Whenever we go to Waikele Premium Outlets we always eat the amazing foods at the Yellow Kitchen truck. Today we had stir fried chop steak and udon with black bean sauce. So ono! Citron and plum iced teas very tasty and refreshing! And the ladies are very nice and friendly! We will definitely be back for more!
The cutest permanent food truck located at Waikele Premium Outlets! It's in the back left side of the parking lot (kinda hidden) to the left of the Coach store. This truck is run by two sweet Korean ladies. I was very impressed with my meat jun plate as it was a lot of food for $20. Additionally, it was so fresh. I watched them make it from scratch right in front of me! I really love that this truck serves up fresh made-to-order Korean food and it's not just sitting... you can really taste the freshness. It was one of the best meat Jun plates I've had on Oahu... if not the best! They have several wooden picnic tables that are all shaded as well. It's surprisingly cool under there and a great place to take a shopping break and refuel. I'd come back just to eat, never mind shop!
This truck should be more popular by far! Great prices and the ladies are always so nice. I love that the spicy squid you have the option of rice or noodles. I chose noodles and it is the perfect chewy noodle I wanted with my squid. There is some outdoor seating available on both sides of the truck. There is parking right in front of the truck too so it is perfect to stop by on the way home or while shopping.
Food truck located aside coach waikele outlet. They have 3 trucks. 2 Korean food and 1 Thai food. We tried yellow kitchen. My husband loved the stir fry which he said the sauce was tasty and pineapple something he never expected but loved having that extra UMPH in it. I had there udon with black bean sauce which they have another name for this. (Think.....) anyways. I loved it. I also ordered Kim chi Stew from the other Korean food truck next to it called MOOJIGAE Stew was so tasty and spicy but good spicy. Loved it! I would definitely order again from any of these. I'll try the Thai food next time.
Yellow Kitchen in Waikele Outlet mall is easy to spot because of its sunshine-y color and cute decorations. The staff are sunshine-y in demeanor to match! The business has outdoor seating available with umbrellas for shade. Trash cans nearby. Parking is free and you can park as closely as you'd like. The staff is super friendly! The food came out quickly but not too quickly where you wonder about the freshness of the food. I ordered the spicy squid (level spicy). It came with perfectly cooked white short grain rice, squid w/ onions and zucchini, some sort of cabbage slaw as well as a few bites of Mac salad and kimchi. The banchan was a bit lackluster for me but the squid was delicious! Spicy, sweet. Not rubbery but with a delightful chew. The plate coat $17.50. This business accepts cards and cash. Overall, I'd come back to try different dishes to support lovely and hardworking locals such as the ones at Yellow Kitchen.
No clue why it's not more popular! Food good. (Most important) - Good portions...if you're worried...for a reasonable price. The selection of food is great. It left me filling full without being stuffed or sleepy. (I tend to eat A LOT fyi) The Kalbi I ate was really savory! Not sure if I've had a better Kalbi before?... and the rice really allowed the meat to be more savory. The Owners care! - I was struggling with chopsticks, so the owner actually noticed and gave me a fork!! (Im a disgrace lol). She even offered extra kimchi because she noticed I finished mine pretty quick! Those are things that make me want to come back to a food place. Very kind people! Ambiance. A little bit of flies going around but it's not too much of an issue. There's other food trucks surrounding this one which gives a variety of selection next to a shopping outlet. Overall nice lil grub spot. I'm coming back here once I come back to Hawaii!
Tried the spicy squid and surprisingly loved it. The flavor of the sauce was sweet and spicy, it was perfect with the rice. I wished they gave a bigger portion for the sides that came with the plate. All in all I will be coming back for more
Great little food truck located in the outlet mall area along the fence in a shaded area with picnic tables and umbrellas. They have a great looking menu with different plate lunch options. The Stir Fried Chop Steak didn't look like the picture at all, however it was pretty tasty and fed both of us easily. The one plate and bottles of water fed us for under $20.00. Staff was friendly and food was hot and freshly cooked. We would go back in the future and try a different plate.

Everything is SO good here!! I can tell their kimchee and salad is homemade and fresh. Everything in this plate all meshed so well together. The service from the employees are very welcoming and sweet!! I 1000% highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Korean cuisine near Waikele. I'll sure be back! read more
This little food truck packs a lot of flavor! Their menu is super diverse with authentic Korean dishes but honestly I haven't tried much on their menu because I always find myself coming back to their kalbi! The kalbi here is very different from typical local style kalbi, it's a lot less char and sauce heavy, it really lets the quality of the meat be at the forefront. The kalbi is cut thick but there's no need for a knife at all it, it's tender enough to bite through easily and it falls right off the bone. There's a light soy glaze on the meat and it's just enough to balance out the flavor of the meat. Honestly at first I didn't think I was going to like it because I was expecting the usual style of kalbi that's on island but after eating more and more of the plate I found myself hooked! Haven't found any other spots that make kalbi like these folks (and I tend to eat kalbi more than I'd like to admit). The people working the truck are always super kind and attentive, there's a cute little outdoor space to eat next to their truck that has shade and a good amount of wind to keep any flies away. The banchan provided is also a winner, the kimchi is very fermented which I love, it's got a crazy amount of tang which goes so good with the meat and rice. This spot has quickly become a favorite of mine on island and anytime I find myself in Waipahu I find my way back to this cute yellow truck read more

Great customer service and super clean and quick. However super upset with the quality of my food. Kim bap was overpriced and did not match the filling that was advertised on their menu! The kim bap just had spam, bell pepper and daikon - for almost $22 with a drink I expected better. read more

One of Korean food truck in Waikele. It's a yellow truck. Two ladies were cooking and taking orders. I ordered spicy squid and Kalbi plate. It was $30 for both. I was watching how they cook. And reminds me my mom was cooking at home and smells so good. I waited like 20min. The portion was not too small not too big. Taste so good especially Mac salad taste like my homemade!! Definitely I come back for Meat Jun. 4stars because they don't have order number so I was confused which order was mine. read more
It's a quaint food truck. Makes you feel like you're on a field trip. There's a mini fish pond to observe and a mini garden to enjoy as you wait for your order. The meat Jun had a good taste, good portion size, the meat was a bit too thin for my liking. The Kim chi looked spicy, although it wasn't. Thank goodness, as this is the first time I've tried in, even though I've lived here all of my life. read more

Yellow Kitchen food truck is open everyday! Located in Waikele Outlets, on the side of Coach, along side other food trucks. The theme was well thought out. A bright yellow truck with garden decor. Really cute and inviting. There's tables and chairs located on either side of the truck if you choose to eat your meal there. I received fast and excellent service from the friendly ladies who runs it. I ordered a Black Bean Udon and Meat Jun. The meat jun was cooked perfectly. It has taste, but unfortunately not enough. The sides were really good. The Udon was soft and chewy, with pieces of meat and onions mixed in. It was flavorful. I liked that there is a scoop of rice to mix into any remaining sauce from the noodles. If I'm ever shopping on this side. I would come back to try them again! read more

The service was pretty fast and as soon as I saw the black bean noodles in the menu i knew I had to try it. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with the jajangmyeon plate here. It lacked the depth of flavor from other places and the few pieces of pork in it was tough. I would come back again and try other dishes next time. read more
Kalbi plate was ok, not too too sweet like others. Was on the tougher chewier side. I typically like it to be little more soft and tender so can eat everything around the bone. Sides (banchan) were ok, same type of kim chee as next doors kim chee. Would try the spicy squid next go around read more

After shopping we spotted the cutest little food truck and knew we had to give it a try! We could smell the food from across the parking lot and it definitely drew us in! The 3 women working were the sweetest! They smiled and laughed with our 1 year old as we waited for our order. That definitely made waiting with our hungry baby so easy and enjoyable! :) We ordered 4 plates (Teri chicken, loco moco, spam and eggs, and garlic shrimp) and the order was out in less than 10 minutes. Everything was delicious but the absolute star of the show was their kimchi! Perfectly salty and spicy! Very flavorful! read more
Delicious! The Vegetable noodle comes with udon and assorted veggies, no protein. But... you can add on a side order or bulgogi or chicken. Get both the kochujang and mandoo sauces. They have picnic tables to share in the shade. And look how cute- upcycled rain boots. What a cool idea to savor memories of your Keiki! read more

I always get their spicy squid plate when I come here and so far it's the best one in my opinion. Perfect spice, perfect seasonings and flavorings. You can ask for it mild or spicy. I asked for mild and it gives the perfect kick. Good amount of squid and vegetables and the squid is tender and not overly chewy. The ladies who work here are so sweet and friendly so that makes the experience even better. Lots of parking and there's tables and benches to enjoy your plate lunches. read more

Did a to-go order for meat Jun plate- Disappointed with the amount of Mac salad and corn. It looks like the plate was rushed and short. read more

The food was so good I forgot to take a picture! The ladies who run the truck are so sweet and friendly. I was eating with my family and they offered to cook an extra egg for my baby nephew because they were wondering if he had anything to eat. The place is located next to coach in waikele outlets. It's very quiet and peaceful. I'll definitely become a regular! read more
It's very convenient that Waikele has food truck options to grab food and go. Drivers be cautious, as some people will walk in your path without looking... Back to the food and service. We were glad that they had pictures of their food on the menu. Everything looked good and you can see them cooking as orders come in. The wait time wasn't long at all. Maybe we had a slight language barrier but the employee did not honor the 10% discount for checking in. Even though I showed her the Yelp screen, she insisted that I come back next time to use it. Oh well. Regarding the food, we wanted the rice cake dish (for good luck) and noodles (for longevity) in recognition of the Lunar New Year. We were sadly disappointed. What looked almost like Mac and cheese, was really sweet and the noodles had zero taste, kind of strange because there was tons of sauce. Anyway, they did have eco friendly to-go containers though. Sorry, nothing else impressed me. read more

An adorable little yellow food truck located next to Coach women's in Waikele. They offer a large variety of local and Korean BBQ lunch plates. I enjoyed they're loco moco plate, unfortunately the beef Pattie's were not homemade, but were decent. The ladies are quick on their service and as friendly as ever. I'll definitely be back to try their other plates next time I shop at the outlets. read more

Visited a friend out on the west side and she mentioned food trucks behind the outlets. It was a rainy Friday so there weren't too many people strolling around 5 pm. I saw this place and was hoping to find some bbq chicken with no luck, so I decided to try their kimchee fried rice. Took about 5 min since there was no one else there and the eggs were freshly made to order. The ladies were sweet, offered utensils, and a bag if I needed one. I think by the time we got back to my friends place it was 30 min later. I was impressed by the amount of rice but a little disappointed by the amount of the sides because the pictures on their board showed a plethora of vegetables. Although to their benefit, the slots were a lot smaller for this type of disposable container so that could have been the issue. The kim chee fried rice was delicious with the eggs and sides I couldn't help but eat the whole thing. I was impressed at how each bite continued to taste amazing even an hour after getting it. A must try if you are in the area! Plus they even had tables to sit and enjoy the outside air! read more
After a day of shopping at Waikele you need some fuel to reenergize. What's better than supporting local and checking out some food trucks at their side parking lot. There's a couple trucks so you can browse around and see what interests you. This bright yellow truck caught my eye and I decided to give it a try. I love spicy foods so I got their spicy squid based on their menu pictures. It did not disappoint! If you can't handle spice this might not be something you'd want to try. It's a good spice where you can feel the heat but not to the point where I couldn't eat. Super flavorful and had pretty good portions. It's a little bit pricey but it's a touristy place and it is seafood so it makes sense. Would definitely try this place again if I'm in the area! read more
