I ordered the Dirty Matcha with oatmilk, which is a matcha latte with a shot of espresso. It was just how I like it, not too sweet and the matcha wasn't chalky. Went to the Waipio location yesterday with my sister, I ordered the Banana cream and omg, I see why it's so popular! I savored every single sip and I wish I got a large instead. Finally got to try the infamous Aloha Brew that i hear has the best coffees. Got their most popular afakasi coffee and pani popo. Honestly a little disappointed. Their coffee is STRONG which I like and don't mind BUT they say afakasi is with brown sugar. I don't taste anything mixed with brown sugar. What I do taste is brown sugar crumbs at the bottom of the drink UNMIXED. I'm just chewing on sugar as I drink the liquid. Not sure if that's their "signature" way of making it unique by not mixing it at all. It just screams poorly made. Cold liquid and sugar don't mix together at all. You're suppose to drink your coffee not chew your coffee. Pani popo is ok. Both drinks are just bitter. It's like they didn't perfect the recipe how they wanted to be perceived. I've been coming to Aloha Brew off and on since 2018! Granted, we used to live across the street lol! They park at Geiger daily, but you should follow them on IG for their updates/hours/specials. The roads can be busy, especially with morning and afternoon traffic. * Service: This is a popular spot for a quick-fix of caffeine so the lines can get long. Luckily there was no wait when I visited. Ordering & receiving my drink was quick and easy! This location also has benches along the park fence which is a perfect spot to enjoy your drink. * Drink: I got the dirty matcha. It was pretty standard so I have no complaints. One of the best coffee I've had on any of islands of Hawaii. I don't need to say no names and there's no shade to others, I just like this one better. This review is way over due. This is how my coffee obsession started. Back in the day they were once located in Ka Makana right across CPK but now they are located in Ewa Beach by Geiger Park. It is a white van, under trees, so it's nice and cool. There's a lot of parking, sometimes a lot of other food trucks next to them. What I normally get is a affogato, which is coffee with ice cream! It is heaven! I never drank coffee before but this was my introduction to coffee and I was hooked. I normally get the mocha affogato which vanilla ice cream & chocolate with espresso. They have a lot of selections on drinks, milk options. The service is amazing, very friendly and really fast with their drinks considering sometimes they can get pretty busy.
