It broke after only three or four days due to poor assembly. When she politely returned to ask about a replacement, the owner, Lucas, spoke to her with extreme verbal abuse, profanity, and personal insults until she left in tears. When I addressed the situation calmly, he stated that he did not care that he had made a child cry and continued speaking aggressively. This is not about a refund policy. A business can choose its policy. This is about basic conduct toward a minor and a customer. We have supported this store many times, but after this experience, we will not return. Families in Mililani should know how customers, including little children, may be treated here. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable bringing my child back into this store.

The place is small but packed with lots of interesting merch. I have zero knowledge about comics, games, anime, toys, cards, etc. but my kids' eyes lit up when they entered and my youngest couldn't leave without buying an anime plush. The absolute widespread level of inventory is only matched by how friendly the staff is and how comfortable of an environment they've created to spend your time there. They even put on events on nearly a daily basis depending what you're into. Pricing is very reasonable and I do majority of my shopping here as it is extremely competitive with online pricing. Not to mention being able to find the product that you're looking for locally is hard to find for most shops. The gameplay areas of the store are clean, tidy, and do not smell (yes... we know the stereotype of hobby shops). Plus they're always willing to spend the time to explain and help you get into any of the games they sell. I haven't played MTG for decades since I was a child and they were so kind to take me thru the differences from what I knew then to the large and vast game that it has become. They also make it simple to sign up on their website for Prerelease events and specialty game nights. Real orderly (not surprised) and clean large comic book and other fantasy games. They seem to have alot of employees working and stocking. It seemed like a lot of them may have been lacking in social skills or customer service. Upon entering I stood at the main check out counter and a handful of workers looked up saw me and did not acknowledge me or call somebody to help me and nobody smiled. I was about to walk out feeling I was outside to their realm because essentially I was! Just came by to get a gift card. My visit left me with the impression from my experience as "what are you doing here outsider" or "you can wait we dont need your business" kind of vibe. So the employee tried to brush me off, a paying customer. 2) If you want to go to events: Don't. The same employee runs events and he's incredibly rude. Hes got a long grey goatee and long grey hair. Very disgruntled. He literally yelled at me because I couldn't hear him because of the event going on. He was clearly annoyed because he recalls me coming in the day before to try to buy the Marvel holiday gift box. 2.a) When I tried to enter the FNM, he told me to scan the QR code on the TV and follow instructions. He didn't tell me I needed an app to scan the QR code, luckily the nice lady next to me told me I needed to scan using the app. Once I did, the app informed me to go to staff to register me. As I approached the same disgruntled employee, I was trying to inform him that the app told me to see him, and he immediately just asked if my name was on screen, which it was(even before I scanned the QR), and replied saying yes, and he told me that I don't need to keep going up to the front and that I need to calm down and relax. I'm calm enough to not get tilted by a salty disgruntle worker, but this message is a reminder to him and others, of his attitude, and that I've seen other reviews of his work ethic. It's located on the second story near the Banyan Tree; with big open windows it's hard to miss all the colors inside. Parking is validated for purchases of $10 or more, but it's much easier to get here walking around Waikiki. Their stores sometimes are overpriced, or charge more than similar stores. Despite the visitor heavy area, their prices seemed on par with what I would expect. At the time of this writing, they're having a 40% almost all of the store, which makes prices on some items even cheaper. Check sales on your next visit. They have all kinds of toys: action figures, ships, dolls, higher end collectibles for adults, board games, card games, puzzles, calendars, and cheap odds and ends near the checkout at the back. The clerk was super friendly to talk about the store and still attentive to handle customers. I look forward to dropping in on my walks.

As of this writing, the show is in its third year and has gotten bigger and better each time. Keep an eye on their website or Yelp events page for the dates and times. The show is held in Ala Moana Hotel's ballrooms on the second floor. Each year it has taken larger floor space and added dealers. Around 40 dealers/table participate bringing all manner of toys and collectables for kids of all ages. Admission is $3 per person, kids are free. Cosplayers also receive free entry! Tickets are sold at the door, cash only. It's laid out like an trade show with dealer booths and tables along the walls and center of the main room. Who participates changes from year to year, but it's typically the same local people; both from stores and hobbyists. The hotel provides water stations around the show, which is appreciated. The selection is not limited to: LEGO, action figures, video games, anime, DVDs, plush toys, Japanese imports, Funko Pop! figures, high-end statues, and comics. Basically, if it was or is popular, you'll find it! Most dealers handle exclusively in cash, but more are taking credit these days. To be safe, bring small bills for good deals. I'm a big fan of the "junk" bins on the floor; there are tons of deals to be had as sometimes people are just looking to get rid of merchandise.
