Not so Cappy... Came to Pearl Kai Shopping Center and decided to give Baskin Robbins a peek since I was craving something cool and since it was Christmas Eve some shops were closed and parking was just wide open making it an easy stop. Walking in it was nice and empty with the exception of a couple folks enjoying their treat at one of the tables in the shop. I paced back and forth looking at the many variety of flavors many popular ones was empty making it even tougher to decide with what they had left and waited and waited for a staff which a lady finally came out and I asked about their "Cappy" item they have displayed on the counter and if it was a shake or smoothie but says it's like a Frappuccino dessert made with a coffee base was interesting and decided on one to which she asked what size and got a small. She got straight to making me one and once I got it was quite disappointed that it was basic as I noticed her scooping from vanilla though the other flavors you're able to get it in are classic, caramel praline, chocolate fudge, Oreo or what the display that I pointed out was "Peppermint Fudge Cappy"...$7.11 for a small and it was vanilla...meh! She honestly looked as if she really didn't want to be there and I just interrupted her moment of silence with the look of disgust as I myself just finished a 9hrs Christmas Eve work as well and missed on some places that I wanted to attend but it s what it is and to just acknowledge what flavor I'd like is not much to ask for though it was good and not trying to say the product wasn't good just was sad on Christmas Eve to have such disappointed service. read more

Walked in promptly at 9pm after eating dinner at Oh My Grill. There were 2 females employees working. There had to have been about 12-15customers in line. Older Asian female worker in the pink shirt seemed irritable that the line was growing and was more concerned about cleaning 1hour prior to closing. She even turned the light off in the ice cream show case when one customer was trying to place his order. Which he rightfully complained about. The younger employee in blue was doing her best assisting the long line of customers while trying to work around her irritable coworker who I assume is a manager because she ended throwing on her jacket and hiding in the back instead of helping the other employee serve the now 15-18 customers in line. My family and I ended up leaving because service was taking way too long. Maybe the older female employee should try making her attitude as bright as the blush she puts on. read more

Gosh.... I get it your about to close and know you are over helping people but really.... Sanitation should always be priority. I see you wiping down the freezer doors when we walk in, we ask to sample one flavor so you put on gloves then use the gloves to move that dirty rag you were just using. We move over to the next freezer chest to look at other flavors and you grab that same dirty rag with your gloves and continue wiping the freezer doors then when we decide on a flavor you make our ice cream with that same dirty gloves. read more

We made the mistake coming here on the 31st...If you have the app there is a discount promo for every 31st of the month.. It was really crowded and had like 2 workers that I could see...They was overwhelmed but got their jobs done. This one is located within pearlkai stripmall along the walkway after "Ricardos" italian restaurant. Airconditioned with a few tables (To seat probably 12 people max) insides smells like sugar (as it should being an icecream place) ...There is an empty patio area directly outside IMO where they should add outdoor seating...The staff was overwhelmed and definetely not really welcoming but it is what it is...just for icecream we would comeback ...if its the 31st be warned but hey its icecream so its all good!! read more

Baskin-Robbins can be hit or miss but so far so good with this location. Only thing is it's usually a bit warm which is odd for an ice cream shop but I've noticed it's common for Baskin-Robbins period. Also, been here more than once and noticed their beverage cooler is not cold so the beverages stored are just slightly colder than room temperature. Service has been good enough for me so far. It's usually the same young girl working no matter what day/time we come and she's always by herself. Not sure if there's anyone else in the back but I've seen her service just us and a full shop all by herself and she may not be the most outgoing but she's courteous and does her job without being rude. read more

The service here is always a hit or miss we go due to the convenience.. also sometimes you get bigger scoops which is a plus but I will now pass on going here. Nobody was in the front when we first went inside so we left and came back.. Upon already eating, I found a long thick hair scooped into the ice cream which matches the employees hair. I wanted to throw up but we ate on the way to our next stop & I didn't finish it for obvious reasons... very disappointed! read more

If you haven't downloaded the BnR app, you need to. Rewards are great. Decided to redeem a free medium frozen drink reward. I usually just get ice cream but it was a warm day so I marched in and asked what qualified as a frozen drink. Server was very nice and took the time to explain it was smoothies and the Mangonado. I had to ask what the ingredients of a Mangonado were and he patiently explained Mango, chamoy, and Tajin. Sold! So I ordered my free medium Mangonado (a $7.99 value!) and loved every sip. The drink was nice and thick, the mango, was sweet, the chamoy added a nice touch of tart ands salty, and the Tajin took the drink over the top with a tiny bit of heat and its other flavors. The Tajin was nicely swirled through the drink and it made a beautiful red contrast to the bright orange/peach color of the mango. I savored every sip, and there was a lot is spa because the medium is a very good sized drink! Also love their 31% off ice cream on the 31st of the month. They even tell you the best deal is a triple scoop on these days. If you are like me and can't eat three scoops all at once, just take the rest home and put it in your freezer for the next day. I also love how they decorate the ice cream cakes where you can watch - it's a work of art and fun to watch the creation coming to life before your eyes. Servers at this location are also always friendly and patient, even when there are long lines on the 31st. BnR ice cream may not be as fancy or rich or unique in flavors as some of the craft ice cream shops but makes up with the large variety of flavors, with a rotating flavor of the month, and a great rewards program, so it's a nice change of pace from craft ice cream shops from time to time. read more

I love taking my daughter for an ice cream treat. She loves her ice cream in a sugar cone but I prefer mine in a cup. Less calories lol As we entered, we were greeted by the nice guy behind the counter. I definitely liked that. I decided to get Reece's peanut butter ice cream with the pralines flavor in a cup. Pretty pricey for two scoops and two scoops on a waffle cone. It was worth the trip for ice cream. There's several tables inside the location. Parking spaces are located up front. Kind of limited. read more

1-16-23 We were asked to pick up a pre-ordered and Pre-paid birthday cake. Easy favor since it was on our way from our home to theirs. The cake was a pretty pink color. To me the wording seemed a bit tiny and squished together and looked like one letter was misspelled. Luckily no one else noticed. The ice cream cake held up on the ride there and was packed nicely in a sturdy unpeekable box. There was enough for all the immediate family guests. My habit, I ate the inside first, the Oreo ice cream and white cake, good tasting. I left the pink frosting on the cake, sworn chocolate frosting lover. When I saw the price I was surprised how high the cost has increased since I myself ordered one many years ago. All in all, a clever and pretty way to serve dessert with the ice cream and cake in one. Sparkler candle was used and spectacular to watch. read more

Disrespectful and slow service Girl working threw pen and paper literally on the cake so that I can write what I want on the cake. She didn't even show me the writing after she frosted it on. If I was writing this review for the ice cream only it would be a five review as I luv luv luv every one of the 31 Flavors I have tried. Unfortunately, there's that thing called the human element which has repeatedly dinged the stars to around 2.75. A couple of examples you ask?? Okay, earlier this month I called on a Monday to order a cake for Wes' 20th birthday.....mint chocolate chip with chocolate cake, Happy 20th Wes. Simple enough. Got there Saturday morning at noon as advised but the cake wasn't ready.....really? No problem the associate whips out a naked cake with mint chocolate chips and proceeds to frost and decorate. Okay I'm now being patient and waited the ten minutes for her to finish and box the cake. Bought a couple of quarts of Rocky Road as most family members aren't fans of the birthday boy's favorite. It's all good. Cake home, dinner done so time for cake and ice cream. Omg, the cake said Happy Birthday West! Two weeks later I call on Wednesday because I have a haircut scheduled on Thursday and wanted to pick up ice cream on my way home. Ordered two quarts of Rocky Road (their RR is phenomenal), one Pralines and Cream and one Mint Chocolate Chip. Said no problem she'd make sure they were in the freezer. No problems she said. Okay, haircut done and I drive to Pearl Kai on my way home. Walked in and said I was picking up my order from yesterday. Oops, so sorry, no Rocky Road in pre-packed quarts but they'd be happy to hand pack two for $12.99 each, prepacked is $7.99 each but also we're out of Mint Chocolate Chip. I asked if they would check the freezer as I ordered the day before and was told they would be held. Nope, nada. Rather than be angry I turned around and walked out. There are other ice cream places but I do love the ice cream here. read more

Service was terrible. We didn't even end up being able to order due to worker ignoring and couldn't acknowledge that we were there & waiting patiently. Another family before us ended up leaving as well due to no acknowledgment. Employee was making an online order which is completely fine but all that needed to be said was "I'll be right with you". The cherry on top was after online order was finished, they went to their order coworker to look at a book and they looked back to see if we were still there waiting. We ended up leaving due to not feeling welcomed from the very beginning. read more

Okay, is it just me, or have the cups that hold the single scoop of ice cream gotten a lot smaller??? I literally have been coming to BR since I was a kid and now, I bring my own kids here. This last time we went in, all of us ordered a single scoop in a cup. The cup was a puny minuscule 4oz cup and the scoop was definitely NOT a generous one for paying about $5 for it. You would expect the scoop to be high and almost overflowing the sides of the small tiny cup for that price. That's my main beef here. I was done in 3 bites and left unsatisfied. I remember getting a single scoop before and it used to take me a while to sit and enjoy it and I felt satisfied afterwards. I paid over $15 for 3 single scoop cups and we were all done with this "toddler's portion" in about 3 minutes. I did, however, find the customer service pleasant. We were greeted and immediately offered samples. Friendly and efficient service. The ice cream we sampled was just meh. Flavors were not popping like I last remembered. I always go to the good ol' mint chocolate chip cause it never disappoints. The flavors I sampled (dragonfruit and mom's milk & cookies) just didn't do it for me. I think it's time to seek out more local businesses that sell ice cream and frequent here less (unless I need an ice cream cake) sadly. I just can't see spending that much for so little. read more

I bring my kids here at least once a month for a treat after a week of school. My special needs son usually orders the same thing but this one worker always knows what he's gonna choose and always asks if he wants to try another ice cream. Can't go wrong with a place that has 31 flavors of ice cream. Stopped by this location in the Pearl Kai shopping center just to satisfy our sweet tooth cravings. Guess what, they are back to giving out samples. So my cousin, fiancé, and I were sampling their latest flavors. They had one new flavor, Ube and Coconut swirl as well as a flavor of the month. We were having a blast sampling flavors again. The staff working that day were super friendly. They were happy to assist us and were quick to help others as another group came in for ice cream as well. I ended up ordering a medium milkshake of the Ube and Coconut Swirl. The flavor was more so on the coconut side, but it worked really well as a milkshake. I should have gotten a small as the medium was too much for me and became too sweet to finish. The person who did make my drink was really generous with the ice cream scoops. Overall service was great! read more

This BR is located in the Pearl Kai Shopping Center on the Diamond Head side of the center parking lot. The interior appeared clean and there were tables available. We were promptly greeted upon entering. After perusing all the mouth watering ice cream flavors, we made our decision and placed our order. Contactless payment was available and worked like a charm. 1-start deducted for price. $13 for 2 waffle cones stings the ol' wallet. read more

We had littles, we were early, and so we decided on ice cream to pass the time. With COVID restrictions, this location allows for 5 customers at a time. We ordered 3 cups and hubs got the chocolate dipped cone, and when we ordered sprinkles for the kids, they were in for a treat because we were given a whole cup full of sprinkles for the two of them! There's no seating, so we ate at the car in the parking lot. That decision was a good one, as when we left, there were sprinkles all over the ground. Better on the ground than in the car! read more

Great place to get ice cream, especially on the 31st! It is now $1.70 for one scoop of ice cream in a cup, sugar cone, or cake cone. Always get a cone because it is part of the price! The staff are pretty friendly. At times, their cash register doesn't work and it's hard when you want to pay with your gift card on their app. I would always confirm prior to them making your ice cream whether or not their machine works. I bought an ice cream cake that was mislabeled as chocolate cake. It was a white cake and the birthday boy was very disappointed. I barely go to Baskin Robins, the ice cream is okay. It isn't special or as savory and creamy as other ice cream parlor. The inside is always out dated & the prices seem to slowly creep up. I got a Caramel Turtle ice cream & a Moms Makin cookies (flavor of the month). The flavor of the month was a 4/10, it tasted like butter with cookie dough. I don't think I would get it again. The Carmel selection was a 7/10 due to the large amount of Carmel. This ice cream was NO Sugar Added but with the high amount of caramel I'm sure the ice cream had more sugar or was equivalent to others. They do offer sherbet the, Sundaes, cakes and cookie sandwiches. It's a good solid choice just to curb an ice cream craving. read more

I'll forever love Baskin Robbins for their ice cream, it's always the last minute changes or customer service that really makes the stars in my opinion go down. I came in today thinking it was dollar scoops and was told that didn't exist today I'm not to sure if it's just for this month or indefinitely, that on months with 31 days in it their not doing that anymore. So that was a bummer for me. On the other note I ended up getting the banana royal and to me the scoops were a bit smaller then what I usually get but overall ice cream was amazing so i didn't let that bother me. I guess next time I'll ask? But all in all it was great and I loved their hot fudge tonight. read more

We paid over $60 and then tipped for mostly milk and a half melted ice cream!!! When we walked in it was very hot and there was a fan pushing to the doorway but it's only blowing hot air. I pointed out to my mom that the Ice cream in all 3 freezer sections had lots of flavors melting at more than just the top which means the freezers weren't working well. When my mom went to the worker to asked if something's broken she just said "no" and made a face then after 5 seconds said "just the AC but it's fine" and my parents and I all just looked at each other and carried on. We wanted to order egg nog for my brother as he wouldn't have really enjoyed any other flavors and when my mom and I asked them if they had anymore one girl said "don't know" so my mom asked if there's any more in the back and she said "ohi don't know...maybe?) and just stoood there staring at us. I tried to order an ice cream as a milkshake and I picked out a flavor that I'm sure tasted good but could hardly taste as it was so much milk and barely ice cream. We got my Nana's pistachio ice cream and it was legitimately half melted by the time we got back to the car which was parked right outside. So I got a small milkshake and it was so liquidy that it wasn't really cold just cool (ish). We I stared as the girl put it down and made a comment on how it's very liquidy and she just looked at me and turned away. We then ordered 4 more large milkshakes (2strawberry & 1PB&choc and I forgot my dads flavor) and all of them were very thin as well. We pointed out that it was the thinnest consistency out of all of them and that there wasn't much color anyways which shouldn't happen as chocolate and peanut butter are darker colors. We asked the girls if they can try to fix it and they said "well there's nothing else in the bin" and then she waited 15 seconds and said "we can just put more chocolate but no peanut butter" (mind you there's another ice cream flavor that was pretty full with pb&chocolate) so we just stood there and looked at them for a bit then just said "never mind" and she just said to swipe my card. I was gonna pay cash but because she was already ringing in as a credit card charge I got my card out and she just kept staring at us. We then just paid and left. Yes I still left them a tip because I'm not an a-hole. I've been going there for years and I mean YEARS and I've never once felt so uncomfortable and as someone with social anxiety I feel absolutely discouraged from last nights experience with those 2 young ladies.
