By far the best kettle corn popcorn I ever had. I really enjoyed how their popcorn is more full and filling and not just the typical butterfly open ones. It's the mushroom open ones I believe its called. But all in all best kettle corn popcorn I ever tasted with a great popcorn to coating ratio. You can't go wrong, beats the powder and additional topping additives you can purchase at the stores. If your looking for the best kettle corn popcorn on island look no further then kettle corn Hawaii. You won't be disappointed. There is something about fresh kettle corn popcorn you just can't substitute. These guys definitely know what their doing.

A Must Have... 2020, we miss grabbing a few bags of kettle popcorn from Sam at the craft fairs, etc. Always a smiling face greeting people and showing his gratitude to serve the public with great popcorn . I was lucky to order a Santa's bag worth for my company to wish them a Merry Christmas. Thanks Sam and the crew... See you in 2021! Happy Holidays

Unbelievable, they should not sell all that 'rubbish' you see on the right ‍

We bought a $10 bag at graduation this weekend, a good part of unpopped corn kernels and the bottom of the batch. The popcorn was stale and salty too. The bag is not good to keep even a day. We bought it in case the graduate was hungry - it staved off hunger, but very disappointing. If you're going to charge this much, don't you think there should be more quality in the product? "Hawaii's biggest and best kettle corn!" I don't know about this...

Best Kettle Corn!!! We got to try some at the Yelp Monster Mash last night. My sister has had it before and loves it! We met Sam at the booth...he was so nice and friendly!! Gotta love supporting businesses that not only have a great product, but wonderful people behind it too! When we first got to the tent, my sis didn't see the cone-shaped popcorn-filled sample and picked up one of the bags of popcorn as a sample, and it just went from there...we kept joking about it and Sam was so funny as we kept adding to the joke! He ended up giving us a bag...very nice! :)

I was worried the small bag wouldn't look plentiful enough but holy moly it can feed two hungry people.

That's it. Occasionally I would get the Avalanche flavor popcorn. It's cheesy. But they sure do have a ton a flavors that I would try if I wasn't so basic. This store is unfortunately located on Dillingham Boulevard at Kapalama Plaza. If you didn't know, Dillingham Boulevard is an absolute construction zone with no left turns allowed. But if you take the back roads, you can get into the shopping center pretty much ok. There's usually one person working. They are always friendly. The store itself is simple. You walk in and see the popcorn machine. ON one wall is different types of Chinese crack seeds and dried fruits like mango. On a small wall are nuts and cotton candy. Above that are two monitors with flavors for bubble tea drinks. But again, I only get popcorn. So this review is just for popcorn. I like this location but not the construction in front of the shopping plaza.

Another colleague and I jumped at the opportunity to tag along on a Friday early afternoon. Located down Umi Street not too far from neighboring New City Nissan on N King Street, Samurai moved to their current location in 1995 serving Maui style sherbet, popcorn and other local snacks. They also expanded to Samurai Snacks Aiea for an impressive 20+ years before closing its doors in May 2023. We arrived shortly after lunch time where we pondered at the menu wondering what to get. It's not fancy here at Samurai - - the storefront is basic and nothing fancy with a few seats patrons can sit on if they decide to eat their treats on premise. Morale has been low at the office so I decided to get some convenient prepackaged 4oz assorted Samurai cups to cheer up the staff. My colleagues also picked up some bags of buttered popcorn with mochi crunch and furikake for an informal office party to welcome the much needed weekend. Because we were already there, we also got some soft serve cups to cool down before heading back to the office. My colleagues had the classic strawberry and blue vanilla swirl and I selected the mango. My colleagues enjoyed their selection but the mango didn't live up to my expectations. The color was vibrant and enticing but sadly the mango flavor did not come through. Each cup came with a sugar roll cookie that was delicious. After our cold treat we headed back to the office with our surprise for our colleagues where it was a big hit. There were many happy faces standing in line grabbing some popcorn and a 4-oz cup of Samurai. Overall, a much better experience with Samurai that's deserving of an update with higher marks. It has been noted in my books to stick to flavors I'm already aware of and avoid trying new ones for that possible disappointment that often happens to me.

The rainbow popcorn is already pre-bagged and comes in 3 sizes - small, medium, and large. I opted for medium for $5.69. I thought the price was fair and reasonable. They're a small kiosk inside Pearlridge, right next to TJ Maxx. There's usually a few minute wait since the popcorn is made fresh to order and there's only one employee, but it's definitely worth the wait! So far I've only tried the volcano, which is a hurricane mix with kakimochi and furikake. The popcorn is always crisp and evenly buttered with the perfect kakimochi ratio. They have 3 size options - you'll want to get the large because they're so good you could finish half the bag in one sitting. I had a friend try some of my popcorn a few days later and was surprised with how fresh it still tasted! In his words he said it was "to die for" lol.
