This store has absolutely everything from comic books, collectibles, MTG/TCG, D&D items and books, Warhammer, and also board games. Honestly if you are into any of those then this place is the place to come to. The absolute widespread level of inventory is only matched by how friendly the staff is and how comfortable of an environment they've created to spend your time there. They even put on events on nearly a daily basis depending what you're into. Pricing is very reasonable and I do majority of my shopping here as it is extremely competitive with online pricing. Not to mention being able to find the product that you're looking for locally is hard to find for most shops. The gameplay areas of the store are clean, tidy, and do not smell (yes... we know the stereotype of hobby shops). Plus they're always willing to spend the time to explain and help you get into any of the games they sell. I haven't played MTG for decades since I was a child and they were so kind to take me thru the differences from what I knew then to the large and vast game that it has become. They also make it simple to sign up on their website for Prerelease events and specialty game nights. I'm so glad to have found a store that has a staff that is passionate about the games as much as its customers. Thank you so much for having such a great shop to keep coming back to.

Everything is fairly priced as close to msrp as possible and almost never marked up unnecessarily high. This shop is basically the "third space/third place" I commit the most time at just hanging out and playing or just socializing with other hobbyists. From what I know, the original owner sold the company a few years ago and the lack of care shows. Upon first stepping into the store, you're hit with a wave of noxious body odor that's pretty darn pungent if I do say so myself...and no, this was not a one time thing. The last time I came was a Sat and the store had a decent amount of bodies in it. The first time tho was a few weeks ago when I went in on a random Wed or Thursday. Smell was still there. Employees ignore you, if there are any actually working. The aforementioned trip on a random weekday I was met with an employee sitting at one of the tables playing on a handheld gaming device. He completely ignored me for the 10-15 minutes I browsed and only paid me any attention (clearly annoyed) when I asked for a specific product. And this last recent time on a weekend? I don't think there were any workers. Just people playing games at the tables. I walked around, looked at some stuff but was forced to leave when my son sId he couldn't take the smell anymore. No one greeted us or asked if we needed any help. And that's the kicker. Armchair never used to raise prices and sold EVERYTHING at MSRP. They prided themselves on that and never raised prices even when inventory was low and items were a bit commodity to have. That is, sadly, no longer the case. Nearly everything I looked at in the store had been marked up 10-15%, if not more. Truly sad to see this business flush itself down the toilet like this.

Must be a rip in the time stream the Avengers fail to fix. So I guess we start all over. Located right above Queen Street Cafe and Grill (I know you read that review), is the place. Just cut this place into three sections: 1) Comic book rack and past issues. Selection is very limited with both present and past issues. They do have supplies like backing boards and sleeves. 2) Model/toy racks and shelves. This takes up a majority of the place. Mini figures, action figure, playing cards, models. They are here. 3) Gaming Table. After being shut for over a year, they are open. I don't know anything about gaming so you have to ask them. Overall four stars. I like the place but when it's windy and doors are open the comic books will be moving around. Now excuse me, kid and me have so reading to......before it disappears. M

Love that they partner/support community events like this. The place is small but packed with lots of interesting merch. I have zero knowledge about comics, games, anime, toys, cards, etc. but my kids' eyes lit up when they entered and my youngest couldn't leave without buying an anime plush. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Located in the Mililani Shopping Center. LOTS of parking. Support local businesses.

NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN!!!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but this needs to be documented. At Dragon's Lair in Mililani, my daughter purchased a $15 pin with her own pocket money. It broke after only three or four days due to poor assembly. When she politely returned to ask about a replacement, the owner, Lucas, spoke to her with extreme verbal abuse, profanity, and personal insults until she left in tears. When I addressed the situation calmly, he stated that he did not care that he had made a child cry and continued speaking aggressively. This is not about a refund policy. A business can choose its policy. This is about basic conduct toward a minor and a customer. We have supported this store many times, but after this experience, we will not return. Families in Mililani should know how customers, including little children, may be treated here. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable bringing my child back into this store.

Everyone here is always very friendly and welcoming. If you have any questions about anything regarding magic the gathering they are the best! They are very knowledgeable and if you are ever looking for a specific card they have a computer where you can look online and order from. Located upstairs from the Chinese furniture store, in the same shopping center behind the car dealership, they are usually open in the afternoon till late at night. But I would call ahead about their hours on some days. The shop itself is very clean with about 12 long tables for people to come in and play mtg against each other. Or on regular days to come by and hangout and casually play with your friends. This card shop's primary focus is on MTG and can be very competitive hosting FNM- or "Friday night magic" and weekly & monthly prerelease events. On the wall you will see picture frames with mtg themes and posters. There is a tv on the wall that will display a timer during competitions. They also sell snacks and drinks for really cheap like $1.00 or .50... however if you wanted to the owner Jeff, does allow you to bring your own drinks and food as long as you respectfully throw away your trash and keep the place clean. Of course they sell mostly mtg but they do offer Pokémon cards and some yugioh...they also sell protective sleeves, play mats and other accessories you may need like dice and boxes to hold your cards. Durdlezone is one of my favorite places to come to when it comes to just getting together with friends to play mtg or even watch my bf compete. I like that the atmosphere here is more relaxed and clean. However if your looking for a place that sells a lot of Pokémon or Yugioh this may not be your best bet.

As of this writing, the show is in its third year and has gotten bigger and better each time. Keep an eye on their website or Yelp events page for the dates and times. The show is held in Ala Moana Hotel's ballrooms on the second floor. Each year it has taken larger floor space and added dealers. Around 40 dealers/table participate bringing all manner of toys and collectables for kids of all ages. Admission is $3 per person, kids are free. Cosplayers also receive free entry! Tickets are sold at the door, cash only. It's laid out like an trade show with dealer booths and tables along the walls and center of the main room. Who participates changes from year to year, but it's typically the same local people; both from stores and hobbyists. The hotel provides water stations around the show, which is appreciated. The selection is not limited to: LEGO, action figures, video games, anime, DVDs, plush toys, Japanese imports, Funko Pop! figures, high-end statues, and comics. Basically, if it was or is popular, you'll find it! Most dealers handle exclusively in cash, but more are taking credit these days. To be safe, bring small bills for good deals. I'm a big fan of the "junk" bins on the floor; there are tons of deals to be had as sometimes people are just looking to get rid of merchandise. Thank you to the organizers for making this a fun must-attend event!
