Parking is on the side of a steep driveway. Look for the signs and the cat at the front door. I ordered the Roasted Chicken. If you're ordering takeout, call them in advance. The Roasted Chicken takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes to make, but it was well worth the time. Service from the lady there is amazing and she's super friendly. I'm definitely going back there to try out their desserts because the quality of the food there is amazing!

We immediately felt like we were going to enjoy our time there, whether the food was going to be good or not, lol. Thankfully, it was! We ordered the Orange Chicken, a poke bowl, and a couple of the infused teas with lemonades, and everything was delicious. Highly recommend! The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and inviting. The location is a little interesting, but it's definitely worth the hunt! Once you spot the flag on the corner of the building, you'll know you're in the right place--you just have to look for it. Most importantly, Chelsea made us feel so welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. We honestly haven't had service that good in a LONG time. Thank you, Chelsea, for making our experience so enjoyable! We'll definitely be back!

My personal favorite was the honey butter chicken and waffles. That chicken was so well marinated and fried to perfection. I saw a news story on the wall that the owner had worked at Roscoe's House of Chicken & Waffles. We've been to Roscoe's and this place's chicken was much better. The skin was perfectly crisp and the honey butter sauce was only slightly sweet which added a bit of flavor but did not overwhelm you with sweetness. My kids ate up the chicken meat and I was happy to enjoy the crisp chicken skin by itself. My wife also really enjoyed the waffles and found them to be quite flavorful, again preferring them over what you would get at Roscoe's. The gravy on the loco moco was fantastic and perfectly paired with the rice. My son ordered the churro waffles and was happy with his selection. For me, though, I dream of that crisp chicken skin. I've been there three times, and every single time, the same cashier, has been very unfriendly/unpleasant. During my most recent visit, they didn't provide my mom and I utensils - which is fine, things happen. So I went up to the cashier and asked "Sorry, may I have utensils please?" Then he responded with "Excuse me?!" Like I bothered him.....then his coworker responded on behalf of him and said "she needs utensils (turns to me) sorry bout that." I am all about being understanding but if they're not welcoming/seems bothered/unfriendly every.single.time, then I would prefer to take my business somewhere else. It's a bummer because their food is good consistent.

They opened at 8am and we were there a little after 8:30 on a Sunday and yes, there was a line. But not too long a line and after we were seated there was no line but then a long line when we were leaving. So it is hit or miss in terms of wait time. Cross your fingers and the seating gods may be generous and kind to you. Menu id basically the same. And although there were four females to help with answering the phones for takeout orders, bussing and serving as well as taking orders and payment their system is efficient. When your table is ready you order and pay (if you order a drink a cup for your coffee or drink will be given). It saves time for you to wait for someone to take your order and later to wave someone down to pay. I know other places use this system (like Joe's on Nimitz) but it seems very practical here. Every table had a cold bottle of water waiting for the diners (so no wait help had to refill glasses) and I saw one of the wait help exchange the one on the table for a new cold bottle (that table was vacant for a while). The food is plentiful (most people had at least one take out container) and delicious. My corn beef wasn't from a can and cooked so there was a crisp but still soft on the inside. The spinach and mushrooms were fresh (once had canned mushrooms in my omelet at Zippy's -ugh).

We checked in before 9:00 am; four Yelp friends helped me out. Aiea Pancake House was formerly called Koa Pancake House, and it pretty much serves the same food. I have been dining there since before the name change. Good portion sizes, local favorites, at an affordable price. You order at the front, and they call out your number. There are several tables inside, and it's nicely air-conditioned. There are also tables outside. That day I ordered the Strawberry Waffles. It was topped with strawberries and whipped cream. It was a Belgian waffle, fluffy on the inside and nicely crisp on the outside. I also ordered a side of Portuguese sausage and pineapple juice. Everything was great! The staff was nice. They checked on us and thanked us for our business. Free parking! There are so many great businesses at Aiea Shopping Center, so it can get pretty busy during peak hours. At least there are three parking levels. Thank you, Auntie Nadine, for getting everyone together, and mahalo to fellow Yelp Elite friends for the help: Auntie Nadine C., Irene C., Debroah P., and Gabriel P.

It's always fun meeting up with Yelp friends and today was no different as visiting local Kim needed her Breakfast Club badge is enough of a reason to have some yummy breakfast. Located on the second floor of Aiea Shopping Center right beside McDonald's there are two entrances and do like this casual type of dining as you place your order and pay first to then seat yourself and they bring out your order. I decided on their namesake of Aiea Omelette and why not it's filled with Spinach, Mushrooms, Portuguese Sausage and Cheese...yum! My side is potatoes of course as they're a nice rustic chunky cut cooked up perfectly and as most of the condiments are at each table no need to ask for them in advance was nice as well. During these busy days it was really nice to stop and take the time to have some breakfast with friends and this breakfast club group is amazingly generous with their time and thoughtfulness...Nadine, Deborah, Gabriel and Kim ;) cool group. Thank you!

The menu has so many options, so there's likely to be something for everyone! I also really enjoyed the different methods of ordering. You can either order at the front with a human, or scan the QR code on each of the tables to order online. They only take credit card payments though, no cash. Don't eat here often but we enjoy it when we do. Today was exceptional. 20 minute wait (it was…read moreSaturday at 11am so expected). I asked how long a wait and was told 20 minutes. (There were a LOT of people waiting!) Lady calling out names as tables were ready really seemed to enjoy her job. Her intonation was pleasant to listen to, and she was easy to understand, nice and loud. Names were being called out at a good pace so tables were clearing quickly. Guess the breakfast/brunch folks were all leaving around that time. Just under 20 minutes my name was called and as soon as we entered the door from waiting on a bench outside there was a hostess ready to seat us. After seating us she asked about drinks and very quickly brought hubby's Dr. Pepper and my Coke Zero (no ice). Mine had a lemon in it, which turns out to be the signal it's a Coke Zero. Added nice flavor, too. She said our server would be right with us, and we had just enough time to scan the menu then our server Alicia came to our table. We ordered immediately and our food came in record time. Hubby's pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon, no butter had tall fluffy pancakes, and no butter. (Some places forget, but not here.) My Salmon Benedict came with eggs poached perfectly, yolks runny, as it should be. I ordered my hash browns "crispy" and they were perfectly crisp on both sides. (Not every place crisps hash browns on both sides...) Alicia came at just the right time to check on us and ask if I wanted my soda refilled. She looked at it and asked if it was a Coke Zero, so the lemon must be the signal. She was very busy (it was bustling inside) but managed to stop by at all the right times. Friendly but no chit chat since it was super busy, very efficient, which was perfect for us. She came by just when we were done and asked if I needed a box for my food, and we asked if we could order a slice of pie to go. Hubby wanted the fresh strawberry pie which is in season. She suggested the strawberry tart, which suited him just fine. I asked if they still had fresh peach pie and she again suggested the tart. Alicia brought our 2 tarts in a paper bag and said she included forks and napkins. She had given me a paper bag for my Benedict but I wanted to help the environment and we were trying to fit it with the tarts. She was eagle eyed and called out to us that she would bring another bag. We explained we just wanted to not waste a bag and showed her the unopened one she had brought with my box. She was amazing. Looking forward to the next time we visit. Hope we get her as our server again. Got home and while the tarts are for dessert tonight, I wanted to enjoy the freshness of the tart crust so I snuck a piece. The crust was so good! And the fresh peaches were great, too. Always better than canned. The yards are really almost like a slice and a half of pie and and neater than taking home a slice, so it's a good deal. Pies are expensive because making pie crusts takes time, so getting extra crust in a tart is great. Hope our next visit goes as well as today's. Thinking of getting the chicken pot pie next time!

Not so much anymore, especially since covid. And, they only carry certain pies daily and add more selection on the weekends. Customer service was still spot on. When I approached the pie area, I was greeted by a warm and friendly gal. I was only buying 2 slices of pie - banana cream and macadamia nut cream. I was told that the macadamia nut cream pie was only made on the weekends. Ok, I asked if I can still be it by the slice on the weekend and she told me that it is only sold whole. That was a big disappointment because that was my favorite pie there but did not want to get a whole pie. They did have the banana cream and I was able to get by the slice. I ended up getting a slice of custard pie for my 2nd choice. The gal did show me the sign by the register of what pies are available for slice for that day, which wasn't a lot. Both pies tasted ok, nothing special. The banana cream had a few slices of real banana, which was nice. The pie crust was on the thick side and tasted pretty dry. It wasn't the best banana cream pie I've had .The custard pie was meh, didn't have a real good custardy taste and the crust was the same as the banana cream. Overall, the customer service was good and I probably will go elsewhere for pies.
