I tried the mango sticky rice and Laie snow cream, and also ordered a mint mojito iced coffee. The mango sticky rice was just okay but I really liked the snow cream. I decided to get 2-scoops: cookies and cream and coffee Oreo, and my husband got 2-scoops: cookies and cream and chocolate haupia. One viral clip got me searching for this special creamery outside of town. Their Hapa Matcha was our target, but not before we ate lunch. We ventured out to Wahiawa for lunch at noon and I hoped to surprise my wife with some delicious ice cream once we were done. There were two girls working the front and they were really friendly! The sad part about this shop is that they don't give any free samples, but we weren't disappointed with what we got. I got rhe Strawberry Matcha Latte and my boyfriend got two scoops (Ube Crinkle Cookie & Diamond Head Torte which is PB+Banana+oreo). It all cost around $18. What knocks down the score are the outrageous prices. The signature latte was off of the small menu and didn't have a price. The drink tasted mostly of strawberry. The ice cream flavors were delicious, but for that size I would rather go to Black Sheep and feel more fulfilled. This month we have grabbed a pint of Makaha Sun (which is mango and guava) twice so far. Their ice cream is fantastic (rich, creamy) and flavors are thoughtfully crafted. But what really deserves a special shoutout is their sorbets because the ice crystals are very fine which gives it a creamy mouthfeel. And the flavors are bold and refreshing. We came to try the Lychee Rose and on a hot evening like today, it was a great way to cool down. If you're into floral flavors, you need to try the pikake oat tea latte. I know this sounds odd, but it tastes exactly like how pikake smells (in the best way though!). The drink is well balanced with their homemade jasmine syrup and the drink is not too sweet. Another highlight is that they are dog friendly! There's a water bowl right at the entrance and they even offer Rolo's pup cups (goat yogurt, banana, peanut butter, carrots, seaweed and smelt). My pup wasn't sure at first because it was a bit too frozen for her liking, but once it softened up, she was able to enjoy it. Staff are very nice and welcoming when you enter. Service is quick. There are tables outside with umbrellas so you can enjoy your treats and kinda beat the heat of the Westside sun. The Calamansi Dreamsicle is the perfect balance of sweet and sour. August 2025, I tried their Honey Lavender and Strawberry Guava flavors. To be honest, I was underwhelmed at how the Honey Lavender didn't have much of a prominent taste, it just tasted mostly of a vanilla flavor. The Strawberry Guava flavor tasted tart-y, though it isn't a favorite of mine. Thy also offer some drinks. The oat milk (alone) or the matcha latte blends in so beautifully with their housemade pikake syrup. I wish they sell the pikake syrup! Plus, their pikake matcha latte had a STRONG matcha taste. SERVICE -- The workers are very friendly and accommodating. We once arrived at the shop less than 10 minutes before closing time and they still allowed us to order. In fact, my friend forgot to order one more thing and they still allowed her to order 5-10 minutes after closing time. They're so accommodating that they were tipped generously. AMBIANCE -- The shop inside is bright and lively. Outside, there are tables with chairs to sit on. It is breezy outside. BATHROOM -- They have a bathroom at the back.
