My sister in law kept raving about how great this place is and how it's better than anywhere else. Really built up my expectations for this place. It was very good but was it THAT much better than anyplace else? I didn't think i was earth shattering but I would recommend it to anyone looking for shaved ice. My strawberry mango ice w ice cream was excellent but I don't think it merits hyping it up to such an unrealistic level, you can only feel a tad bit disappointed
KAWAII ICE WAVE!!! My favorite place to go for something sweet and cold!!! I've first heard about this place through a yelp elite event, my family went to the Hawaii kai store and when we were walking around Pearlridge we was so happy to see it here! Closer to home, so ofcourse we ordered something. And not surprised that it brought me back to how good it was in Hawaii kai. We come every time we visit the mall now. I've tried different flavors of their ice wave and each one was sooo good. The perfect balance of sweet and refreshing! Yes!!! I said sweet AND refreshing!!! The floats are also our family favorite!! My other half always gets the orange crush flavor and he loves it. We tried their shave ice and milkshakes. Everything DOES NOT disappoint. But my personal favorite is definitely those Ice waves. Mango strawberry just always hits the spot for me. The girls usually working are all super friendly. I have never had bad customer service here. And they make your order on the spot and it really isn't a long wait. They are so good, consistent and quick with their service here. It's an individual stand at Pearlridge near Jamba Juice & Starbucks right at the entrance next to the food court. They have bright pink signs, you can't miss it. Grab your lunch at the food court and don't forget your dessert at Kawaii Ice Wave!
After eating dinner at Genki Sushi in Pearlridge, we ordered dessert from this kiosk that's located right outside in the mall. Looking over their menu, everything looked so good and found that the ice cream is DAIRY FREE (SOY BASED)...yay! The visuals of their desserts on the menu and outside of their kiosk are awesome so it made it easier to know what to order! We ordered the Ube Vanilla Swirl soft serve ice cream with Oreo topping and Mango Cheesecake Ice Waves. The ice cream was delicious and would definitely order this again! As for the Ice Waves, the ice had 2 layers but as you scoop it with the toppings, it's like eating the toppings with shaved ice that has no flavor. Toppings were good but for $12.50, wouldn't order this again.
I had to come try the Instagram worthy Ube Cheesecake Sundae! This spot is located at Pearlridge mall right in front of Genki Sushi. The ube soft serve has a hint of ube flavor and more icy texture than a creamy soft serve texture. The small bites of cheesecake and the crunch oreo toppings mixed together with the soft serve is oh so good! My son and I shared one although we could've each had one. It's a great dessert spot and will be back again to try other items!
This is a good sized kiosk in Pearlridge in front of the food court in the upper section. Idk what it's called now but I think it used to be called Uptown? The guy was really nice and friendly. I got the strawberry soda float that was really good and my grandson got a a mango sundae type thing. I finished my float later that day but I was surprised grandson was able to finish his sundae in one sitting. It seemed a little pricey to me $(22) but inflation being what it is, we can pay it or stay home looking at pictures right?
I can see this spot being popular with the kids and adults who have a sweet tooth. Also a very trendy site for those cutesy pics against Kawaii Ice Wave's decorative wall. For the location, the prices are reasonable, but in my opinion, it's just another high priced item that catches people's attention. Granted, we haven't gone down the list of menu items, so this review is based on our first visit. My wife, son, daughter, and niece tried the Ube Sundae, Chocolate Overload Sundae, and an Oreo Ice Wave. Ube soft serve didn't have much of an ube flavor, but it sure was purple lol. The pieces of cheesecake were good, but overall these are very very SWEET desserts. Not so much our thing, but I'm sure other kids love it.

Surprisingly though, their treats has the perfect balance, not too sweet, but just right!The soft serve, flavors, and toppings all come together in a way that deliciously surprising without being overwhelming. Ok, so my personal favorite? The Strawberry and Mango Ice Wave. It's loaded with fresh fruits, and they don't skimp! Every bite is refreshing, light, and full of flavor. Whether you're wrapping up a day of shopping or just treating yourself, this is the perfect way to end (or start) your day. This little kiosk serves aesthetic and yummy frozen desserts. We got the mango lychee ice wave and it was perfectly sweet but not overpowering. The service was pretty quick even with just one employee and she was really courteous and generous with portions. Can't wait to try their other flavors. I will be back!
Absolutely LOVE this dessert place! They're located in Pearlridge Mall (small kiosk next to the food court) and I believe they have another location in Mililani area. I live and work in town and I rarely leave town, but just to visit this place again, I drove all the way out here to get another dessert from them! The staff is so cute and friendly and their fruits are relatively fresh! It's a pretty sizable cup of ice wave and it's definitely a shareable size, but I can easily finish it myself because it's so good! This is one reason why I leave town. I'm really hoping they open one in town soon. It's also great to support local businesses! I'll be visiting this place sometime very soon again! read more
The halo halo here was amazing. As someone who grew up in the Philippines, this is actually pretty good. They pack your cup with toppings and ice cream. Went here twice, first time it was really great. Second time, the halo halo was still great but the lady who served it coughed into her hands and handed me my cup. I would have rated this 5 stars but staff cleanliness is a must since you're handling food. This is located at Pearlridge Mall, next to the food court. read more

It is in the shopping mall in the building where Macy's is located. If you are at the other building where the food court is, you will have to go out and walk over or take the monorail which was out of order when we were there. Their little stall is located between GNC and Jamba Juice. Delicious Ube soft service in both the sundae and halo halo. They distribute the toppings evenly in layers so every bite was perfect. The staff worked swiftly and were very kind. There are no tables or chairs to sit at to eat but you can walk around the mall and find some couches here and there. read more

I'm so glad this place is nearby and I don't have to go all the way to Hawaii Kai anymore. I've tried their mango ice wave and their ube sundae. My suggestion for the ice wave would be add the drizzle around the entire bowl to get more of that mango syrup flavor in every bite. The ube soft serve has a more icy texture due to the soy milk. The ube flavor is subtle and they add the perfect amount of Oreo crumbles. Nothing in the sundae competes with each other which is always a plus. read more
I love Kawaii Ice Wave so I was so glad to hear they opened one closer to me! And the quality is just as good at this location. I love the ice waves, and I ordered the strawberry lychee one. They pack on the toppings and I love that they have some toppings in the middle too (so you don't have to worry about just eating ice when you get to the bottom). Definitely worth it! read more
There's something cool going on here... Kawaii Ice Wave has found itself at its third location in the Pearlridge Center Mauka which is the side where Macy's is at you'll find them on the ground floor outside the Mauka Food Court but you can't miss that familiar vibrant look and how they manage to capture their vibe from their brick and mortar shop to this tiny kiosk is adorable! It has everything you crave here soft serve, milkshakes, shave ice, Halohalo, their amazing Ice Wave and what I've been obsessed with lately is their Ice Floats with nine different flavors I went with POG today and this little beauty has layers and layers of flavors and you able to see the build here which is quite a work of art. Starting with the soft serve there the first pour of POG add some snow shave ice and a repeat of the layers is done before the final top of soft serve and my wafer roll...tadaaaahh!! The perfect balance of it all looking quite lovely I must say and just refreshingly nice! The service is always a delight thought the fella at the register seemed bored and uneventful where with the mall noises I could barely hear him and not having change he gave me all quarters like four dollars of quarters...sigh! Though the staff creating my work of art are amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed my treat as finished my errands for the day. Thank you! read more
Dessert in Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii... Located at Uptown Pearlridge Center, between GNC and Starbucks/Jamba Juice and the Food Court, is a cute kiosk named: Kawaii Ice Wave If the name sounds familiar, it is! The first location is on Dillingham Boulevard (temporarily closed due to "The Rail" construction). The second location is in Hawaii Kai Shopping Center (by Safeway). An Elite Yelp Event was held there in the past. They were very generous to us and gave us sweet treats of our choice! When I saw the Instagram post about this new third location, I had to go and find it! I was so happy to see Justine again! She is still friendly, cute, and sweet, as always! I got a yummy Halo Halo! It's layers of sugar palm, condensed milk, snow shaved ice, coconut jelly, ube soft serve, and Frosted Flakes. Yum! This latest location is great because of the free shared parking, air conditioning, and many other food options at the mall! Go visit them and try the Ice Wave... it's finer than shaved ice! I'm going to get the Strawberry Mango Ice Wave next time! read more

If you come to Pearlridge mall, you either seen and past by this little shop many times before actually stopping by to get dessert which is what I did. I wasn't that hungry but I did want dessert after eating a big lunch, I got an oreo ice wave which is snow ice on the bottom, soft serve in the middle and snow ice on top with crushed oreo. Honestly it wasn't as flavorful as I expected and the soft serve was practically none existent. I got two good bites of soft serve and then nothing after that. read more

Oh, my gosh, the ice is so flaky and in the middle, it has a strawberry amazingness to it! We ordered, and they were very friendly. Right at the lower entrance of the food court by Genki, GNC and Jamba Juice, this up and coming bingsu and dessert shop is serving frozen treats with excellent service. At the time of my visit 2 young men were working and having a great time doing so. They were singing along to their music and making the desserts quick. We got 2 ice waves and 1 sundae. For the ice waves, it's just $1 to upgrade to the larger size AND you get a lid. So it was pretty much a no brainer to get the bigger size. Came here after seeing them pop up on Yelp. I had the ube halo halo and it was my favorite one of the trip! Definitely beat out Magnolias for me, mainly because they use ube soft serve and add Frosted Flakes instead of rice crispy cereal. Those small enhancements made a big difference for me. We also got the ube cheesecake dessert. The cheesecake was super frozen, but otherwise fantastic! read more

Hawaii Kai location. 5 stars for ambiance. Cute Instagramable set up. 3 for service. Wasn't greeted. 1 for sago sago. $6. 8oz container. I got the mango and the strawberry . Strawberries were definitely not fresh. Also it was turning sour. The picture they use on their stories is not what it looked like. I hear their other sweet treats/drinks are great so I'll try one of those next time. Will go back to try their regular menu items. read more
I'm normally not a big sweets person, but this place was pretty good. I shared a regular sized Strawberry & Lychee ice with a friend and the portion was enough to feed us both. The ice was soft and they really packed on the lychee and strawberries! It was a Saturday night too and luckily it wasn't busy so the dessert came out quick. I usually love Kawaii Ice, however, this time around the portions seem smaller. Stuff is already getting expensive but the prices are getting higher and portions are getting smaller, it's ridiculous. Plus I saw mold growing near the sink area, outside their booth they need to get that checked. Service was good as always though. read more

I got the ube soft serve with Oreo and lychee and it's fresh lychee (I mean from the can tho) but overall it was good. Something new at Pearlridge. The service there was good, I was very indecisive and the guy that helped me was nice. Ambiance is in the mall so lots of foot traffic. read more

Efficient and friendly service with a convenient location inside Pearlridge Mall near Jamba Juice. Given that it's a kiosk, would recommend snagging a table in the food court. Ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Wave, which consisted of powdery snow ice, strawberries, condensed milk, and cheesecake bites. Although a bit pricey at $11.50 for the regular size, it's still worth trying, and we'll likely be back to check out some other flavors or menu offerings. read more

This is a small kiosk located up-town at park ridge center. We ordered the fruity pebbles ice wave and an orange crush ice float. They were pretty good and the service was alright. I was disappointed they don't offer smaller sizes for the ice wave.. read more
