Hapa bowl no Greek yogurt

Best acai bowls ever. Do you ever bring home lunch but secretly hope something better shows up at work? I only work in Ewa beach a few days each month - just so happens to be on the days SHAKA BOWLS is at my workplace. I never eat my home lunch on those days. Shaka bowls is the highlight of my week. Seriously. I hear the poke bowls are good too but I don't know. The acai bowls are amazing. Follow them on IG and chase them down.

Shaka Bowls can be found in Ewa Beach Geiger Park on most days. Please note that this is a food truck, BUT on Instagram, they often share where they can be located at. We live close by and usually walk over to see them parked. We never got to order from them, so one day we ended up purchasing the Shaka Bowl. This is a pretty general acai bowl topped with fresh cut fruit (blue berries, strawberries, and bananas) and granola. This was a great refreshing treat to enjoy while at the park. Service was also very good and quick. We'll definitely try the other bowls in the future.

On days when I don't have home lunch to bring to work, Shaka bowls comes to our working place for a couple hours 2x a month. I'm always glad to grab a poke bowl from this husband and wife!! Always ono never disappointing.. I usually grab a mix of whatever choices they have for that day. Since I usually grab lunch a bit late. I take whatever they have left. For $11 I'm satisfied!! Follow their IG page to see where they will be located during the week. Also to see what's available for the day. Always glad to grab food from them when they are on the Ewa side. I've yet to try their fruit bowls. I always walk up to the food truck thinking i'll grab one their bowls. But can't resist grabbing a poke bowl instead. One of these days I will!! Until then, poke bowls please. Combo if their specials if can.

I really enjoyed the Shaka bowl! Perfect ratio of smoothie and toppings! We order the regular and it was enough to share! But they also have the mini size. Don't want a smoothie bowl? They have poke too.

Crazy journey to locate this truck on the school lot ! Good luck to anyone who attempts to come to the school on a Thursday between 1030-1! Friendly and helpful owners. Beautiful views from the top and delicious acai bowls!! Got a special off menu bowl! Monkey (peanut butter walnuts chocolate chips banana honey over acai) so yummy!! I love the texture and blend of flavors. Definitely worth the trip. Best acai bowl I've tried on the island. Regular for $9

Best Açaí bowls on the island!!! Great serving sizes!! So good that I have driven across the island from Ewa to Sandys just to get my fix! So if you see this truck make sure to stop and try it... even the poke bowls are bomb! Great customer service! Great Açaí! What more can you ask for! Much Aloha to the ShakaBowls crew!

Acai bowls made with love

I ran into these guys out at Sandy's one day and let me just say that I was amazed at both the craftsmanship and the flavors these guys have put together there! I have been trying Acai Bowls all across the island and these guys are definitely in my top 5. The granola was flavorful and delicious! The acai wasn't watered down and had a great acai flavor. The fruits tasted fresh and they came with some yummy toppings! These guys pop up at farmers markets across the island and are commonly seen outside of Sandy's Beach on the weekend.. go stalk them down on their IG https://www.instagram.com/shakabowlshawaii/ and try one of these awesome bowls! They also appear to sell a poke bowl for lunch that's on my list of things to check out!

Kalo & Haupia crunch

I like how they have a variety of toppings, especially from chocolate to kalo (taro) & the original acai bowl. I believe you could also take certain toppings of (already set acai bowl) and add additional toppings listed I love that they have 3 different sizes for the acai bowls. Their small size is perfect for kids, but of course good for adults if you dont want to eat that much. I got the monkey acai. Has banana, granola, chocolate chip, caramel & peanut butter. If you are a peanut butter fan, this is right up your alley, but if you arent (like me), you can have them take it out. I didnt know that they mixed the peanut butter in the acai, I thought it'll just be a drizzle or a slab of peanut butter on top. So you could taste a lot of peanut butter flavoring, it over-powered the whole bowl, so I didnt like it much. My bf did, but im just not a huge fan of peanut butter. We also bought the shaka bowl, poke bowl, and Kalo & Haupia crunch. My bf REALLY loved the kalo & haupia crunch because he loves poi, especially the kalo cubes, hard to find those Cash & card accepted. Definitely coming back. Also best to follow them on instagram for updated locations, they always post where they'll be and new menu

I love their Açaí bowls. Family Favorites are the Shaka and Ling Hing Bowls. The Shaka has bananas, blueberries, strawberries, granola, honey, bee pollen, and açaí. The Ling Hing has Ling Hing fruits; mango, blueberries, pineapples, strawberries, granola, honey, and açaí. The açaí used in their bowls are not too sweet or bitter with an aftertaste, as some are. The fruits are fresh, good quality, and a perfect mix with their flavorful açaí. I like to take them home and put it in the freezer to enjoy later. Mmmm, so delicious! The owners, Kawai Stanich and Ilene Cabagbag, are so friendly and professional. You can follow them on Instagram or Facebook: @shakabowlshawaii or www.facebook.com/shakabowlshi for their schedule of locations. Enjoy!

Buy more acai from him, he's too adorable!!

I love the food truck feel in Hawaii, and Shaka Bowl definitely contributes nicely to the diversity of the food truck community. All the bowls here are 8$ which is pretty much your average acai bowl cost. I got the Shaka Bowl; this bowl included their own version of their acai blend which had Vita Coco coconut water blended in it. Yum. It was topped with granola, coconut, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and bees pollen. The arrangement was quite beautiful. Let's get down to the critiquing.. To begin, the acai was pretty tasty, but I didn't get that much. Then I was a little disappointed to find out that the granola was a bit stale and had no crunch; its my favorite part. But it was the kind of granola that included the pumpkin seeds, so yum. ^__^ Continuing on, I had no problem with the fruits since they were all fresh, and freshly chopped. Lastly, I was let down when I saw him sprinkle on the bees pollen. You can see in my pictures how little there was. Incase you didn't know, bees pollen is good for energy, smooth skin, prostate care, and can even help reverse infertility. So why wouldn't I want a good helping. In the end, I gave Shaka Bowls a three for friendly staff, presentation, and for their acai blend.

First off, thank you Anthony!…read more We were a group of 12, and I am not sure if we were more disorganized or hungry; either way, not at our best. He was patient and ensured that we were taken care of. As the garlic/chili oil and spicy salmon sold out, he recommended the inamona, which had a nuttiness that ended up being my favorite. We will definitely be returning.

That's the dream we can only hope for and luckily Monarch Poke located in Pearl Kai Shopping Center near T-Mobile area was open and not only that had a display case filled with various fresh fish all straight from the auction. This was quite late in the afternoon as I was set up for disappointment I was pleasantly surprised to see how much they still had and the gentleman says that that he thought it would've been busier but know that he had a catering order and is sure than none will go to waste is great to know but with that I did grab a couple of items that already piqued my interest, and entering this cozy shop was nice and simple. With seasonings like Crispy Garlic Chili Oil, Spicy, and Salmon poke I went for Inamona (Kukui nut) Poke, and Yuzu Scallop Poke as Scallops which are cute baby scallops is for mom since she loves scallops, and I love the simplicity flavor of the inamona with sesame oil, lime and Hawaiian salt though personally I didn't like it was rolling in green onions and white onions as I'm not a huge fan of them. The down side what I didn't like is the "MP" which I completely understand it's market fresh and is impossible to price it permanently but wished they'd put a daily price beside them the half pound of Yuzu Scallops Poke and one pound of inamona poke total did made me question my impulsive decision don't get me wrong it was delicious but there was too much onion in mine (personal choice) but the gentleman there was very nice describe each item including getting wasabi from Japan as it's all crafted fresh shows the love in each dish as I thoroughly enjoyed it for Christmas. Thank you!

Its location was a mystery and the way the food disappeared off our plates was the magic. We were met with love and we were served love in our to go containers. We ordered house fried noodles, orange chicken, house fried gyoza, vegetarian spring rolls with sides of white rice and various, delicious tea drinks. I have never had bacon in my fried noodles before and I know bacon makes most things taste better but this was truly the cherry on top. I loved the noodles. I love thin noodles like angel hair pasta and finally I've found a place that serves a thin fried noodle. It was delicious. The orange chicken was hot and tasty and we didn't get any fatty pieces which made it perfect!! That's huge to my family. Speaking of which, I have a big family we're talking 8 people and the portions at this place were delightfully generous. You might be buying dinner today but you'll likely have lunch for tomorrow too! I don't know what they put in the drinks but I am hooked. My goodness! Iced-Cool Liquid happiness for my tongue, throat, stomach and soul. I was upset when it was gone. I'm still upset. This place is truly off the beaten path but worth the effort to find and dine. Drive directly down the alley when you see the Sweet Corner Cafe sign on the corner(keep your eyes peeled). Go all the way down, you'll be able to turn around and there's parking along a building.
