Ask the Community - Trading Card Resources

Do you guys look at and clean cards? I have this card which I noticed there was a small spot when looking at the card.

We do have a card prep and review service. This includes a light cleaning to make sure that cards are free of dust, debris, fingerprints, etc. We do not alter, "restore", or "repair" cards

Small comic/collectible shop in Mililani…read more Came here when they were hosting a Dungeon's and Dragon's event our kids were attending. Love that they partner/support community events like this. The place is small but packed with lots of interesting merch. I have zero knowledge about comics, games, anime, toys, cards, etc. but my kids' eyes lit up when they entered and my youngest couldn't leave without buying an anime plush. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Located in the Mililani Shopping Center. LOTS of parking. Support local businesses.

NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN!!!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but this needs to be documented. At Dragon's Lair in Mililani, my daughter purchased a $15 pin with her own pocket money. It broke after only three or four days due to poor assembly. When she politely returned to ask about a replacement, the owner, Lucas, spoke to her with extreme verbal abuse, profanity, and personal insults until she left in tears. When I addressed the situation calmly, he stated that he did not care that he had made a child cry and continued speaking aggressively. This is not about a refund policy. A business can choose its policy. This is about basic conduct toward a minor and a customer. We have supported this store many times, but after this experience, we will not return. Families in Mililani should know how customers, including little children, may be treated here. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable bringing my child back into this store.

I had over 2100 cards and scanned each one on TCG and got a total market value over over $600. When I went in Friday night to bring the cards the manager Stephen was not there but I was helped by a friendly gentleman that took down my information. I was texted Sunday evening by Stephen and offered $153 for everything! I was floored because that was no where near 70% of what the TCG market value was. I declined and he inquired on what price I was looking to get. I said I'd like at least $450 based on the market and being told 70%. He proceeded to say that there were "nearly 1500 cards...and average 30cents/card. No other store is going to offer more than $50 on it." I told him that there were 2182 cards and that we scanned each one. He then proceeded to offer $145 for the cards that "weren't bulk". I told him I'd be by around 5:30 and we could chat. When I arrived I told the young lady I was there to see Stephen. Another gentleman stood up and handed my box of cards. I said Stephen told me that there were some he was interested in. Stephen then came out the back and said these are the ones I want for $145 and if they get mixed in with the others never mind. I said you don't want to negotiate. He said I made my offer and turned and left. I was shocked at the rudeness and unprofessional attitude. I took my box and sat down with my family and counted all the cards to make sure they were all there because after that interaction I had no trust at all. All the cards were accounted for and we got up and left. I would never go back to this establishment based on this experience and advise not to use this business for trade in / sale. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 is because his staff were very friendly and kind.

Part of the multiverse???…read more Strange how I've checked into this location a multiple times and even wrote a review a few years back, but it doesn't exist yet according to Yelp. Must be a rip in the time stream the Avengers fail to fix. So I guess we start all over. Located right above Queen Street Cafe and Grill (I know you read that review), is the place. Just cut this place into three sections: 1) Comic book rack and past issues. Selection is very limited with both present and past issues. They do have supplies like backing boards and sleeves. 2) Model/toy racks and shelves. This takes up a majority of the place. Mini figures, action figure, playing cards, models. They are here. 3) Gaming Table. After being shut for over a year, they are open. I don't know anything about gaming so you have to ask them. Overall four stars. I like the place but when it's windy and doors are open the comic books will be moving around. Now excuse me, kid and me have so reading to......before it disappears. M
