I think to this day, they have not provided updates on Gundam Newtype Challenge 1 promotional cards being distributed. Perhaps they apply for tournament status, get supply/get rare promo cards and then just cancel events citing terrible excuses and pocketing the profits from selling said promotional cards and product. My son is a huge Pokemon fan so while on vacation we made sure to stop by this shop. They have a huge variety of sealed product, along with cases full of singles and graded slabs. I'd say that the prices are on the higher end. In fact, there were a couple singles that we were interested in but it was priced over market and they're not open to negotiation because "it's priced when we get the item in." So unless you really really need the item at that time or it's a good deal, I would hold off and shop around. There are other local card shops that we found to be reasonably priced. It's not as easy to find since it's located on the second floor of little courtyard & there aren't any signs outside. You do have to press the buzzer to be let in and the parking lot isn't too big. We did go on a weekday so we didn't have a hard time finding a stall but I can see how it may be a challenge on the weekend. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. We used Aloha card shop to grade four Pokemon cards over a year and a half ago. I went to the store to complain and they just gave me an email address. Emailed and got NO response. Went back to the store to complain and was given the same email....this shop is responsible for losing a gold pickachu from lost origins, and milotic SAR, plus brilliant stars alternate art. Came here with my boyfriend to submit our cards for PSA grading. This would be our second time coming here for card submissions. Our first time we didn't have any problems submitting and receiving our cards but this time around we are having a horrible experience. 1) As a business, communication is KEY. We took our cards in for submission on 9/1/25. As the 65 day turnaround slowly creeped up, in order to follow up on the status of our PSA's, we were told to email grading@alohacardshop.com. My first email was sent on 11/1/25 (yes a bit early, but I needed to change the phone number listed). No response. Second email was sent 11/4/25. Still no response. My last email was sent 11/17/25. I called the shop asking why was no one responding to my email. They replied with "there are only two admins who are handling the submission, and they just came back from a card show in the mainland, and we are pretty overloaded so give them a few days to catch up." It is now 11/28/25 and there has been no response still. If you want to just keep wondering about where your card submissions are, then this is the perfect place for you. No communication whatsoever. 2) The day we brought in our submissions, there was what looked like a new employee who was helping us. He started taking out some cards out of the protection sleeve and started touching it with his bare hands! We have never, ever encountered that before and we think that was very unprofessional of them to do. Why would I want to entrust a company who doesn't train properly and touch cards for submission with bare hands? Why would you remove them from the sleeve in the first place? Overall, we will not give them any business anymore. Will update when our PSA's are ready to be picked up....at this rate it looks like we may not receive it until next year. read more

This store is good for tournaments and whatnot, but not so great as far as prices when compared to online. If you are doing a tournament, I'm sure it is comfortable, but there is a lack of seating for those who are either waiting or shopping and need a moment to sit. They have a decent selection of cards and a variety of games, but the organisation could be better. The workers are all regular, but not exactly friendly or outgoing. This is also understandable considering the type of business. One thing that was annoying was that they need to restock their shelves and keep them orderly. There was also an unpleasant smell, but that was probably from all the people playing in their tournament. I also noticed the interior is unfinished. All of these are okay though, but do leave an impression. Overall it is okay. Not as comfortable as purchasing online, but if you are looking for a community, this seems good. read more

I am clueless but was looking regardless finding this place I'm so thankful as it's located on Ward in one of the older buildings with Supercuts on the ground floor and with a few free parking stalls finding them on the second floor it's super easy and convenient to find. I'm sure they immediately notice I'm one of those that are lost lol but nevertheless was there if I had any questions but didn't bother or hover which I did appreciate as I lurked and searched for the items that I'm not sure what to get at all. Decided to get some accessories like sleeves and other items along with a few Pokemon cards just something simple to add to my gift set, they do have an incredible selection of card and more this is a great shop as they were just nice and friendly when I was ready got me checked out and on my way. Gone to the old days where there's rows and rows of cards and comic book, but I think this is the closest modern place you'll get to jelly's or gecko's sans the comics. I think the new thing is Pokémon cards but this place is super extensive. The have Pokémon cards like no other and if you have time you can find some gems in the unsorted cards. Overall the staff was really friendly and the place really clean. The card prices were very fair as well. If you're a collector out there or a just looking for a place to battle this is a good place to visit. read more

Reviewing for the hubs. Always checking out card shops when we visit a new place. This shop was particularly hard to find. There are no signs from the building outside. Entrance is inside a little courtyard, on the second floor. Felt safe. Cameras all over the place. You even have to buzz the doorbell so they can let you in. Great selection of sports cards, especially Pokemon. Lots of singles in boxes, although not sorted, you just have to look. Tons of wax. Pricing is comparable else where. Cool and friendly staff. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We called ahead to see if they bought cards and if we needed an appointment. They said no appointment needed and to stop by. My husband and sons brought in a few binders to show and the workers were beyond rude. They acted as though they were inconvenienced by them bringing in cards when they themselves told us to come in with the cards. My husband was instantly turned off by their attitudes and left. They're customer service needs a lot of work. This isn't the first time to the shop but on November 2, 2025 was one of the worst experiences here. The worker could have asked for the table nicely, instead of demanding for it. Other stores we play at will ask and we are willing to move but it felt as if we were being told to leave the store. This wasn't the first time this employee had a bad attitude also on another visit, he seemed annoyed that we brought in magic cards to sell. I have asked another employee about selling cards and was told I can bring it in. In the end I felt low balled by that employee and did not take his quote. My opinion this employee basically needs to be restrained on what customer service means. I got no name but it was the local kid with curly hair. I've been in here a dozen times +. Always had fun, they always have a good selection. It's often kinda crowded. The One time I try to bring in a few cards to sell. It was the most awful bizarre experience. The kid absolutely would not touch or look at my stack of cards. Just kept saying how much do you want. I would say do you want to take a look and pick any you'd be interested in? It was just a small stack of slabs. Would take 2 minutes. But he wouldn't touch them. I pointed at the slab on top. A easy 1k slab. That anyone who collects would want. I'll just say that. And he said I'll offer 300 for that. I said your offering below 30% and couldn't control my disgust. I left and haven't been back since. And never will. I'd rather buy and sell on eBay or Facebook marketplace. read more

On two separate occasions I have came here and both times been low balled. This store is crooked as shit. The first time I blamed myself for not being as prepared as I could be with my trade in values. This time I developed an entire spreadsheet based off of eBay last sold at 70 and 80% for the day. Went in for a trade in credit. They wanted to offer me 120$ less than 70% based off of eBay last sold for graded slabs. The slab I wanted was 650$. eBay last sold that day was 450 for the slab authenticity guaranteed buy it now from eBay and 420 off auction on eBay the previous day. They wanted it for $500. With trade in credit ( which was already severely low balled) and new asking total would have been 187$. I asked for 180 and they said no. They were alway way low (100$ below)based off of eBay last sold for graded slabs at 70% trade in and then way over eBay last sold for the slab itself. Just because there aren't many stores in Hawaii that sell Pokémon cards doesn't make it right for them to manipulate the market like they do. If you're coming here off island or even local on island your best bet is to sell on eBay yourself and buy from eBay. Unless you have the money and are willing to pay more than asking. I wouldn't support this shop but rather support local venders in Hawaii who truly care about the hobby vs monetary value. I will not be recommending this place to anyone that comes here. To reply back to the below owner: I want to be very clear: my trade values were not based on a single high eBay sale or cherry-picked comps. I used a range of commonly accepted platforms and data points--including recent eBay sold listings, TCGPlayer market values, and broader hobby pricing references--to arrive at a reasonable, averaged market value. I fully understand liquidity differences, margins, and the overhead costs of brick-and-mortar shops. That was never the issue. The issue was the significant discrepancy between the aggregated market values across multiple platforms and the valuation offered on the trade. This wasn't a misunderstanding of how the hobby works, nor an attempt to force a 1:1 trade on illiquid cards. It was a good-faith trade discussion based on widely used market data, and I'm sharing my experience so other collectors are aware of how valuations were handled. read more

I had a little bit of trouble finding the shop (you have to go up stairs to a 2nd floor). But besides that slight downside this store was amazing! The employee was kind, I requested 1 ascended hero's pack, and he took out his entire stock of ascended hero's single packs and let he let me pick which pack I wanted to purchase. There was a wide selection of Pokemon, magic cards, yugi oh, and more. Don't let the 1 star reviews fool you, those are all from people who are inexperienced with things like PSA submissions and how selling cards works. The Pokemon packs I bought (1 perfect order, 1 ascended heroes) and the binder I bought were all reasonably priced! I would come here again. The store owner also mentioned he used up his luck because he pulled the Umbreon ex from Prismatic Evolutions during Christmas so don't use him as the lucky person to pick your pack . Massive Pokemon bulk card selection, reasonably priced sealed products, clean space, and (most importantly) fantastic customer service. To preface: I have a very basic understanding of Pokemon card collecting. Our group visited the shop at opening to pick up some Pokemon booster packs and check out their bulk selection of older Pokemon cards (XY series). There were lots of customers, but there was plenty of space to browse and hang around. The shop had a good selection of sealed products behind the register and along the walls. We looked through the TCG storage boxes that lined the corner wall (near the window) in search of common/uncommon cards to complete our XY Generations set. Each box was labeled to help with identifying the box's content. These bulk storage boxes were packed tightly so there were lots of cards to choose and sort through. We later asked a staff member for help on finding specific cards. The staff member that assisted us was attentive and eager to help. They took the time to look through our list of cards we were searching for and answered all of our questions. They also offered to look through the inventory that was stored in the back to help us complete our set. We were very appreciative of how professional and helpful the staff here operates. The checkout process went smoothly. All of the singles we bought either matched online listing prices or were cheaper than what we anticipated! Overall, I enjoyed my experience visiting Aloha Card Shop. We will continue to shop here for more Pokemon TCG products. read more

Aloha Card Shop is better in my opinion for both sports and pokemon. There were many singles, packs + boxes I have not seen before or even heard of, not to mention ones I remember seeing in the 90s. Quality and price was definitely a win for me, as I waited for my son I had my 2 younger girls - they picked out shiny pokemon cards for $2-$3 each. How to get to Aloha Card Shop: 1. Drive into the Puck's Alley gated lot (right turn from University Ave.), pull a ticket, park on either the ground floor or second floor. 2. If you parked on ground floor, there is a glass door to an INDOOR staircase next to the entrance of Nijiya on University Ave. side of Puck's Alley. Otherwise, walk up the ramp to the second floor and go straight to the indoor hallway and turn right down a long hallway with a couple other businesses. 2a. If you parked on the second floor, head into Puck's Alley second level and they're at the end of the hallway. I met with Dorian, the owner and chatted about Magic and Pokemon and he introduced me to Metazoo. He's a wealth of knowledge when it comes to vintage MTG and Pokemon in addition to quite a bit of Japanese language product. They have an impressive collection of high end singles and sealed product including a Pokemon base set booster box, Japanese 25th Anniversary Booster Boxes, Celebrations ETBs, and reserved list MTG. I brought in a collection of cards to aloha card shop in which I felt was inaccurately comped by them because prior to that i had these sane cards comped out at two other card shops the same day, which pretty much left me feeling insulted. Also, compared to other shops, Their payout percentage was a low 25%. Overall, the whole experience was terrible. read more

These guys sells individual cards way above market prices. Make sure you check comps on the slabs or cards you want because the stamped price could be seriously over priced. They wont say anything if you buy a card thats way over comp. Smells like vape in the store. Cant see a business like this last longer than 3 years without going corrupt in the books. Excited to have another player in town in the sports card market! I haven't touched cards in decades yet still followed sports. Just started buying in to collect rookie cards of my favorite players. Guys here know there cards and are on the level. Prices are aggressive. Lots of blaster boxes to be had at a very reasonable price. Little tricky to find if you're not familiar with Pucks Alley. Easiest way is to park upstairs and head towards Paredo Power. Door to the store is to the right of the gym. Good guys and great deals! read more
