Haven't gone here for a while, was In Waikele decided to eat some Filipino food...Lechon Kawali. It was hot and good. Took it home to eat it with rice. If you're in the area, give this place a try. Aloha, Derek
Out getting my Covid and Flu shots at Safeway Pharmacy I had time to kill. Didn't want Chili's or McD so decided to try Dick's Lechon which is one of the food trucks lining the far since of the parking lot past Petco. I'm a fan of Lechon, pancit and all the dishes making up Filipino Cuisine (won't eat balut though) so this place has been on my radar for some time. Actually got here about 1:15 after the lunch crowd so timing was perfect. After perusing the menu I decided to have the Lechon and Pancit plate. As I waited I looked around for someplace to eat. Unfortunately are no tables or chairs so you either eat in your car or find somewhere out of that area to eat your lunch. Not a fan of either of those options but since I didn't realize this before I ordered I just ate in my car. The Lechon is very lean, nice crispy skin and a subtle smoky flavor. I liked it although I do prefer a more fatty Lechon. The pancit was the Shanghai version with the skinny noodles and slivers of carrot, celery and cabbage, my favorite! Would I return....yes but not with an appointment afterwards as I would just take my food choice home.
I was craving lechon -n- we were near Waikele so decided to try this truck out. The menu was kinda confusing. We ordered the adobo omelette -n- the lechon plate, which came with rice -n- pancit. Actually, I got the lechon kawali but when we went back to the car to eat, there were no tomatoes or onions . Also, there's a sign that says "don't forget to ask for sauces" but because it started pouring rain, I forgot -n- assumed they would just add it. The lechon was super good -n- crunchy but I'm a sauce person so it definitely would've been better with some vinegar sauce, onions -n- tomatoes. The pancit kinda tasted off, I can't describe it. The adobo omelette was ok, but salty; I was tripping out that the rice was so dark colored. I think I would go here again just for the lechon -n- I won't forget to ask for sauce haha.

Our go to place for lechon. Dick Lechon truck in Waipahu is the best in my opinion. Crispy roasted pork with cracklin skin, pancit, fried rice and that famous sauce with a hint of vinegar to cleanse the palette. Service is always quick and you can't beat the outside ambiance on a beautiful sunny day in April.
Wonderful Service! We decided to get the Whole Lechon Belly for New Year's Eve which it also comes with 1 med pan of Pancit or Fried Rice. They provide their phone number on their AD & Instagram which you could call or text and they have responded urgently back to me. They had lots of Rolled Pork Belly available and I didn't have to make a deposit. The pancit looked & tasted really good and the lechon was nice and crispy. I would say it was also a decent size. They were really flexible with the pick up time as my pick up was 4PM and I ended coming late due to traffic on the free way. I was still able to pick it up close to closing time. Lots of parking in the area and the pick up was at the truck in Waikele so it wasn't a problem at all. Very well done and a good deal for $178 for both Whole Lechon Belly and 1 med pan Pancit. Highly recommend if you have a last minute event. Definitely worth the holiday special!
Lechon is bomb very crispy and meat is nice juicy and tender, skin super crunchy! Pancit was great a bit on salty side but still very tasty, pork BBQ sticks were not overly sweet, perfectly seasoned! Don't forget to ask for containers for dipping sauces! They have 4 different sauces! I love the soy sauce shoyu pairs so well with rice, BBQ sticks, and Lechon belly! Lots of parking! There sometimes is a line, it moves by fast and I didn't wait long for my order in the 2 times I've gone there! Located in a parking lot next to Petco and old navy outlet! Plate lunches at reasonable price! Pink truck you cannot miss it! Will definitely eat again when I'm around!! Highly recommend!!
Whenever I have a craving for lechon, I want to get it from here even though it's a bit of drive from town. Always fresh, crispy and very flavorful. Last plate I got had a generous amount of garlic cloves. Gotta eat em right away because it's not the same quality once you let it sit. It will get soggy if you wait too long. A bit pricey, but hey what isn't pricey these days, especially in Hawaii Local friendly service. Only reason I give 4 stars is because the pricing on the menu is confusing.
10/10 would recommend!!! I saw this food truck on Instagram and was excited for a Filipino food truck! Great variety to choose from and good portions. Got there as soon as they opened and their food was hot and fresh!

Ordered the lechon fried rice omelete. (Their spelling) Was only ok. Omelette was fine, but very plain. Lechon was ok, could have used a bit more salt. Only burnt parts were crunchy. Skin was not. Maybe if it wasn't under the egg it might have been crunchy, will never know. Fried rice was oily and needed salt. Portion was big. You tell them if you want a container for sauce. You need to know what they are because the bottles aren't labeled. Also, the bottles need to be wiped down - they're very sticky on the outside. Probably won't return to this lunch truck.
We were not supposed to get this but my husband saw it when we went to get malasadas so he just had to. The lechon was so good! Yes, it was a little saltier than needed but with the sauce they give and with rice, every bite is just heavenly. read more
On my way back home from the Ewa side this morning, I had to stop by Dick's Lechon truck to fulfill my pork craving. It was almost 11am and it looked like all the trucks were closed, but fortunately, Dick's was open. It looked like they were only one of two or three that were. I decided on the lechon with pancit plate this time, since the Fried rice I got the last time was fairly bland. It was a good choice, as the noodles were flavorful, with lots of veggies. Unfortunately, the lechon was super salty this time. It was moist and the skin was veto crispy, but I could only eat a little at a time, due to the saltiness. I'm hoping this was a "one off", and they didn't change their preparation or recipe. I'll have to make sure by stopping by again to grab another order soon. read more

Ate it with the mang tomas sauce that was provided. The addition of spam pieces was to incorporate the main attraction. The fried rice unfortunately didn't have much flavor. I ended up eating it with vinegar to jazz it up. Bbq pork stick was really good on its own. The vinegar that was provided added even more flavor. It was actually my favorite out of everything; had a good char. Pork lumpia was two long pieces that was equivalent to like 6 regular size pieces. My kids enjoyed it. Came here on Sunday 8/24 and got my food 12:20pm. This was my first time eating here and last. It wasn't busy, just a few people in front of me. There were two guys that I could see working in the truck. The thinner guy took my order (2 choice Lechon with all rice x2 and pork lumpia). While waiting for my food, the bigger guy was VAPING inside of the food truck! Just gross and against health code. Got home and opened my plate, the pork was pink... I read other reviews as well saying they got pink pork. This was a huge disappointment. read more

Located at the lower parking lot of Waikele Outlet stores, next to Petco, 5 stars for the food, but 0 stars for the service. We usually buy from this Lunch truck, but today, there was a diff employee at the window and she had very very bad attitude. I first had to wait 10 minutes while they were cooking in the truck. She finally came to the window with an attitude, and I first asked for half a pound lechon, but my husband changed his mind and wanted a 2 choice plate with lechon. She misunderstood me and ordered 2 one choice plates, and told me the total, so I told her, no it's two choices, one plate, and she said, but I already typed it in and u said 1 choice lechon, the other plate pinakbet. I said, no. She then cancelled it (i didn't even pay yet) and finally made it to one plate 2 choices, grumbling out loud. She then she gave me the change, but no receipt, so I called the number on the truck that says no receipt get a free 1 choice plate. So I told her I got no receipt, and the manager called her and she told them she gave me the receipt, I argued with her she didn't, so she got my cell number and texted the receipt to me and said, there your receipt, so no promo. I didn't like her attitude and the concept that I didn't get a receipt originally until i called the number, so I should be getting a free plate, so I called the number again and explained to them she only gave it to me now, but no promo, and she had a very bad attitude from the start, which made me nervous even continuing, but it's the concept of it all i stood my ground. They finally gave me another one choice plate with lechon. The lechon, noodles and other food is good, but what a nightmare getting yelled at for changing my order even before they started to make it or paying for it, and for gaslighting me to think I got my receipt so she doesn't have to give me a free plate. Not coming here for a while unless it's someone else servicing in the truck, or will have someone else order for me. I hope she didn't do anything with my free plate since she was already so angry, and didn't see them make it. read more

Food truck row in Waikele. No choice but to go here because we were on the go and needed something quick. Menu posted: 1 choice $10.50 2 @ $11.50, 3 @ $14.50. Ordered 2 lechon plates and got the total of $28.27. Confused, I asked the guy in the window and he said, "you need a receipt?" LOL nah, bro....I'm confused with the 1/2/3 choice prices posted but it's okay, gotta go. Typical pricing but it is not clear on the menu so I THOUGHT that 1 choice = only that for the whole plate plus rice. One choice actually = 1 corner section of the plate. :/ forks were given, no napkins...times are hard! :( Setting is typical, lined up trucks with a variety of things to choose from. No seating; grab and go only. Quality, Portion, Taste: 3/5 - Lechon King in Mapunapuna, Po Sing in Mililani, and Roast Duck Kitchen in Aiea are still hands down the best for portion, freshness, and flavor. Tried their Super Combo plate and the Le'ahi street festival at Downtown Waikiki Beach and this stand had an extremely long line with all their meats displayed while smoking/bbq'ing. It smelled sooo good we had to stop and try! Big portions. Mound of meat, a long ass lumpia, rice and pancit. Had no complaints on any of the meat! It's hard finding fast food to fit my keto lifestyle so when I went to Lowes on my lunch break, I remembered Dick's was also in Waikele. I ordered a lb of lechon and asked for lechon sauce. The worker said they were out of sauce...how do you run out of sauce?! Anyways, I asked for a container and just poured shoyu and vinegar in it. When I got back to work and opened my plate, I seen that my pork was still pink (pink just like their food truck) ugh I couldn't even eat it...so nasty. I hate wasting food but I had to throw that away. If you want cooked lechon (with sauce) just go down the road to Elena's. read more

We were drawn in by the delicious smell coming from this food truck. I absolutely love pancit but adding lechon just elevated it. The lechon was perfectly cooked flavorful with a nice crunchy texture of skin. It was not dry at all. I honestly hope we make it back to this area. read more
