Tried at a food truck night market. Kind of took a long time. Even though their truck itself didn't seem busy. At least we knew it was fresh. Flavor and ease of eating just didn't hit for us tho.

Adobo with egg and lumpia/pork adobo with garlic shrimp!

Went back to kapilina food market every wed. 4-8p for the pork adobo and garlic shrimp. (Got 2 free lumpia's). My daughter insisted on her own plate. Generous portions and friendly people.

Where else can you enjoy Shanghai lumpia AND pancakes in one meal?! Not many other places tbh! lol My husband and I went down Kapolei one morning and decided to see if Julie'Z wasn't too busy. There was about 2 parties in front of us so we figure we wait and see how long it was. Turns out it wasn't long at all and we were sitting in no time! Ordering is simple you just tell the waitress what you want and in a couple minutes your food is out and ready to pound. We had their special Lechilog, a combo of Lechon kawali and adobo fried rice omelette. Is it the best Lechon I eva had? No, but it's still winnahs! The inside is the same ol' same ol' Julie'Z I remember from school time. So if you're looking for high end dining you not getting it here. But you will get a great Filipino food experience!

I'm really sad that this place doesn't taste or appeal as much as it did before :(…read more First walking in we weren't welcomed in kindly. The waitress had an AirPod in 1 ear the whole time we were there. She wasn't very kind, but I understand the food industry is stressful. We ordered the pancit, adobo fried rice, short stack of pancakes, and kare-kare. The food still comes out fast, but maybe too fast. The pancit came out and it smelled really bad.

She seemed very concerned and worried about my daughter who found it in her mouth. Thank God my 1-1/2 year old grandson didn't swallow it because he was eating it with my daughter!! Sooo dangerous ! Melissa will investigate this. Thanks Melissa. This taught me a lesson , as well as having a phobia . ALWAYS check your food when buying from restaurants or fast food. I Love eating and ordering pans of food at Elena's but I'll be very careful from now on.

I'm always a little nervous when I try new Filipino restaurants since my family cooks Filipino food…read moreall the time, but Minasa was so good! I didn't go to their actual restaurant, but I tried their food at a Filipino event. The lechon fries were sooo good. The lechon wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be, but the crinkle cut fries made up for it. The pork sisig with the spicy sauce was also pretty good! The employees were helpful and the food came out so quickly. I'm sure their food is even better at their main location! I'll definitely check them out.

A hidden gem in Waipahu!…read more Before I get into their food, order the calamansi drink. It's refreshing, on the sweeter side, and honestly the perfect touch to your meal. It truthfully completed everything. We ordered the sampler set, the adobo fried rice special, kare kare, and the lechon. Everything tasted great! The adobo fried rice was a little on the vinegary side for me. The taste was powerful, but everyone else loved it. The kare kare was my favorite. It was savory and just had a comforting taste to it. I'd order this again for sure. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so seating could be a little tough during peak hours. Same goes for parking, it's a shared parking lot with other places in the complex. But the service is welcoming and the cashier was so helpful guiding us on what to order and describing the meals.

When you grow up with these desserts or start craving the popular orange Filipino street food, the comfort it brings just puts you in a good mood!" SERVICE: friendly INTERIOR: tiny but mighty with lots of Filipino snacks, sauces, sweets, etc. Organized n' well stocked. EXTERIOR: located at Ho'opili WAIT TIME: none PARKING: street OVERALL COMMENTS: wanted to check out what products n' hot food they had available. Visited on a Saturday, which was good bc I learned that they only offered hot food on the weekends per the lady who was working. I really wanted an Ilocos empanada so I was glad to see that they had it the day I went. I ended up air-frying it when I got home. It was still good even after the egg got double cooked. Had yummy flavor n' I liked that the vinegar it came with had a nice lil' kick of heat. The taro carioca was my favorite. Sweet crackly exterior, chewy inside similar to like mochi, n' you could taste the taro. I like my turon made with a long wrapper; get more crunchy sections from the ends, so this was the kine of turon I like. Also it has a caramelized outside adding extra flavored sweetness n' crunchiness. It's great knowing there is a Filipino market that carries a wide variety of products n' serves hot food too!

This review is strictly based on customer service…read more We stopped in around 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 15. When we entered, one employee was wiping down the refrigerator doors while another was seated behind the counter. Unfortunately, we weren't greeted or acknowledged when we walked in. We browsed the store, which had a good selection of Filipino products, and I decided to purchase the onion and chive SkyFlakes crackers along with two banana lumpia. The male employee rang up the crackers and then spoke to the female employee in another language regarding the lumpia. I assumed everything was included in one transaction, but when I walked over to her, I realized I needed to pay separately. When she began putting both lumpia together in foil, I politely asked if they could be wrapped separately. Her reaction made me feel as though my request was an inconvenience. Overall, the transaction itself was fine, but the customer service could be more welcoming. A simple greeting and clearer communication would make a big difference. I also think that when discussing a customer's order, communicating in a language the customer understands would help avoid confusion and make the interaction feel more inclusive.
