Finally came to try out their drinks, I got a pumpkin spice matcha and my bf got a vanilla latte. Both were deliciousssss. I tried my drink without mixing it first and WOW their pumpkin spice syrup is the best I've had! Perfect pumpkin flavor, doesn't taste like a fall candle like some others I've tried haha. Like I've been considering coming back just to ask for a pumpkin spiced oat milk... don't judge me lol. Staff is nice and the inside is cute too :)
I finally visited Sage Creamery's brick-n-mortar. They are situated in East Kapolei: east of Second (son) City; west of 'eva the beaccch; north of UH West Oahu and Hawaii Tokai International College. Parking...I was searching for it. Street parking is available but difficult to come by near the store. They are in a plaza on the corner of Hoomohala Avenue and Kauluakoko Street. Domino's is a neighboring tenant. Small inside...but there are tables outside the storefront. They offer beverages: lattes and such. But I was here for Sage's ice cream. A single scoop is $6; double is $9; a pint is $14. Got a single scoop of one of their signature flavors, Kaua'i Kulolo. Fantastic with bits of kulolo imbeded in each sweet and creamy scoop. Hours are from 12 noon till 800p, from Wednesday thru Friday. Weekends they operate from 800a to 800p. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
I'm so glad they have a location now where we can come whenever we are craving for their coffee/dessert. Their location is easy to find with lots of side street parking. Their ube latte is always my go-to. I love their rocky road ice cream (must have)! The workers are sweet and welcoming. They also have pints you can buy and other merchandise.
This spot has become a Sunday staple for me. I love trying all the new flavors. So far my favorite is the mango sticky rice ice cream! The staff is always so friendly and the shop is so cute. It's definitely worth the stop!
Sage Creamery in Hoʻopili is easily one of my favorite places on the whole island! The shop itself is so cute, and the customer service is always amazingly fast and very friendly. If you're a matcha fan, you HAVE to come here--my absolute go-to, all-time favorite drink is their Pikake Matcha, though all of their specialty drinks are fantastic. On top of the drinks, their ice cream is top-tier, and I love that they rotate their flavor lineup every month. I love, love, LOVE this spot!
I came in not knowing what I wanted to order. However, what I did know there's always people outside at the outdoor seating area. So I thought this ice cream must be really good right? I walked in looked at the menu, let me add the limited space in this store with customers coming in and leaving with their orders made me realize that I stepped into a small business that's thriving. As stood in line and looked at the menu board, still unsure of what to order. I walked up to the counter and asked a few questions. The employee was very helpful and helped me to decide, she also made me aware of what I was getting. For myself I got the Affogato (A scoop of ice cream & shot of green tea). For my husband I gotten him the iced matcha $7 and added their house-made syrup earl grey for a $1. Their matcha tasted rich, earthy, smooth, creamy & vibrant green color. Which seems to be of good quality. I don't normally drink matcha green tea, it was definitely delicious treat and will order it again.
If you're looking for a delicious ice cream place with local flavors, you need to stop by and try Sage Creamery! Getting there took us some time- A) my husband and I were driving from the Aiea area to Ewa Beach... on a Friday afternoon, and B) parking was a pain, but we were able to find street parking pretty quickly. We knew what we were getting into before our drive, and I'm so glad we did because it was well worth the trip! The ice cream shop is fairly small- can't hold a lot of people and no seating inside, but there's plenty of tables outside, and the weather outside was just perfect with some sun and a breeze! The line moves quickly, so ordering isn't a pain at all! I ordered their calamansi dreamsicle and my husband got their root beer float, and both were 10/10! I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could've tried more of their flavors (like their strawberry guava one)! First off, the calamansi dreamsicle was really refreshing and creamy; it had hints of citrus, with a lemon/orange taste, perfect for a warm summer afternoon! My husband had the root beer float, which had their house-made vanilla ice cream and root beer from Maui Brewing Company (I didn't even know they made root beer)! It was delicious as well- I loved that I was able to see little black specks of vanilla bean in the ice cream, and the root beer had hints of honey in it! My husband and I knew the root beer tasted different (in a good way), but couldn't put our finger on it until I read the ingredients and saw that honey was one of them! Super yummy!! All in all, my husband and I agreed that we'll be coming back again to try different flavors!
Matcha ftw. Too bad there's no Hapa Matcha, but it's aight. I don't like street parking, but it's better than none. The interior is narrow and the line goes out the door, but that's how you know it's good. Service is fast and friendly.

Cute shop and easy parking on the street. The matcha is pricey and the banana matcha was a bit gritty with the crumble on the bottom. The total came out to $20 for two matcha lattes, I was gonna buy a tin of their small matcha powder but it was like $40/$45? Maybe next time I'll just try their ice cream.
My sister mentioned this ice cream spot recently opened near her house, and when I looked at the flavors, I definitely wanted to check it out. We stopped by at around 2:30 on a Saturday. I tried the mango sticky rice and Laie snow cream, and also ordered a mint mojito iced coffee. The mango sticky rice was just okay but I really liked the snow cream. The mint mojito coffee was great too (reminded me of Philz coffee) but could have used way less ice in it. We ended up coming back the next day to try some more flavors - ube crinkle cookie, and Thai tea oreo. Both of these were really good. If you're looking for unique/Asian-inspired flavors, Sage Creamery is where it's at!

All their flavors are locally sourced and listed on the wall, which is pretty cool. They've got some outdoor seating, but it fills up fast. The staff is very friendly and street parking is available.
Decided to come here and there wasn't much street parking, so I parked in the guest parking in the townhome area. Luckily it was allowed! There were 3 workers and the line was moving quickly. Unfortunately they were out of the hapa matcha, which was the one I really wanted to try, but there were many other flavors that I wanted to try as well. I got the mangos sticky rice and it was super yummy! Coconut flavor with sweet mango puree. Sooo ono! I'll definitely be back to try more flavors next time. And I will buy a pre-packed pint too! Sage Creamery has always been a place I wanted to check out, just never had the opportunity until now to do so because their brick-and-mortar location only operates in Ewa beach. The drive was definitely worth it though, because they have fun "Hawaii" and asian inspired flavors that rotate monthly to keep things interesting. I had their ube crinkle cookie and strawberry guava, while my partner had the Kauai kulolo. I like that their ice cream incorporates actual cookie bits to add texture and satisfaction to their desserts. Their flavors were bold, authentic, and memorable. Sage Creamery was excellent and a standout in terms of local ice cream makers in Hawaii. Highly recommend! read more

The best ice cream shop in Hawaii! The staff is always friendly and the shop is filled with cute goodies, like various locally made accessories, baked goods and dog treats. They also collaborate with events with different vendors occasionally (andagi, DJs, mochi, etc). They have "2" ice cream menus, one with their signature flavors (these never change) and seasonal flavors (these rotate, it used to change every month but it looks like they keep these flavors for a few months at a time). I love to visit whenever they have new flavors, but anything from their signature menu is yummy too. The prices are a little higher than chain ice cream shops, but they source local ingredients and make fun local flavors, so the prices are justified (IMO). read more

Such a great ice cream spot! The location was easy to find and street parking was easy as well which is always a plus. They have a really fun selection of unique flavors. We tried their monthly specials, Matcha Oreo and Lemon Crunch Cake. Both were absolutely top tier, so delicious and honestly I wish I had gotten more! The staff was also super friendly and welcoming. One thing to note is that they don't offer samples, so you'll have to commit to your flavor choice, but the unique flavors make it worth the gamble. Definitely a spot I'd come back to! read more

While we were visiting O'ahu we did some research on Yelp and found this fun ice cream spot in a new housing development. We found street parking and walked over. The store is small, but they have some seating outside if you'd like to enjoy your ice cream right away. Thay had pints and drinks available in the cold case as well as scoops, coffee and keiki milk. We opted for a scoop of their lilikoi honey ice cream ($6) and took it outside to eat. It was a nice treat, I liked the flavor combination but wished the passionfruit flavor was a bit stronger. This is definitely of a lighter cream forward flavor versus fruit forward. I'd love to stop in again to try some of their drinks and other monthly flavors. read more
This is a great ice cream shop for our community in Kapolei/Ewa Beach. The shop is located in between the Hoopili and Uh West Oahu Skyline stops so easy access! The shop itself is very small, but the staff and super friendly! You can choose between ice cream, coffee, and a few other baked goods from the menu. I visited twice this month and both times the ice cream was so good! Their flavors change every so often, but so far it's been such yummy creations! I recommend stopping by and enjoying some great ice cream! read more

Oh my goodness! The Ube cookie ice cream was DELICIOUS! The perfect consistency and flavorful. We went in on a Friday night and of course, as expected, busy, but the service was fast! Everyone was so nice. Thank you again for making our experience great! It's always tough going places when one of your littles has a tree nut allergy. I informed them and they used a new clean scoop to ensure that there was no cross contamination! Awesome crew! I will be returning! read more

Sage Creamery is so good! You can tell everything here is made with real, high-quality ingredients -- the flavors taste fresh, not artificial or overly sweet. I love that they use local ingredients and rotate seasonal flavors, so there's always something new to try. I got the Laie Snow and it was amazing -- super creamy, light, and had this perfect balance of sweetness with a local twist. My friend got the Ube Coconut and I totally stole a few bites -- also a winner. The staff are really friendly and patient (even when the line's long and everyone's trying to decide!). The shop itself is cute, clean, and has that cozy local vibe. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and portions are generous -- you can tell they care more about serving great ice cream than cutting corners. Definitely worth the trip whether you're craving dessert after dinner or just need a little treat on a hot day. read more

The people working here were really nice and patient as we decided what we wanted. I decided to get 2-scoops: cookies and cream and coffee Oreo, and my husband got 2-scoops: cookies and cream and chocolate haupia. Although the icecream was really delicious, my favorite flavor was the chocolate haupia followed closely by the coffee Oreo. The icecream was not overly sweet and tasted exactly like you'd expect. I'll definitely come back to try the other flavors and coffees offered. read more

A far drive but worth every minute! I've had Sage Creamery on my "Want to Go" list for a longg time! Such a cute ice cream shop! Love that they also sell local goodies from other small businesses! The service staff were all super friendly! I wish they had seating inside (to sit in the AC) but, they have plenty of seats outside! I'm always excited to see their new flavors because I want to try every single one! This trip we tried Ube Crinkle Cookie, Banana Lumpia, Mango Sticky Rice and Chocolate Haupia! Every flavor was on point- as if it was a full dessert in every bite! Flavors of our cultures!! 10 stars for me! read more
We live in the area and been here a bunch of times, love to end the night with a sweet treat...especially from Sage!!! Every single ice cream flavor and matcha my family and I have tried were simply wow, so so delicious!!! So worth the calories!! The service is always great, everyone's so bubbly and nice! Today's visit had us waiting almost out the door! Love the numerous and random quotes they have throughout the shop! It's one of the coolest ice cream shops in town! Finally had a chance to go Sage Creamery and it was totally worth the drive!! ***What I tried ~ **Kūlolo Ice Cream (10/10) ~ I've never tried Kūlolo before and trying it in ice cream form was delicious. It was so addicting to eat. It wasn't overly sweet and it was perfectly creamy, loved it. **Iced Matcha Latte with Vanilla Syrup (10/10) ~ Sage has to be my new favorite matcha place. The matcha isn't being drowned in syrup. You get a nice balance of bitter, sweet, and creamy (from the milk). The vanilla is a nice touch to the latte! It wasn't overly sweet. Overall, I'm coming back to try their rotating ice cream flavors and matcha. This IS TOTALLY WORTH THE DRIVE FOR TOWN PEOPLE. TRUST MEEE. read more
Sage's October selections had banana lumpia, chocolate happiness, thai tea ore, and salted peanut butter cup. One of the unique flavors they had was adobo. I went in with equal parts curiosity and skepticism, and I left completely blown away. The first taste is a genuine surprise. A bold, aromatic wave of black peppercorn is the most prominent flavor. As you go deeper into the scoop, that initial spice mellows and a rich, savory umami from shoyu. As the ice cream melts on your tongue, a final, distinct note of vinegar appears. It was a truly unique experience from start to finish. read more

I'm so happy to have a small local family-owned place like Sage Creamery nearby! It's one of those spots where the ice cream tastes natural, not like the store-bought versions. Every flavor I've tried has been delicious, but my favorite so far is anything with cookies and cream. The shop itself is sweet and charming, it reminds me of little European boutique cafes. The menu is just a piece of art by itself. Yes, there's usually a line, but it always moves quickly. One tiny downside: the seating is a little close to the road. It's fine for adults and bigger kids, but with a very small child I don't feel comfortable letting him run around there. That's not really something the shop can change, just something to keep in mind if you're visiting with toddlers. I also love that they offer vegan/non-dairy options. That came super handy for me when I was bringing dessert to friends with dietary restrictions. And they don't just sell scoops; they've got pints to take home or bring along to a gathering. read more

A good ice cream staple, but definitely not "not too sweet". - Ice cream: I've tried a lot of their flavors and they nailed flavoring everytime, they taste exactly like the description. However, I wouldn't recommend if you're someone who doesn't like overly sweet stuff. I like my desserts not too sweet, and I think their ice cream leans more sweet. It's still a good treat every now and then! - Drinks: Decent drinks, nothing mind-blowing. I don't know if this review will do Sage Creamery any justice. The ice cream is simply delicious and uses HIGH QUALITY, LOCAL ingredients and organic dairy. First off, how dare people say Sage Creamery is expensive. I get it, Sage costs more than that chain with 31 flavors or a huge tub of Meadow Gold ice cream, but those ice creams don't compare to Sage! Instead of thinking "Sage is expensive," think "oh goodie! I'll treat myself to special ice cream!" Surely, you can't expect Mango Sticky Rice ice cream to cost as much as mass-produced Jamoca Almond Fudge or Costco ice cream? Hubby and I live dangerously close to Sage Creamery that I've lost count how many times we've picked up treats from here. Not only do we love the local-inspired flavors made by local ingredients, but the ice cream is smooth, but not too icy nor too creamy. I'll do my best to list all the flavors we've tried... Mainstays: Mango Sticky Rice, Strawberry Guava. (Still haven't tried their other mainstays, Laie Snow Cream and Ube Crinkle Cookie) Monthly specials: Coffee Oreo, Matcha Oreo, Kūlolo, Pacific Pistachio, Manoa Rocky Road (with local macadamia nuts!), Dark Chocolate Strawberry, Banana Flambé, and my favorite month for Sage, October's Filipino American History Month's Chocnut, Banana Lumpia, and....adobo ice cream! Yes, somehow adobo ice cream works! It reminded me of a salted caramel ice cream, but with shoyu and peppercorn flavors. My husband's favorite flavor is the banana lumpia ice cream. We could tell ripe bananas were used for the ice cream and the glazed lumpia wrapper pieces held its form! My favorites are any of their flavors with Oreo. I love the texture of their Matcha Oreo and Coffee Oreo flavors. We've also tried their pikake matcha latte. The matcha was smooth with the right amount of matcha strength to creaminess and with a light house made jasmine syrup flavor. My husband also tried the espresso tonic, which tastes like it sounds. I'd love to try their regular and strawberry matcha latte and hojicha latte one day! So cool that their menu includes keiki milk drinks, same as the adult menu, but without coffee or matcha! I've heard townies make the drive all the way here for ice cream, so that says something! Sage Creamery is West Oahu's best ice cream, period! read more
Service here is great. Server offered to explain about any flavors we had questions about, and cheerfully explained about the ones we asked. Service was so prompt (we were the only people in line, that our cream was ready before we paid and finished chatting), and we were also asked if we wanted to start a rewards account. Since our daughter usually brings us our Sage fix (she lives right behind) I asked if I could just put the purchase on her rewards account. She cheerfully accommodated the request, so I gave my daughter's phone number. (Few minutes later my daughter texted me to say "enjoy my Sage ice cream" so I guess she got a text notification? Hubby got Lemon Crunch (he likes this flavor - has gotten it before) and I got the mango sticky rice. His has such a nice light flavor, and mine was coconutty (is this a real word?) ice cream with mango syrup drizzled over the top - so good! No sticky rice (I was forewarned) but it didn't matter, it all came together and was very reminiscent of mango sticky rice. I would definitely get it again! We have enjoyed many of the flavors over the past year and have really liked almost all of them enough to want to eat them again. They have regular flavors and monthly specials so it's always fun to check out the flavors. It's such a cute little shop and the owner was there talking story with someone and thanked us for coming in. Love the eco friendly cup and Sage spoon, too. read more

Sage Creamery is a locally made, Hawaiian-owned gem that's known for premium ice cream, matcha, and coffee. I live in town (Honolulu), but whenever I'm on this side of the island usually for the Saturday-Sunday Swap Meet at Aloha Stadium I'm always on the lookout for a new cafe or dessert spot to try. I've had their ice cream before and it was absolutely delicious, so this time I decided to try their Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with oat milk... and I loved it! The flavor was refreshing, perfectly balanced and so pretty with the layers. I'd give it a solid 9/10 no wonder the line was long, it's totally worth the wait. Service was just as impressive. Even though they were busy, the team was all smiles and moved quickly. I asked the barista not to mix the strawberry purée with the oat milk so I could enjoy the beautiful layers and they remembered! That attention to detail means so much. I'd give their service a 10/10 professional, well-trained and genuinely caring staff. The ambience is bright and inviting with plenty of outdoor seating. Inside can get a little tight when it's busy but it's all part of the lively, happy atmosphere. Overall, I truly love this place from the friendly staff to the quality drinks and desserts. Although everyone comes here for their ice cream, which btw I have no complaints, I come here for their mint mojitos!!! If you ever had Philz mint mojito coffee & you are craving it, this is your next best bet! My daughter enjoys their matcha drinks. Grab a drink & a pint of their unique flavor icecream! read more

It's a cute little ice cream shop. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and was the only customer. There was a bunch of street parking in front of the store so parking was easy. There were two girls working the front and they were really friendly! The sad part about this shop is that they don't give any free samples, but we weren't disappointed with what we got. I got rhe Strawberry Matcha Latte and my boyfriend got two scoops (Ube Crinkle Cookie & Diamond Head Torte which is PB+Banana+oreo). It all cost around $18. What knocks down the score are the outrageous prices. The signature latte was off of the small menu and didn't have a price. The drink tasted mostly of strawberry. The ice cream flavors were delicious, but for that size I would rather go to Black Sheep and feel more fulfilled. I will admit, there flavors are unique to Hawaii, but this isn't my first time here and not every flavor hits enough to make a great impression. read more
