Nice to still have the classic... Yes this is very much for the visitors though I'm no different when I'm the one visiting looking for places like this you do still need to bargain for the item you've been searching for and as annoying it can get the search does make it so worth while. It's not as large as it used to be but having these stalls does keep the old days with the slight touch of flea market vibe right here in the midst of Waikiki is a beautiful thing along with having some services like shave ice, or fresh fruit smoothie or even a henna is cool while you browse is a fun thing to do. It can get hot during the summer as it's obviously outdoors and no covering the vibe is busy while each cart seems like a repeat of others and wonder if some tenats have multiples. Thank you!

They want to peep it out.

Super busy market on a main tourist street. Fam got me loco moco for $9.99 the first time we went to Hawaii in 2022 and brought it back to our hotel for me. Excellent rendition of the Hawaii classic. However, this time it was $13.99 less than a year later in March of 2023. Serious inflation/gouging going on. Pathetic these days. Anyways, we tried the fried chix (very good) and loco moco again (very good). Some great takeout food, coffee, desserts, drinks, snacks here. Excellent except for the greedy price increases ie the 3 rating.

All things Bohemian & Nomadic vibes throughout this street market located in downtown Waikiki/Honolulu, HI. Such a funky landmark offering close to 100 Kiosks offering every type of souvenir, food, drink & CBD products. What a fabulous way for homemade vendors/artists & local business owners to showcase their merchandise. & for us visitors/tourists to pick up goodies for our loved ones back home...Aloha.

Perfect fit!

My kids wanted to pick up a few souvenirs for their friends. I've been to Duke's Marketplace before and thought it would be a good place to start. While the kids went from cart to cart buying trinkets and various little things, I came across a cart with Hawaiian pup clothing! My husband doesn't like me dressing up our Frenchies -- but I was sure he would make an exception for a Hawaiian shirt, right? :) I wasn't too sure about the sizing, but the vendor was determined to make the sale, so he asked a lot of questions about my pups. He then showed me every style he had in stock. After we figured out the size and style, the haggling began! He was actually pretty accommodating and gave in fairly quickly -- I got a great deal. We continued to chat a bit more until the kids were done shopping. Super nice guy. I'm happy to note that the shirt and blouse fit Percy and Maggie perfectly. AND my husband really liked them!

Simple Island breakfast. Brown rice and the basic.

Tourist spot if I may, It's decent and actually offer a lot of foods from poke of various kinds. It's also a market where I can pick up stuff I need while I am traveling-- personal care stuff, beverages, snacks, clothing. The works. Staff is friendly. I like it! Breakfasts portions are huge. I barely touched the rice but ate all the proteins. It is more tasty with Tabasco and soy sauce. Haha

This place has not changed a bit since I was last here in 2014. Located fairly far back from the street, it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. If you're going to the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet, they sell the exact same stuff at Duke's but Duke's sells the stuff at more expensive prices. Is it horribly overpriced like the airport? No, but just buy your stuff at the swap meet if you're looking to buy a lot of stuff. We bought a wooden dolphin box here on our last trip and these exact same kiosks are still here almost 8 years later. Not a must visit but if you don't plan to go to the swap meet, this is a good alternative for cheaper priced souvenirs.

My family was visiting from the mainland, and wanted to see Waikiki and pick up a few things to take back home. I brought them right to Dukes Marketplace because I knew they'd have a lot of cool and interesting souvenirs available. We got there shortly after noon, so it was pretty empty. Made it easier for us to get help when we visited the stands. This is the perfect one stop shop for souvenirs at a good price. There's something here for everyone. Multiple jewelry kiosks, t-shirts, tiki signs, pet clothing, you name it! There's even a stand that offers Henna tattoos.

When in Waikiki...we explored around in search of Duke's marketplace. It's quite hidden in Waikiki but not too hard to find since it's not crowded.. My aunt was specifically looking for this place and I told her they built the new International Marketplace where they used to be. But nope! Totally different marketplaces we were talking about as she was a determined woman. Anywhos, we parked at International marketplace and explored the strip until we coincidentally walked right by it. It's on the opposite side of Cheesecake Factory. Not too far of a walk, maybe 5-10mins depending on your pace. It's a bunch of tents down an alley. A bit tight to stroll through but manageable with a stroller. They have Hawaii souvenirs you can find at the swap meet, Walmart, and stores down North Shore. Quite pricey compared to the swap meet. The seller mentioned they pay a higher rent which made sense, le sigh. Nevertheless, aunt got some gifts for the fam in North Carolina and off we went.

Lot of things to see and shop, of course the price is higher. Go during weekends there's more stalls open.

Ask the Community - Duke's Marketplace

Is this open nowadays?

Went on 5/1/21 and it was closed.

Did they open back up yet. I was there in October and they were closed?

Duke's reopened July 2021 and hasn't closed since. Fingers crossed!

Is this open when it rains?

Yes but it hardly rains. And if it does it's is only for a short time.

Where can I park?

There really isn't any close street parking, it's best to park on one if the side streets a few blocks away, the more toward Ala Wai Blvd the better and walk over.

Great place to get those bargain souvenirs in Waikiki that you can't get at the "Supersized" International Marketplace.

Love this market!…read more Supporting small local biz who show the love of Hawai'i and the culture in their own way showcasing an impressive collection of items is what makes this market so special. Like many other markets who seems to be trying to find a place Ho'omau Hawai'i Market has been shopping around and I think I do love this current location at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom which was tricky to find if you're not paying attention like me as the ballroom sits on the 6th floor of the parking building so it's super convenient along with parking is validated at $10 flat rate which the staff was just so friendly to explain it all is nice. Happening over the following Black Friday weekend (Nov 26th & 27th), many are familiar and a few that is new to me browsing around in the cool air conditioning ballroom made the shopping experience nice. Weather it's picking up cute Turkish Towels and glassware from Kris Hawaii, Mamaki tea from Kihene, or my cravings at 'Ulu Chips and Hummus and many offered such great deal along with entertainment is such a calming vibe that has me shopping much more than I expected and the uniqueness is what makes this market so special. Thank you!

I just adore a crafty mind!…read more As a major crafter myself I love finding the creativity and boldness they all take to the next level is just inspiring. The amazing joy I find is that no two market is alike, as this December 2022 at Ward Village event was held in the former Pier 1 location next to Nordstrom Rack. I had a blast exploring @AdamJK uniqueness as each of us loved the realness we can relate to each item weather a time that says shhhh, I got a stress ball that says "Nothing Matters" and I'd really like the hat "I really don't know what I'm doing" for work lol!! His spirit was just so fun and bright :-) My other delight was One Shabby Chick @oneshabbychickhawaii and unknowingly my first tote from her was a collaboration with @makelemonadeproject a non profit to ease financial burdens and going though it myself instantly got me so of course I needed another tote! So many fun gifting ideas, Bas bookshop, jewelry ad even a random give away "fingers crossed" this pet friendly market has something for all. Follow Art + Flea @artandflea to keep updated on their events, crafty retail therapy is a real Art form! Thank you!

We walked across the street to the back portion behind Marukai. Admission was $3 for the adults. The two kids were free. There were food booths but we saved our hunger for Goma Tei in the Ward Center. I jumped on the bike that helped power the KTUH sound stage. I got a free bag from Kaleo newspaper. It had some cool goodies inside. At the Yelp booth, Raelyn played a trivia game. I won a Yelp thermos. Many vendors were set up in a two-story warehouse. We picked up some cool young women's clothes at a terrific discount. Andy Lee was making his art and kindly gave us a free sample. All in all a pretty good night for a family get-together or outing. Also, it seemed very pet friendly even though the theme was Tokyo. During some bedtime talk we agreed that this event was more art than flea, but the flea bargains were indeed great.
