place can get packed.

One of the best service ive received is from here! The servers were very friendly and welcoming! Yogur story is a great breakfast and brunch spot! However wait time can get busy, especially during the breakfast. I recommend to come during brunch! Get the Aloha French Toast! A classic but they do it perfectly!!

We went there for breakfast and arrived around 8:15 am and the restaurant was getting pretty busy and parking was getting limited. Got seated and served pretty fast and staff were very friendly. I ordered the simple breakfast which came with Portuguese sausage and spam with rice and eggs which was good and the portion is good. And a cup of coffee! My wife ordered the house special fried rice which was huge and tasty it was like garlic rice and it came with pork rinds. Restroom were clean and pretty large parking area but it does get full, after that they have meter street parking along the parking lot. They have a huge amount of items on the list need to go back and try. The most popular I notice customers consuming was Ube pancakes and prime rib loco moko which could feed 2!

It's a small, but very kitschy little dining room that fits at most 20 tables so definitely go early or pack your patience as you wait for an opening. However, the service is fast, but friendly and they are able to turn the tables with extreme proficiency and also making you feel welcomed. The items to get at Aloha Kitchen are its souffle pancakes and loco moco. The souffle pancakes is essentially the size of the plate that it came on, but because of the airness and lightness of it's execution, you leave feeling full but not weighted down by normal carbs. The recommendation is the coconut macadamia nut pancake with its unique combination of flavor and textures. The other local item is their loco moco. Get it in its tradition form with the hamburger patty with an egg over easy, but add the spam fried rice over the white rice. The combination of flavors along with its terrific gravy makes this a can't miss item on your stay in Hawaii. The one thing to be aware of is, the will announce the name quickly and only a few times and if you're not present after the first few announcements, you'll be marked as a "no show" and will have to go back to the end of the line, so definitely wait out front if you're there any later than opening. Otherwise, in a sea of numerous breakfast spots in Waikiki, Aloha Kitchen really does stand out. I only wish they had a bigger space, but wonder if that would take away from the charm of this space.

The busser saw our large group come in and asked if we wanted to sit at a table we were eyeing, then cleaned it off for us and added extra seating so all of us could fit. The cashier was also very nice, and once your order is ready, the workers explain the toppings bar so you can dress your açaí bowl however you want (coconut flakes, granola, honey, chia seeds, etc.). I got the regular açaí bowl, and again, it is the best açaí bowl I have ever had. The açaí is thick and very rich, and you can tell the blend is real açaí and the berries on top are fresh. The topping bar is a great touch because you can customize it to your liking. It is sweet but not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It also takes a long time to melt, so you can take your time eating it. We also got a couple waffles on the side, and those were good too.

Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

The staff were friendly and very helpful with giving us recommendations. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entrees, and honestly it was too much food for us. We had leftovers for breakfast the next day! - For appetizers we got: Ulu Tots, Japanese Eggplant, and Corn Beignets. The Corn Beignets was the best. - For entree we got: Tomato Miso Black Cod and the Short Rib. Both were delicious and worth a try. Sad to see that this restaurant appears to be closing.

This place is always busy for a reason!…read more We came here after a hike and between the two of us, we had a hard time finishing two things off the menu (but we still ordered 3 things!! -waffle, eggs Benedict, and breakfast burrito). Their portion sizes are big and of course... they're one of the best breakfast restaurants on the island so the flavors are always good! Considering how busy they are, the servers are still always attentive and sweet. It's always such a great experience coming here. The only thing that stops me from coming is the line, but once I'm in, I'm reminded that it's worth waiting for!

We decided to try this place because of the good reviews, but unfortunately our experience was…read moredisappointing. We were seated quickly, which was a positive, but the service throughout the meal was not pleasant. Our server seemed very rushed from the beginning. When taking our drink order, she walked away before everyone had finished ordering. Later, when we ordered food, I tried to mention that I did not want mushrooms in my frittata, but she interrupted me and moved on to another question. As a result, my frittata still came with mushrooms. The food itself was okay overall. The frittata could have used a bit more seasoning, and while another server checked on a nearby table and offered condiments like ketchup, hot sauce, or salt, our server never once checked if we needed anything. The loco moco was good, although the gravy was slightly too salty. At the end of the meal, when it was time to pay, our server stood there and immediately asked which tip option we wanted to choose -- "1, 2, or 3." Tipping should reflect the quality of service provided, and unfortunately the customer service we received did not warrant that approach. Overall, the experience did not live up to the reviews we had read.
