Iniki yhe only popcorn serving in the Pearlridge SC Mall at the Wai Makai or downtown (theatres) has wonders of flavors no other shops have! One will not know until going to the counter hidden are his favorable crack seeds that are not like the package ones sold at most stores! I believe he is the only owner that sells not the usual crack seeds that I grew up with. They are very unique and love the taste of each crack seeds I have tried. He has another store in Kalihi on Dillihngham same lot as Zippy's. His volcano popcorn is my favorite...furikake, mochi crunch and butter! If one has any social events sells it by the pound! The menu of popcorn costs is place fronting his counter booth.
Wonder was patient with us while we took a look at the menu since there was no long line. Popcorn is freshly popped. Came out quick and hot. Still crispy the next day! They also have cute pop ornaments leis, great for gifts and graduations!
This is by far the best kakimochi, furikake, popcorn mix on the island. I will only buy it if I see the owner guy doing the popping and mixing. He blends the perfect balance of salt, flavoring, butter, popcorn, kakimochi and furikake. Soooo good. The Pearlridge location and windward mall locations are definitely a place I frequent to get my fix. It's so good. You wish you could actually take this particular mix when going to watch a movie. Out of the three sizes I choose large all the time. You cannot stop at one chomping bite. I have never tried other toppings such as lihingmui but I am sure it's all so very delicious. The kiosk is unassuming in the busy mall. You smell the products before seeing the kiosk. It's all grab and go which is fine as you are just going to do some serious snacking!
Great popcorn while shopping at Pearlridge, located right outside TJ Max. Best to get a medium or large since the small is not as worth the price compared to a medium or large. My favorite is the Volcano with butter, furikaki seaweed and mochi crunch. yum! Service was quick!
I love Hurricane popcorn. It's popcorn with butter, furikaki and mochi crunch. This place calls it the Volcano. They have a stall in uptown and downtown Pearlridge. They recently opened a store on Dillingham. That's my favorite location as they sell drinks also. The popcorn here is always good. They use quality kernels, so the popcorn always come out big. The mochi crunch is always crunchy and never stale. If you like popcorn you should give this place a try.
Where have you been all my life!? First of all not sure how you're supposed to pronounce L1...is it a square lol! Well whatever it is it's some yummy popcorn here! A very simple kiosk right smack in the middle near the food court escalators it instantly captures my attention but I was looking for another shop which sadly was no longer there, sigh so in despair...mmmm snacks! With nine kinds of seasonings they do have quite a few to choose from but they had me at sour cream and onion sprinkled all over which is what she did first then came the ladle of butter wish a good shake to then finish off with Furikake...and this is "Iniki"! What I did notice is the popcorn is beautifully round and puffy like a mushroom popped so light and crispy it did hit the salty cravings spot for sure. They do of course have the local classic of butter, furikake and Mochi crunch which they call "Volcano" and a bunch of cheesy and Li Hing flavors as well. Just pop in at Pearlridge Center and check them out cause I know it's super corny to say how amazing they are! Thank you!

A large bag lasts pretty long. There is lots of flavor within each and every bite. Free popcorn at Pearlridge Mall! In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Pearlridge, L1 Iniki Popcorn was giving away free bags of popcorn! My friends and I were going to lunch on the Admission Day holiday anyway and I was the driver. I figured that Pearlridge was on the way to our lunch destination, so, why not stop by? I told them that if they didn't want the popcorn, they can give it to me! Haha! We found lots of free parking since the mall opens at 10am. We asked another customer where the Wai Makai wing was. It's on the theater side - with Longs on the lower level. Donna knew to park on the second floor of the parking garage, catch the elevator down, and the entrance is there... By Hallmark and Tony Moly. Wow... This Mall is challenging! We ended up being the sixth customers in line. The lady at the kiosk was very efficient and friendly. I got a small bag of Rainbow popcorn besides getting the little free bag. I like popcorn in general, so, it's a fun snack for me! Thanks to Daniel and Paul for giving me their bags of free Rainbow popcorn! Hee hee! It's crunchy and yummy! Happy 50th Anniversary to Pearlridge! Thanks for the delicious treat!
It stay good. Exactly what you want when you're craving flavored popcorn. Reminiscent of the old school popcorn you get at the carnivals. Wide assortment of flavors and combos. Satisfies both the sweet and the savory side. Generously flavored so no bland popcorn here.
The people who work here are very nice and friendly. As for the popcorn, this is the place to get good quality popcorn. Their popcorn or kernels aren't like the one you get from the supermarket and pop it in the microwave. It's also better than the movie popcorn. You get full blown popcorn almost a size of a quarter with light, sweet taste. My favorite is the Volcano. It's made with furikake, butter, and mochi crunch. The only missing thing is a good movie.
I came to both uptown and downtown locations @ 10am this morning. And NO one was at either location. I'm very disappointed, you LOST my business today and future. It's a special day for friend and I intended to buy 2 leis. So sorry for your loss
I LOVE popcorn. I've always passed by and resisted the urge to buy a bag since I thought I could just make it at home. Eventually, I gave in and now it's my favorite treat! They're a small kiosk inside Pearlridge, right next to TJ Maxx. There's usually a few minute wait since the popcorn is made fresh to order and there's only one employee, but it's definitely worth the wait! So far I've only tried the volcano, which is a hurricane mix with kakimochi and furikake. The popcorn is always crisp and evenly buttered with the perfect kakimochi ratio. They have 3 size options - you'll want to get the large because they're so good you could finish half the bag in one sitting. I had a friend try some of my popcorn a few days later and was surprised with how fresh it still tasted! In his words he said it was "to die for" lol. read more
I love a bag of freshly popped popcorn. It's always fresh & made to order. My favorite is the butter popcorn, and a scoop of mochi crunch. Eating some right after getting it, popcorn is warm fresh with butter & mochi mixed all together so delicious! It's affordably priced & generous amount for the small bag. The freshness of the popcorn stays fresh for a few days. That I know of... The small bag only last a few days for me. Service is always attentive and quick. The kiosk is located at Pearlridge Shopping Center. Formally known as (Downtown) officially called Wai Makai. You can't miss the kiosk it's located in the middle of Champs and Mr. Cow. First time coming here and been wanting to try their rainbow popcorn since it had been a long time that I've eaten any. I was greeted by a nice lady, on the quiet side. The rainbow popcorn is already pre-bagged and comes in 3 sizes - small, medium, and large. I opted for medium for $5.69. I thought the price was fair and reasonable. Had some when I got home and it was just as how I remembered - ono! It was a little more on the sweet side than I had expected, but good. They also sell popcorn lei and cotton candy as well as different flavors to add to your popcorn. There's something for everyone. read more

It's no secret that popcorn is probably my favorite snack in the entire world - just ask my hubby! I'm busy making it at home at least once or twice a week. When I go out to the theater or the mall and I smell freshly made popcorn, I'm intoxicated. No matter how full I am, no matter what mood I'm in, I absolutely have to have some. Pearlridge Mall had recently reopened for shopping after the COVID-19 crisis, and I was inspired to grace as many local businesses as I could. I was happy to grab some popcorn for munching on in between stops. I ordered the small original with mochi crunch. What stood out for me is how big and fluffy the kernels were! Very satisfying. Next time, I'd like to try one of their specialty creations, add furikake or butter, or jazz it up somehow. Perhaps I'll really be ready to commit to finishing an entire bag - especially if I order Kettle Corn! read more
Can't leave the mall without some. What we normally call hurricane mix would be their Iniki. Trademark stuff... Their mixes are awesome. The kernels are on steroids and they stuff enough mochi crunch for everyone. No skimping at this pop corn stand. Give it a try. The prices really are decent for the amount of popcorn you get! Along with the freshly made popcorn mixes, they also have flavored almonds, rainbow popcorn, popcorn leis, caramel corn and cotton candy. read more

Stopped by for more popcorn at the downtown/wai Makai location. Daughter wanted the tsunami and I got my usual butter with furikake. Always delicious and fresh popped when you place your order.. So your bag has not been sitting there waiting for you to buy it....it's so good and addicting. I have a hard time practicing self restraint with their popcorn because it's so good! I watched the girl pop the corn and noticed her flick out a popped corn that looked darker than the others.... Love the attention to detail and commitment to providing an excellent product! Came here to redeem a gift certificate ('tis the season) and because it was my first time I wasnt too sure on what to get. Luckily the menu is clear and the prices are farely cheap for the sizes youd get! I really liked the variety, from sweet to salty, and the owner was helpful in helping me pick. Everything was fresh and made before my eyes. My 10.00 ceritifcate got me a medium bag of flavored popcorn and a small bag of rainbow (kettle corn) popcorn! Perfect gifts! read more

Okay when they say it's Hawaii's Best Popcorn... it really is! Kernels are big and every time I've come here, they make it fresh for me. Not sure if I'm just lucky or that's the way they do it. The volcano without extra butter is my favorite. Just the right amount of Furikake and senbei! Definitely get the medium or large size. It's way better value! Ok so honestly I didn't think much of this popcorn stand but after seeing several people in the mall walking with them I had to check out what they hype was. I'm a fan of hurricane popcorn (box kine) and decided to try it out. Good laaawwwdd, I get it now. The popcorn was freshly popped and much larger than the ones you can get at the movie theatre. I came all the way to pearlridge to meet up with someone and found an open charger down by Longs, so I decided to park my car for an hour and wander around pearlridge. I honestly haven't been here in like 11 years. This mall is nice! It wasn't crowded at all, I could charge my car without being harassed like at kahala mall, and I found a place that rivals carousel candy land in kahala mall. The lady working the little kiosk was really friendly. She pops the popcorn right when you order, so you know it's super fresh. I got the volcano flavor: Michu crunch, furikake and butter. The medium size is $7! Steep, but I say it's worth it. Especially because I wasn't really feeling any of the food places. Who wants pandas when you can get popcorn!!!? Lol. They also sell nuts, popcorn lei and cotton candy. Yum! Andddd she takes credit card, woohoo! read more
