Growing up, getting Dippin' Dots was a rare and special treat, so any time I get the chance to have it again, I go for it. I only recently discovered there's an actual Dippin' Dots store at the Waikele Outlets (probably because I don't go there too often), but I'm glad I stumbled upon it! I got a large cup with a mix of Rainbow, Cotton Candy, and Hawaiian Crumble, while my girlfriend kept it classic with Cookies and Cream. As soon as I took a bite, that nostalgic feeling hit me hard. There's really nothing else like Dippin' Dots. The tiny frozen beads are just so fun to eat, and the texture is super unique with that cold, melt in your mouth crunch. Out of the flavors I tried, the Hawaiian Crumble was easily my favorite. It had this pineapple crunch flavor that was both refreshing and tropical, perfect for a warm day. My girlfriend also enjoyed her Cookies and Cream, which had a nice creamy taste with chunks of cookie goodness. Sure, the prices are a bit steep, but for the fun, nostalgia, and experience, I think it's worth it. Dippin' Dots isn't just dessert, it's a throwback to childhood in a cup.

Great service. Easy to find. Honored free birthday scoop coupon. Thanks so much. Got to mix two flavors in a cup. Very refreshing

Dippin' Dots is an iconic dessert shop in Waikele. I remember when I was young, my mom and I would catch the bus just to walk around. Me being a kid just looked forward to eat here so it's nostalgic for me. I got the cookies and cream dippin' dots. It was alright tasting. I thought it would've been actual flavored cookies and cream dippin' dots but it was more so vanilla flavor with cookie chunks. Not really tasting a good cookies and cream mix so I was slightly disappointed. I should've gone with a classic banana split like I used to get when I was younger. Still overall a classic dessert shop, it is on the pricier side though with what you get. It is nostalgic for me but for the price and quality, I would rather go to Walmart to buy dippin' dots ice cream(yes Walmart sells them, i was shocked and excited when I found that out)

What's not to love about Dippin' Dots? If it's too expensive, don't buy it!? I used to patronize the now-closed Ala Moana location for years but it seems this is the only surviving store on Oahu. ATMOSPHERE: Located at the Waikele Premium Outlets, they share a space with a neighboring biz. No indoor seating, just communal outdoors, thankfully shaded. There were numerous flavors to choose from, so many that I simply asked if Banana Split was available, which it was! MENU: Ice cream, sundaes and floats. THE GOODS: Banana Split - $5.99 (small) This is the only flavor I've tried and order because it's that damn good! Tastes like the real thing too with no less than four different colors representing chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and banana. And, I've never seen a "banana split" flavor in supermarket freezers which makes this unique to DD. Being in scorching Waikele, the beads melt fast so you gotta pound it down quick which was a slight problem for me as people that know me, know that I take forever to eat as I savor every bite! SERVICE: The sole gal working was friendly and professional. FUN FACT: DD freezers are colder than most, storing them at -40° F. OVERALL: Eating tiny balls of ice cream never gets old.

I can never complain about a lil dippin' dots. Desserts is my guilty pleasure and I must admit there is always room for dessert no matter how full I'am.

Made my day running into this gem. Anytime I see dippin dots I have to have. Banana split is my goto but also got a bit of cookie dough on top. Location is following covid guidelines and is super clean Mahalo

It was such a big surprise to find this dessert place. Their little ice cream dots are very novel and delicious. Probably not the healthiest thing in the world, but if you wanna treat yourself something sweet every now and then, and happens to be in the mall, this is a good choice for you to go. We ordered the small size, and already felt a lot to share.

I usually get the kiddie size, mint chocolate ice cream and split it with my mister. I've tried other flavors which are good too, but it's always mint chocolate I crave for the most. We sat and ate our d&d at a table right outside and a visitor sounded like she was from Australia? Was amazed and asked? What is it you are eating? That looks quite interesting, like little stones? She had to call her husband to take a look at the "ice cream stones" we were eating. Haha. This is the perfect treat to have when you need to cool down and take a break from shopping. I love d&d and hope they never go away!

More expensive than a Ben N Jerry's pint!!

I don't understand why Dippin Dots is so expensive and I will probably never know. Somehow whenever my daughter sees a Dippin Dots, I have to get her a large Cotton Candy and Cookies and Cream. It's just ice cream shaped into little balls.

So, this is my first time visiting Dippin' Dots in waikele. I really love Dippin' Dots but the place I went to it wasn't to good. The girl that was working that was like rushing me to buy something from her. I was still looking to pick what kind of flavor I would pick. I don't like being rushed because I'm picky with what I get that's why. Like I never knew that the price went up!!! IF it was that pricey i would've went to Ala Moana and get a Large cup for $8 instead of $11. I wasn't to happy with the price too. Plus the large cup doesn't even look like a large more like a size medium because it was shaped like a cone. I thought it would be in a bigger cup but i guess wrong. I really love Dippin' Dots so I'm not giving it less than a 4 star:) Good thing about this place is that you can pick 2 flavors in one cup:D

$6 and she didn't fill to the top.Yet,girl that was working was eating icecream while I was outside. doubt she paid for that!

You can even make it a pre-Costco shopping delight stop. The menu is always changing but it feels like there's always something delicious to be had. My favorite is the Rocky Road where they actually add marshmallows on top and toast it for you. The Buttah Cakes has also been a recent gem that we've tried lately and it's absolutely delicious. Since it's freshly made, it's rich, creamy, and even a little scoop goes a long way. They even make waffle cones in store if you want to spruce things up for your dessert experience. The staff are friendly and handle rushes of customers well for the size of the shop. We're lucky to have a great shop like this in central Oahu so you don't have to drive all the way to town for a great ice cream fix.

Let's just say this place changed A LOT over the past years. Service: 3/5 Waited about 5 minutes to get my order taken. There was a couple in front of me and the worker was chatting with them only. I was not aware of what she was doing until I realized I was waiting for a bit so I looked for myself and saw she was making a waffle cone. Would have appreciated if she told me "Be right with you!" She at least said thank you for waiting. Service used to be a bit more efficient from what I remembered in the past. While we were inside and eating our ice cream, 2 parties came in. They were waiting for about 3 minutes and I saw one of them looking around for the worker who went to the back. All we did was just shake our heads at this moment... Food: 3/5 Holy, these scoops though too. My sister and I paid $11 total for these tiny kid looking scoops. Ice cream tasted good but tastes mediocre now. I wanted a fruity flavor so I got the honeydew flavor that tasted like a melona without the stick. My sister's peanut butter and strawberry one was pretty good. However, I remember when they used to have flavors that I could not get elsewhere but it feels pretty basic nowadays. They give bigger single scoops at Baskin Robbin's for the same price or even a couple cents more. Ambiance: 5/5 I say there's ample enough seating and it feels clean and comfortable. I like sitting near the window but I just don't like that their one and only trash can is right next to that table. Verdict: I am not sure if I will be coming back. I noticed their flavors don't change as much as they used to. I remember being excited to see what's new but after today it seems like they been keeping things the same for awhile now. Between the size of the scoops, service, and the flavors I am not sure if I want to come back.

The Dole Whip was pineapple and on the tart side. It was perfect on this hot day.
