If it's free and "good", it had better be worth the drive, right? Since T-Mobile gave its customers a free pack of Cinnabon Mini-bites, I thought... Why not? I can't remember the last time I ate a Cinnabon. I never had Cinnabon Mini-bites, so, gosh... I should try it! I drove to Pearlridge because Ala Moana Center is probably more crowded. Both have free parking. There's probably less traffic to Pearlridge... Hmm... Pearlridge it is! Located upstairs where Consolidated Movie Theater is, Cinnabon is in the far corner from the escalator. This Food Court has been nicely renovated! Service was satisfactory. The cashier watched me press "Redeem" on my phone and explained that my order would be ready in a few minutes because a new batch was "cooking". Okay... I'll come back after I take some photos of Rainbow Drive-In in the opposite corner of the Food Court! I took my package home and gobbled up the Mini-bites. I think four little Cinnabons look less intimidating than a large Cinnabon that needs a knife and fork. Four Mini-bites are more manageable and easier to eat. Mmm! Late review...but, as they say, "Better late than never". After having lunch at Koromo, we roamed about Pearlridge Mall's Wai Makai Market figuring we'd either get in some steps or catch a movie before returning back into Honolulu. Ohh, perhaps the idea of walking about a food court wasn't as good of an idea as it originally sounded being that we were stuffed to the "gills" from eating perfectly breaded and fried katsu. As we walked toward the theatre to view the movie posters, we stopped in our tracks when we saw the CINNABON sign at this corner stall. Needless to say, it's hard to bypass these ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls with their cream cheese icing. There was a line of 5 people as we made our way to this cinnamon roll vendor to check out their menu and to breathe in the wonderful aromas of baking bread rolls, butter, and cinnamon-sugar. The woman at the counter was so cheery and full of Aloha to all the customers ahead of us and with us, too. We were going to just order 2 regular sized Classic Cinnabons ($4.29 each) and figured on taking them home. However, the woman suggested that we try their 4 ($13.99) or 6 ($15.99) pack. We told her that it's just the two of us in our household and if we got the larger 6-pack, it'll be too tempting to try to not eat them all within a couple of days. Plus, we thought about how far we'd have to walk or run or how long we'd have to work out to burn those calories. Tsk... in the end, we happily succumbed to her upselling and got that 6-pack and made sure to increase the distance of our urban hikes to 15 miles a day for the following 2 weeks. I had an early morning appointment at Pali Momi. Without anything for breakfast my sweet tooth convinced me to go to Pearlridge next door, to the food court on the top, next to the theaters. A bit too early for the other vendors to be serving so... I knew that Cinnabon would be open. Yee ha, hadn't had the Pecan Bon or Chocolatta in ages. Didn't see mention or signage for it so asked and the female behind the counter said she could make one for me. She took a regular one from the showcase then with her back to me, went about turning it into an ooey gooey masterpiece. Either I was voraciously hungry or it just tasted out of this world and devoured it, slowly, enjoying it till it was all gone. Years ago I would only be able to finish half... not the case this time. If I named a favorite food Cinnabon would be number one! Love the cinnamon and the sugar and of course, the fact its a nice warm bite of dessert before heading into the movies at Pearlridge! Now Ive been here a few times and here are some things Ive noticed... (1) They are understaffed and when they experience a rush they are unable to fill their warmers - MEANING very long wait times (2) Lack of consistency on pricing and procedures 1x regular Cinnabon 4.50 (this is a warm Cinnabon from the warmer) 1x pre-packed 6 pack of Cinnabons (found on the display near the register) 16.00 (these Cinnabons are room temperature) If they SELL OUT of pre-packed Cinnabons (regular size or mini size) they are UNABLE to sell you a 6 pack of Cinnabons from the warmer! They will charge you the individual price x6 (Ex. 4.50 per Cinnabon x 6) - Makes no sense! THIS IS THEIR POLICY! Dont bother fighting them. *Loophole! While watching the dog costume contest I decided to grab ne a treat, haven't had these rolls in yrs. Its pretty much same like I recall but more cinnamony less icing which I prefer it opposite. They do have extra icing but it looked like it had enough next time I'll grab extra icing and a mini roll instead of the traditional larger roll. They even have bite size treats. This is the 2nd time recently going to pearl ridge Cinnabon buying a 6 pack of large Cinnabon. Both times I asked if the ones in box are fresh and they say yes. It is Far from fresh . They were old and tasted terrible. They should stop lying to customers by telling them it's fresh because they tasted several days old. An OG dessert that I will forever crave for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Same location ever since I can remember. In the corner of the food court next to the movie theaters is where you can find this gem. I remember frequenting Pearlridge a lot during my younger days and sneaking one into the movie theaters. But now I'll just pick one up on the go or after my shopping sprees. The only thing I do not like about this place now is that they have the audacity to ask if I want extra frosting and to charge some change for it? Are they that desperate? I mean, I frequent this location the most, sometimes even weekly for that matter. Some of the original Cinnabon's look skimped as far as the frosting is spread. So I rarely ever give such a low rating and rant about a place unless they really rub me the wrong way. Cinnabon at Pearlridge manage to do that. First, I don't expect like spectacular service from a place like Cinnabon but when someone is straight up rude and condescending then I will have a problem. I ordered 2 sets of the mini bites which I mistakenly said small Cinnabons but had pointed to the mini ones. Thought the girl would understand but I guess she was not paying attention. My fault for calling it the wrong thing. Anyway when I realized she was putting the small Cinnabon in the container.. I had mentioned that I actually wanted the mini ones but she since I had already paid, I didn't bother asking her to change it. Plus she seemed like she did not want to with the tone of her voice. When I looked in the bag, I realized there were no napkins.. so I asked her if I could have some napkins. She gave me, what I felt like was an attitude, and asked me, "Isn't it in the bag?" I said no there wasn't any. So she grabs the napkins like it's a big chore for her to do. I politely say thank you realizing.. why am I even being polite to her when she is being so rude to me. Okay maybe she had a bad day or really hates her job. I decided to just let it go.... Well later I open up the box and I find that there are 3 small cinnamon rolls when I had asked for 2. Also saw that she charged me for 3. So this wouldn't bother me at all but it kind of just topped it off after her rude customer service, she could not get the order right. I love to eat Cinnabuns, and I will buy one if I haven't gone over my calorie limit for the day or if I'm going to watch a movie. I have been coming to this location since they opened back when I was in high school. The frosting was much better back in the day, I think it had a tad of lemon and exotic cinnamon. It's hard to tell how long the buns have been sitting under the warmer, but I like to pick out the bun with the most frosting on it, and the workers don't mind. I always buy extra frosting because I have a big sweet tooth. Most of the time it's very soft, but occasionally I will get one that's a little hard outside, but it's the gooey inside that's my favorite part. If you order it to go, they will pack it in a box and you can stuff it in your bag to eat it at the movie theater next door. The movie workers don't allow outside food, so I wait til the lights go down to eat it. Their iced coffees are also excellent and I don't even want to know how many calories are in it. Something about that ooey gooey cinnamony goodness just has a way of eliciting happiness. I've never had a bad experience here. Staff has always been friendly and attentive and the goodies have always been wonderfully delicious. Our favorite besides the classic cinnabons is the center of the roll cups. I also really like their iced coffees that are so rich and refreshing. Aiea is a good hour's drive away from Waianae so i'm REALLY hoping that they open up a store closer to the west side. I recently went to this Cinnabon location because I was emailed a coupon for a free "Mochalatta Chill" for my birthday. I only had a few days to redeem it, so I wanted to take advantage and try the drink. I've been wanting to try one of their "Chill" drinks for the longest time, so here was my chance! I didn't want to put up with the Pearlridge crowds, so I went during the week around 10:30 a.m. I figured it wouldn't be as busy, since it was a school/work day. I was able to find a parking rather easily and quickly made my way to Cinnabon. While my drink was delicious, I can't say that customer service was superb; hence, my lower star rating. There were only two girls working since I came soon after opening, but the girl who helped me was extremely rude. As a customer, I wasn't asking for much -- I just gave her my printed coupon and asked if there was whole milk in the mix, since I usually get soy. But she acted like it was a huge bother and inconvenience to answer my questions. And really, it wasn't like there was a long line or that the store was even crowded. She didn't even close the cover of my drink well, so when I took it, the contents spilled all over my hand. Then, when I asked for napkins (napkins were nowhere in sight for customers to help themselves), she rolled her eyes and gave me ONE napkin (thus, I had to ask for more, since the spill was pretty significant). Please teach your employees more about basic customer service. I just ordered one thing and knew exactly what I wanted. How much more troublesome it would have been if I were a difficult customer with a huge group of people! Hopefully the same employee isn't working during my next visit, but I don't even go to this Cinnabon that often. This specialty beverage featured a combo of coffee, chocolate and ice, resulting in a smooth, sweet, blended drink. It was delicious! I loved the blend of coffee and chocolate; it was smooth, rich and velvety. Plus, my coupon was good for a free large size, which made every sip even sweeter. "Creamy Chillata": This creamy indulgence has to be at the top of my must-try drink list for next time. It includes an exclusive blend of OREO cookies, vanilla and ribbons of Ghirardelli chocolate sauce. YUM. I love Ghirardelli chocolate because it's homemade (whether it's dark or milk). And, because "Cookies & Cream" is one of my favorite ice cream flavors, I'm sure I would like this cold concoction. "Center of the Roll": It's been a while since I've been to Cinnabon--and I don't really go often--so this bakery treat was new to me. I actually don't know when it debuted, but it looked delicious and I had to utilize every ounce of willpower to NOT order it along with my drink. This treat features the best part of the Cinnabon roll (the center) and really capitalizes on that ooey, gooey goodness. Ever since these folks left, I've missed the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls but I'm happy to see they're at Pearl Ridge. They still have the same freshly baked rolls, oozing with a delicious covering of cinnamon sugar with the buttery flavor in every bite!
