I visited this shop with a few friends for the first time, and unfortunately, the overall experience left me feeling uncomfortable.
When we first walked in, their small toy poodle barked at us, and it was not immediately called back or redirected. Shortly afterward, their large Doberman came over and entered my personal space while off-leash. The owner told me not to worry because the dog was friendly, but the dog was only called back after I appeared hesitant and uncomfortable.
I understand that the dogs may be friendly, but as someone who is cautious around unfamiliar dogs due to previous experiences, I would have appreciated the owner being more proactive about keeping the dogs away from customers who may not be comfortable with them.
The employees did greet us, which I appreciated. However, we mentioned that it was our first time visiting, and I didn't really feel like there was much interest in helping or engaging with us beyond that. There was also a noticeable clique-like feeling in the shop between some of the staff and other customers who seemed to know each other. As first-time visitors, it made us feel a little out of place rather than welcomed into the environment.
When we were leaving, we said thank you and goodbye, but didn't receive a goodbye in return. It may seem like a small thing, but combined with the rest of the experience, it contributed to the feeling that our presence wasn't particularly acknowledged.
I'm sure others may have a completely different experience, but unfortunately, I left feeling uncomfortable and not particularly welcomed as a first-time visitor. read more
