There are dozens of…read morevendors, and yeah, some of them sell similar stuff, which honestly works in your favor if you're trying to grab souvenirs without paying Waikiki prices. But if you want something a little more special, definitely look for the local vendors. There are some great spots with handmade items. A few of my favorites that I actually bought from and brought home and I am using: - Cheeky Beach: super cute beachwear by Vivian and her son (they also have a shop in Haleiwa) - Touch of a Goddess: handmade jewelry by a mother-daughter duo - Leonardo Dale Photography: beautiful photo art of the island now displaying at my house. There's a ton to see, so go with time, it's a big market. They also have food and sometimes live music. Admission is $2 per person (cash only), and I'd recommend bringing cash since a lot of vendors don't take cards.

The stalls consolidated across the street and rather than walking all round the stadium, the stalls are lined in neat rows (some in conexs that open up to be a store. All my favorite stalls seem to have made the move - the food trucks have also made the trek across the street. Parking is available in the back and also by the tram station parking lot - just need to walk a little bit. Cost remains $1 for Kama'ainas *locals) and active duty military, $2 for all else. A great place to purchase touristy items, but also stuff you don't think you need until you see it. Check it out! I'm glad the authorities realized the need to keep the Aloha Swap Meet.

It's a bit of a cross between a flea market and a Chinatown. The prices will get lower and some vendors will wheel and deal if you walk away. I bought a carved coconut tiki mug that started out at $25--my hesitation brought the price down to $15. Dog bandanas went from $15 each this $10 each. You get the picture. If it's fun to look around and bargain, but be aware that we saw similar items at the ABC convenience stores (on every corner--like a circle k but much nicer) for, in some cases, a lower price. Still, is kind of fun to go

It is located very close to the International Market Place, to help visitors like me who hadn't realized what the International Place has become. Instead, coming here to interact with 80 or so vendors allowed the first time visitors in our party to get the souvenir shopping fix out of the way. I did notice quite a few stores selling Hawaiian style fashion for pets and dolls. My mother-in-law took advantage to buy a dress for our stone goose, standing guard over our condo back home.

The amazing joy I find is that no two market is alike, as this December 2022 at Ward Village event was held in the former Pier 1 location next to Nordstrom Rack. I had a blast exploring @AdamJK uniqueness as each of us loved the realness we can relate to each item weather a time that says shhhh, I got a stress ball that says "Nothing Matters" and I'd really like the hat "I really don't know what I'm doing" for work lol!! His spirit was just so fun and bright :-) My other delight was One Shabby Chick @oneshabbychickhawaii and unknowingly my first tote from her was a collaboration with @makelemonadeproject a non profit to ease financial burdens and going though it myself instantly got me so of course I needed another tote! So many fun gifting ideas, Bas bookshop, jewelry ad even a random give away "fingers crossed" this pet friendly market has something for all. Follow Art + Flea @artandflea to keep updated on their events, crafty retail therapy is a real Art form! Thank you!

We walked across the street to the back portion behind Marukai. Admission was $3 for the adults. The two kids were free. There were food booths but we saved our hunger for Goma Tei in the Ward Center. I jumped on the bike that helped power the KTUH sound stage. I got a free bag from Kaleo newspaper. It had some cool goodies inside. At the Yelp booth, Raelyn played a trivia game. I won a Yelp thermos. Many vendors were set up in a two-story warehouse. We picked up some cool young women's clothes at a terrific discount. Andy Lee was making his art and kindly gave us a free sample. All in all a pretty good night for a family get-together or outing. Also, it seemed very pet friendly even though the theme was Tokyo. During some bedtime talk we agreed that this event was more art than flea, but the flea bargains were indeed great.

The…read morefood and other vendors are a great mix of offerings, and although it impacts the parking for the driving range and golfers, it's just one night a week on Tuesday, so not too bad. I've been seeing all the food vendors but never had tried them until tonight. After hitting balls at the range, I was headed out and the aroma of all the food got to me, so I decided to get something to take home. I selected Keeks Eatz, and ordered the Karaage Chicken plate. The food is made to order, so it did take quite a while (over 15 minutes) to get my plate, but it was worth the wait. The chicken was still crisp when I got home and the portion was large. I could barely eat half the plate, so saved the rest for tomorrow. It's served with either tossed greens or a scoop of Mac salad, and comes with 2 dipping sauces; garlic aioli and spicy mayo. The market has a "core" of regular food and gift product vendors, with some others rotating in and out. They encompass the roundabout driveway fronting Jolene's entrance, and also use the event space inside, as well. It's a nice event that offers a great mix for everyone, with people around the neighborhood walking down the street to attend. I hope they continue for years to come.

Located at Bay View Golf Park, this Night Market happens every Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm. Our goal was to get there before 4pm for better parking. We didn't want to do the valet service for $5. Some cars were parked on the grassy areas along Kaneohe Bay Drive. We probably got the last free spot in the parking lot! My neighbor told me to get my food first as she would secure us a table on the Lanai (patio). Smart move! By the time I found her, all of the sofa areas and dining tables were full! There were many food trucks, food vendors, tables filled with snacks and baked goods, and some crafts, jewelry, and dog treats. It was kind of overwhelming, especially when the live music began. I finally decided to patronize Jenny's Birria because it was Taco Tuesday! LOL! My neighbor got a plate from middle eats - she had tasted their food in the past and enjoyed it! We probably will be back! Note: my neighbor checks out the Instagram page for the Bay View Night Market, looks at the list of vendors, then decides if she wants to attend or not.

You can find aloha shirts just about anywhere on Oahu, whether at expensive boutiques in Waikiki or in the nearest ABC store. However, the visual appeal of the shirt depends completely the eye of the beholder. With that in mind, there probably isn't any other store on the island that offers a broader selection. It's pretty overwhelming. The drawback is that the massive inventory is packed in a retail space so constrained that it can be a challenge to navigate. It took me a while to realize the shirts on the central racks are the priciest, some costing hundreds and (gasp) even thousands of dollars. There are used shirts along the wall that sell as low as $9. I wasn't particularly clear on the difference in quality, but I'll give you one guess which racks I was rifling through. The clerk explained that there were a couple racks of new shirts and the rest are vintage. Many of the shirts were produced in Hawaii. In addition to shirts, they carry an assorted collection of Hawaiian themed vintage souvenirs, antiques and knick knacks. Some of the items are pretty dusty, and had me thinking that they hadn't been moved in a long time. The prices are pretty hefty (except the shirts were reasonable). There were a number of customers scooping up shirts. I was a little claustrophobic to be honest in the tight quarters. There is no dedicated parking. Street parking is available if you're lucky.
