Her food is great! Doesn't have that old oil taste on the chicken. She has nice bubbly attitude and her Taegu rolls are on point

The brisket melt is warm, flavorful, and always satisfying. I also always get the slushie to drink, which pairs perfectly with the meal. The staff is friendly, the parking is easy, and the prices are decent for what you get. I also recommend getting the soup as a side -- it rounds out the meal really well. Overall, a solid spot with good food, great service, and simple convenience.

The chicken was crisp, juicy, and the gochujang sauce was DELICIOUS! My husband got the double down and said that it was incredible. The pastrami to brisket ratio was perfect and they added just the right amount of bbq sauce to enhance the meat flavors but not over power. My daughter also loved her grilled cheese. It was definitely more cheese than bread and she even tried tomato soup for the first time- also loved it. We also took a gamble and tried the toast of the month. I will admit I'm not a big "fake strawberry" flavor girl so I was worried I wouldn't like it but it was delicious. It's also the perfect size for sharing! The cook here really knows how to combine flavors and make perfect ratios for sure. We ate in- place was spotless, smelled nice, and was very fun and "Instagram" like if you're into that sort of stuff. We genuinely can't wait to go back and try more.

I didn't even get a photo of them all there's a whole shelf that I missed with stuff that wasn't cold and custom boxes. Place was extremely clean well kept and organized. It was definitely nice that they had an outdoor area as well as an indoor area with the bar. Plenty of seating bring your friends. Was happy to sit with the manager and the bartender and chat! Our server informed us that it had been off and on for the past week, but went down since Friday. Not good for only being open for a year. They only had appetizers and salads, along with their bar, which offers a wide range of beers and wine by the glass, along with cocktails. Since we were technically "working", that had to wait for another time. Our server, Erin, was so nice and apologetic, even tho it wasn't her fault. For obvious reasons it was fairly slow, for a normal Sunday lunch crowd. Since we were pressed for time, we ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers; the sausage bites and chicken. They were both tempura style battered, and served with sauce or mustard on the side. The sausage had a slight spice to it, which was nice, and it was served piping hot pot of the fryer. A fork would've been nice, but they were small enough to eat by hand, but be careful, because they're pretty tough to bite thru. The chicken bites were smaller and easier to handle, although they were a bit dry, so the ranch furikake dipping sauce helped. We were out within 20 minutes, so very fast, and I'm hoping the griddle gets repaired soon, so I can try their burgers.

I started with the Beef Luau, and omg. A steaming bowl of tender luau leaves with little "trinket-sized" bites of beef, rich and flavorful. And yes, I had to order a side of rice--because you just gotta have rice with this kind of dish. Then came the real dilemma: Fish & Chips or the Wagyu Short Rib Loco Moco. The only logical solution? ORDER BOTH. No regrets. Every bite was worth it. A huge shoutout to Chuck--one of the most knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely kind people I've met in this business. You can tell he loves what he does, and it shows in the service and the vibe he creates. And Al, who I believe is the manager--what a fun guy. For someone who hasn't been here long, he runs a tight ship. The staff is happy, helpful, and works together like a well-oiled machine. The energy in this place is just good. They've even got live music at 5pm and a solid pupu menu. This is way more than a one‑stop shop. I'll definitely be back to try more--especially the dessert menu. Ooh man. Thank you, Chuck, for an awesome lunch experience. And Al--keep up the great work. Marie

After a few years of steering clear of Five Guys due to the steep prices, my family finally gave the Kapolei location a try - and I've got to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The burger? Easily 5 stars. Hot, fresh, and loaded with flavor. If you're in the Ka Makana area and craving a solid burger, Five Guys beats nearby options like EARL, hands down! My whole family was happy with their meals, and that says a lot. The service? Also 5 stars. The cashier was super patient and helpful, even with our indecisiveness. Major shoutout there. Now, the fries... Eh, 3 stars at best. While you definitely get a generous portion (they famously overflow into the bag), the flavor just didn't hit. They use peanut oil, but to me, it tasted more like peanut shells... you know, that dry, woody flavor that reminds you why you're not supposed to eat them. At $9 for a large, I expected something special, not just greasy. The oil also soaked through the bottom and sides of the paper bag, so next time, I'll ask for a double bag if taking it to go. Note: The AC inside is no joke! It was like arctic level cold for me lol. If you're planning to dine in, you might want to bring a light jacket. In the end, the burger and experience were enough to win us back (at least occasionally). Just not sure I'll ever be able to justify the fries again. And I love fries!!! :(

My mom saw this place on TV this morning and she had high hopes for the food but sadly we were…read moredisappointed. We can deal with it being kinda in the ghetto of Waipahu but it was the very unhappy (clearly annoyed) counterperson who was taking our order - who SNAPPED AT MY MOM because she was confused with what comes with their plate lunch AND then the cook (assumedly - a different person than who took our order) annoyingly brought our items out to the table. She ordered the chop steak - I thought tasted ok, but it was seasoned heavier than my mom would like. Portion was right for the price. I got their signature Loco Moco burrito - SAD. It was $20, majority rice and mac salad, no meat. I needed a knife to cut the burrito in half, there was no counterperson or anyone available to ask for a knife, so I kind of looked around their register area and found a random one on the side, cut the burrito in half, DEFINITELY NOT how they showed it on TV, if the counterperson came back, I probably would have asked for them to swap it out. We were sitting for about 25 mins - nobody came back to the counter? If it wasn't for the counterpersons unfriendly attitude I was planning to buy their signature dessert to go, but I was turned off by the whole experience AND he didn't come back out anyways until literally I was throwing our containers away. He didn't greet us. Thank us. Ask how everything was. Or say anything when we were leaving. We saw the owners on TV and are happy and glad to support a local business BUT NOT when your employees are rude and unfriendly. $45 - 1 mini plate + 1 signature item and 2 cans of soda, I would SKIP this place
