I love Vina so much that I have been coming here pretty much everyday. I love the starberry taro smoothie so much because of how sweet and smooth it is. To me, this is way better than Thangs because their recipe has more ice and is basically a slushiee. The flavor was a bit watery too. But Vina has the right texture and the flavor is so much better. The boba is nice and soft and chewy. Usually always empty when I come in and I will be the only one in the store so my drink comes out fast. There's a parking attendant who wanted to charge me $5.99. She had me scan the QR code where parking is free for customers who stay less than 2 hours. The attendant argued that I returned to my car from the neighboring building. I told her that I didn't know because I hardly ever come to Aiea. Delicious smoothies!! Visited this shop on a hot day and the smoothies were super refreshing. Very nice service and the cashier was friendly. Had a couple tables and chairs to sit and chat! Their most popular mix is the Strawberry Taro Smoothie, which I added lilikoi jelly to. I've never tried that fruit combo before but it was so good!! Love how many options there are here! J took a recommendation from their chalkboard and got a soursop+mango smoothie with bob pearls. It was so fresh and delicious! Soursop is a unique ingredient that I haven't seen at many drink places so I was excited to try something new. Lots of space inside with adorable decorations and aesthetic (for pics if you want) getting into parking lot was a little confusing, I think my GPS directed me to exit instead of entrance so I missed the turn. I'm not one to write reviews on boba first of all but this place is worth the hype. After having gone to the place 2x every week now and seeing how they've stayed consistently good, here's the review. The place is a bit of a hole in the wall. Simple inside with tables and bar seating. Parking: Free Prices: Cheaper than the competition Freshness of Fruits: 5/5 100% They have a few items that are powder based like taro and coconut so try and verify with them. The fresh fruit blends are amazing. My go-to is the lychee with pearls. The way they blend the drink here is incomparable to anywhere else that I've been. It's so smooth (as a smoothie should be). Service was attentive. They take your order and it's ready in about 5 minutes. Please note that the minimum order is $10 for card transactions. They have plenty of snacks there to pair with but I recommend just bringing a plus one so they can enjoy a drink as well. Please support local! They deserve recognition!! Fresh is best!! Vina Cafe in Aiea basically does just one thing fresh fruits and we're so blessed to have this year round here in Hawai'i and they certainly do take full advantage of that. You're able to see their storefront from Moanalua Road and free parking is right in the back and there's a stairway that will take you up to the shop...I parked near Aiea Manapua if that helps for location. As I scan the massive menu board what I do love is being upfront with items that are flavored using powder such as Coconut, Honeydew and after a long work day I was just craving something to give me a boost and though this would be perfect. #1 it is for me Peach and the sweet lady who probably runs the place asked me if I can tell her how much it was lol and of course I tell her honestly it was $6.50 on the board though the sign on near the register says $6 is probably old and seeing her bring out a fresh peach I was already happy with the new price. It did take her very long and I was excited as it all held together so perfectly, BunBun taking a massive sip herself was the ultimate approval...the peach flavor wasn't all there and that's really due to the fruit so you know that it was fresh and it wasn't sweet at all just the natural sweetness from the fruit and omg I just loved it. Traffic was heinous so figured I'd try a new smoothie place out. I figured it was in Aiea plaza with pho time and ended up missing the lot which was convincingly hidden from those who are coming from the Aiea bowl side. If you follow the alley past it or the hill by the church the lots connect. To preface like tea time you'll need a 10 buck transaction to use any card. As for the place it was surprisingly empty and the aunty was quick to take my order down and make my drink. I ordered a strawberry peach smoothie with boba. The drink itself was massive and while I only noticed at the end she forgot the boba the drink itself was tasting amazing I almost didn't care at all. Super clean with slightly elevated taste with not unnaturally thick pieces getting stuck. I also noticed they got cheap popsicles and ice cream also and maybe I'll get some next time. Overall I loved the place and would try them again but would prolly have to order a boatload of toppings or double fist next time. read more

We decided to try Vina Cafe again and opt out of the dairy. Not too sure if this was an off day but with no customers in the shop, the wait time was quite ridiculous. Vina Cafe makes one of the best strawberry taro smoothies! I love coming here to grab a refreshing smoothie on a hot day. Since they blend everything to order, be prepared to wait if there is a long line - but it's worth the wait in my opinion! The strawberry taro smoothie has the perfect blend of sweetness from the taro plus the tartness of the strawberry. It's such a good combo and also their #1 drink! I really enjoyed my visit here. It is definitely not a café that you see off the bat when you are hanging out in the Aiea plaza here. Usually, I get my phone and then I go to the store next-door for a boba. However, this is now under my radar for different options of drinks, just in case I get that craving. Inside is a very minimalist and clean seating spot to hang out and watch ongoing traffic haha. You might only notice this location by driving by it. What hit the mark for me to go here was that I was looking for a fresh smoothie location online that looks like they use actual fruits. There was certainly a number of fruit options available that you don't usually see in western smoothies shop. It's not your fancy combination of fruits that you see in Lanikai smoothie or Jamba Juice. Just the fruit ingredients with the option of adding additional fruit or Boba. I was so tied between soursop, jackfruit, and mung bean. I settled with one flavor of jackfruit smoothie. Next time I will try the mung bean smoothie because mung bean usually has health qualities to cool body temperature. And Hawaii is hawt. We also got a fruit cup of just watermelon for $5 and my husband got a blueberry smoothie, no boba. Overall, I really enjoyed the smoothie product. It's authentic. It reminds me of the time when I go to Southeast Asia and grabbed smoothies, no artificial taste, just fruit blended up. I do think they have a coconut one but it's noted that it uses powder, which is fair. The other only place that I can get smoothies like this are the mom and pop shops in Chinatown. I really enjoy the fact that I can have plenty of parking and grab a similar product somewhere in Aiea. The lady serving us is a sweet and patient woman. I was having a tough time deciding what to try and she reminded me a lot of those nice aunties. Definitely will head back to try other flavors to get my fruit intake. read more

We came back on a Sunday at 9:15 am to find the store is closed. DO NOT come here at 9:00 am on the weekends. Their hours need to be updated as no one is there, even though the hanging sign and Yelp says Open. Although I placed a phone order, still had to wait 30+ minutes for 3 drinks to be made which honestly is fine in my opinion because it's "fresh fruit" -- we also understand only one lady was working at this time and four other customers were already in the shop waiting before us and none of them had their drinks yet. Rating is solely based on the taste and quality of the drinks. The 3 drinks ordered were soursop lychee, strawberry watermelon, & regular iced milk tea. Soursop lychee 4/5 -- good flavor but I don't like how its milky, I did not know they it's a milk based drink I thought it was just fresh fruit / ice blend like most Vietnamese fresh fruit boba shops. Also my boba to smoothie ratio was off, after drinking less than half my drink I already had no boba left :( lol Strawberry watermelon 3/5 -- can't taste the watermelon it tasted just like a strawberry milk smoothie. But again was not aware it was a milk based drink. Milk tea -- 0/5. I don't know what they use in here...but it's not like any milk tea I've ever tried in my life. Call us crazy but it literally has a pork or chicken taste to it doesn't taste like traditional black milk tea you'd usually get at a boba shop...my sister said it tastes like a blend of coffee and meat so I don't know what else to say about that.
