Healthy smoothies and panini and salads hidden inside the gym! This place is a gem.... It's located inside the Hickam gym. They have breakfast burritos and you can add bacon. They have salads, sandwiches and my fave is the pesto panini! Their panini and smoothies are so good!! If you work out here it's convienent to grab a smoothie after or a bite. I'm sick of all the other unhealthy options on base so this places makes my stomach feel good and happy! My taste buds are amazed. read more

First timers at this place and it didn't disappoint. Not only do they have smoothies, they also have paninis, wraps, salads and breakfast items on their menu. We mainly went there to try their smoothies after hearing rave reviews from friends. We ordered the Screamsicle, Shag-a-delic, Crazy-Bee, Frozen Goat & Chocolate Elvis. All were delicious!! What makes this place even better is the staff, super friendly and eager to serve. Only con is if you don't have military base access you won't be able to try it. We did have a bit of trouble locating the place. We knew it was near the gym, but little did we know it's actually located inside of the gym. Thanks to the wonderful staff who answered our call and helped us find them. Hours of operation are not what is listed here on Yelp. Not sure if hours were changed due to the pandemic. They close at 6pm M-F and are closed on the weekends. I recommend you call before heading there just to make sure. Parking shouldn't be a problem, ample parking available across the street. They are located in the Hickam Fitness Center lobby. Products: Smoothies, Acai bowls, wraps, breakfast, paninis, stuffed pretzels, salads, chips...what's not to like? Their smoothies have a significantly lower amount of calories compared to Jamba Juice. They also offer Gluten Free smoothies. A lot of their smoothies have some wacky names, such as Shag-a-delic (strawberries, blueberries, bananas, nonfat milk, yogurt and vanilla), 2 Piece Bikini (strawberries or cocoa, bananas, nonfat milk, vanilla and fat burner blast), and Frozen Goat (coffee, bananas, cocoa, vanilla, nonfat milk, yogurt, and energy blast. They have a whole bunch of other smoothies to choose from. My favorite so far is Grape Ape (grape juice, strawberries and energy blast) I LOVE their Chicken Caesar wrap and Cheddar Jalapeno pretzels. Price: Comparable to Jamba Juice Service: Pretty darn good Hours: Needs improvement. They close about an hour or an hour and a half before the gym closes and they are closed all day on Sundays. True Story - A while back, I was grabbing a panini to-go from Planet Smoothie. When it was ready, they handed it to me in a paper sack, and I made for the door. Two ladies were enjoying smoothies at a table. As I passed, one of them asked me, "Did you get a panini? May I see it?" "Sure," I said as I whipped it out for her. She responded in amazement, "OOooo... It's sooo big!" I replied the only way a gentleman should reply to lady when she says that to him: I simply said, "Thank you." She was right: the panini's are pretty big, and they're tasty too. For less than $6, they're a good value as well. I usually get the Feta Chicken or the Basil Chicken. In addition to the paninis, you can get wraps, salads, breakfast, and of course smoothies. I've had a smoothie or two, but none of the other offerings. The smoothies are pretty good. I usually wind up with raspberry seeds in my teeth, and that bugs me. They also have really weird names, like "Frozen Goat" and "2 Piece Bikini." That amuses me and counterbalances the raspberry seed problem. Planet Smoothie is located inside the Hickam Fitness Center, so you might want to grab a smoothie after your workout. But if you grab a panini and someone asks to see it, please remember to be a gentleman. read more

The people who work here are super friendly. When i was stuck here when the garbage truck was stuck on the freeway, we plotted various courses to take me home via google maps and traffic reports. I've also seen them charge customer's phones from behind the counter. Love this place. This place is on the Hickam base. When I use to have military access, my sister and I would come here all the time after we worked out at the gym. Yea it is in the gym, so how can you miss it. We will have our work out and that will get totally defeated by their awesome snacks and smoothies here, but it is so so so so good here, we even come here on our non-work out days just to eat too. They have great sandwich, pretzels, acai bowls and smoothies. My sister loves the acai bowl. I always use to get the pretzel pizza or pretzel with cheese and the panini sandwich with pesto. So good. 2012 Resolution #3: Eat healthier So I'm on my quest to eat healthier, I finally experienced what Oprah and Dr. Oz pegged the "superfood", acai berry. The purple pill sized berry of the Amazon claimed to have high amounts of antioxidant properties sounds as if it provides miraculous positive health effects. There have also been some unproven claims such a increased men's sexual virility and sexual attraction to women. Well, I'm expecting the next chapter in the Matrix to offer a purple pill next to the blue and red pill. So instead of providing blissful ignorance (blue pill) or painful reality (red), the purple pill will provide unwavering immunity and mojo. I am not claiming to be an acai bowl expert, but this isn't my first time trying it. I have tried Lanikai Juice's acai bowls, but found them to be on the blander side. However, Planet Smoothie's acai bowls, also made from Sambazon acai puree are a bit more on the coarser texture. From what I understand they freeze the apple juice which is mixed with the acai puree. Topped bananas, strawberries or blueberries, light and crisp granola and organic honey makes this a blissful bowl of immunity! So if you encounter Morpheus, take the purple pill. Trust me, you'll thank me. For you guys, your ladies will thank me. read more

With recently moving to HI and no home to move in, in the near future I was phening for a super yummy protein shake. I signed up at Hickam Gym for a yoga class and stumbled (literally) into Planet Smoothie. I am so used to having a smoothie place at my old gym so I finally felt at home. They have a huge menu with food and other items. All I know is that I've had so much Jamba lately that I needed something different. I ordered the Mr. Mongo. I chose the strawberry (You can get Chocolate instead) with yogurt, skim milk and vanilla protein. It was delicious. I ordered the largest one and it was HUGE! I ended up having to split it. I look forward to many more stops after my runs around the base or after I'm hitting the weights. My new goal is to try every flavor they have. Will be continued. read more
