The employee started scooping strawberry instead, and even after we politely pointed it out, there was no acknowledgment or apology--just silence. It made for a really uncomfortable interaction. While we were eating, the employee went into the back, and we could hear her loudly scrolling on social media with the volume on full blast, even laughing at times. Toward the end of our visit, she came back to the front, sat down, and continued on her phone. The entire atmosphere felt so awkward that we decided to leave and finish our gelato in our cars. Even as we walked out, there was no thank you, no goodbye--no acknowledgment at all. It was honestly disappointing. That said, the gelato itself is actually really good, and the interior of the shop is nice. That's the only reason I'd consider coming back. Unfortunately, the service really brought the experience down. Proper customer service training is definitely needed. It was a wonderfully sunny day with a cool breeze! I sat at a picnic table with bench that had a great view of the customers and the great service by Wes. Wes is very friendly and thoughtful. He would make each order by himself and deliver to vehicles parked on the other side of the road. I ordered the Pono Bowl and substituted banana for kiwi - no extra charge. Wes offered to top it for free with Nutella or Condensed milk if I was an Instagram follower... yes, I am! Nutella, please! The strawberries, blueberries, and kiwi were sweet and fresh!
